~.:☽ Raven Shadowblade ☾:.~ .::. (bio) last updated: October 21, 2019
Early Years ~~~
In their youth, Raven spent their time alone, having no family or friends. They were excluded by their peers - bullied, mocked, and regarded as an outcast for their strange, thermochromic eye colors, along with their lack of social skills. They ended up secluding themselves to their house deep in the darkest woods, hiding from the world during the daytime, and only coming out at night to sit under the moon. They usually spoke with their only friend, Blaizepyre, an okamimimi who was treated the same way and could empathize with them. But most of the time, they simply wanted to be left alone.
During this time, they studied their magic. Eventually, through much trial and error, they slowly mastered the art of lunar shifting - harnessing the light of a full moon to transport themselves through different dimensions. To escape this cruel and lonely place for a better one, they thought, would be the only thing they wanted. Gaining just a fleck of confidence, on the next full moon's night, they set out for anywhere else but here.

~.:♡ Mizuki Winters ♡:.~ .::. (bio) last updated: October 22, 2019
Early Years ~~~
Ever since Mizuki was a child, she had a fascination with Pokemon and wanted to study them as she got older. She spent her free time wandering around outside of Hearthome City, looking for Pokemon on the routes surrounding her hometown. She befriended the local Pokemon that lived nearby and became familiar with them, writing down their behaviors in her notebook over time.
On a cold autumn day, Mizuki noticed something unfamiliar hiding in the underbrush. Inspecting it closer, it was a Shiny Eevee, presumably one that had run away from the nearby Trophy Garden. She seemed to be injured, so Mizuki took her to the Hearthome Pokemon Center and took care of her for several weeks on her own until she was fully healed. Afterwards, the Eevee refused to return to the wild, following Mizuki everywhere she went. Unfortunately, she was still too young to be a proper Pokemon Trainer, so she couldn't offer to put her into a Poke Ball. Instead, she named her Rainbow, giving her a collar with her name on it.
Her best friend and neighbor, Kaede, soon noticed that she was now in possession of a Shiny and became envious. They began to drift apart as friends due to her jealousy, Kaede claiming that Mizuki could never be a strong Trainer with a weak Pokemon like Eevee, at least not without vigorous training. Mizuki argued that careful planning and treating your Pokemon as friends would always be better than relying on brute force. They refused to agree on the matter, and they both vowed to compete against each other as real Trainers someday.
After Kaede's scathing comments, Mizuki became worried and asked Rainbow if she wanted to evolve. From what she understood, Rainbow didn't want to evolve to be stronger, but if Mizuki ever needed her to, she would for her. Mizuki agreed and promised to never evolve her unless she wanted to.
When Mizuki was old enough to become a Pokemon Trainer, she began her journey immediately - collecting as many Pokemon as she could, researching their habitats and where to find them. She received a Poketch in Jubilife City. When she visited home, she occasionally entered into Normal Rank Super Contests against her newly appointed rival, Kaede. To settle their argument from last year, they finally had a real battle to prove who was in the right. Mizuki and Rainbow ended up winning against Kaede's Poochyena, Spike, but only by a small margin. After that, they decided to train for the Sinnoh League, seeing who could get eight Badges before the other. Mizuki, unbeknownst to her rival, aimed yet higher - to compete in the Lily of the Valley Conference.
Past Memories~~~
Mizuki caught a West Sea Shellos on Route 205. It evolved into a Gastrodon after receiving the Cobble Badge in Veilstone City. She also caught a Baltoy on Route 206 near Wayward Cave.
Mizuki, after gaining an interest in coordinating, began grooming and taking care of Rainbow more thoroughly, in preparation for higher rank Super Contests. After much training, rehearsal, failure, and Poffins, they managed to attain an Ultra Rank victory in the Cuteness category. She competed against Kaede and Spike, who received second place. As of now, she is still training with Rainbow to enter a Master Rank Super Contest, but may or may not ever truly feel ready for it.
In the time she spent training in her hometown of Hearthome City, she befriended many Trainers and Coordinators who passed through to visit the Super Contest Hall. Among these, the Sinnoh native, Dawn, the ambitious Kanto trainer, Ash, and the Coordinators from Hoenn, May and Drew.
One evening, while feeding Rainbow her Poffins outside of the Super Contest Hall, Mizuki was approached by a small group of Trainers, followed by their own strong Shiny Pokemon. They smiled and disconcertingly asked her if they could have Rainbow for themselves, claiming they would reward her. When she immediately refused, they seemed to be frustrated, and threatened to steal Rainbow from her instead - telling her she could either hand the Eevee over or face consequences. Before any violence broke out, someone nearby stepped in, and told the Shiny collectors to back off, as they had no right to force someone to do such a thing. After a brief dispute and a staredown, the group ended up walking away in a huff.
The person who stepped in introduced himself as Gary Oak, the former Trainer turned researcher from the Kanto region. Mizuki noted that she had recognized him from coverage of the Indigo Plateau Conference a few years ago, where he lost to Melissa. When asked what he was doing in Sinnoh, he said that he was visiting to study the local Pokemon in the region, but had stopped in Hearthome to participate in Super Contests. He added that he had seen Mizuki and Rainbow performing at the Contest Hall, but had never gotten to talk to her afterwards. Learning this, Mizuki asked if she could join him in his research, to which he agreed. As of now, they've been exploring the Sinnoh region together since then.
Later on, the two of them competed in the Beauty category Great Rank, against each other and Kaede. Gary received the Great Rank Beauty Ribbon, while Kaede came in second place, and Mizuki in third.
She caught a Porygon while visiting the Trophy Garden. She evolved it into a Porygon2 by trading with Kaede, and in return, evolving her Haunter into a Gengar.
After that, Mizuki decided, after a lot of thought and planning, to take a trip to Hoenn for the next two months. She hoped to expand her knowledge on the region and the Pokemon found there. Before she left, Gary insisted that she take his Beldum with her, a Pokemon originally found in the Hoenn region. They said their goodbyes to each other in Canalave City. Current Day~~~
Mizuki is currently visiting the Hoenn region in pursuit of new Pokemon. She left on a boat from Canalave City and arrived in Lilycove City. After getting heavily sidetracked by the Lilycove Contest Hall, she received a PokeNav to find her way around the region.
She caught a Cacnea on Route 111 soon after she arrived in Mauville City. It evolved into a Cacturne during a tense battle. She also caught an Absol on Route 120. Beldum evolved into Metang to pull through a win at the end of a match, when it was the last Pokemon that Mizuki had left.
After heading down Route 110 to Slateport City, she and Rainbow attained the Super Rank Cute Ribbon in the Slateport Contest Hall. Taking a break from her journey, she stopped briefly to visit the Pokemon Fan Club, and learn more about the Hoenn region. She heard from one of the members of the Fan Club that Granite Cave, a cavern north of Dewford Town, was home to lots of unique Pokemon. Hearing this, she set off on the next ferry to Dewford.
When she arrived, she was greeted by a fellow Trainer named Breeze. They learned they were both originally hailing from the Sinnoh region, and briefly discussed their hometowns and which Pokemon they were training. As they walked towards Granite Cave, Mizuki explained that she often performs in Contests, and suggested that Breeze join her next time he visits Slateport City. She offered to cheer him on if he does happen to enter one.
Mizuki used Cacturne's Flash to light up the interior of the cave. As of now, they are exploring the first floor.
