Evanora stuffed her face without a care in the world. She knew her and her brother were likely to be punished for trying to watch Atlis, and she knew olwen would get something for lying to the king and sneaking into the castle. she looked up to Basil with large eyes that seemed to plead his forgiveness. She turned to Eadrid. The Queen had not touched her food yet, but sat with her hands folded neatly in her lap, her eyes seemingly distant. She sniffed loudly and offered her a half smile.
Atlis pensively ate his food, slower than the rest of the group. He wasnt sure what to expect from King Sybil, seeing that this was not his kingdom and the king nearly didnt welcome him in the first place. A million different scenarios played in his head. Was King Sybil going to throw him out? Escort him back to his father? Death? What about his mother? He looked up at her and noticed she hadnt touched her food. "Mother..." He whispered, placing a hand on hers. "Please eat." His eyes showed deep saddness.
Eadrid took a deep breath and came back to reality. Being here with the king brought back many different memories, thousand of different thoughts, and heaps of diverse feelings. The touch her sons had calmed her spirit down enough to look him in the eye. She shook her head and tentatively grabbed a piece of bread and began to nibble on it.
King sybil Shifted in his seat. He watched Eadrid, attempting to connect with her through the passage of thoughts. He longed for her to eat and fill her belly, to relax and trust him again, yet he knew that was going to be nearly impossible. He sighed. "Val, your presence is no longer needed here. You and the other guards may leave now." He waved them off with a movement of his hand, not leaving any room for a discussion.

Olwen's gaze flickered towards Eadrid as Atlis begged for her to eat. After a moment of what she assumed was consideration, the ex-queen finally began to eat. The silence continued to suffocate the room. Utensils scraping across plates were one of the few sounds that echoed through the large room. As the assassian focused on her food, she noticed the king slightly moving around. Moments later, he spoke up, dismissing his guard. Olwen noticed the woman, Val, eye her for a moment. It was clear she was uncomfortable with the idea. She didn't voice any opinions as the guard gave a bow towards the king.
"Of course, sir." Val signled for her guards to leave, taking the rear of the group and closing the door once everyone was out. Bazil watched them go. His gaze lingered on the door before shifting back to the group at the table. As everyone finished their meals, the half-elf deeply sighed.
"Father, now that we're almost done, I believe now would be a good time to discuss current matters." Bazil didn't want to push the king too much, however there was no telling how much the Virelith king knew or how much danger they all could be in. If he knew Olwen was missing, he would only send more assassians.
(That sounds great! I'm glad to hear you had fun. I hope you're feeling better now, though.)

The King let out a loud sigh and nodded at Basil. He couldnt avoid this conversation forever, and not dealing with it would only make matters worse. He straightened his posture and looked evenly at his son. "There isnt much to discuss. You disobeyed strict orders and snuck out of the castle unsupervised. You entertained an enemy assassin inside the castle, and nearly got stuck in the woods with a foreigner." His last words were aimed at Eadrid, nearly ripping her heart out of her chest. "As far as i am concerned, a few days in the prisoners quarters should do you guys some good." He knew he wasnt going to do that to them, but putting a little fear into their minds wouldnt hurt.
Atlis was still holding his mothers hand. When the king began to address the group, he felt his mothers hands grow cold and clammy. His heart dropped at the thought of going to be treated like a common prisoner, but reasoning with himself he knew that was one of the kindest punishments him and Olwen could get.
Evanora let out a loud whine. "Now you know that is just absurd." She nearly spat the words out. She slammed her hands on the table and stared at her father. "What kind of King would you be to put your own children down with those people." She was so angry tears welled up in her eyes. She knew they disobeyed, but it was for the good of the young prince. She waited to say anything further, pleading for Basil to help.

Bazil gazed at his father for a moment, eyes widening slightly as he spoke. Perhaps it was something of an empty threat, or maybe it had some merit. It didn't matter to the prince as he needed to defend their actions. He opened his mouth to reply, only for Evanora to speak up instead. He watched his sister for a moment, pride glimmering in his eyes. She pointed out the ridiculousness of his words, clearly angry. The girl glanced at her brother, who gave her a small nod.
"With all due respect father, I believe that would be an overreaction. Some type of punishment seems fit for our behavior, but nothing that extreme. We were just trying to help a friend. He went off with an assassian and we had to do everything in our power to protect Atlis. As we later found out, he wasn't in any danger " He paused for a moment and took a quick glance at the other three in the room. "I also would be quite opposed to sending any of our guests to the prisoner's quarters too. Anyway, I see it fit that we talk to our guests and come to some sort of agreement. After all, a queen that's supposed to be dead has been living in our kingdom for who-knows-how-long and Atlis fled from his home. Clearly it's not safe for him as they sent an assassian." The prince gestered to Olwen as he spoke.
The young woman glared at the prince. but didn't say a word. For now she watched everything, wondering how it would all play out. The half-elf continued to ramble on, making an effort to emphasize the importance of keeping them all safe and taken care of. Although she would never admit it, Olwen thought it thoughtful even it would be futile for her.

The king allowed Basil and Evanora voice their opinions without interrupting. He held their gaze, steady and unwavering. After a few moments of panic and anger, King sybil stood. "I am not going to put you all in the prisons ward." He sighed, his eyes leaving the group and turned to the large window nearest him. "But I cannot just let the fact go that there was an assassin running around under my nose. Or that my childrens lives were in danger. Danger that you, most of you, were unaware of." The last few were were towards Eadrid. He was disappointed. He knew that she was in the kingdom. He knew what she was doing, but the danger involved in her new life style had nothing to do with his children, and he had hoped they would ever need to find out. "Regardless, there will be a punishment for all of you." he turned again, this time facing Atlis. "You will be with me at all times." He left it at that, no further explanation. "Basil, no more late night rides, or day time rides. You must stay in the castle. I will increase the guards, and have one stationed at all doors in and out of the castle. You must report to me every four hours." He knew taking his sons evening rides away would catch his attention. "If your going to be king one day, its time to start acting like it." "Evanora, you are confined to your room, your study, and the kitchen. No more garden or running around with Atlis and Basil on adventures. This will keep you from doing anything responsible." his words carried heavy sarcasm. "Eadrid, you are going to be put in recovery." The words were softer than expected. "The past few years have been hard and you obviously need a tender hand for care." He looked down at the ground and thought for a second. "As for Olwen, if you are going to be here, seeing your going back to your home would risk your saftey and life, you and Val will now be best friends. You can continue your training with her. At all times."
Atlis held his breath. Staying by the kings side could prove to be helpful. He could gain some insight on how a kingdom should be run, and give his mind some peace. "Will I still be able to visit with my family?" He asked. His question included Basil and Evanora.
Eadrid let the tears fall from her eyes. Many things worried her baout staying in the castle. Who would take care of the beasts outside? What about the Queen?
Evanora whined loudly. "Ridiculous." She stomped her foot and crossed her arms. Reagrdless of her fathers words and decision, this was a better punishment than what she expected. He knew she loved going to the garden and raising her plants, but keeping the whole group separated? How safe could that be?

Bazil watched his father as the man carefully considered his next words. He was bluffing, which was good even if he believed they still needed to be punished. What he said next, was quite the opposite. He looked to Atlis and ordered him to stay by his side for the time being. Bazil's fate was being confined to the castle while his sister was forced to be in her room. As for their assassian friend, she would be with Val. The half-elf considered his father's words for a moment with a nod. It seemed fair and unsurprising. After sneaking out, it made sense they would all be under watch. While Bazil remained silent, Evanora, unsurprisingly, spoke up. She wasn't happy about the new arrangements. His attention shifted towards Atlis as he asked about visiting family. Surely the king would allow at least monitored visits.
While the others remained silent, Olwen couldn't help but disagree with King Sybil's words. "With all due respect, sir I'm afraid I can't let that happen." The young woman paused and let her words hang in the air. Bazil turned towards her, eyes widened in surprise.
"What do you mean? You're a guest in our kingdom and you will respect our king's wishes."
Olwenscoffed and shook her head. "No. The Virelith king is a powerful man with highly skilled assassians at his disposal. Assassians even more powerful than me. He wants his son back, likely to being him to death. King Sybil, he will send people after me, Atlis, and the rest of you due to my failures. I need to go and destory Atlis' trail. I can destory any evidence he's left and buy the rest of you some time with the Virelith royals." Olwen's voice was even and matter-of-fact. No it wasn't an ideal situation, however that didn't matter. Her job was to protect Atlis. It was always to protect him.

King Sybil narrowed his eyes at Olwen. "So what would you propose me to do then, Olwen?" The king stepped forward towards the small group. 'if the Virelth King shows up here, we ould have no choice but to fight. Should the King be willing to put his families life in danger for the sake of everyone here? For a foreign Prince taking refuge here? "Atlis is of age, he can choose whether to stay or to go." He turned his head to look at the prince.
Atlis felt his cheeks flush. He should've known that Olwen wouldn't have agreed to stay in the castle, but he also knew that if Olwen went back home empty handed, she would be killed and another assassin would be sent out. "You cant go back alone... or empty handed olwen…" Atlis pleaded. He wasn't sure what he could say to ease the assassins fears and quell the Kings anger from their disobedience. "As of now, I am at King Sybils disposal. What he says, goes."
Eadrid stood, some color coming back into her cheeks. "Leaving the castle at this moment in time would be more detrimental to you than staying for a few more days to recover." Her voice was steady and sure. She tenderly held onto Olwen hand. "I just got my family back, i don't want to lose you again."

"Let me go and do my job," the assassian answered to the king. She was determined to get what she needed done, was even ready to leave. But Atlis spoke up and distracted her. She glanced at the redheaded prince for a moment. A pang hit her chest. He was right. She had to buy them some time, but at what cost? The assassian shifted her gaze as Eadrid added on. Her eyes softened briefly. Olwen knew they were right. With a quiet sigh, the young woman glanced at everyone for a moment.
"If Atlis' trail isn't taken care of, they will find him. Perhaps we can come to some sort of compromise instead. Let me cover his tracks or at least divert them elsewhere like to town. I don't go back, but we have time to form some sort of plan." It seemed logical. Olwen hoped it would work, but there was a chance the answer would be no. Of course it wasn't like that would stop her. She had ways of getting out of diffcult situations.
"I don't believe that would be a terrible idea," Bazil piped up. Of course there were things they had to figure out. Olwen appeared to be quite crafty and if not careful, she could escape. However, he doubt that would happen. The white-haired assassian seemed to deeply care about Atlis and his mother. She would come back for them to protect them. The half-elf shifted away his gaze and glanced towards his father. He was curious to hear the king's answer.

The king watched Olwen. it was clear to him that she cared about the young prince and his mother, and was willing to do whatever they could to help. "I will say this now, these arrangements are no means permant, but necessary for the next few days until we decide what to do with The King of Virelth. Olwen, seeing you are not my assassin, you are free to decide what path you take. Your burden is heavy enough without me adding to it." The king understood her mission and was not going to get in the way of stopping it. She was loyal to her kingdom yet willing to die for the Prince at the same time. "You may be welcomed into the kingdom once more to let us know the status of the King, and maybe we can make a plan to once youve diverted the others away from Young Atlis trail." The king left it at that.
Evanora cocked her head to one side as her father completely changed his mind on the assassin. "So that's it? Your just going to let her go?" She crossed her arms. She didnt mean any harm in the question, but she was shocked that he would just let the assassin run out without being watched until she was out of the kingdom.

Olwen watched the king as he spoke. She gave a curt nod to his words. Although she appeared cold and uncaring, the grim weight of her mission hung on her. Perhaps destory and simply altering Atlis' path would be enough to protect everyone for the time being. But going to the source and lying from the inside might have better results. Truthfully the young woman was at a loss on what to do. Olwen would give herself time to think about it. This was not a decision she could make lightly. If her birth mother or the other king found out...well it wouldn't end well for her.
"I will stay for the day, but tomorrow I'll go. Perhaps I'll return by the end of the day, or maybe I'll have gone back to Virelith. I haven't decided what to do yet." She wasn't fond of admitting such a thing, but the assassian needed to be honest. She glanced towards Evanora and cocked a brow as the girl spoke up. Did she care or was she simply shocked by her father's decision? Olwen didn't bother to ask.
While his sister seemed displeased with their father's decision, Bazil wasn't. The half-elf nodded. It was fair. After all, it would be diffcult to keep a highly skilled assassian within the castle walls. She had found a secret passage even he didn't know about, which meant escape would be easy for her. As for Olwen's words, they interested the man. She didn't make a decision, but the assassian also had considered staying. That was a good sign. Probably.
"Is that all for now, father?" Bazil asked after a moment.
(Okay, I had an idea. I would image getting Atlis back would be the first major solo mission Olwen has and because of that either she's not fully trusted or there are concerns about her performance. So. maybe other assassians are sent for some drama at some point?)

(I like that idea!)
The king nodded his head. "yes. that it all for now." The King called for the servants to come in and clean up the dinner area and put things away. "You may all go now." He turned to leave. He had so much on his mind, he didn't want to put on anyone else in the room. He turned and went out to the gardens to ease his mind.
Atlis turned to Olwen. "What are you going to do?" He asked worriedly. He wasnt comfortable with her going back to Virelth empty handed, he knew his father would show her no mercy, but he was at the hand on King Sybil at the moment.
Evanora sighed, "well, I suppose i have no where to go other than the library. Im going to read." She said matter of factly. She was irritated at the whole situation and would rather have her alone time right now.
Eadrid silently left the room unnoticed. She wanted to go talk with the King. She followed him quietly out to the gardens.

Bazil gave a slight nod to his father. It seemed reasonable. The prince got up and headed out of the room at his father's request. The king was the first one out and undoubtedly informed the guards of his decision. The half-elf sighed. There would be no more rides for the time being. Well rides off castle grounds that was. If he was lucky, he would be able to ride in the pastures for the time being. As Bazil exited the room, he heard his sister's decoration before heading to his study. The pair of guards who followed were obvious.
As the others went off, Olwen hung behind for a moment. She had things to think about and a decision to make. She was at a loss on what to do. As she stared off for a moment, Atlis pulled her back. The assassian glanced at the prince. He was worried about her. Of course he was worried about her. Olwen simply sighed. "I'm not sure yet," she admitted. On the one hand, by diverting or destory Atlis' tracks it might throw the other assassians off his trail. More importantly she wanted to be by him and Eadrid, make sure they were safe and protected. On the other hand, if she went back there were ways for her to plead for mercy. Varda was the lead assassian and her mother. As cold as she was, she did care about Olwen. In her own way.
"I'm not sure what I'll do yet," Olwen repeated, "but whatever I decide you and Eadrid will at least be safe."
(Awesome)

Atlis understood her mission and her mindset. It was going to be hard seeing her go again and not know if she was going to come back. In a perfect world she would stay and carry on her training here, begin a new life in a new kingdom with Atlis and his mother. Sadness gripped his heart once more, causing him to reach out and grab her upper arm. "I don't want to lose you again..." He whispered. Before it was too awkward, he let go and took a deep breath. "But go do what you must. May the gods go with you." He nodded. He knew he couldn't keep her here, it was much more dangerous than letting her go, she was a strong woman.
Eadrid fondled the large bulbs in the garden. The bright reds, the deep blues, yellows and oranges were amazing, seeing there was a slight nip in the air. She drank in the intoxicating sweetness of the garden, letting it overflow her senses. She could clearly see why Evanora let herself relax here all the time. "Evanora is quite the garden-keeper." She stated, catching King Sybil off guard. "She does has quite the gift." He admitted.
((Maybe we could bring in the queen???)

It was just her and Atlis left. Olwen was going to leave the room. Before she had the chance, a sudden warmth on her arm grabbed her attention. Atlis lightly pulled pulled on her arm. The woman glanced back at him for a moment before diverting her gaze and hanging her hand. Guilt tugged at her chest. He needed her. But she also needed to protect him. She listened to his words carefully, a pang hitting her chest. Olwen didn't speak. She just listened.
Do what you must.
The young woman simply nodded as the prince let go of her arm. She hesitated for a moment before taking a few steps towards the door. Then she paused. Drawing in a breath, the assassian turned and rushed back towards Atlis. She wrapped him into a tight hug and stood with him for a moment.
"I've missed our friendship," she whispered. Olwen fell silent for a moment before slowly drawing away from the redheaded prince. "I'm sorry, Atlis. For everything." The assassian stepped back lightly, her heart pounding. It went aganist every instinct, but she didn't care. She truly missed the long days of exploration and adventure with the prince back when their responsibilities were so distant. Things could never go back to normal, especially if she were going back to Virelith. However it was important that he knew she still cared.
(Yeah! I've been waiting for the drama that would unfold from her finally appearing.)

Atlis was taken by surprise. He had not seen this much emotion from olwen in years. Tears welled in his eyes as he hugged her tighter. All too soon, the hug ended and the young girl was headed to the door to finish out her task. "Olwen, wait." He held up his hand, willing her to freeze to her spot before she left to cover the tracks he left walking in the woods. "Take this." He looked down, sliding his hand into the collar of his shirt, he pulled out his old dog tags, given to him by his grandpa. "Just incase I never see you again. Please." It was the only thing he could do for her. She was leaving him ad his mother again, and he was unsure if he was going to see her again, but he wanted her to know that he was always right by her side.
Eadrid sat down on the stone that surrounded the flower beds. "Why are you keeping me here? You know its not the smartest idea..." She ventured to ask the King, her first love. King Sybil plucked a bright yellow rose and stepped toward the forgotten queen of Virleth. "Eadrid.. I have always loved you.. That had never changed."

The assassian paused and reached for the necklace as Atlis handed it to her. She looked it over for a moment, lightly tracing her finger over the words. She pulled the tags over her head and placed it beneath her short. The metal was cold aganist her skin, but she barely flinched. "Thank you, Atlis. I won't take it off." A faint smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. It only lasted briefly and before she knew it, she turned and was headed from the room.
Bazil had wandered into his study. The guards assigned to him waited outside the room, quietly watching the door. His punishment had barely started and already he was feeling the tug of boredom. Perhaps it was a simple lack of motivation, or maybe knowing the guards were just outside the door gave him no energy to do anything. No matter the reason, Bazil simply sat at his desk chair and looked out the window. With a sigh, he pushed a pencil around his desk, wondering what the others were up to.
(Not sure what things are like for your area, but how are you holding up with all this chaos? Also I know different people feel differently about it, so sorry if I made you uncomfortable or anything.)

(Nah you didn't upset me. It doesn't really bother me. Me and my family arent too scared, were pretty well off, seeing my brother is military, so we have a constant source of income, so we never have to worry about food or anything. Right now, my boyfriend and my brothers GF are staying with us just to play it safe. We haven't really left the house for a week and a half, but thats okay. Id rather be safe. People in my little city are low-key freaking out because everyone is MASS buying stuff from all the stores, so there isn't a whole lot to choose from, but like I said, we're lucky i guess because everytime were out of something we may go without it for like a day, and then we go back and then its there. I think there's one confirmed case of someone here?? But I try to stay away from the news cause apparently its making people stupid xD How are you))
Atlis sighed and sat down on a little stool that was near the kings throne. He was unsure of what to do with himself now that Evanora and Bazil were confined to their rooms. He wasnt sure where his mother and the king went, but for now that was the least of his concerns. (If you want to bring in The Queen to the garden so more drama can unfold that would be good)

The queen arrived the previous night after visiting her family on the Dalin-Moor estate. As her daughter got older, the queen found herself traveling more often. It simply made things easier for everyone. Lorina Evanora Vesper Dalin-Moor the Third was a former noblewoman of high status. Her family had a long history with the royals. It was only natural she and Sybil would've gotten married at some point, even despite his past affairs. When Lorina had gotten back to the palace, she expected it to be like any other time she arrived home- calm and uneventful. Admittedly, it was for a few hours. It was late, the children were in bed, and there was no alarm in the castle. Then the next morning arrived.
Her daughter and Bazil had gone missing only to have returned with a foreign prince, a supposed assassian, and an unidentified woman. Lorian stayed away as the king dealt with them, but that didn't stop her from prying, trying to find out what exactly was going on. She didn't find out much, but it didn't take long to understand the situation. Bazil and Evanora were in trouble, now confined to their rooms and castle grounds supervised. The strange prince- Atlis as she found out -was from Virelith. The assassian was one of his, or at least one of his father's. There wasn't much known on her. That just left the last woman. As soon as she saw her, the queen knew exactly who she was. Eadrid. The former queen was not only alive, but in the garden as Lorian tried to wrap her head around the situation.
Emotions and thoughts swarmed through her head. Anger, sorrow, curiosity, shock, and concern caused her to wonder just was in store for the kingdom of Zetta. Would the Virelith king declare war to get his son back? Would his people demand to know the truth about their queen's fate? Or perhaps would nothing happen at all? The queen wasn't sure, but she didn't intend to stand around and wait for anything to happen. Instead, she began to make her way towards the garden. If Eadrid was there, Sybil would have undoubtedly followed. She headed into the brilliant garden. Green full of pops of vibrant purples, deep blues, dazzling pinks, and stunning reds greeted the queen. Her daughter and the staff who maintained the area were quite skilled in the work they did. If she weren't so distracted, Lorian would've taken the oppertunity to take a look at the plants.
Muffled voices grabbed her attention. One was the man and the other was a woman. Obviously Eadrid and Sybil. Drawing in a quiet breath, she approched the pair. Her shoes clicked aganist the stones, she appeared before the king and ex queen. Silence filled the area for a moment. The only sound was the rhythmic clacking of her shoes. As the quiet persisted, Lorian cupped a white flower in her hand.
"My daughter has quite the eye for gardening, don't you think?" Lorian paused and eyed her husband and Eadris for a moment. "It seems a lot has happened while I've been away. Either of you care to explain the situation to me?"
(Alright, that's good! As I said, some people are stressed with the situation and it being everywhere doesn't help things. Anyway, it's good to hear things are more or less good/stable and that you guys have gotten lucky with having what you need in the stores. Also staying in a small group like that sounds great! Hope things continue to stay positive for you guys as time goes on.
As for me, also pretty good. My class is now online and it resumes Tuseday. I live in North Texas around the Dallas area(in a neighboring county) and the Dallas colony has been put on shelter. Not entirely sure if it'll happen in my area considering it's a suburb, but you never know. I also live in the country and my family is starting our garden for this year, so that plus what we have stored in our freezers means food isn't too much of a concern. Only thing I'm really concerned about are my grandparents(my dad's parents). My grandmother's health hasn't been great in the last few years and they're currently living in Calinforna. Both are in their early seventies, but as far as I know are both doing pretty well all things considered.)

(I wish i lived in an area where we could have a garden. I live in a really small city and its big college town [the college is the only thing keeping this town on the map and the Air Force Base lol] So there isnt a huge area for gardens unless you own a large farm outside of city limits.
I totally understand what you mean by worrying about your grandparents. My grandma lives on the other side of the state and I try to call her everyday to make sure she stays inside, shes 85 and has a bad heart so she wouldnt make it. Regular seasonal colds are hard on her as it is. Not to mention mt dad, who also has heart problems. He worries me a lot. We dont talk and dont have the best relationship, so I try to text him to let him know me and matt care and if he needs anything hes welcome at our home. You can only do so much tho.)
Eadrid froze to her spot as a sadly familiar voice rang through the garden, rooting her to her spot. She held onto the flower King Sybil had given her, refusing to look the Queen in the eye. She was in the wrong here, for following the King into the garden. What did she expect? Peace? In the enemy's kingdom? She knew she was going t face the Queen, but she never wanted it to be this way. "Your daughter really does have an amazing gift." She offered, barely above a whisper. She shuffled her feet, clearly uncomfortable.
The King straightened his posture and cleared his throat. Did the Queen hear his declaration of love for the once declared dead Queen of Virleth? He would not offer his Queen a moment of wavering. He looked her in the eyes and blinked slowly. "Its good to see you here." He reached out for her arm, willing her to embrace him here. He loved his Queen, undoubtedly, and would protect her with his life. It was her he had built a family with here in this Kingdom. Was he willing to risk it all for Eadrid? "My love, This is Eadrid, Im sure you remember." He treaded lightly through the path of conversation. It had been a few weeks since he had gotten to see her, after all, so he wasnt surprised she was upset about all that had happened. "Lets go get some tea and sit down and talk about all that has happened." He offered once again, unsure of how she would react.

"Yes she does," Lorian agreed. Her voice was even and strong, but lacked any emotion. As the queen switched her gaze between the flowers, Eadrid, and her husband, she couldn't help but notice the flower in the fromer queen's hand. There was no doubt he still had feelings for the Virelith woman and Lorian could hardly blame him. He never loved her. At least not in the way he loved Eadrid. It wasn't surprising considering what she knew about his love life after Eadrid and the brief affair with Bazil's mother. Lorian didn't let it effect her too much. After all, their marriage was always political first.
The queen watched as her husband collected himself for a moment. He cleared his throat, sat straighter, and tried to flatten out his clothing. He wore his unease on his sleeve and was never the best at hiding his emotions at times. After silece settled over the small group, Sybil spoke up. My love. She could feel a bitterness rising in her throat. Lorian wanted to confront him about such a lable, but she held her tongue. It was better to be civil, especially with such an unexpected guest around. At the suggestion of tea, the queen gave a simple nod and sat nearby.
"Yes, this is certinlanly a good discussion to have over tea." Taking charge, Lorian waved over to some nearby servants. She requested tea and watched as they rushed to follow her command. A table soon arrived followed by a the tea china and a few snacks to go along. With a small wave of her wrist, Lorian dismissed the servants. This would need to be a private conversation. The curly-haired woman passively began to assemble her tea. A delicate pour followed by touch of cream and sugar was ideal for her. Lorian took a careful sip, letting the tension grow and the pair to become a little more nervous. It wasn't that she got joy out of their misery, but she had been made a foo. It was only right she got to lead this meeting. After a moment, Lorian took another sip of tea and eyed them.
"Now, a lot seems to have happened in my absence. There's one thing really bothering me though." She paused and stared directly at Eadrid. Concern twinkled in her eye as she watched the woman for a moment. "I thought you were supposed to be dead. It was a huge tradgety for your kingdom and yet, here you are. How?" There was no bitterness or anger in her voice. In fact, it was the first time she bothered to show any emotion through her words. There, instead, was a curiosity and perhaps a bit of worry.
(We've had one since 2015ish and it's been pretty nice. Anyway, is there anyway to have a small indoor one? I mean I don't know how big your place of living is, so that might be impossible unfortunately.
Anyway, I hope the best for her and your family in general during these times. And even if your relationship with your dad isn't amazing, it's cool how you'd open your home for him.)

(Unofrtuantly living in a town house we have no yard. I got a little pot and am growing some flowers, but the weather keeps going from warm to cold to no sun, to cold :/ )
The King obediently followed the Queens lead and slowly sat for tea. He paid no attention to Eadrid at the moment for the sake of her and himself, yet something inside him felt hollow for leaving her do manage for herself, she was no less a Queen than the woman sitting across from him. The king quietly added a sugar cube to the little cup and stirred. The only noises that came were the klinking of silver against the fresh stoneware and occasional chirping of birds. uneasiness stirred in his mind, making his arms tingle. Turning his gaze to Eadrid as the Queen addressed her directly, he took a deep breath, he to was curious on how she was still living , but never had the courage to ask her.
Eadrid sat politely at the table, but refused the tea. She didn't want to tell the Royals, but tea made it hard for her to use her powers, and seeing that she was now in a sticky situation with King Sybil and Queen Lorian, she wanted to be prepared for whatever would befall her. She had eaten a large meal with the younger royals only hours ago, so she was quite full. She cleared her throat and laid the flower on the table gently. "I appreciate the concern." She offered, her eyes slowly rising to meet the Queen. She had never been asked to tell her story, and was slightly worried to become to vulnerable in the presence of an Enemy. She must choose her words easily, for he ma end up back in her own Kingdom if things turned out nicely here. "Many years ago, My husband, King of Virelth, went out for our evening ride. The castle had become stressful for the both of s, for things were changing and my Husband was becoming a man I didn't recognize any longer." She brushed her tangled red hair out of her face and looked up for a second before continuing. "He no longer saw me as his wife, or the mother of his children, but a road block on his path to a darker, less domestic way of rule. So the easiest thing for him to do was get rid of me. No one would dare question a King in Mourning." She added bitterly. "We got off our horses and stood at our favorite look out, a large cliff at the edge of the Kingdom, and without hesitation, he shoved me off the edge, causing me to fall to the jutting edge nearly 40 feet below." she looked down at the little wooden table and focused, trying not to let her emotions get the best of her. "I should've died, I hit the ground with such force that it knocked me out for days. When I woke up, i forgot what had happened and tried to help myself back to safety, but by the time I had made it back to the Castle, I was no longer welcome." She paused and searched the face of the queen. "I used my powers to heal my wounds and began life outside of the Kingdom, training animals, training Basil when he was young, and continued life on my own, until i ran into olwen, one of my dear friends children who had chosen the path of an assassin. She told me she was looking for Atlis, my son, who had fled the Kingdom in search of help from his Tyrant of a father. Little did i know that Atlis had come here and befriended Basil ad Evanora." She looked sheepishly at the King and offered a crooked smile. "Your husband offered a place of refuge for the time being."

Lorian listened intently as Eadrid recounted her tale from the beginning. She wasn't overly fond of the other woman, but did feel bad for her. Forced off a cliff and left for dead by someone who was supposed to love you was a terrible fate for anyone. What was most surprising about the tale, perhaps, was the fact she was Bazil's teacher. Lorian had never meat the woman in person before, but she never expected her to be Eadrid. Of course, she also never expected the former queen to be alive either.
At the mention of an assassian, Lorian stiffened and blinked in surprise. She was going to protest the idea of an enemy assassian walking freely though the castle when the situation was fully expalined. Atlis was running from something and this assassian, Olwen, was sent to bring him back, but she didn't. How peculiar, the queen thought. When the Virelith woman had finished, the simply nodded. It was a lot to take in at once.
"So your husband wanted absolute power and tried to kill you to do so. That, we can all agree, is quite concerning. He was willing to murder his wife for just a little power and who's to say that was enough for him? What of your other children? I've heard rumors of potential conquest of neighboring kingdoms and their help with it. Of course, rumors aren't always reliable." Lorian paused and gave Eadrid a moment to answer. It was a lot to throw at the traumatized woman at once. She ignored the last remark, instead focusing on the other parts to the story.
"Your son fled here to seek refuge then? What exactly is the king planning and what does he want with Prince Atlis? Or does no one know the answer except the king?"
(Aw that sucks. On the bright side, flowers are great. I just hope with the crazy weather, which sounds similar to here doesn't mess with them too much.)

"I personally am not aware of the kings current plans at the moment. Atlis would be a good one to speak to about that, seeing he was next in line for the throne." Eadrid shrugged her shoulders. It made her heart heavy to know that she was married to a Tyrant who would do anything for power and Authority. "Olwen has a good heart and wants to protect Atlis and myself. Theres a reason she hasnt wanted to go back to Virelth empty handed." She added grimly. She trusted olwen with her life regardless of her being an assassin. She practically raised the young girl and was deeply saddened by her choice of direction, tho she wouldnt do anything to change it. It was nice knowing someone smart like her was on her side if things were to turn bad.
King Sybil felt ashamed that he wasnt able to give his wife the answers she needed for the present situation. He had been so busy worrying about Basil and Atlis and Evanora that he had neglected the essentials for the reasons they were out running around. He was grateful that his wife was wise in her own way and collected enough to handle the situation in areas he wa lacking. "I guess I've been so worried about the Children that i missed the importants in this situation." He admitted, ashamed. "So, what do you think we should do now? Do you want me to grab Atlis and bring him in so we can have a better handle on the situation?" He asked, looking at the Queens.
(My flowers are growing a lot!! They really popped out today and it made me really excited.)

"I'm not surprised. Though I was hoping you heard some rumor or he perhaps revealed something to you before your supposed death. Anyway, you have a good point there. Atlis is likely to know more about the situation than any of us are even close to figuring out. I would like to speak with him and see what he knows." Lorian paused as Eadrid vouched for Olwen. The woman spoke highly of the assassian, though the thought of one wandering around still made her uneasy. The queen didn't let that stop her from making a decision, however. Her attention turned towards Sybil for a moment as he voiced his own opinions. Lorian nodded.
"To reiterate, talking to Atlis seems like the best option. He ran for a reason. His father wants him back for a reason. Whil we're ar it, I would also like to talk to this Olwen as well. She may have some insight on whatever the king does. If not, she certainly knows the inner workings of the kingdom." The Zettan queen gave a small nod. That seemed good. She quickly called over a nearby guard to enact her orders. Both Virelith children would be easy enough to find.
(That's really cool! I'm glad to hear they've perked up.)

Atlis sat in the throne room, unsure of what he should be doing at the moment. All too soona guard appeared and requested his presence with the Queen, The King and his mother in the garden. He stood and brushed his clothing, straightening them out. He called to mind the adequate he wa taught as a child when approaching any royal. This would be the first time meeting Basil and Evanoras mother, so naturally nervousness ate at him. As the two walked through the silent corridors of the castle, he couldn't help but recall the bitterness Evanora had when dealing with her mother. Was she as mean and cold as Evanora portrayed her? Was she going to rail on Atlis for coming to ask for help? Was she going to send him away to his home? Many thoughts raced through his head. Passing through the halls, he caught sight of Evanonra sitting in her study, her head buried in a book. "Hey!" He called, waving to her as he passed. Evanora looked up and smiled at him, calming him down slightly. As they approached the large wooden door that let out to the garden, he tookk a deep breath and ran his fingers through his crazy curly hair. He hadnt been in the garden before, so seeing the bright colors took him by surprise. No wonder Evanora liked to spend her time in here! He thought to himself. Walking past the many bushes, he heard the hushed voices of the Royals. He dipped his head in greeting. "Hello. Its nice to finally met you." He offered his hand to the queen.

Lorian studied the prince for a moment. He was barely a man with his few boyish features still rather prominate. Though standing next to Evanora made it less apparent. He walked in confidently and stood proud, though she could read at least a little nervousness coming from the young man. Finally, the queen took Atlis' hand before signaling for him to sit. She gave a small nod to her daughter, offering a spot beside her. She wasn't entierly sure if the princess would take it or not. It didn't matter much as long as she sat somewhere comfortable. Turning her attention back to Atlis, she gestered to the tea.
"Feel free to have some if either of you want." She paused to let them get what they wanted, if anything. After a moment, the brown-haired queen spoke up.
"As you know, I'vre requested your presence, Atlis. This is because Virelith concerns me. Your father was cruel enough to try and murder your mother and went as far as to send an assassian after you. To put it bluntly, what is he planning? Do you even know?" The woman paused again before she continued her questioning. She didn't want to overwhelm the prince.
