Silver cloud with leopardpaw, swiftgull, and featherpaw /
Silvercloud chuckled at leopardpaw. โIโm glad youโre excited.โ He meowed with a small flick of his tail. He was glad he was being a good mentor. He looked back and saw swiftgull, with a much smaller cat who was probably his apprentice featherpaw. Silvercloud smiled. โOf course! Weโre battle training too!โ He meowed, his blue eyes glinting.

{Lionclaw} Lionclaw listened in on Brightstorm quizzing his apprentice as he led the pack to a hunting area. He heard the Sunpaw's answer to his mentors question and knew that he was correct. "That's correct Sunpaw." He said in praise to the young apprentice. Lionclaw stopped at what he thought would be a good hunting spot, it was a flat area with shrubs and gopher holes scattered throughout. He lifted his head to take in a breath of the air around him, and he smelled something. "Do you smell that Sunpaw, can you tell me what kind of prey that is?" he asked. He could not help himself from assisting in teaching the young tom. {Leopardpaw} Leopardpaw dipped her head in acknowledgement to the two cats. "Hello Swiftgull, hello Featherpaw." She looked over Featherpaw, she had never trained with her before and did not know what to expect from her. She was clearly smaller than her so if it came to it she felt confident that she could overpower her. Still her excitement grew and she couldn't wait to show off her skills. |

Silvercloud smiled. She leaned in towards leopardpawโs ear. โGo easy on her.โ He meowed quietly. โSheโs only seven moons, she was just made an apprentice.โ He said before standing up tall and trotting away. โCome on.โ He chuckled softly.

The apprentice smiled at Leopardpaw, fluffing her fur out. She was excited to be going up against another apprentice instead of her mentor, it would be more fair. Even if the apprentice had three more moons of training under her paws. "I'll try my hardest, Leopardpaw I promise!" She hoped the other apprentice wasn't upset about going against someone younger, it would be fun!
{Brightstorm}
The tom nodded, acknowledging Lionclaw's comment. He was sure he was just trying to help, not cause any problems. He glanced to Sunpaw, surely his apprentice knew all of this. He would be a warrior in the upcoming two moons if his training continued at this rate. He felt a sense of pride at this, but also sadness. What if Sunpaw is my last apprentice? There's plenty of warriors in the clan who haven't had a chance to have one...

Swiftgull gave a small smile. His green gaze flickered towards Featherpaw, his expression softening for a brief moment as he saw how excited she was. He flickered his tail over Featherpaw's ears and gave Silvercloud a nod, "Battle training is always fun," he chuckled with a small eye-roll. It was always so-so situation but as long as Featherpaw enjoyed herself. Swiftgull could just deal. |

Sunpaw with Lionclaw and Brightstorm
Sunpaw flickered his tail as he sniffed gently at the ground. He followed along behind the two warriors, keeping a respectful distance. Although it was mostly due to the fact that he was trying to calculate how much prey had previously traveled through the area.
Sunpaw flashed Lionclaw a curious look and his gaze drifted to his mentor for a moment, meeting Brightstorm's eyes. Huh, he thought. The ginger tom sniffed at the ground, taking a deep breath and scenting the air. "Rabbit is the strongest scent... and then mice," he meowed, wrinkling his nose. There was alot of mice.

{Featherpaw} She jumped around her mentor, purring. "I could learn something new! Not that you don't teach me a lot, you do, but battling with another cat always helps right?" She asked, now feeling a bit upset at her words. She should have chose them more carefully, Swiftgull was an excellent mentor A great mentor! She couldn't ask for a cat better, yet here she was probably insulting him.
{Brightstorm} The tom nodded approvingly, beaming at Sunpaw's response. "Very good, what's something you should do while hunting rabbits?" He was quizzing his apprentice now, preparing him for the day his assessment came. If he is somehow my last, I want him to be the best warrior this clan has ever seen. He knew it was a lot to expect from him but he wouldn't be upset if his apprentice didn't turn out to be the best. So long as he's happy and loyal to our clan...isn't that all a mentor can ask for?

{Lionclaw} Lionclaw was happy with the answer of the young apprentice, it was a small step in building his confidence towards becoming a mentor himself. He did not know how long he would have to wait for the next litter of kits and every passing day made the urge of becoming a mentor grow even more. He believed that he was one of the better warriors in the clan and that he had the knowledge and skill to make an apprentice into a warrior like himself. Lionclaw even hoped that he would someday become more than warrior and hold a higher title within the clan, but he still had a lot of work to do before that. {Nightheart} Nighheart decided that he had done enough sightseeing and sniffed the air in hopes to catch a scent of prey. He caught a scent. Although he was not the best at distinguishing between scents of different prey, he could clearly tell that the scent that was present was not one of prey. He slowly closed in to the area where the scent was the strongest. Nightheart was right the scent did not belong to any type of prey, it belonged to what he believed was a snake hole. He thought it would be best to keep his distance for the time being. {Leopardpaw} The she-cat listened to the other apprentice talk to her mentor and she agreed, practicing with another apprentice could help her learn something new and it would be a lot of fun. However, Leopardpaw was growing tired of talking and wanted to get into the action. "Are we at the training spot yet?" She asked Silvercloud. She was oblivious to how impatient she being and her impatience often got her a scolding. |

Swiftgull rolled his eyes at Featherpaw and shook his head. He flickered Featherpaw's ear with his tail, "Calm down," he muttered with a deep sigh. He didn't understand how his apprentice could have so much energy. Swiftgull gave a small nod, "Leopardpaw will help you," he retorted, his gaze flickering towards the other feline, taking note that she was bouncing at her own mentor's heels.
Sunpaw, Brightstorm, and Lionclaw
Sunpaw let out a soft purr. The ginger tom practically preening at his mentor's praise. He flickered his tail and trotted along Brightstorm. "Stalk?" he meowed in a confused voice, not really sure what his mentor wanted him to say. He knew that you stalked rabbits... and maybe run swiftly since rabbits were quick. |
