PineClan is a very old clan, set in its ways and traditions. They have lived in their forest longer than any cat can remember, even the oldest ancestors don't know how old the clan is, or who it was founded by, or how it got it's name. One thing is for certain though, and it's that the clan wasn't named for the foliage. Don't let the name fool you, there isn't a single pine tree on PineClan territory. Instead there are many broadleaf trees such as, oaks, maples, and beeches, along with shrubs, perennial herbs, and mosses. Cats of PineClan are big, tough, and thick coated. These cats are used to cold weather and snow.
I created PineClan really off of a whim, I really wanted to roleplay but I'm picky and I didn't want to join someone else's clan. I much prefer doing things my way, I'm a bit of a stickler. Anyway, I thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, I know it's a lot. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or in PM, I'm pretty much open to anything ^^ Without further ado, welcome to PineClan! I hope you enjoy it.

"Hey there youngster! My name's Morningflight, I'm an elder here in PineClan, why don't I tell you a story while you pick my fleas an' ticks?" The dark brown tabby tom spoke with a friendly tone. "Now, of course no cat really knows how PineClan was founded, or who it was founded by, but we have a story, old as PineClan itself. Er... so I was told anyway, my mother told me this story, and her mother before her told her, and so on and so forth." The raspy sounding tom continued to ramble as you picked his pelt clean. "PineClan was founded by two toms and a she-cat. Stone was a dark gray tom, evilest cat you'll ever meet. Then there was Pine, a heroic, dark ginger tom and his mate Berry who was a white she-cat. She was even eviler let me tell ya'. Anyway, Pine went out to the two-leg place near the edge of the territory and recruited a bunch a' kittypets and rogues to come ta the clan. While he was doin' that though, see, Berry up an' left Pine for Stone. Them evil mouse hearts a'int done nothin' good their whole lives, an' ya know what? Soon as Pine brought those rogues an' kittypets into the clan and got 'em situated to clan life, Berry and Stone led a coup and drove Pine and his few loyal warriors outta the clan. A'int no cat know how the clan got on such a good track back to where it is now, but a lotta the success is accredited to Redstar, who was a kittypet 'fore he 'came leader of PineClan. Hey! Whatch those claw's youngin' my pelt is sensitive... much better, alright now scram. Shoo. If ya' wanna hear another story come back tomorrow."
"Morningflight? I've never heard of a cat by that name... you said he told you a story in the elders den yesterday? Well let's go ask the elders if they know any cat like that." Your mentor leads you into the elders den, bowing his head graciously at the older cats. "Hey, do any of you happen to know a tom by the name of Morningflight? My apprentice said they heard a story from him yesterday." The elders looked around skeptically, before finally one spoke up. "Morningflight was an elder when I was an apprentice, he died of smoke inhalation rescuing me when I got separated from my litter mates when the camp caught fire. I 'reckon he must have visited you in a dream, now what is it you said that story was about?"

Try to be as active as possible, Id like for you to post twice a week. If you hold a position of power in the clan i.e. deputy, medicine cat, or key plot member, your activity rate needs to be doubled. Meaning you need to post here at least three or four days out of the week. If I havenโt heard from you in up to two weeks, you will be deleted from the page, but will have an opportunity to resubmit your form. Two strikes and youโre out, meaning I will not allow you to rejoin after two weeks of inactivity if youโve already been kicked once.
This is a semi literate role play. No one or two liners here. Do your best to match your role play partners post length. Not asking for paragraphs here, just do your best! Ironically this is the shortest rule...
Standard role play rules: no god modding, no Mary Sues, be polite, follow forum rules, etc. Iโm sure you know the rules here if youโre interested in this clan, so please follow them. If you donโt know the forum rules or if you are caught breaking them we will give you a warning and provide you with a link to the forum rules.
- โฃ - J O I N I N G
There really won't be much of a joining form, since all the character forms will look like they do on the front page. All I ask is that you don't join with a cat with an already taken prefix, and to keep the genders relatively even! Also make sure to include your cat's age and rank. If you'd like to add a brief history of your cat, you are more than welcome to! Face claims are also accepted, but not necessary.

PineClan's territory is vast, in fact when border patrols are sent out, they often won't come back for two to three days at a time. The territory is often covered in snow or ice, save for green leaf, and can make it treacherous to cross. The Clan camp lies in the very center of the territory, with a creek running through the center of the camp and throughout the territory. It's rare but the creek has been known to flood in times of tremendous precipitation. The creek is known as Dawson's Creek The Creek. Original yes, I know. Throughout the territory are an assortment of spruce, oaks, and maple trees, however no singular tree is as recognized in PineClan territory as the Archaic Spruce. This giant spruce tree is located near the eastern border and is a requirement for apprentices to climb at least half way as part of their warrior initiation. Redstar's Cave is where cats of PineClan visit their warrior ancestors. Towards the south is a large suburban complex, simply referred to as the Two-Leg Place. Near the Two-Leg Place is an abandoned barn where rogues and loners will sometimes shack up. This is also a good rest area for cats who are on order patrols. It's called The Barn. The Mossy Hollow is where apprentices go to practice their battle moves, as well as collect moss for nests.

PineClan camp is rather simple. The Leaders Den is a large, hollowed rock with lichen hanging off of it. The Medicine Cat Den is underground, under the root system of a large oak stump, the stump itself is hollow, allowing sunlight to enter the den. The warriors of PineClan have made a cover out of stems and leaves to cover the top of it, in case of precipitation. The Elders Den is in the trunk of a very large, hollowed out spruce tree big enough for a cat to stand up on two legs and not touch the ceiling of the den. Meanwhile, the Nursery underneath a bush surrounded by brambles that the warriors built to be insulated. The Warriors Den is in the root system of a large tree that is no longer there. A top was constructed out of stems and leaves to keep any moisture and dirt out. The Apprentices Den is under a bush, sealed by bracken to be insulated. Through the center of the camp runs The Creek and beside it lies the Tall Stump where the fresh kill pile is. The leader of PineClan also sit's upon the stump to call Clan Meetings. In cases of flooding, the clan will retreat to The Barn.

MAIN PLOT - Every cat in PineClan knows the 'story' of how the clan came to be. But what if that's all it was? Just a story. We are told that Stone and Berry betrayed Pine and drove him and warriors loyal to him out of the clan. We are told that Pine was the hero of this story, the clan is named after him after all. But what if Stone and Berry were the good cats? There is no if. The reason no one knows who truly founded PineClan is because the founder of the clan, Pine, is in the Dark Forest. However he has chosen to strike back against the clan that drove him out, seeing the clan as weak under the leadership of Acornstar, he recruits cats to the Dark Forest to rebel against their current leader.
SUB PLOTS - On a border patrol four cats notice that The Barn has been overrun by rogues and are caught by them. How they escape, if they escape, is entirely up to you.
Oh no! The camp has flooded and the clan is forced to retreat to The Barn, but with the entire territory flooded how will they get there? And who will they lose.

Maybe another player can be her mate? Like, they can claim him and make up what he looks like. I can always style the kit (or kits if the other player would want a larger litter size) after both parents. And I can leave her to the side until she has a mate. Would that be alright?
