Celia truly didn't know why she was the one who had to be here. Why was she the one to bring in a new recruit? Weren't there other people hired just for this? There were plenty of things that she could have been using her time doing than waiting here in some cafe. She wasn't good with this kind of work, and her boss knew this. Deceit and theatrics were not her strong suit. She was the kind of person who got straight to the point, not fooled with foolish word games. Yet here she was, playing the part of a CEO looking to form a construction deal. Why this was needed, she wasn't sure. If it were up to her, she would just flash her federal agent badge, tell him to follow her, and they'd be off to headquarters all in the span of five minutes. There was no guarantee that having her play this role would even work.
Sighing, she looked down once more at the file she had with her. There were blueprints of possible designs to show the man she would be meeting, quotes for supplies and deadlines, along with several other details that go long with construction planning. She didn't care for it. Underneath those papers were a couple of pages of known information of the man. Jiyeong Carter Park, twenty-four. There was not much information on the man, but what was known of him was enough to give her bosses interest in him. Her job was to get his interests with them.
(BLeh, sorry if it's not good. >.< )

It wasn’t much longer before he got there. It was odd, being contacted by some CEO of whatever company. Usually he worked locally, for people who didn’t want to pay all the extra fees for actual contractors and landscapers. Not that this wasn’t a welcome offer, but he also just wasn’t a proper person. He never cared much for anybody’s position, rather he focused on how they treated people others, especially those ‘beneath’ them. So how the hell was he supposed to act? He only hoped she wasn’t expecting much in terms of appearance. After all, it was nice out, and he wasn’t going to sacrifice his comfort just to get a job.
He walked into the cafe wearing a loose black tank top, jeans and work boots. It didn’t take long for him to spot his contact. Approaching the table, he came into view easily and held out his hand to shake. “Carter Park, pleasure to meet you.” Carter’s voice wasn’t extremely deep, but it had enough bass to it. He also had a habit of skipping his Korean name - he easily grew tired of people pronouncing it wrong, and most called him Carter anyway. It just made it easier for everyone involved.

(*holds up hands in defense and backs up a step* Okay, it's perfect. XD)
Celia was a hard person to miss. While dressed in a simple grey pants suit, there were a couple of details that stood out that didn't quiet match the professional appearance. First detail was the fact that her normal pale blonde hair was dyed a silver in color and tied loosely back behind her head. The second, and the detail that caused a couple of people to continuously look her way, was the large scar that ran diagonally across her face, starting above her right eye and ending below her left. If the woman seemed to notice these looks, she gave no indication.
When the door opened, the woman looked up to see Mr. Parker enter the cafe. Finally, she thought, but kept her expression neutral. She knew it was him because her paper work included a picture of him as well. She let the folder fall close for a moment, even though it would be opened again soon, and straightened in her seat. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Parker," she greeted with a nod. There was no smile, but her tone was pleasant enough. "I'm Celia Locke. Pleasure to meet you. Please, have a seat."

(ANOTHER VICTORY XD)
Celia Locke. Right, that sounded like the name from the phone call. Sitting down across from her, he assessed her for a second. Well, he was sure she could handle herself if the scar was any indicator. He was also sure that anybody would know her anywhere. It was a sentiment he understood, consider his right arm was covered in ink from his should down to the backside of his hand. There were also a couple tattoos on his neck - he was rather hard to miss at this point. Still, it was bothersome sometimes to just have people know who you were.
Carter rolled his shoulders, leaning back in the chair. “So, you want an expansion as well as an addition, correct?” It was right down to business with him. He wasn’t usually one for small talk, though he wasn’t opposed to it. He just preferred observing rather than talking. It was odd for such a company to hire one man to do the whole project. They’d be paying him for much longer than if they hired an actual company. Still, he wasn’t about to complain - it would be good money. “Do you have blueprints or do you need them drawn up?”

(Lucky for you, I run from conflict instead of confronting it. XD)
If there was one thing she had to give the man credit for, he got down to business. Celia, who was very much the same, felt a bit better about the exchange. "That is correct," she told him. Opening her folder once more, she took out the two blueprints and passed them to Carter. "We took the liberty of making the blueprints, just to be sure they were how we want them. We've had the contractor who built our original building review them to make sure everything would work. We would have hired him, of course, had he not retired. The man who took over his company doesn't exactly match his predecessor's quality of work. Really, what we're most focused on getting done is the addition to the original building. The expansion can be started at a later date should you choose to do it. Look them over, and then we can discus the details of the project in full."

(Highkey that’s a mood - I just hope the other person runs first xD)
When she concerned the nature of the job, he only nodded a little. Nothing he couldn’t handle, he genuinely just thought it odd. After all, despite his supernatural abilities and skill, he was still only one person. The lupine listened as to her as she presented him with two blueprints. He looked them over, giving a vague nod to the reason for not hiring a company. “Right... so rather than going with a different company of high quality you’re trying to hire a singular man.” Even out loud it sounded ridiculous to him.
Still, he sat up a little, looking at the prints a little closer. “The addition would take time but if that’s the priority there’s no reason why it can’t be done. Expansions are easy. When we’re you looking to start?” He didn’t really care about why they were hiring only him. Surely a CEO was smarter than that, yes? Carter didn’t mind working with others, so long as he was head of the project. Even if he wasn’t... well, he’d get his way regardless.

( XD So do I.)
"We're not idiots, you know," Celia returned, leaning back in her seat. "We're hiring you to lead the project. We've heard good things about you and your work. Apparently, people claim you are good at what you do. Should you choose to take on the job, you will be able to pick a crew that you trust to help you accomplish the build. No one would expect you to finish this project on your own, unless, of course, you're able to duplicate yourself.
"As for a starting date, we would like it to be started as soon as possible," she continued. If you are interested, we will go take a tour of the building so you can get a first hand look at where you will be working, figure out the lay of the land. I understand that it might take a few days to assemble a crew, so would Friday be a good time for you to come and inspect the building?" That would give him two days. Not enough time to actually find people to work under him, but enough time for him to make up his mind on the "project."

Carter chuckled a little. "Never said you were, just makin' a point," he responded, eyeing her as she leaned back. As she continued to speak, raising an eyebrow. Apparently? Sounded like she doubted him. Huffing, he leaned back once more, crossing his arms over his chest. Still, he said nothing until she was finished. As soon as possible, but she wanted to tour Friday... Not completely logical. Why would he promise a crew a job before touring? Spirits forbid he decided not to take the job after all, his friends would be mighty disappointed. He couldn't do that to them. Sure, he didn't have a full understanding of the pack mentality, but he was loyal.
His friends were his go-to. They knew how he worked so they didn't question him too much, especially with thinkings like this. They just followed his lead. Still, he was unsure of their current schedule... But there were enough of them. Two or three would suffice. Wouldn't hurt to ask, he supposed. "Sounds good." Carter confirmed. "Give me a time and address and I'll be there."

She could feel him weighing the information as he looked at her. It had been a reasonable line of logic to her, but she wasn't entirely sure what really went on when discussing contracting agreements. For the umpteenth time, she wished someone else had been sent instead of her. Ah well, at least in the end he agreed to it.
With a nod, Celia sat back up and began to gather up the paperwork. "Great. How about 9 am on Friday?" she offered. "Bright and early, and it'll give you plenty of time to do whatever you might need to do after the tour. If I could have the blueprints back, please. I'll be sure to have them present with us as you inspect the building. As for the address," the silver haired woman passed along a business card, bearing the name and address of the government building that she worked for. Of course, the name was vague to a point where people knew it was important, but didn't really know what type of work went on inside. "This should answer that question. If you have any other questions in the meantime, do call the number that's on the card. We'll be more than happy to get you those answers."

He watched as she sat up, offering a time. “Perfect.” He’d be up with the sun anyhow, so it didn’t really matter what time. Sliding the blueprints back to her side of the table, he stood, stretching his arms over his head. Taking the card, Carter pocketed it without so much we looking at it. He’d pin it on his wall so it was there for him Friday morning. “Will do. I’ll see you Friday.” With a short wave, he was walking out of the cafe, not really waiting for a response. Probably one of his more odd consultations, but still. He supposed it went off without a hitch.
So for now, it was nap time. Well, taking out venison to defrost and then taking a nap. He had jobs later tonight, and he preferred to be coherent while doing them.

(You right - and heck yeah time skip)
Friday morning, he was up with the sun like he knew he would be. When 8 AM rolled around, he ripped the business card off the wall. Not that far of a walk, it wouldn’t take long. So he left the house, looking just as casual as he did two days ago. It would only take half an hour, leaving him half an hour to wander the premises on his own before the official tour. As he thought, it only took him half an hour to get there, and it didn’t take long for him simply let himself in through the front doors.
(This is also lame xD)

Celia detested coming into work early. The whole beauty of her position was the freedom that came with it. Yet, while she wasn't currently on an assignment, that meant she had to be the one making and meeting with Carter for his tour of the building. Sure, she could have told him any time to meet with them, but she knew her boss would much rather have a word with the man as quickly as possible. So, when nine o'clock rolled around, she was waiting in the main lobby, dressed in a similar outfit as the one when they first met, and trying not to scowl at everyone walking by.
"Ah, good morning, Mr. Parker," she greeted when he entered the building. A few quick steps brought her over to him. Now that they both were standing, the height difference was quiet noticeable. Celia only stood at 5'2, 5'3 if was was really trying to be intimidating. It was something she was teased about often, but that didn't mean she didn't set records straight whenever that happened.
(It was fine. ^^ )

Carter had a thing about being at least a little early for business meetings. This was no different. He was quickly greeted by Celia. He grinned a little, only just now noticing how much taller he was compared to her. Even still, he said nothing of it. “G’mornin. So, let’s get this underway. I’m sure you don’t have all day.” He just wanted to see if bringing in the boys was necessary. Depending on exactly how large the addition was, he could take care of it himself if the weather was kind.
He also really wanted to just go out to the woods. It was a few miles out, but it was worth it. He really needed a good stretch and run, and honestly he was low on venison. It’s been a few days since he’d been able to get out there as he’d been busy with a decent amount of jobs. Today, though, this was all he had to do until the sun went down.

(Lol it’s fine don’t worry about it)
Carter nodded a little. Meeting the director before accepting a job? Interesting. Besides, he figured the rate of pay would have already been decided, though he wasn’t complaining. He tended to get his way in terms of how much he got paid for working. “Yeah, Alright. Let’s go then.” He really just wanted to get out of her as soon as possible so that he could go out and stretch. So, the sooner he met this guy, the sooner he’d be done with the tour, and then he could leave.

(P.S. I have no idea how to go about the upcoming meeting, so I apologize if it's not the best. XD)
"Then follow me," Celia said. With that, she turned and headed for the elevator. There was two that were used for public use. They did have a lot of regular people coming in and out of the building, so they needed way to reached the upper floors. However, there was a portion of the building in the back where private elevators could be found. This would take those who worked here to off limits destinations within the building that no one else could get to. Right now, however, she lead Carter to the public elevators. If all went well, he would get access to the others later. Right now, though, she had a ruse to maintain. Calling the elevator, she waited until the doors opened and slipped inside. Once Carter was inside, she pressed the button for the fourth floor, the highest level. The doors shut, and they were quickly on their way. She stood in silence, not having anything to offer as small talk and not really caring at the moment. The blouse she was wearing had one of those annoying, itchy tags, and it was doing nothing to help improve her mood.
The doors opened, Celia stepped out into the hallway. This floor was mostly meeting rooms, so the traffic here was low. Either everyone was already in a room or on a different floor. She led the way to the end of the corridor, stopping in front of the door. A silver plaque that read "Director Louis R. Johnson" stared down at them, which she ignored. She had been here enough times, the plaque no longer caught her attention. Instead, she knocked on the door three times. Through the door, a muffled response to enter was given. The woman opened the door, stepped just inside and moved out of the way so Carter could enter. "Director, Mr. Parker is here to speak with you."

(Honestly I don’t either so we’re gonna power through this together xD)
Carter followed her with is, hardly taking in his surroundings as they went. There would be plenty of time for drinking in his environment’s details later. Once in the elevator, he leaned against one of the walls, not bothering to try and make small talk. He didn’t have anything to say, and it just wasn’t in his nature. So, he stayed quiet, closing his eyes briefly. Soon enough it was stopping and the doors were opening once more. So, he stood up straight and followed her off.
Following her, he glanced at each door, figure they were all offices and what not. Soon enough, they were stopped at a door with a silver plaque and his eyes narrowed a little. Right, so don’t touch that... he didn’t quite care for what it said, only it’s location. As the door opened she Celia stepped aside, he walked in, taking a minor side step to allow the door to close once it was release. “Carter Park - heard you wanted to see me, so let’s get to it, yeah?” Even with how high up this man was, he didn’t care for formalities or pleasantries. Or the manners most had when speaking to a ‘superior’.

(Good. XD )
The office that they stepped into was a fairly big one. There was certainly plenty of room in case he needed to hold a meeting with a group of people. The left wall was lined, floor to ceiling, with bookshelves. To the right there was a small sitting area, coffee table, and a couple of smaller desks that held a scattering o objects. The far wall was nothing but windows. In the middle of the room sat the main desk of dark wood and the owner of the office. Louis R. Johnson was a man in his late fifties, brown hair that was well on its way to becoming white, and a neatly trimmed beard to match. Upon his nose sat a pair of glasses he was using to skim over some paperwork before him. At their arrival, however, he put it down and looked up.
"Ah, yes, come in, Mr. Parker. I've been looking forward to seeing you," he greeted, giving the younger man a smile. "Please, come and sit down. You're free to go for the moment, Celia. I have it from here."
"Yes, sir." And with that, she silver haired woman stepped back into the hall, shutting the door behind her and leaving the two men to speak. She wasn't worried to leave Carter there with him alone. The director had plenty of ways to handle him if he turned out to be more violent than the reports led them to believe.

Carter glanced around, taking and interest in the amount of shelves dedicated to books. It was certainly interesting, and a few of them were dated by the looks of it. Still, based on the rest of the room it was definitely a style choice. Finally his eyes settled on the boss, who didn’t really seem like much as far as he was concerned. Then again, he was human judging by his scent. Humans never aged well, so he couldn’t really blame him. Glancing over his shoulder, he watched as Celia was dismissed.
It wasn’t long until the door was closed and he looked forward once more, eyeing the man again before he finally came forward and sat down. “Pleasure to meet you. So, what’s goin’ on with this addition and when does it need to be finished?” Also straight to it with him. It wasn’t that he hated small talk, but it just got in the way. It was much more efficient to be straight to the point about things like this, especially since it helped his clients feel comfortable with telling him exactly what they wanted. It eliminated the possibility of them feeling bad for telling him they weren’t in love with a blueprint or something of the like.

He chose not to acknowledge the comment, sitting down instead. It had nothing to do with what he was here for, and honestly, he didn't really care who he reminded the man of. It wasn't like he knew the man well or anything, and he wasn't a target, so the information didn't pertain to him in the slightest. When he offered refreshments, Carter waved his hand in a polite dismissal. "Listen, I appreciate it and all, but I'm here to discuss a job. I don't mix pleasantries and such with work, it just gets in the way."

"If that's how you feel, then so be it. I was simply trying to show you that I mean you the upmost welcome," Louis replied. He leaned forward, propping his elbows on his desk and lacing his fingers together. Suddenly, his pleasant demeanor turned more serious. "Then let's just get right down to the real business of why your here, shall we? Mr. Parker, you've got quiet a background on you, don't you? One that's very well hidden, but not completely invisible. I'll admit, you were a hard man to track down, but here you are."

Carter only raised an eyebrow, through seemed generally unphased by the change in demeanor. He didn't care that much for welcomes, as he got everything he needed to know off of the initial greeting. Otherwise, it was all just in the way of what he was here for. As the man in front of him continued to speak, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Track down? Dude, are you sure you got the right guy? First of all, my last name is Park, not Parker. Secondly, I'm a self-employed contractor who knows more than half of the town's residents - it's not that hard to find me." Now, Carter wasn't stupid. He knew what the man meant, but he wanted to hear it outright, and he was a rather good actor. Acting like he had no idea what somebody was talking about was his forte.
There was a reason the police could never catch him.
