Has anyone read the iBooks sample? Is there more content in the preview? In the iBook version, there is a chapter 2... Since not everyone has access to iBooks, could you post the second chapter? Or at least summarize it?

This is a question for everyone: Did the preview make you more excited about the book, and why? Definitely, mostly because of the prologue and Squirrel and Bramble’s conversation. I hope there’ll be some cute moments with the whole family (Squirrelflight, Bramblestar, Leafpool, their kits and maybe grandkits) I’m glad Ambermoon, Whitetail, Juniperkit, and Dandelionkit were actually mentioned and Ambermoon’s death was pretty unique The actual plot doesn’t seem too interesting though, just a lot of arguing over territory. I feel bad for skyclan

Okay, so Squirrelflight is afraid that Bramblestar will take another mate should she outlive him and that she'll just be remembered as the leader's mate. The former I can kinda understand considering the whole Jessy thing, but the latter? She's done so much for ThunderClan already, both positive and negative. I doubt anyone would forget her so soon.

- Whitetail is already gone, but Gorsetail is still a warrior. - It's a little interesting that Featherpelt is listed as a queen here and Heathertail is still a warrior, despite her kits becoming apprentices before Featherpelt's did. Now I thinking that Heathertail is the type of mother that will try to continue working until Kestrelflight locks her in the nursery because she is only a few days away from giving birth.

- Aw, poor Squirrelflight. :c I understand why she's afraid that Bramblestar might take another mate if she dies before him as that does happen, but I doubt she'd just be remembered as the Clan leaders mate considering all she's done for the Clan. - Now she knows that she will never become TC leader like she always wanted to be since kithood. I mean, she might. But I seriously doubt it will happen. - Millie has become quite deaf the older she gets. - Aw, Cloudtail being all worried about Brightheart getting cold. - Squirrelflight wondering if it's time for Daisy to move to the elders den. That, coupled with the fact that Ivypool once stated that Daisy was getting too old to be looking after another litter, really does show you how old Daisy is. I really do believe that she might either die or retire at the end of her novella. - Squirrelflight REALLY wants kits. - Mousewhisker managed to catch a weasel.

Kind of annoying how when Squirrelflight is thinking of how much of a responsibility raising kits is compared to being young, she doesn't mention Lionblaze, Jayfeather and Hollyleaf at all and talks as if Sparkpelt and Alderheart were her only kits.

Oooh, thanks for the extra pages! Oof. Can I just say Bramblestar is being a mega jerk right now? Squirrelflight wasn't even talking about kits before he accused her of thinking about kits all the time. He was rude and snappish during the entire conversation and he even reprimanded her like a child just for disagreeing with him. It wasn't as if she knew what the meeting was about beforehand. I really hope she steps up and does what she believes him instead of staying beneath Bramblestar cause tbh? Based on previous books, I trust her judgement wayyy more than his. Squirrelflight worrying about her legacy was pretty cool to read about. It's not often that we read about relatable personal struggles. I see that she's in nearly the same position that Sandstorm was, being the leader's mate and wanting more kits plus being deputy. About Bramblestar moving on to someone else once she dies - I'm not sure how to feel about that. One part of me thinks he would never, buuut after his pursuing Jessy once he and Squirrelflight split and his recent atrocious behavior, I think there's a possibility that he would. As for Squirrelflight's worries that he'd outlive her and that she'd never become leader, well. Lost Stars completely refuted that, didn't it? Even though she's only the standing leader, she still is leader! Also, I wasn't a big Squirrelstar supporter before reading this (I didn't think too much into it), but now I realize I am. Seriously, she's a natural leader and she has a brilliant mind. She and Bramble should reverse roles, tbh.

I was thinking that too when Bramblestar was talking about when they were young, before they were deputy and leader and before they had kits to look after. I wish Squirrelflight would have thought of the three while she was thinking of her birth kits.

I didn't like his solution at all. It would be a big hassle for Clans to adjust to hunting grounds suited for other Clans and give up those that suit them. If they had chosen to leave it be, the tension would've boiled over sooner or later.
Yeah, I'm getting flashbacks to his awful attitude in Starlight and Twilight and especially Omen of the Stars. Ugh.

Me too, but his solution wasn't the best. The other cats were trying to accommodate SkyClan too while helping themselves while Bramblestar didn't want change at all. Not to mention him being like "cats are going to die because of you!" to Squirrelflight like what

Same!! I hope HarperCollins spills a few chapters. I think they've done it for other books, I'm not sure whether they do for Warriors, though.

And if she would to have kits with the possessed Bramblestar(and if the theories are true, which it probably is) that would mean that she didn't technically have kits with Bramblestar, because his soul isn't in his body, she would technically be having Ashfur's kits XD
