Shademoon
Open Interaction
Shademoon had always been a hard working cat. From her apprenticehood to the current times. She had trained hard, even to the point of becoming a warrior just a bit early due to it. She didn’t expect much, just make her clan and family proud. She felt she had, and yet the storm still hit and left her faith shaking again. As a kit, she often questioned many of lives codes. The warrior code, the reason for having a clan, and the existence even of Starclan. Yet she learned of trying times and learned to grow with them, and yet her believes threatened to crumble once more.
Deputy, dead. Medicine cats? Gone. Everything seemed to be stacked against the clan, and Shadowstar was still leader, strong and proud. But the shecat was back to questioning things. Not Starclan, she still believed in them, but things like, ‘can the clan recover?’, ‘Is this the end?’, and much more circled her inner thoughts like demons in her head.
Which is what lead the shecat to laying in the Warriors’ Den, baring an aspect of confusion. She wasn’t the most open to other’s, but she wasn’t closed off either. Maybe stoic, and serious, but never apathetic. She worried for her family and the clan, and eventually shook herself off slightly, eager to get up and get moving.

Cloudweaver- - - Camp, Skunkpaw, Echoriver and Brightpaw. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » Blaze ♡ lazy penguin Distracted from his grooming, the snowy white tom cat lifted his head up at the sound of his name, on his paws before the shecat was finished explaining her intentions to him. He was itching to get out of camp, never one who enjoyed sitting still for too long at a time he preferred to keep himself moving, but today he had other motives. Namely that he could barely stand to remain in camp, where sadness seemed to cling to the very air, a tick that none of them were quite able to shake. Mind already racing with potential ideas, Skunkpaw was proving himself a reasonably adept apprentice, though with much to learn the proud warrior had few doubts the young cat would grow to be a fine warrior. Cloudweaver looked around camp briefly, searching for the familiar scent of his apprentice on the gentle breeze dancing through camp but unable to spot him initially. “Sounds good,” he replied simply and somewhat absent minded. His brain already buzzing too much to reply with anything more useful as he contemplated how their day would be best spent.

» Batscreech & Sunpaw // Camp // 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨
Early bird catches the worm; or however that saying went. Being a mentor, that was a common philosophy to hold high too. Batscreech was one of those who was up and alert in the morning. Thank the stars her apprentice was quite similar with his sleeping schedule. Speaking of, she spotted the tom up and about camp. From the looks of it he seemed to be searching for something. Good, he's up and ready to go. She thought, satisfied. "Glad to see you're up and ready to go Sunpaw." Batscreech greeted her apprentice with a purr as she padded over to him. "Got some plans for today, but I decided to let you choose this time what we would do first." It wouldn't hurt for him to decide what to do once, give him some leniency. With everything that had happened it was the least she could do in her mind. Her head tilted to the side thoughtfully. "We could either do some fishing by the Sun Stones or some sparring at the Hollow. Up to you."
» Webkit w/ Speckledkit, Cliffkit, Swiftkit & Magpiekit // Nursery // Blaze ♡ , ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » , lazy penguin , 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨
It was very easy to tell when it was morning. With having your four other siblings around you, there was without a doubt you'd be up with them in no time. Despite that, the gray tom was content with staying at his spot. His eyes were closed but his ears twitched occasionally as he listened to his siblings chatting around him. Hmm, maybe I could sleep a bit longer... He thought drowsily. Webkit was beginning to feel himself doze off again

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 cricketbreezeoversleeping as always, cricketbreeze blinked his tawny eyes into wakefulness and opened his jaws in a massive yawn as sunlight streamed into the warriors den. lazy? well, his clan mates might think so, but a skilled young warrior such as himself should be well-rested. how much prey could be caught half asleep and bleary eyed? not to mention he needed his beauty sleep. a coat this glossy and perfect couldn’t possibly be sustained off a meager eight hours after all. sure, the haunting events plaguing his clan affected the young warrior in equal standing to everyone else. but he had never been one to dwell on things he could not change. for all his arrogance he was quite intelligent after all, no one could justly peg him an airhead. he would keep an ear to the political turbulence, current events, but spoke little as someone of such few moons opinion would only be taken so seriously. no doubt his unbothered attitude was irritating to more the more serious, but oh well. life was much more interesting if you focus on the day to day.
a few feet away, he noticed shademoon begin to stir. ha, he hadn’t pegged her as one to sleep past noon. no, he suspected something else was keeping her moping around the warriors den. worry, worry, worry, it was all the others seemed to do. but perhaps he could have a bit of fun with her. it was always entertaining to stir the anxiety ridden with his carefree attitude. “morning, shademoon, beautiful day isn’t it?” he chirped, his voice equal parts confident and carrying an air of laxness.

Echoriver with Brightpaw and Cloudweaver / mention of Skunkpaw Her blue eyes laid on Cloudweaver with an unblinking stare. Echoriver's gaze was soft and open, not wanting to push Cloudweaver to give her an answer right away, especially since she had interrupted him. She shifted on her paws, tilting her head slightly to the side and purred, "Wonderful," she meowed, feeling genuinely pleased that he agreed. Camp was suffocating, this would give her a reason for leaving camp and something to take her mind off of everything. Sometimes Echoriver felt like she was drowning in the sadness. She didn't even want to look at Reedwhistle, the older tom looked lost and out of place in camp without his mate by his side. Camp felt hollow without the others: Graycloud, Duckstep, and so many others.
"Let me know when you find Skunkpaw," Echoriver mused as she turned to head back to her apprentice. Brightpaw looked like she was still eating prey. It was good that she was keeping up her strength, she would need it for training today. "Join us when you get him," she meowed with a small smile and nod before padding away therefore Cloudweaver could go search for Skunkpaw in peace.
Once Echoriver returned to Brightpaw's side, she laid down next to the young she-cat. She watched Brightpaw with kind eyes. Echoriver loved being a mentor, it was something that she wasn't sure if she would excel at but she was doing her best to make Shadowstar, Honeytuft, and herself proud of the fact. "How did you sleep?" she asked Brightpaw. Her voice soft and low, so she wouldn't disturb the quiet of camp.

Speckledkit with Cliffkit, Swiftkit, Webkit, and Magpiekit - [ ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » , 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 , Fallen Stars , lazy penguin ] -Speckledkit wiggled in her spot among her siblings. Her ears flickering as she heard their gentle purrs and breaths. Most of them were coming into wakefulness now. She really hoped none of them were going to suggest leaving the nursery. Speckledkit had always been more shy than the rest of her siblings, even if the orphans had kept a distance for the clan in the past moon. Sometimes she felt frustrated by how she was. It was just hard to talk to others.
Speckled let out a meek noise and shifted over; therefore, she wasn't practically top on of Magpiekit or her tail any longer. Warmth rushed to her ears in slight embarrassment, "Oh sorry," she mumbled, gently bumping her head against Magpiekit's shoulder. Speckledkit's ear twitched and her eyes brightened slightly as she heard Swiftkit's words, even if they were grumpy toned. The diluted tortoiseshell kit lifted up her head to peer over Magpiekit's body to look at her sister. Her pale green eyes glowing with faint amusement, it wasn't that early and they went to their nest early last night. She was surprised they weren't all awake by now.

Shademoon
Shademoon only worried more, it froze her in her place. Though, most of the cats in the clan would know that Shademoon tended to be more active in the darkness, a better hunter, more alert. She was still an early riser, most of the time, but leaving camp on solo hunting missions wouldn’t help if she got killed while doing so.
Expecting to be left alone, she was surprised by Cricketbreeze, though, she reflected quickly, she shouldn’t be so surprised, this was Cricketbreeze, after all, an overly relaxed cat in her own humble opinion. Everyone, or most of them, were anxious and stressed, but he seemed the same as always. Then again, the lack in change from him left some stability, and in a strange way it was comforting that at least someone wasn’t so affected. ”Morning? Hardly,” she commented, voice carrying it’s normal air of stern and stoic manner, though her lips quirked into a small smile, ”And yes, it is a nice day so far, and you, Cricketbreeze? How are you?” it was classical and normal for Shademoon to be modest. Speaking perhaps overly formal at times, even.

Sunpaw
Ever a gentletom, Sunpaw knew he had to stop worrying over his sister and fretting over her, and paw attention to his other favorite female, his mentor, Batscreech. That wasn’t to say he didn’t love Shadowstar, or any of the others, but they were all family, and Batscreech, in a way, reminded him of a motherlike figure. Then again, his dad was Honeytuft, so it wasn’t exactly to be expected that Sunpaw think of Batscreech, a female, as his mother. He didn’t really see her as a mother anyways, just similar to one, it didn’t matter anyways. He trusted her, respected her, and that was that.
In better words, he’s a gentletom, and it’s likely he doesn’t dislike anyone and probably tries to be everyone’s friend. Regardless!
Training, Batscreech mentioned training, and gave him the option. He was so scatterbrained too! ”Oh, both sound fun!” he commented, bouncing up on his paws, ”It depends, if the clan needs some food, fishing it is, but if not, I would like to spar,” he concluded, still everso popular in his indecisive nature.

More bodies bumped against him and Webkit found himself rolling onto his side. "Is it time to get up...?" He mumbled under his breath. In that same moment he let out a loud yawn and his pale blue eyes fluttered open. "I'm up, I'm up." The tom said shortly after, pushing himself up to a sitting position. His gaze followed his siblings' in the nursery. "Hi." He said to no one in particular, giving a drowsy smile.

» Batscreech & Sunpaw // Exiting Camp, Approaching Apprentice Hollow [ 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 ] The mottled gray she-cat couldn't help but give a snicker. "I appreciate the spunk, kid," she commented. "Also that you're thinking of the Clan first." At least the apprentice seemed to make some sort of decision, albeit it wasn't a clear one. Batscreech nodded her head towards the trail that ran through and out the camp. "That energy'll be good for sparring, so let's head to the Hollow first." With that she flicked her tail, beckoning Sunpaw to follow as she padded off. The two of them wouldn't have to worry about expending their energy as the training clearing wasn't too far off from camp. Sure the Sun Stones were considerably closer to the camp, but Batscreech wasn't going to waste the high-sprung energy on more menial tasks. "The focus for today will be brushing up on some tactics you're a little rusty on," she began as they slowly approached the hollow. "If there's anything you'd like to personally work on, speak now or forever hold your peace. Then I'll just spontaneously start on what I think needs work." Batscreech gave a sly grin. Her amber eyes glanced down at her apprentice with a mischievous glint. Her fiery attitude was well know among the Clan, so it was no surprise her battle tactics had just as much of an impact as her personality.
[[ Now excuse me while I search up battle moves as I haven't rped cats fighting in a very long time aaaaa ]]

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 cricketbreeze cricketbreeze was pleasantly surprised to find shademoon's response somewhat blank and distant, but not cold nor cranky. she was stoic as ever, any emotion in her voice firmly under wraps, the lingering worry in her eyes probably only visible to the more perceptive cats. eyes revealed all, if they were not truly windows to the soul then certainly they were windows to the mind. for now at least, shademoon seemed determined to remain impassive, but cricketbreeze did not doubt that his charisma could coax out some of her deeper thoughts. eventually. “no, i suppose not, in fact i don’t expect anything good is left on the prey pile at this hour. i'd be fantastic if i wasn't starving,” cricketbreeze rolled over lazily and dramatically stretched his long limbs. “maybe a mid afternoon hunting trip - i could use the exercise - perhaps you could join me?”

[[ Some starters if anyone's looking to jump in ]] » Jackdawflight // Leaping Cliffs « [ Open ]
There were the early risers and then the true early risers who were alright out and about. If only Jackdawflight could actually say he was an early riser. No sane cat would be out near the base of the Leaping Cliffs at this time of day. The tom certainly didn't feel sane with the nightmares that tormented him that previous night. He had found himself awake before the sun even began to rise. Jackdawflight had quietly left his nest and ventured off to find a sort of distraction without disturbing anyone. There was no way he was going back to sleep after those dreams. At least he could pass it off as an early riser. It wasn't exactly a lie, seeing he was usually up at a reasonable hour.
So here he was now, searching around the grounds of the rocky terrain in search of something that would catch his eye. It was a well-known fact that the tom had an interest in collecting trinkets. An interesting pebble or feather that caught his sharp yellow eyes would wind up tucked safely in his nest. At least he had the decency not to hoard. Jackdawflight would only keep so many trinkets close to him. He took a careful time for collecting when he had the chance to. At this time, it served as a wonderful distraction and put his thoughts at ease. He had decided to venture by the cliffs for any stones that peaked his interest. It was a slow, but relaxing venture for him.
» Tallflower // Camp « [ Open ]
Another morning, another day to try and forget the horrors the Clan had gone through. Tallflower took a deep breath and stepped outside of the warriors den into the openness of the camp. Another day to try and step out of her shell and be more social. Ha, like that was going to happen. She prayed to Starclan to lend her strength as she padded towards a more quiet spot of the camp and sat herself down. The speckled brown tabby then began to do some quick grooming. It was essentially part of her routine; get up, groom herself, mentally prepare herself for any social interactions, continue with her day. That being if she wasn't immediately interrupted by something. In that case she could merely give a quiet nod and carry forth with her duties. As of now, the she-cat could enjoy her brief moment of solitude. Her yellow-green eyes would occasionally watch the activity of the camp around her.

skunkpaw
Skunkpaw was never the type of cat to wake up early, and this morning was no different. The black-and-white tom sat in his nest, watching as the other apprentices woke up and headed to their morning duties. He supposed he had those too. Rolling up into a ball, he let out a sigh and buried himself deeper into his nest. If he was needed, someone would find him. Closing his eyes, his thoughts wandered as her slowly drifted off to sleep.
When he woke up, the first thing he noticed was how empty the apprentice den was. Apprentice-less nests surrounded him, and peeking out of the bushes, he saw the sun steadily making it's way across the sky. With a groan, he rose to his feet, stumbling outside. He stopped to try and groom his messy fur, when he saw his mentor, Cloudweaver up on his feet. Is he looking for me? He wondered, looking hungrily at the fresh-kill pile before focusing back on his mentor With a huff, he turned away from the food, waddling over to his mentor. He was pretty sure Cloudweaver was used to his laziness by now- the older tom had once had to physically drag Skunkpaw out of his nest once to take him on the dawn patrol- but now with the flooding, he felt like his defenses wouldn't be as weak as they usually were. All he'd have to say was "I couldn't fall asleep because I was worried about more storms" and he'd probably get pity.
Shaking his head, he called out, "Cloudweaver. did you need me?" It was curt, and perhaps a bit bitter, but the apprentice usually had a touch of bitterness in everything he said.

On the brink of going in search of his apprentice himself, the snowy coated tom was saved the bother when he spotted the young tom approaching, looking distinctly exhausted, thought that was hardly surprising given recent events. However, there wasn’t much opportunity to pity the younger tom, nearly the entire clan were in a similar position, and unfortunately the tragedy of recent events didn’t detract from the need to hunt for and protect the clan. Cloudweaver was merely grateful for the fact the apprentice had retreated from the warmth of his nest in his own accord for once. Nodding his head in greeting of the apprentice once he had settled himself in their midst, the warrior flicked his tail from side to side. Itching to get out of camp and make himself useful, life had made him feel particularly merciless of recent, so the chance to work for his clanmates was something he looked forward. Shifting restlessly, the only sign of discomfort being in his own home that the warrior allowed himself to show, otherwise his tone was neutral and firm, his stance confident and gaze determined. “Indeed,” he responded firmly. “You and I are to accompany Echoriver and Brightpaw for a training session,” he explained as much as he had been told. Admittedly he had been so willing to get out of camp, he now realised he wasn’t fully aware of what the intentions of the day were to be.
