I WANT TO GO TO YOSEMITE!
Top ten, ok, here we go; 1. New York 2. St. Louis (specifically the City Museum) 3. Jasper, up in Canada 4. Italy 5. Austria 6. St. Petersburg 7. Croatia 8. New Zealand 9. Thailand 10. Yellowstone National Park
Although I'm desperate to go back to California, so that's on tope of the list. I'm also really excited because Contiki (the tour company I've travelled with before) have added an in-depth Cali tour that includes LA, San Diego, Vegas, San Francisco and just about every national part in between them, so that's on the list. They've also started ranging further north into Wyoming, which is exciting. I want to go back to Jackson Hole.
Your top ten?
Also as of today, I am an officially licensed archer once again! Which is exciting!

Kings Canyon is that one national park which is stunning, but gets overshadowed by Yosemite, so it's not as crowded. Must see as well. (Plus, it's back to back with another National Park. You get a two-for-one.)
Top ten, gotcha ...:
1. Greece 2. Hawaii 3. Yellowstone (one of the few National Parks I haven't been to) 4. Lassen National Park (again) 5. I saw a tour of Iceland and now I really wanna go. 6. Somewhere in Germany - this is far more than 1, but I want to go so many places there. 7. Australia (I know far too many people there not to come.) 8. Britain. Somewhere in Britain. Still don't know where. 9. Ireland. Still don't know where. 10. Everywhere else.

Yessssssss, come to Australia! I can show you around my urban jungle. November’s always a good time to come - it’s not summer yet, so you’ll escape the worst of the heat, but it’s defintily warm enough for outside activities.
I wish ‘everywhere’ was an acceptable answer to that question XD

Yes. I would love to put 'everywhere' on my bucket list and then someone give me enough money to travel there. Someone brought up Stonehenge today and my brain just went 'go there, go there, go there'. But yeeee. I need to see your urban jungle. Right now it's hard to image a heat worse than what I'm in, but something tells me Australia can prove me wrong.

This week, I seriously considered dropping out of school to become a Contiki tour guide - their Europe team is hiring, and god, what a life. Just road tripping through Europe. That would be a pretty incredible way to live for a year or two.
Heat in Australia is like being punched in the face. In January, it’s hard to breathe because it’s so humid - moreso in other cities (Melbourne is awful mid-January, I went down there for a few days two years ago and it did not get below 40 degrees Celsius) - but its pretty sticky here. Avoid Australia midsummer.

That is a life that sounds reeeeeeally fun. o.o I say even though I have a small fear that my desire to stick it through school and get a job means I'll be stuck in this town all my life. I've vowed that I will at least move to the mountains. Somewhere that isn't here. It isn't like I don't like the people here, but the air quality is ... horrible ... and other problems. I'd like to have a home base, but I'd like to have the freedom to go around different places. My parents went a step further and want to travel in a trailer all over. I'm not to there, but I do want to be like my grandmother. Who travels all over the place but has a steady roof to come back to.
40 degrees Celsius is what it's here every day right about now. Up to 43-44 Celsius when it gets really bad. But it's dry heat, so not much humidity. I lived with humidity for two years and icccccccck.

Seems like you’d be pretty used to it, then XD

Well, I'm used to it being that high in temperature, but not high in humidity. And I'm used to the humidity, but not it being that hot.
It have yet to experience both at once. XD
How are you? I'm playing with history.

Wow. I love this opening. Dropping us right into it. And not gonna lie, the first few paragraphs/sentences made me a little teary eyed. xD I am already pretty invested in what Shoretail will find and what mysteries she will uncover. I'm also very interested in the flashbacks. I have a feeling there will be more clues in them than we think... Amazing job, Dingo. I love this so far!

That’s what I’m going for! I want the audience to grieve a little bit, to mourn Shoretail’s loss. There will definitely be more clues in the flashbacks! They’ll give us an insight into Shoretail’s relationship with Brightsun, and we’ll learn a little bit more about what Brightsun was actually like. You know me - I’m always keen to write about apprentices getting up to mischief! Im really glad you’re liking it!

Yes, it's here!! Love the first chapter - you're so darn good at making me care about Shoretail and Brightsun even in the first few paragraphs. And wow, you're not wasting any time with the mystery, either. I can't wait to find out more!

It’s cool, Mint! I know you’re very busy, I know your work’s important. Hmmm, I suppose I can give you those facts now
1. The Clan’s camp is a real place! It is based upon a truly huge sand dune at the far end of this particular piece. It’s an excellent spot for hide and seek, as the thick scrub that surrounds it is riddled with narrow passages and hiding places, making it a logical choice for the Clan’s camp.
2. Brightsun is a purebred Egyptian Mau, and possesses the rare copper colouring. Only a mau can claim leadership of the Clan, as they believe themselves to be direct descendants of the goddess Bast. On that note, Brightsun is the last ‘pure’ mau. Jackalcry is a mau x smoke tabby.
3. I mentioned before that the Royal Family take their names from Egyptian deities - and each of those deities reflects something about the characters. Brightsun is named after Ra, the sun god, who ruled over the gods before his demise. Jackalcry is named after Anubis, god of the mummification and guardian of the dead (after the death of his mate and most of his kits, it seemed appropriate) and Falconpaw is named after Horus - prophesied ruler, child of one dead parent, and the god of war. Make of that what you will.
4. Jacaranda is named after one of my favourite type of trees.

And on a (mostly) unrelated note, does anyone still wonder about ‘Return to Dust’?YES. Of Course! Then I suppose you'll be interested to hear what I've been doing with it.
I abandoned the fanfiction because I'm turning it into an actual novel, with actual people. The draft is a whopping 348 (a4) pages long, and clocks in at well over a hundred thousand words. I had the draft printed and bound a few weeks ago in preparation for very intense editing, and it sits on my desk and stares accusingly at me because there are things I need to write in it but I haven't yet. I like to pick it up and carry it around, because I wrote that. I did that. I still can't believe it, sometimes.
Some of the characters are pretty much the same - human!Storm is actually a disaster, and is best described as a street-smart idiot (I love him so much) - and some of them are very different. A couple of them are brand new. I'm so excited to keep bringing this story to life, but I don't talk about it online much, and I'm very vague when I do, because I really want to publish it one day.
