Isn't holly deathberries in warrior cats? if so, what were they thinking when making the name Hollyleaf? Hollies are poisonous little berries in real life and maybe in the warrior cat world, so was Hollyleaf intended to have an "evil" name?

No, deathberries are yew
Also there are plenty of cats named after things that can kill them, such as Foxleap and Lilyheart

While holly is poisonous to cats, holly and deathberries are completely different plants.
Also, it's not uncommon for cats to name their kits after things that are considered deadly. For example, Fox, Badger, Lily, Ivy, Apple, and several other common prefixes are dangerous for cats. That doesn't make them evil though. They just like how the name sounds.
Same goes for Hollyleaf. Her name was originally going to be Crowkit, but Squirrelflight named her Hollykit after her green eyes. And the leaf suffix after Leafpool.

Cats have been named after dangerous things before, though. Just look at how many are named after different animals, like lions and tigers (but sadly no bears. Oh, my! XD)

It always bothered me how the Erins make kittens open their eyes literally seconds after being born. Real kittens don't open their eyes until they're about a week or two old, and for the first several weeks all kittens have blue eyes. It isn't until they're about eight weeks that they changed to their permanent color. Whenever I read the scenes where the newborn kits are already walking and having their eyes open and everything, it drives me crazy.

Actually, Squirrelflight named Hollyleaf because her fur was as dark as holly bark. It was Jayfeather who was named after his eyes as a kit.

Wolves apparently live somewhere near Warriorland, since their howling was heard in Eclipse. really? i do not remember that at all... It's in the beginning of the book. When the Clan cats are about to leave Stormfur and Brook Brook mentions them howling, but Stormfur reassures her that the wolves are too large for the mountain paths on which they travel. Jaypaw also scents them a bit afterwards and notes that the scent is raw with blood and flesh, unlike dogs.

She was named after being the "color of holly bark." Holly berries aren't very poisonous at all though. Being named Crowkit was too obvious.
