FurycallWith Burningstar, Finchpaw, and Darkeye. By Border. PudgeCat Lycaonia Furycall scented the fox before he saw it, immediately knocking into Finchpaw's side and sending him rolling, just as the beast burst through the bushes that the apprentice had been standing by mere moments before. Rearing up on his back legs the tom let out a caterwaul and swiped at the fox, catching it across the muzzle and continuing to strike out with his front paws steadily, keeping the fox from gaining it's bearings. When Burningstar came the tom jumped back, giving his back legs a rest as he circled the fox, darting in now and then to swipe at its sides.

GingerrootWith Howlshade, Tigerlilykit, and Dandelionkit. In Nursery. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ The she-cat immediately cut off her son, blocking his way with her tail and then scooping the small kit toward her with one of her paws. "No you don't, Duskfern said to stay out of there. Anyways, no one is hurting Shadowblossom, it's just... you're new denmates decided today was the time they were going to enter the world. Now go finish eating and be good like your brother is." She motioned to Tigerlilykit who was still laying down eating his minnow, his ears pinned back because of the sounds coming from the nursery, but himself staying put.

I see that Blackeye is the mentor of Featherpaw. That should be interesting.
Hailpaw ; Pale mist blue eyes slowly peeked open. The apprentice's den was empty, everyone must have gone out on patrols or training. Hailpaw felt a subtle pang of disappointment. Why did no one wake her? Raising to a lopsided sitting position, she started to slowly groom out her fur on her chest, taking her small tabby paw over her ears and down her face. Hopefully someone would be still in camp to do things with her. The little female had a thought, what if she just went out herself? She could hunt! And then she would be back once the patrols did and they could perhaps do training. Her paws tingled, Burningstar would be proud if she hunted for the clan surely.
With a small squeak, Hailpaw hopped from the den and glanced around. There seem to be commotion, the nursery was filled with voices and noises. Was someone hurt? She knew the kits in the nursery with their mother Gingerroot and the pregnant queen Shadowblossom. It would be awful if someone got sick. Her paws itched with indecision. Leaving the camp now to hunt, whatever happened they would need prey right? Hailpaw stalked slowly closer to the camp's entrance, eyes never leaving the overfilled nursery.

CascadeClan Camp, Blackeye, Furycall, Finchpaw, PudgeCat . Jekyll Lycaonia BurningstarDescending onto the battlefield with all the fury of starclan, his paws hurtling him across the foliage as though it were a mere mouselength high. He skidded to a stop, the battle already underway as he tried to find a spot to throw himself into. Grateful for the quick thinking of his deputy, watching his son tumble out of the way of the battlefield, Burningstar concentrated instead on making the fox regret the day it was born for daring to trespass on CascadeClan territory. Lunging with little hesitation, his claws raked through the beast's side, warm blood spurting against his paws - the reward of his furious efforts. Dodging backwards, avoiding furious rebuttal aimed for his vulnerable throat by the skin of his teeth. The russet warrior sparred angrily with the animal, only half conscious of the actions of his clanmates around him. Though keeping at least one eye on his son at all times, Knowing if anything, Rainwillow would use his pelt to line their nest if he failed to protect their eldest son. CascadeClan Camp, Gingerroot and Tigerlilykit, Jekyll Dandelionkit The black kitten regarded his mother as though she had sprouted a set of particularly fine antlers. Though he knew nothing of the battlefield or even true pain yet, Dandelionkit doubted that was a sound a cat made for fun. His stub of a tail fled between his legs as a further cry tore across the camp, and he hid himself in his mother's chest, eliciting a low growl that sounded about as threatening as a pillow fight. "I don't like it," he squeaked, ears pinned to his head to block out the sound as best as he could. Ignoring his mothers request that he finish breakfast, the sound having stolen all concept of hunger from his mind. Making the decision he already disliked his denmates if this was the kind of trauma they made the very sweet Shadowblossom when as they joined the clan. It was then that a horrific thought entered his mind, looking to his mother with eyes the size of the full moon. "Did you make sounds like that when we came to the clan?" He questioned, not entirely sure he wanted to know the answer, but his damned curiosity got the best of him.

DuskfernDuskfern chuckled fondly, glancing at the kit. "Oh, he's small now," She huffed in amusement, "But trust me, they grow quick enough. Your little one is about normal for a kit, and you'll know what small is if you have a runt in your litter." Duskfern busied herself tidying up a bit from the first kit. She watched from the corner of her eye as Shadowblossom got more distressed, obviously in pain. The Medicine Cat furrowed her brow. She wished she could give the Queen some Poppy Seed, but the herb was dangerous to the unborn kits, as Shadowblossom could become too sleepy to push, risking the tiny lives inside of her. She nosed the Comfrey Root in her bundle instead, running scenarios in her head. Too many herbs could cause any bleeding to become worse, but four was the maximum her mentor had taught her. It was after that it became dangerous.
Sighing, Duskfern quickly separated a good sized piece of root and began chewing it into a pulp. She dropped the chewed root onto a leaf, returning with it to Shadowblossom's side. "Alright, this is the last thing we can try to get that pain under control," She meowed cautiously, quickly making sure Shadowblossom's movements weren't endangering the kit by her side, "Eat this, it's a bit stronger than what I've given you before, but it shouldn't make you sleepy." Nosing the pulp closer, Duskfern returned to her spot near the Queen's flank, grimacing at the heaving sides. She was worry the kit was coming the wrong way, or was far bigger than the others.
The she-cat sighed, rubbing a paw over her face. She was grateful for the interruption Stagleap's return caused and she smiled tiredly at the Warrior. "No, thank you Stagleap," She replied, moving the moss towards Shadowblossom so she could drink if she needed to, "And thank you for the water. Though, thinking of it, if you'd like to go get a little something fresh for Shadowblossom to eat when she'd done, I wouldn't complain."Finchpaw Finchpaw had been almost bounding along, thrilled with the Deputy's approval. Even ambivalent as it was, Finchpaw thought even a 'that'll do' was high praise from Furycall. The sound of his father's call, on the other paw, froze him in place, eyes wide and worried. He didn't even see the Deputy coming, before he was tumbling over, the world flipping around his as he rolled into a bush. Shaking his head, the Apprentice shot to his feet, fear in his face as he saw the fox's form. For a minute he stood there, quaking with terror as the Warriors tore into the beast.
It was the flash of his father's fur that finally snapped him out of it. Finchpaw's ear went back as his fur bristled with indignation. But still, he waited, not wanting to throw himself in and get in the way of one of the older, more experienced fighters. Instead, he waited for an opportunity, heart thudding almost painfully in his chest. 'Wait, wait, there!' Flinging himself forward, Finchpaw latched onto one of the back legs of the beast, digging in his claws. His head reared back slightly, before darting forward and burying needle-sharp teeth into the meat of the thing's thigh. He held onto with everything he had as his world bucked and rolled, but hot, stinking breath and red in the corner of his eye made him let go and he was flung away as the fox twisted and kicked. He landed relatively safely, but was a touch winded as he squirmed around, lungs heaving for air, to keep an eye on the battle.

CascadeClan Camp, Duskfern, Lycaonia .Shadowblossom Struggling to imagine anything smaller than the tiny creature curled against her flank, the young queen was adorably naive to an extent, young to become a mother; perhaps the source of her difficulties though now was not a time to wonder about that. She touched her nose to the little one's flank, a weak purr rumbling from her. "He will grow to be a fine warrior," she conceded without doubt to her tone. But Shadowblossom was weakening noticably, the energy seeping from her to the extent where even crying out from pain was a task made difficult by her exhaustion. Flashing white pearly fangs beneath her lips, frustrated by the insistence of pain but there was no malice behnd her gesture, most doubted whether the beautiful queen had a cruel bone in her slender frame. Grateful for the offering of water, she managed a quiet thankyou to the tom who had brought it to her. Lapping thirstily at the water, soothing her throat; made sore from her cries. Looking up at the medicine cat's further words, a flash of concern darkening her gaze. "If your not careful you'll use up your entire stock on just me," she said with a worried shake of her head. "I can manage with pain," she whispered softly, a cry nearly taking her words from her but she forced them out. "Use them for someone who might need them more," she insisted weakly. Never one to want to be of detriment to her clan, even in the throes of an agonising and difficult labour. She parted her lips as though to say something further, when pain ripped through her again. A scream tore from her before she managed to silence it, as a large kitten tumbled into the soft moss behind her. Shadowblossom was left panting from her efforts, struggling to force breath into her aching lungs. "StarClan help me, how many left?" Lifting her head unsteadily from her paws, she stretched around as carefully as she could to where the newborn had been deposited into the nest. Ears twitched forward, she managed a purr of greeting to her second born. "A trouble maker already, I think." She grumbled softly.

pudge, maybe featherpaw and hailpaw could do some hunting? after all, no one invited them on a patrol
as for mothshade, maybe just try roleplaying her with a few other people’s toms and just see what flows naturally? i’ve got thornblaze in case you wanted to try it out eventually and see how it goes - he’s a natural flirt and softie so it may work out

featherpaw | camp | PudgeCat
Featherpaw sat in camp, her tongue streaking over herself repeatedly as to smooth the current gray mess that was her fur. She had only assumed this position recently - waking up was a chore that the apprentice had often found difficult, and today proved to bring no difference to that mindset. Some 'woke with the sun', though that simply was not her. At the time of her awakening, she had gotten up to the news of patrols having already gone out - her mentor being one of those sent. She had sat down with a sigh, and jumped at the start of noises coming from where she assumed to be the nursery. It sounds far too painful for it to just be Dandelionkit giving some cat a playful nip, she thought, looking back towards the large thicket. She knew that Shadowblossom was nearly due, and realization hit her like a nut falling from a tree - there would be new kits in CascadeClan within a small period of time.
The gray she-cat's eyes moved towards the entrance of camp, where a silver figure was moving. "Hailpaw!" she called, getting to her paws. The sight of her fellow apprentice was a welcome one, and Featherpaw made sure to fasten her pace as to get to her before she ultimately left camp. Upon reaching her, the she-cat opened her mouth to speak. "Where are you going? Can I come?" She shut her mouth quickly, though; the two were far from best friends, and a mere acquaintance asking to come without an invitation might've been the exact opposite of what Hailpaw wanted this morning. "But, don't feel like you have to say yes. I can do something on my own." Again, regret flooded the she-cat only after the words left her mouth. She took a deep breath, though she realized that she wasn't engraving too good of an impression into the other apprentice's mind. "Let me rephrase. Do you want to go hunting?"

Blackeye ; The black warrior watched as Furycall and Burningstar lunged themselves at the dangerous animal. She felt a surge of pride for her clan. They were strong, powerful. Starclan had brought them together and nothing would take them apart. With agile paws, Blackeye was able to slip behind the attacking fox and cats. Finchpaw was at a safer distance and she wouldn't let herself worry over his life. The flank of the fox exposed, she threw herself fearlessly.
Her claws dug deep into the flesh, letting gravity and the wild creature pull herself further down and her claws pulling at the fur. Blackeye let out a spitting howl, all of the curses she knew, she let out on this fox. Battle, fighting, it was what drove her. To protect her clan, her friends and family. The rush of a fight was a high she couldn't deny.
The busy orange tail swayed and slapped her. Blackeye let the cold fury in her stomach burn deeper as the tail swayed back towards her. With a powerful bite, she clamped down on the base of the tail and kicked out with her back legs.
Hailpaw ; Her paws froze as someone called her name. Oh, she hoped someone didn't see her sneaking out! Worry heated under her fur, the light gray female bounding over. It was Featherpaw, another apprentice with a similar coat to Hailpaw. The worry vanished quickly and her eyes sparkled as the her denmate spoke out in a rushed voice. Hailpaw didn't know much about Featherpaw, she seemed like a good cat and had a fun sense of energy. Even being around her now, Hailpaw felt her paws tingle with excitement. Her whiskers twitched, amused by Featherpaw's long and stuttering question.
Hunting would be easier with two. They could even fill the fresh kill if they were fast enough! Hailpaw gave a soft nod, her tail flicking and motioning for Featherpaw to follow. Glancing back at the nursery, no other cat seemed to notice anything else. Soft, careful paws, Hailpaw stalked herself out of the entrance while sticking close to the sides of the camp. They could go to the Boulder Meadow, maybe but it wouldn't be the best for hunting. Hailpaw glanced behind her shoulder, hoping Featherpaw was following her still. The Hollow Lake was a gorgeous place, they could fish and even spot some of the other animals that share the water.

Duskfern"Don't be mouse-brained," Duskfern huffed gently, padding around to the arriving kit, "The pulp's already been made anyway, I'll have to throw it away if you don't use it. Besides, you're bringing new life into the Clan, Shadowblossom. I'd exhaust my stocks in a heartbeat and Blazingstar wouldn't bat an eye at it either." Shaking her head, Duskfern leaned down, nipping the sack of the large kit and beginning to encourage it to take it's first breaths.
"A troublemaker indeed," She grinned in amusement as the kit immediately began squeaking in protest at it's arrival into this new world. Picking the cleaned kit up, she moved it to join it's sibling at Shadowblossom's belly. "Well, here's your second," Duskfern purred fondly at the squirming bundle, "A pretty little she-kit. Well, relatively little." She snorted, seeing the bigger she-kit against her smaller brother. "And, from what I felt you should only have one more. It's not always an exact thing though, so there's a small possibility for a fourth, though it's not likely."

CascadeClan Camp, Duskfern, Lycaonia .Shadowblossom Uncertainty darkened her gaze, trying to sense whether the medicine cat was lying simply to be kind to the labouring Queen, twitching her ears forward, she nosed quietly through the herbs, before lapping them up quietly, the taste she had cringed at before still stinging her tongue but she managed to hide the distaste from her face, grateful for the medicine cat’s allowance of her using them. “You’re too kind to me, Duskfern,” she chuckled weakly, running her nose across her newest kittens form. Rasping a tongue through her fur, nudging her close; taking a moment from the throes of her pain to attempt to soothe her crying newborn. “I’ve seen the battlefield, this should be nothing.” But her humour was staled by pain, every word becoming weaker as it slipped from her lips, exhaustion bordering on dangerous for the Queen and the unborn kitten. “Hmm,” she whispered weakly, eyes half closed as she tired to keep herself awake despite every sense tugging the darkness into her vision. “She didn’t feel very small,” her head fell away from her kittens. Grimacing as pain shot through her again, exhaustion stealing her capacity to cry out any further, despite the pain working through her. With an almighty heaven the third and final kitten tumbled into the nest, tiny as a mouse against the greens of the nest, the Queen didn’t move to greet her newborn as she had the first couple of times. Head slumping to the nest, unmoving and bordering on the unconscious.
