Mercurius nodded a little. "It is preferred that a Warmaster have a court of his or her own elements."
Fatid nodded at that as he said "You could. I'm sure it would be good to know how." It could come in handy one day.

Necromancer nodded, “you’re the first we’ve seen of my element. So I’d like to recruit you.” He stated.
The monsters looked to each other before nodding. “It would be an honor.” One said with a small smile.

Mercurius smiled at them. "Great. We've got others spreading the word about the rallying though, because things need to move quickly soon. Have you two been living here, or are you from somewhere else?" Maybe they'd traveled, fought in other arenas.

“We were born and raised here.” Said one of the monsters, “but we’ve traveled a lot. Why?” He asked curiously.
Criss looked determined now. “I’ll talk to him after his act. Then we should go see where Colby and that cub is. Then later we can have some alone time to relax after everything. I’ll be needing it.” she said with a small sigh.

Mercurius shrugged. "Just asking. Some monsters don't have the experience of traveling, but if any recruits didn't then they'd get some now!" He smiled in amusement. "We're still traveling though of course, to make sure others know that Necromancer is preparing to gather an army. Also looking tips on possible recruitment places."
Fatid smiled a little. "Busy day today, it seems, but not in a bad way." Hopefully Colby and the cub weren't too hyper or something.

“Well have you guys already searched the bigger cities for recruits? You’ll probably have the most luck there even if there aren’t many dark elementals..“ the other monster said.
“Yes, very. I have a feeling thing won’t wind down much soon either.” Crissandre said with a small huff, “oh well, at this point I’m used to it.”

Mercurius nodded. "Crystalline would be ideal, but there's probably spies there, since Ragnarok literally just poofed into view and declared war. He might have spies or something running around."
Fatid hummed. "I'm sure the two will be fine. And it isn't for long, just until tonight, I assume. Then we take them back the parents. At least it isn't a slow day. There's plenty to do." He then looked as the owl finished his act, the spectators clapping.

“We should be very wary.” Necromancer said with a nod, “even here. But especially in bigger cities, which is why I’ve been holding off on making a trip there.” He explained. The two monsters nodded slowly.
“Thats true. Plus I like working with kids. Hence why I want to have my own someday.” Criss said.

Mercurius smiled sheepishly. "It's a little difficult recruiting dark monsters, but we've got a group going. What about you two though? What powers do you have? Assuming you have some, being amongst other fighters and all."
Fatid smiled a little. "Well, you'll get some more practice today with Colby and the cub." And maybe it would be practice for Fatid as well.

The two looked to each other before saying, "why dont you two watch us spar against another team of two? Then you'll see us in action and get an even better sense." He said, looking hopeful. He wanted to be able to show off for a warmaster.
"Yeah maybe. I already saw a few things we can take them to go see here." Criss said happily.

Mercurius looked curiously between them. "That would be good, so you can show off your skills." And so Necromancer could see what he was recruiting.
Fatid grunted. "This will be the most time I've spent with kids ever." Mostly because kids ran away from him. Maybe now that he looked somewhat normal, things would be better?

The monsters nodded, glancing to each other. “We’re going out soon. Just after this match finishes.” One said. Necromancer nodded, “we’ll stick around.”
“Well now look at you. You had a major glow up so I’m sure they won’t be afraid of you now.” Criss said, “Though I don’t understand why they would be afraid of you. Then again I didn’t know you when you were basically wild.”

Mercurius smiled and said "Great, we look forward to seeing you."
Fatid shrugged. "For a long time, I've mainly been some mutant creature in the woods. Just that knowledge already gives me a bad rep, and when others see me they usually got spooked, though I don't get why they were in a swamp in the first place."

The monsters nodded before excusing themselves to get set up to go out to the sparing grounds.
“Well. This is the new you.” Criss said simply, “and I personally really like this new you. So how can other people not like you now?” She said, smiling to him.

Mercurius then looked back to Necromancer. "Hopefully they deliver. You're doing good in finding dark monsters."
Fatid smiled softly at Criss. He then hesitated before saying "Uhm... maybe after we get the kids back home... we can call that time we planned to spend together... a date?" Though honestly, what they were doing now could already count in a way.

“I have a feeling they will.” Necromancer said. “Come, let’s try and keep looking while we wait.” He said, beginning to walk again.
Criss blinked. She though he didn’t like her in that way. She then blushed, smiling and nodding, “y-yeah. A date it is.”

Mercurius nodded before following after him. "After we see them fight, maybe we can see about finding the others and see how they've been doing."
Fatid nodded once, still slightly unsure about this. Maybe if he actually gave the idea a chance, it would work out.

“Sounds good. I also want to pick up a few more monsters before we leave. This is a good place to get fighters. Obviously.” Necromancer said as he looked around.
Criss smiled to him before looking back to the mini show with interest.

The owl eventually finished, taking a bow as the others clapped and cheered for the show.

“It is. Most likely because it is a bigger city. Therefore more popular for travelers.” Necromancer said, “it’s a lovely place really. When we aren’t on the brink of war we should visit here again.”
Criss waited for the crowd to disperse before greeting the man, asking him if he had a moment to talk.

Mercurius smiled at that. He noticed a lot of humans had been around the city as well and he said "I wasn't around when they were plentiful, but I don't get why humans are disliked by so many. And if we don't take a stand, their freedom will be gone by the end of this war."
The owl smiled at the pair, saying "Ah, yes! What an honor it is to meet a battle mage in person! What can I do for you?"

Necromancer scoffed at the mention, rolling his eyes a little. He then glanced to Mercurius and saw his serious expression and sighed, “if it’s what you wish I will try to help prevent that. But I’m not sure if I’ll be able to...”
Criss smiled, “I was watching your performance. You can do some very cool stuff. I was wondering if you ever had the time if you would ever be able to teach me some of your powers and tricks.”

Mercurius shrugged. "I'm saying you need to, I mean just monsters in general. I mean, we're screwed if Ragnarok wins anyway, but humans will be in a worse position."
The owl blinked his large eyes once before saying "Oh, really? I'd be delighted to show you what I know. Most don't appreciate the art of magic users, as I'm sure you're aware." Well, she was one of the few monsters that got recognition actually.

“They’ll probably go back to the way they were before they got some rights.” Necromancer said simply. “If we do anything I’m not sure we’d get many followers. Humans aren’t many people’s priorities.”
“I am well aware.” Crissandre said. “And I personally admired your powers. I wish I could wow a crowd like that.” She said with a lighthearted smile.

Mercurius shrugged. "They're determined, I'll give them that. They should've died out a long time ago." He looked up at Necro. "What would you do if humans tried joining your army?" He snorted at the thought."
The owl smiled brightly at this. "Ah, I'm sure you wow them regardless with your power regardless. I'd be happy to teach you what I know."

“I would turn them down. Simple as that.” Necromancer said simply, “unless my army was already strong. If it were if just use them for traps and silly easy missions.”

Mercurius nodded slowly. "Understandable. I'd do the same as well." Most humans just wouldn't be able to do the tasks and fights that monsters could.
The owl thought for a moment. "Well, luckily you caught me while I have some down time. I won't be going anywhere for a while, my regular stops have become a little... less ideal, with goons running around and the like. Does noon work for you?"

Crissandre nodded saying, “I’ve just made it here so I don’t have much of a schedule.” She told him, “so that will work out nicely.”

Eventually the two monsters were called out to fight, and Necromancer look up from his conversation with Mercurius and little group that had subtly formed around them.
“Alright, I’ll see you then.” Crissandre said, doing a polite bow of her head. She then said another goodbye before turning back to Fatid.
