Cally looked down, she decided to just ignore the comment, drinking more of her drink. She then said just to Remiel, “just because I’m “laughable”, doesn’t mean I’m not a threat... I know how to kill, and I know a monster’s weaknesses.”

Remiel didn't even get to speak before the creature said "Well then, if you're such a threat, you should take on a little challenge then. A "job" as hunters like to call it."

Cally thought for a moment before looking up, “and what is this job you speak of?” She asked, not wanting to get in over her head for some stupid threat or challenge. She wasn’t desperate enough to jump at any job.

The creature, a Rabbidex (god these names are shit xD), sniffed and said "Well, there's apparently a nice reward for the one who catches a thief, who's hoarding everything in a cave about half a day north. No one's seen the thief yet though."

Cally thought for a moment before saying, “I’ll have to think about it. I have someone I’m traveling with that I’d have to consult.” She said, talking about Fatid. “If you’re so full of your kind why don’t you go find him your self?” She asked.

The rabbit scoffed. "I'm not a hunter. It's not my job. You hunt things, there's something that needs hunting." He then sniffed. "Unless you're just looking for excuses to chicken out." Remiel arched a brow at the rabbit, but said nothing and only looked toward Cally.

“I’m not chickening out.” Cally said simply, “I just need to think about it. I may look naive but I’m not.” She said, “I’m not just going to jump at any offer to prove myself. I will have plenty of chances to do that.”

Remiel shrugged. "Well, the problem is that it's only their brains that have kept them around. Humans are usually smaller, thinner, weaker and have no powers whatsoever. By definition, whether you like it or not, you are inferior. And many monsters have taken advantage of that over the generations. There are monsters who like humans, but there's ten times more who don't."

Cally sighed, “I still don’t like to be treated with way. Especially being a female human, monsters don’t normally have the best intentions for me.. the only monster who didn’t like humans at first but gave me a chance is Fatid.. and look where we are now. Monsters need to learn that we aren’t all that bad even if we are inferior.” She said. “Monsters like rare things my a*s.” She said softly, referring to what Fatid said to her earlier.

Remiel arched a brow. "You can't have thought whoever said that meant it in a good way really. Humans who aren't sold to scientists or butchers are used as objects of entertainment. They like your physical attributes. Has nothing to do with you as a person."

“You don’t think I know that it’s not a good thing? Just today, without having been five hours in the city yet, I already got threatened by a dog to be taken away. Since I don’t have any meat on my bones really I’d probably be used by scientists or for entertainment, but since I’m female it would probably be the later of the two.”

Remiel hummed. "That's because no one really takes you seriously. Hunters with reputations are usually left alone by those sorts of people. I used to know a human hunter who even interested monsters like Gregorz and Korg. If you work hard that could be you one day."

Remiel smiled a little. "Well, what'll happen when or if he finds a mate or something? I doubt anyone wants to be a third wheel honestly." He then shrugged. "But who knows. Maybe on your travels you'll both come across someone and will all travel together." He felt a pang of jealousy at that though.

“We were talking about that actually. We just have to find the right ones. I’m determined to match him with someone, and he has to give the stamp of approval for any man or monster I come across.” She then downed another drink that she ordered, “but I think I might just go ahead and assume he’d be alright with a certain angelic like monster~”

Remiel nodded slowly as she spoke. "Well, hopefully you find him someone or he even finds someone on his own." He then smirked at Cally. "Oh? I hope he will be too." He finally finished his second drink, sighing in content. "I assume I still have to take you out for that dinner first, hm~?" He chuckled at that.

Fatid hummed. "Sure. We can go check it out after I sign up on the roster. Tournament doesn't start until two days after then." He then looked between them. "And Remiel will be joining us too?" Not that he minded or cared. The job was for Cally. The two of them would spectate for the most part unless she really needed help.
