[[ Oh gosh doing names are so much fun. Some favorites of mine are Dandelionsneeze, Ticklefeather, Acorntumble, Pineconebristle. Also Dawnwarbler and Duskraven, but I didn't put those as name suggestions for my apprentices because I think we have plenty of bird suffix named cats lmao
I'll get working on replies soon enough hopefully ^^ Also if we ever need more cats to connect family stuff just let me know :0 ]]

Stormflight xx Halfcloud The soft sunlight washed over Stormflight's light gray fur, offering barely any relief from the chill but he didn't really seem to notice. He'd left the warrior's den a while ago and had been ready to go on patrol. Then he had turned his head to ask his brother what he planned to do today and it hit him hard that he was truly gone. Nightgaze had always been an early riser, up before the dawn sometimes. He would sit outside the den until his siblings awoke and they'd share tongues before starting their day. Stormflight's throat had closed up with grief and he had reluctantly sat beside the warrior's den, to wait for Halfcloud. As time had passed, the tom had dozed back off into a fitful sleep. Now, a shadow fell upon the resting tom before a dainty paw shot out to nudge his shoulder.
"Stormflight, wake up. You fell asleep," his sister murmured, her tone bordering on annoyance. One soft green eye blinked open, then the other, followed by a large yawn. Halfcloud watched her brother wake, a bemused expression on her face. She wasn't too upset at her brother for falling asleep, more upset over the fact that he hadn't woken her up. Her brother sat up slowly, stretching out his forelegs before pushing himself upright. She rolled her eyes a bit and leaned forward to wash the dirt off the tom's shoulder.
"I can do it, Halfcloud. Calm down," he said, batting at his sister with soft paws. Halfcloud narrowed her eyes, but ceased trying to help her brother with his fur. He let out a rumbling purr of appreciation and set to work finishing what she had started. "Did you just wake up?" at his sisters nod he let out a soft sigh. He'd noticed that without their litter mate both of them had been having trouble sleeping - which resulted in them sleeping later most mornings. Stormflight shook himself, as though that would chase his dismal thoughts away. He cast a curious gaze around camp, silently wondering if there was anything he needed to be doing. Halfcloud had tucked her paws under her chest but was clearly just as eager as he was to be busy. Work meant less time to contemplate the gaping holes in their chests.
Spiderheart xx Slipping out of the elder's den as quietly as he could, his bright gaze fell upon the fresh-kill pile. The prey was still running pretty low, which brought a sigh from his graying muzzle. He didn't want to grab anything, for fear of the others in his clan not having enough to give them energy. Spiderheart longed for the strength to go hunting again, if only to help HalcyonClan in any way he could. He sat just beside the entrance to his den, shifting his paws back and forth has he deliberated. Maybe I should get Greywing and Silverbirch something? the elderly tom contemplated.
[ sorry Spider is so short, going to eat dinner, be back in 30 mins maybe? ]

[ Littledove is such a cute name! Bird suffixes are pretty cool, I just usually have a hard time pairing them with prefixes. I literally go around in circles when naming my cats, Stormflight for example, was Swiftfeather, Stormfeather, Stormgaze, and I think maybe even Sootcloud or some other nonsense. He was actually going to be Stormfeather but then I thought, well his sister has a really soft sounding suffix so I changed it to flight lol. I'm glad you like Nightgaze, it just kinda came to me for once xD I ironically had a cat named Lightpath once. Also, fun fact, Spiderheart was originally Briarpath. I went a total different direction.
Also, dinner didn't take as long as I thought, so I'm back ~ ]

Maizeflower & Weaselbranch
She flickered her tail and flashed Weaselbranch a smile, glad that she wasn't the only one who struggled with clan life at one point. She chuckled and shook her head, "Can you imagine being that old though?" her voice dropped down to a whisper, not wanting anyone to overhear and take her words the wrong way. Maizeflower wondered if she would live to 90-something moons. She could hope that she did something meaningful with her life, it might have been different for clan born cats but the kittypets she was raised with in her neighborhood always boast about having kits. Maybe that would happen for her in the 60 moons. "I am glad for that though," Maizeflower purred and then shuddered at the thought if Silverbirch was a bad mentor, this leafbare could have possibly been worst. She heard a grasshopper starting to cricket in the distance, at least some animal life was coming back to the forest. She wasn't sure if insects were edible, she wouldn't be afraid of trying it. "Do you want to go for a walk... and try to find some prey?" she meowed with a soft laugh, she really did hope that they found something to catch.

Mossystar & Raggedfinch with Russethawk Fallen Stars
Raggedfinch rolled his eyes at Russethawk's somewhat childish antics. The reddish brown tom sat down on the ground with a soft 'plop' and neatly curled his tail over his paws, "Please," he sighed, his gaze shifting between his siblings, "It's obvious I am the better one". He smirked with a playful gleam in his eyes, it was well known that Raggedfinch was more the approachable one out of the siblings. He was more easy-going and willing to joke about anything, well Mossy and Russet always tended to isolate themselves since they were kits. "How is Shypaw doing?", he asked pointedly, his green gaze flickering over towards Mossystar. He was still somewhat surprised that Mossystar picked their own brother to mentor her kit but he could see why. Shypaw was a fumbling, stuttering mess and some reason she was afraid to socialize with anyone, even if half the clan would stop by the nursery. At least she seemed to be doing better as she matured.
Mossystar felt her heart soar for a brief moment, she enjoyed being with her siblings. Raggedfinch and Russethawk were endlessly amusement for her. A soft quiet purr continued to emit from her chest as she listened to the two brothers banter. "Russethawk is superior," she interjected with a cheeky grin, enjoying Raggedfinch fake gasp of "How?". She gently flickered at Russethawk's shoulder with her tail, "I am sure Shypaw is doing fine," she mused, not oblivious to the fact that Raggedfinch was trying to distract her with her kits.

Mousewhisker sat in the shadows. Thinking about his past. He was all alone now. His beloved sister brightflower gone, his brother the cause of that. He scowled, his brother was a heartless cat, but he still couldnβt help but miss him. He remembered his kithood, playing around with no care in the world. He purred his lips and looked around. His apprentice better not be up to some trouble. Sighing the gray Tom cat stood up and padded into the clearing, his eyes narrowed as he was in one of his moods. The small cat pushed his feelings down, he didnβt want to ruin the good moods that were in the clan, after such a miserable leafbare.
Shadesong looked around for something to do. She started to pad towards the apprentice den. Thatβs what sheβll do, sheβll go train mallowpaw. Halfway there she stopped, suddenly remembering what happened. Crestfallen she sighed and turned around, her tail swishing softly as she pushed her grief down, she felt as if she failed her apprentice, and her family. Shadesong started to pad out of camp, putting a smile on as she decided sheβd try find some prey, even though she knew it was probably impossible to catch prey. Her eyes were determined and she was on a mission. To get some food.
Shadowfur was in. The warriors den sleeping, his tail twitching as he dreamed of catching a mouse and saving the clan from greencough. He padded around the forest and caught a juicy scent of mice. He looked around. He spotted it. Shadowfur padded forward and with one swift bat of his paw he uncovered a nest of mice and killed all of them quickly. Padding back to camp, his chest puffed up triumphantly. As he walked into camp he soon fed the whole clan and cured the greencough. He licked his lips and bit into the juicy meat. Only to feel nothing, nothing but dust. He woke up and looked around, dens still smelling of the cold air. He realized how hungry he was as his stomach growled. Sighing he remembered it was only a dream and the clan was still hungry.

Stormflight xx The tom lifted a light gray paw to his muzzle, washing it slowly, his green gaze locked on some distant place. He was so lost in his own thoughts, which was rather unusual for the normally energetic tom, that he didn't even notice that his sister had disappeared from his side. Most likely to go find her apprentice. A dark tabby pelt flashed in his peripheral vision, dragging him back to the present. Stormflight watched as Shadesong padded towards the apprentice's den before abruptly stopping. Sympathy softened his face before he heaved himself to his paws. He hadn't been the only one to lose loved ones to the sickness. So many had perished this past leaf-bare and they all were still recovering. Shadesong headed for the entrance and he quickly rushed after her, wanting to offer some company or assistance. "Are you going hunting, Shadesong? Mind if I join you?" Stormflight asked, falling into step beside the she-cat. He hoped he wasn't over stepping, but he hated seeing a clan-mate so down. Though, now he noted the determination in her eyes and he couldn't resist the smile that edged across his maw.
Acornpaw xx Wriggling her rump, the tabby apprentice eyed the tree directly in front of her. She let out a agitated huff at the way it's branches danced in the breeze, every bone in her body told her that it was making fun of her somehow. Taunting her with it's size and slick bark. "You think you're so tough tree? I will climb you and there's nothing you can do about it!" she teased the obstacle before her. Puffing out her small chest, the golden brown furred apprentice tensed her hind legs in preparation to jump. After a quick breath, Acronpaw launched herself at the tree, latching on with her fore-claws desperately. She slid down precariously for a moment before her claws snagged and she stopped her descent. "This isn't so bad," she whispered to herself, using her hind-legs to help keep up her weight. Her greenish gray eyes locked on the closest branch, a few cat-lengths from her position. Eagerly, she pushed herself up the tree, often scrabbling with her hind legs to find purchase against the tricky adversary. Her heart raced as she grew closer and closer to the branch. In her haste, she forgot to watch where her paws were going and one of her fore-paws landed in a trickle of sap. Her paw slid right through the sticky substance, causing her to lose her balance. "Please, StarClan, no!" For a precarious moment, she tried to latch onto the tree but ended up falling back to the ground. She landed heavily on her side and all her breath left her in a loud 'oof''. Once she was able to gather her bearings, she glared at the tree for all she was worth. "Y-You! ... You... You don't even have leaves, so hah!" Acronpaw hissed, stamping her small paws into the ground beneath her.
Spiderheart xx Spiderheart was still debating whether he should grab some prey for his den-mates or not. He knew how stubborn both of them could be about eating before others, particularly in this time of little food. His claws worked into the ground before he simply turned and walked back into the elder's den. He'd have to see what Silverbirch and Greywing thought of their predicament. When his bright gaze found his mate, a purr rumbled in his throat. They were both getting up there in years but he still felt the deep connection of new love. He seemed to remember chasing her about, trying to gain her attention. The wait had been well worth it. Spiderheart's thoughts inevitably drifted to their kits, particularly their eldest, Nightgaze. Sadness fell like a stone into his belly at the memory of their son. He had fought till the end but hadn't been able to recover. Nightgaze had always been such a serious tom, even as a kit. He'd been a dedicated warrior and now, in the blink of an eye, he was gone. Parents should never have to bury their children and it wasn't something the mostly black furred elder was eager to relive. "Greywing? Are you awake?" he asked quietly, careful to keep his tone light. He didn't want to show how deeply he was still hurting, he wanted to be strong for his remaining family. He'd always been a bit proud. Spiderheart settled next to his mate in the nest that they shared, curling his tail over her back, and pressing gently against her side. His joints popped a bit as he settled and annoyance briefly crossed his face. "Not getting any younger," he admitted to himself, trying to ignore the slight pain in his legs and shoulders. This stiff ache came with the territory when you were getting up there in moons. He was more than used to it by now.

[ I am going to try out this RP profile. ]
Maizeflower laughed as she pushed herself to her paws. "I don't know if I can make it that long," she meowed after some thought, it wasn't like she didn't want to make it to the elder's den but life was hard, as everyone had just experienced this past leafbare. She hoped she could make it to that age. "That sounds nice though," she purred, thinking about Weaselbranch surrounded by kits viving for his attention, "Hopefully you will have some funny stories for them too," she smiled. Kits always seemed to want to hear the stories about great things but it was just as important to share with them about the simple and fun times, like trying to catch a fish and misjudging your posture then falling into the river. "I am sure it will be," Maizeflower sighed, swishing her tail as they padded deeper into the forest, "I really hope we can find at mouse for us each to catch," she professed, her tail twitching betraying her worry.
