Who are the characters that you get really excited about and just want to protect and cherish them for no discernible reason, just because your heart tells you you have to?
Mine are Lionheart and Crookedstar. They're both such sweethearts that I love and always want to give them hugs. Also Kestrelflight to a lesser extent.

Hollyleaf, when people say that she overreacted for telling the secret (I do think she went a bit too far for killing Ashfur, though)
Dovewing, she's constantly called selfish, a bad sister, a criminal, and so on just because she chose happiness over her kin.
Leafpool, for the same reasons as Dovewing, except people actually want her to die, which is even worse treatment than what Dovewing gets from the fandom, oof. She makes a mistake, learns from it, sticks to the code, and people still wish her punishment.
Shadowpaw, for being the son of DovexTiger, people will judge him for simply exisiting, and I'll do anything to remind fans that they've also once defended forbidden kits when cats in the books insulted them as well. It's not his fault his parents broke the code.

Off the top of my head, Thrushpelt, Tawneypelt, Ivypool, Crookedstar, Tallstar, Leafpool, Breezepelt, Lionblaze, Littlecloud, Squirrelflight, and Bramblestar. Haven't read AVOS yet but I'll probably feel protective of cats in that arc and later.

(Also, Needletail because she's probably the most morally complex character we've ever had in warriors and she doesn't deserve all the hate lol)
