Introduction Information The fog whispers around your paws as you move on, feeling put off as the world around you had been bright and sunny only mere moments ago. The fog seems to thicken the further into it you step until it's as if the mist is pulling the very oxygen from your lungs, the strength from your limbs, your very soul from your body. Finally the fog dissipates and you step out to find yourself on the edge of a beautiful forest, flowers lining the entire edge and the sun dappling the ground within, the fog behind you makes you cold and so you step deeper into the wood, growing warmer the further in and steadily getting strength back as your paws follow the pattern of the leaves, your ears listen to the whispers of the forest, and your eyes seem to play tricks on you as you watch what appears to be ghosts flit past your sight. A rustling in the bushes i your only warning before you're surrounded by a circle of cats, many of them wearing scars and some even having odd things such as feathers or moss on the fur or by their ears. One cat steps forward and clears her throat, and for some reason, you feel scared to look toward the cat. "I am Silverghost, the leader of Melinoë's Acolytes, a clan of strong and proud cats. You have arrived in our land meaning you must have passed through one of Melinoë's gifts, the fog as you might describe it. You show strength to be able to make it through. Now, we do not like trespassers and so you have only two options as of now. Join us and be given to gifts of Melinoë, or run as we track you down and end your life."
All of the cats now seem to speak as once as sound erupts from all around you, though none of their mouths move. "What will be your choice?"
This section will include history and any ceremonies or traditions that the clan has.
History: Within the times of the birth of Melinoë from Persephone by Zeus who disguised himself as Hades, when Hades found out he rendered her body, turning one half completely white and the other completely black. Melinoë managed to gain followers as her influence grew. One such follower was Kenos, a man whose name meant 'vacant', he was the most loyal follower of her as years before Hades had cursed him and taken his soul. Upon becoming her follower he begged for her to revive her soul as she was the goddess of ghosts and had such power. She did so but the act had repercussions. She could not get his soul back and so had to find the closest fit, and the soul she found was that of a cat's. Upon bonding this soul to him, he was morphed into a cat. He now was a cat but that would not stop him from returning to the mortal land. He formed a group of follower's and spread the gift of Melinoë, giving certain gifts to the others and as the group grew, the gits began to be something that the cats were born with. Upon the death of Kenos, the group found a new leader who had at one time been a part of a clan. The cat, named Darkenedsoul, was appointed leader and the group was made into a clan. Sadly, this tom wanted to forsake Melinoë and turn the clan to the greatness of Macaria, the half-sister of Melinoë. Macaria would grant a peaceful life and then greatness in the underworld upon the death of any who followed her. Melinoë struck death upon Darkenedsoul and banished him to be a phantom inside that of a void in her domain where he would forever be tormented by darkness. The next leader's followed the path of Melinoë and peace fell upon the clan, the gift of the goddess giving way to greatness for the clan. The clan grew and ages passed, they moved territory from the darkened plains that were soon dominated by humans, to what is now their home.
History of the current leader: The current leader is named Silverghost, though her warrior name was Silverlily. As a kit she was a runt, not having the strength to even move for the first two moons of her life. Many believed she would perish but the kit pulled through and grew. As an apprentice she trained diligently, learning the history of the clan, how to use her gift, and of course, how to hunt and fight. She grew steadily stronger and one night, while heading to the apprentices den, caught sight of a fox sneaking through a hole in the camp wall and into the nursery. Her instincts kicked in and she was soon inside the den, jumping at the fox right before he could grab a kitten from a queen who was trying to sit up, but having a tough time because of a broken leg. She let out a caterwaul that woke the camp as she attacked, apprentices came in and helped moved kits as the warriors could not get in because of the larger fox. Once all the kits and queens were safely out, the warriors stood ready for Silverpaw to chase it out, but that never came. Silverpaw, in her fury to protect the new additions to the clan that were to small to be moved from the warmth of the nest that lay at the very back of the nursery, bit into the fox's neck and snapped it, causing the fox to grow still. She stood back and swayed on her legs as blood pooled at her paws from a slash that went across her neck and up onto her shoulders. Her mother called her name right before she blacked out. The current leader, Ovalghost, stated that if Silverpaw pulled through she would be made a warrior immediately, despite being only 8 moons old. Many did not believe she would pull through, but her mother and the medicine cats would not give up, working steadily around the clock to help her pull through and finally, after almost an entire moon, Silverpaw awoke. Through the next days she worked to get her strength back until finally she could walk again without her head spinning and gained the name of Silverlily for her bravery in protecting the kits of Lilyflight. As a warrior she continued to be the best she could, fighting hard, hunting throughout the day a lot, and training many great warriors until she was finally named deputy upon the death of Ovalghost. Through the next seasons she worked steadily but sadly, the current leader abandoned the clan to run off with a kittypet he had been seeing, leaving the clan to fend for themselves and split on who to truly trust anymore. Silverlily gained her title of Silverghost and now fights to bring her clan back together before tensions arise from a group of fogues who have decided to infiltrate their land.
Ceremonies/Traditions:
The ceremonies are all the same in a way except for one, the leader's ceremony. Instead of gaining nine lives as is usual, the cat itself is given not only gifts from nine pat ancestors, but a gift from that of Melinoë herself. Melinoë takes the to be leader's soul and in a way duplicates it using the gifts of the nine ancestors and gives each ancestors one piece. The new leader, instead of receiving nine live, receives that of nine new souls to strengthen them.

A person terrified with the imagination of spectres, is more reasonable than one who thinks the appearance of spirits fabulous and groundless. ~Joseph Addison TerritoryThe woods, serene, calm, beautiful, natures garden. Oaks, Beech, Silver Birch, Holly bushes, winding path of mud gets boggy in places as it falls into gullies and rises up the hill, Sound or tinkling water, a stream rushes by in it's steep sided ditch, splashing on the rocks, cascading down small waterfalls, carrying twigs and leaves into small natural dams, leaves dance gaily on trees up above, dapple the light, intermittent shade, bird song rises and falls in sweet melodious chorus, snow drops amidst the trees, squirrels scamper and scurry up and down tree trunks. The river that cut through the territory diagonally was a slice of mellow harmony amid the fragrant leaves. It flows like time, always onward, always toward its destiny. One day these placid waters will enter that great ocean, each drop a vital part of what becomes the mighty aquatic world. In the shade of the boughs we wade in, feeling the welcome kiss of coolness, watching the eddies that swirl and disappear. The water surface is livened by brief crescents of white that are fish arcing as they swim. Our eyes travels down stream, caressing the dapples that bring the shine of the water to a hue so homely. A vast blanket of white hung heavy over the hills. It suffocated every bush and every tree at their base, swallowing every distant object and vanishing around every corner, folding around the territory like a protective wall. To the south-east of the territory is a darkened, thicker forest, stepping into the forest robbed you of one sense and heightened the others. It was disorientating to be almost blinded but given the ears of a wolf. Even the soft susurration of the branches felt heavy in the ears. The sense of smell was sensitized, the loam in the earth and the decomposing leaves made the atmosphere close and thick. The blackness nurtured a sense of claustrophobia inside you even though the woodland stretched unbroken for miles. The narrow path, which was made uneven by the knotted roots that crossed it, branched at intervals. On the northern edge of the territory lay an abandoned how, dust lay over every surface like dirty snow, pristine dust layer, not a foot print anywhere, dust bunnies the size of bowling balls tumbled across the floor boards toward unseen skittles, free papers piled up to the letter box and cascaded all the way to the foot of the rough wooden stairs, old tea cups lay on a coffee table thickly encrusted with dried up mould, dust covered mirrors, smell of mildew, stale air, air thick with dust, shafts of light bursting through gaps in the boarded up window, light streaming through the gaps in the heavy velvet curtains, absolute silence, not even the hum of a refrigerator, the houses only occupants weaved their webs between the spindles of the stair banisters and from the ceiling to the wall, old cobwebs billowed in the draft. Near the camp the only hint of the abandoned tunnel was a slight rise in the ground, a hillock if you will, but one that was long like an almighty worm had burrowed under the tussocked grass. Once inside the light died like it was being swallowed. The abandoned tunnel smelled of the earth but the floor crunched beneath each footfall and echoed... The temperature drops as you enter into the massive underground chamber, sending a violent chill down your spine. Light reaches neither wall nor ceiling, confining vision to a small circle of flickering orange cast by the torch; inky black water sloshes against a narrow strip of land that disappears into the darkness before you and jagged teeth of stone descend from the shadows above. The western edge of woodland, slopes down gently to a bramble filled ditch, overgrown with cow parsley and nettles, bare patches, thick lush dew laden grass, cowslip with it's broad yellow flowers trumpeting the music of spring, Dandelions, Ragwort, scattered clusters of rabbit droppings, hawthorn hedge, five bar gate, brook half choked with weeds, purple thistle, bumble bee, rutted track, cow pats, clump of figwort. CampA clearing near the winding river is the location of the clan's camp. The ground slopes down into a hollow of sorts with a mossy bottom and several fallen trees near the edges along with several outcroppings of boulders around the hollow itself. The edges of the hollow is surrounded by thick bramble and bracken bushes that act as a protective barrier and hide the camp. The only entrance is an opening on the north edge of the wall. The leaders den lays among the refurbished branches of one of the fallen trees on the southern edge of the hollow. The large, broken oak has one area with many thick branches that have been strengthened with vines and bracken to make a den, with moss covering the ground on the inside. The den can hold three cats. The medicine cat den is surrounded by a fallen tree on one side and a bracken wall on the other, with the entrance being through a patch of ferns. A rock inside covers the area where the herbs are stored and several nests are laid through the area, the ones for the medicine cats being nearest the boulder. The warriors den and the apprentices den are side by side, separated by a large, long boulder. Vines wrap around the rock before being weaved into the bracken dens to hold them to the rocks. The dens are mainly made of bracken with some brambles, holly, pine, and thick mosses as well. The den are placed against the side the hollow so that the ens can be made bigger by digging into the sides of the hollow. The queen's den is the only den fully underground. Two boulders lean against each other and a hole between them marks the entrance into the den. A tunnel flow down for several tail length before stopping and opening up into a large cavern that is well insulated and almost always warm because of the packed dirt around them. The den can hold a decent amount of cats and can always be expanded. The elder's den is at the base of the same tree that the leader's den is on. Another tree lays by it and is hollowed out, making a well protected and dry den for the older cats of the clan. The fresh-kill is placed on a stone near the center of the camp that is protected by a smaller tree growing up beside it. LandmarksThe Winding River: The river that cut through the territory diagonally was a slice of mellow harmony amid the fragrant leaves.
The Forbidden Forests: To the south-east of the territory is a darkened, thicker forest, stepping into the forest robbed you of one sense and heightened the others.
Abandoned Two-leg Den: On the northern edge of the territory lay an abandoned how, dust lay over every surface like dirty snow, pristine dust layer, not a foot print anywhere, dust bunnies the size of bowling balls tumbled across the floor boards toward unseen skittles, free papers piled up to the letter box and cascaded all the way to the foot of the rough wooden stairs, old tea cups lay on a coffee table thickly encrusted with dried up mould, dust covered mirrors, smell of mildew, stale air, air thick with dust, shafts of light bursting through gaps in the boarded up window, light streaming through the gaps in the heavy velvet curtains, absolute silence, not even the hum of a refrigerator, the houses only occupants weaved their webs between the spindles of the stair banisters and from the ceiling to the wall, old cobwebs billowed in the draft.
The Spirits Hollows: The only hint of the abandoned tunnel on the eastern side of the camp was a slight rise in the ground, a hillock if you will, but one that was long like an almighty worm had burrowed under the tussocked grass. Once inside the light died like it was being swallowed. The abandoned tunnel smelled of the earth but the floor crunched beneath each footfall and echoed... The temperature drops as you enter into the massive underground chamber, sending a violent chill down your spine. The only light is that pale glowing coming from and unseen source all throughout the cavern; inky black water sloshes below the risen, jagged paths far below, knocking against stone and causing vacant echoes throughout the vast expanse. Jagged teeth of stone descend from the shadows above while more seem to grow out from the very walls and ground, trying to impale any who come to close.
Demeter Meadow: The western edge of woodland, slopes down gently to a bramble filled ditch, overgrown with cow parsley and nettles, bare patches, thick lush dew laden grass, cowslip with it's broad yellow flowers trumpeting the music of spring, Dandelions, Ragwort, scattered clusters of rabbit droppings, hawthorn hedge, five bar gate, brook half choked with weeds, purple thistle, bumble bee, rutted track, cow pats, clump of figwort.

Probably the scariest thing about cemeteries is that music they play in your head when you drive by one. ~Demetri Martin AllegiancesLeader Silverghost - Silverghost is an oriental seal point siamese cat. The oriental in her makes it where she's a svelte cat with long, tapering lines, very lithe but muscular. Excellent physical condition. Clear eyes. Strong and lithe, neither bony nor flabby. She has seal point siamese markings and beautiful, dark blue eyes. She has a long, jagged scar that stretches across her neck and up onto her right shoulder. A few more scar can be seen on her belly on sides. She's a very feisty but caring cat, having the most loyalty for her clan as can be. She' level-headed even with very rampant emotions, and always fights to do what's right. Her mother is Palemist and her father is Cedarbelly. Silverghost has the ability to communicate to any kind of animal or spirit, using the different elements. (Jekyll)
1st Soul- Given by Kenos. Strength. 2nd Soul- Given by Ovalghost. Loyalty. 3rd Soul- Given by Cedarbelly. Bravery. 4th Soul- Given by Palemist. Motherly Love. 5th Soul- Given by Shortleap. Deputy Whiteember- Whiteember is a stunningly white she cat with subtle gray tabby markings on her ears and face. Her neck and hind legs bear the same tiger stripe markings as her ears and face do. Along the front of her shoulders are some darker gray spots. Her legs are a gradient from darker gray to the subtle gray the she cat sports elsewhere on her white coat. Her front toes are white as well. The cat’s body is of normal size, but she has lean muscle tone and a lithe looking body. Whiteember’s luxurious fluffy tail has the same gradient but with a black tip. She has bright amber eyes that mimic flames with small specks of gold circling around the iris. This is where she found her namesake. Her nose and paw pads are a light pink. The she-cat’s darker fur is speckled with white as if snow has fallen on her. Whiteember is a softspoken she-cat and often does more listening than talking. Even though she appears to be a softie, don’t let that fool you. At the flip of a switch, she goes from the dainty she-cat her appearance leads others to believe to a fierce strong willed warrior. Whiteember is very patient and attentive with others. She makes a great teacher, but can be strict. She has a strong sense of hearing and with her long legs, she’s an excellent runner. She enjoys hanging around the nursery and is often found playing with the kits. Her power is liquid induced cryokinesis. (calliope) Medicine Cat (0/4) ?? - description Mentor to Apprenticepaw

Bronzefur-Bronzefur is a large Persian with orange eyes that tend to cut through you.He isn't a very friendly tom and is very intimidating just at a glance. He towers over most cats and with his long fur almost always spiked he looks like a hairy porcupine. He has a soft side for sick cats, his family having died to sickness.(He thinks it as Quailfeather)His gift is to have really tough skin, hence the name.(Brokennose(Protractor))-Ash grey
(Bronzefur and Quailfeather are senior warriors

Quailfeather padded into camp with a few bats in his mouth. He had found a cave fur of them but only killed three before the rest figured out what was going on.He placed them on a smaller pile to drain and took a stoat for himself from it,incase it hadn't fully drained. He preferred the taste of land animals over air animals.
Bronzefur stepped out of the warriors' den and took in a long breath. The air smelled good this early in the morning.Looking across the camp he saw a few cats out and about but not many."Anyone up for hunting?"He asked with a slight growl.
Flowerkit woke up and stretched before heading out of the queens' den.

Lilyflight looked up from where she had been grooming her fur at Bronzefur's voice and stood, stretching leisurely before shaking out her fur and padding over to the tom. "I'm up for a hunt." Looking around she spotted Stoatclaws appear from the warriors den and called to him. "Stoatclaws! Wanna go for a hunt!"
The Havana brown cat looked toward Lilyflight and Bronzefur before smiling softly and making his way over to them. "I'd be delighted to go out hunting. Might get me moving since I just awoe. We need to stock up for leaf-bare anyways."
"Be careful Flowerkit, it's getting colder so if you get chilly come back to the nursery." Steakthcreek called out before beginning to groom her smallest kit, who was so still he could've been stone.
Silverghost padded from her den and gazed around the camp, smiling as she watched as cats began to awake and make their way out, shivering lightly at the air of leaf-fall. The leaves floated down into camp in beautiful colors of golds and reds and watching them, Silverghost forgot about the troubles she currently faced for a moment. Once the moment passed the she-cat made her way to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a mink from the top before making her way over to Quailfeather and sitting by the tom. "Good morning Quailfeather."

Bronzefur nodded in satisfaction at the two that joined him.Lilyflight was really great with her nose and Stoatclaws was very fast. What more could you ask for in a patrol?"Should we head to the western woods,"He asked the other two."or some where else?"
"I will mother, don't worry."Flowerkit called over her shoulder as she trotted over to a bare patch of grass and started digging.
Quailfeather looked up when Silverghost said his name."Good morning to you Silverghost. How are you this morning?"

Lilyflight nodded in agreement. "The western woods is a great start. With Demeter meadow close by the prey is always plentiful there." She waited, knowing that one of the senior warriors would be better to lead to patrol.
Silverghost thought for a moment before replying. "I'm okay, got a lot on my mind but otherwise the day couldn't be going better. How about you?"

Bronzefur nodded and started walking out of camp, flicking his tail for the others to follow. He wasn't going to waste time talking about who needed to lead and who was going to start where, they just didn't have the time."We'll make a pile about as tall as me and then we'll bring it back."He explained. It wasn't that he liked himself better than the others, even if he did,it was just that he was much bigger so it only seemed logical.
Quailfeather thought about his answer before deciding how to word it."Sour.Sour to put it simply.I found a whole cave of bats and only managed to get three.I mean,I know it's better to let someone else catch most of them but still."

"Will we be able to carry all of that back to camp?" Lilyflight said quickly. "Plus it'll rot since the holes to store prey in for winter hasn't been dug yet because the water in the cave near camp hasn't froze. We need to ice to put at the bottom of the holes remember."
Silverghost chuckled lightly and shook her head. "Every piece counts in these times. Three bats is a great start. Bats have superior hearing so being able to be quiet enough to get into their nesting cave is a feat all by itself." She finished off her mink before looking around. "Once you finish eating can you take some prey to Stealthcreek? She isn't wanting to leave Smallkit's side after all." A worried expression shadowed the leader's face as she said the tiny kit's name before it disappeared once more. "I'm heading out." With that she turned and left camp.

Bronzefur exhaled slowly."First,we can more than one trip and second,it's not to store. The clan's still growing and we'll all need our strength if we want to make it to and through the first snow."He explained.
"Yeah, leave the job that requires a mouth to me."Quailfeather sighed and knocked a rabbit off the pile and started patting it towards the queens' den.Once he got it there he knocked it into the hole."Silverghost wanted me to give this to you."He explained."And don't worry,I didn't bite it."

Lilyflight bristled slightly before stopping and turning to the tom, looking him in the eyes. "A pile of prey as tall of you huh? well lets see, with the amount of time till leaf-bare and the amount of new kits, which is three mind you, over half of that prey will rot before it's even touched again."
Stealthcreek smiled softly and pulled the rabbit close. "Thank you Quailfeather." She didn't eat though, instead turning her attention back to Smallkit and nudging him slightly before licking his head, her eyes sad and worried.

Bronzefur held her gaze."Only if we only catch small prey."He looked into her pale eyes with a small bit of annoyance."Rabbits, stoats, groundhogs, and squirrels will make up most of it.And if we find manage a bigger bird then it'll be fine and still be eaten."All the while, keeping his voice calm.
Quailfeather sighed as he crawled into the den."Silverghost wants you to eat,so please do.If you don't she'll get mad and you might run out of milk. Then who'll keep Smallkit fed?"

"The larger prey will then go to waste as some of it won't get eaten. What then? Just let it become crowfood and waste valuable prey?" Lilyflight lashed her tail.
"He isn't even suckling though. He hasn't opened his eyes, he doesn't make noises, and most of the time he's so still it's as if he isn't even alive. What if he doesn't pull through?" Stealthcreek's voice cracked.

"Who wouldn't eat the whole thing so close to leaf-bare?That's idiotic!"Bronzefur's fur was starting to spike.
Quailfeather started stroking her flank with his tail."He will pull through."He tried to reassure the queen."Silverghost was like this too and look how she turned out.I bet he'll turn out to be leader one day."He purred.
