Whisp flicked her white ears at Lionclaws words happy that the tom was now finally awake. Though she didnt look forwards to getting her freshly groomed pelt wet and mucky, the loner couldnt wait to stretch her legs. In the one moon that she spent recovering from her fall, Whisp had found the clans daily routines calming. For once it was nice to have things be predictable, atleast to an extent. She knew that it wouldnt be long before Cedarstar would approach her about her still being here and every time she thought about it her heart seemed to ache which in turn confused her. Whisp had never been one to settle down, but as her icy blue eyes looked at the sandy colored tom infront of her she knew that it would break her heart to leave. She had to find a way to stay, maybe if she helped out with the hunting the clan would be inclined to allowing her to stay.... It was a long shot but she had to atleast try. "Want to go hunting?", she questioned sweetly.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind assisting with a sparring lesson," Beetleclaw replied with a curt nod. He was grateful for the invitation; he would much rather fight in the rain than hunt in the rain, when the scents of prey would be suppressed by the smell of water and damp earth. He followed Leafpaw and Stagbellow out of the camp and toward the Nettle Hollow, wincing slightly as the first raindrops hit his face.

Once settled, River finally shoot the water feomber dripping pelt, careful to not get the others wet. Though they were a group, tensions always seemed high with everyone on edge. The last thing she wanted to do was get someone wet and get clawed for it. After giving her pelt a couple of licks she noticed Cream tucked away in the belly of Darks pelt. "Cream, would you care for a mouse?" She questioned pawing the second mouse towards the hidden kit. The she-cat had a soft spot for Cream, not because she was a kit, but because she was motherless just like her. And something eithin River felt compelled to help care for the little shecat.

Mothpaw l camp l open The apprentice stretched out in the sun, the heavy air of the nearing storm leaving her coat feeling damp and heavy. Normally, she'd spend some time grooming before going out, but today she just shook her coat out and left the apprentice den. Already, she could see a few of the warriors heading out towards Cedarstar's den to set up patrols. She knew she should join them, but instead she padded over to the medicine cat's den, poking her head in quietly. She was worried; her mentor was in far more pain than Mothpaw could imagine, and she was desperate to help. That and that knowledge that it was likely she'd be training with another warrior until Sandlily was better, kept her at the entrance, listening to see if either Sandlily or Hazelroot were awake with any updates.
Cloverskip l camp l open Cloverskip had woken to the sound of rolling thunder. He stood up and walked quietly over to the entrance of the warrior's den, taking his time to work out the static that seemed to cling and make his fur stand out. When he was satisfied, the warrior got to his feet and made quick work of the distance between the warrior's den and Cedarstar's. He found himself watching the clouds with apprehension. If the storm were to break, it would make things that much harder. Dealing with the rogues had proven to be difficult under normal circumstances, and he was not eager to increase the difficulty.

Leaving the nursery Nettlestep quickly made for Cedarstats den. Giving his head a quick shake to keep the rain water from dripping in his eyes the multicolored tom dipped his head to his leader and then gave a quick curt nod to Cloverskip who was already in there. Taking a seat against the wall he waited for more to arrive. "What are you thinking about doing for border patrols today?" His question was avalid one, with the rogues currently occupying the Grasslands what were they to do?

Cedarstar was happy to see Cloverskip arrive and quickly followed by Nettlestep. "Greetings", he meowed kindly to the both of them his low voice almost rumbling from within his cave like den. Hearing the senior warriors question Cedarstar took a brief second before answering. "For now I would just simply like to send out two patrols, one to work their way around the norther mountains edge and into the Shadow Pines and the other to work through the western mountains edge and through Elk Herd Clearing. After the rest of the territory has been patrolled, both patrols need to meet up at the Dead Pine before continuing into the Grasslands. You will have enough muscle to fend off anyone but for now I dont want anymore wounded cats." It pained the clan leader to think of poor Sandlily who was practically shredded by the group of rogues. "We need to know more about this group. Their numbers, exact location, any sort of weaknesses that they may have. So once the two patrols meet up I want both groups to stay out of sight and try to learn as much about the group as possible. Just be back at camp before nightfall. We will maintain the curfew of no cats out of camp after dark."

Sandlily barley heard the soft patter of her apprentices paw steps and had to open her eyes to confirm that it was not just the pitter patter of the rain. "Ahh what a sweet sight you are", her meow was hoarse and faint and she looked towards Mothpaw making sure not to move in any way. "Could you please do me a favor. I can feel a flea just eating me up just above that gash on my flank. If you would get that nuisance off me I would be eternally grateful." Sandlily would have tended to it herself but the poor battered warrior could barely move without risking immense pain.

Leafpaw nodded to her mentor and bounded forward a few lengths looking back at them, the quicker this was done the faster she could dry off. Though her fur wasn’t like the others of her clan and had some resistance to the water it didn’t do much to keep her warm though. “This was your Idea Stagbellow... I could just go hunting instead of this type of training.” She was hopeful to get out of a muddy sparing where she would be cleaning mud from her pelt for a fortnight.

“In this rain... um I guess.” He looked at her questioningly, “Why so eager to hunt?” He asked tilting his big head slightly. She was a highly intelligent she cat and he had grown extremely close to her over the moon, he found her not only beautiful but infuriating but only because she wasn’t afraid to challenge him in wits. He also found her completely adorable when mad.

Cream poked her head up and smiled at River, she hadn’t grown too much in the moon since joining the group. She still stayed beside Dark most of the time but when he would travel with the others she would go to the hiding spot in the maple nearby. Dark and Cream liked the shecat more then the others so far and Cream appreciated the more gentle presence of the shecat. “Thank you River.” She meowed and moved to the mouse. The movement caused Dark’s ear to move and swivel. He rarely relaxed.

Cloverskip l camp l Cedarstar and Nettlestep The young warrior sat near the entrance of the den and listened to Cedarstar's plan. It was a solid, good plan. "What about a guard here at camp? With Sandlily's condition and the young kits still in the nursery, I'd feel more comfortable with a few warriors here, in case they're planning anything." They didn't know enough about the rogues, how well organized they were, or how far they'd push. His tail gave a nervous flick. He didn't want anymore attacks.
Mothpaw l camp l Sandlily
The apprentice's heart broke at the sight of her mentor. She hadn't been allowed to see Sandlily yet, given the severity of her injuries. "Y-yes!" She quietly responded, and crept down into the den. The full scale of the injuries hit her and her breath caught in her throat. She couldn't imagine what sort of monsters would do this to someone as sweet and wonderful as Sandlily. "How are you doing?" She asked as she knelt down and started hunting for the flea.

Hollowbirch | Falconwing | camp
The morning Hollowbirch woke up to was a dreary one at best, with an ongoing thunderstorm showering them from above. The tom had to force back a loud sigh of irritation as he shifted in his nest, wincing as his aching body flared with pain. The whole ordeal with Sandlily had cost him as well, but it had been worth it to save the she-cat's life. Hollowbirch was grateful he and Mothpaw had been around to help fight off those stupid rogues.
Being reminded of his injured friend, the grey-and-white tom decided he would go and check on her. Glancing around, he noticed that his sister, Cinderrose's, nest was empty, meaning that the deputy was already up and at it that morning. Hopefully he could slip past her so he could see Sandlily before anything else. He had been in the medicine den along side her for a bit, but his wounds weren't worsening and Hazelroot had decided to let him go back to the warriors' den. Admittedly, he had been a little disappointed at leaving Sandlily, but didn't want to argue with the medicine cat.
As he stepped out of the den, he spotted most of his clanmates already preparing for the day; including Cinderrose. The molly was doing her typical job of giving out instructions for the day and seemed to be finishing up. Hollowbirch quickened his gait as he moved across the camp to get to the other side, where the medicine den resided. He prayed the deputy would either not notice him or notice him and not care. After all, he deserved a break; he was one of three who had gotten attacked. To his relief, he reached the den's entrance safely, so he stuck his head in and peered around to locate Sandlily and make sure it was ok for him to enter. His eyes landed on the familiar form of Mothpaw, who was obviously visiting her mentor. Hollowbirch felt a pang of pity for the apprentice; it must be difficult to witness your mentor endure such things.
Cinderrose | Falconwing , briarfur | camp
Cinderrose winced as lightning flashed overhead, a slight frown on her muzzle as she glanced up at the sky. Great, a storm was just what they needed; it wasn't like they had been dealing with enough strife already. Shaking her head to herself, she focused her attention on the clan that was now rousing. She noticed that Stagbellow was already taking Leafpaw and Beetleclaw out of the camp, as well as Cedarstar organizing a patrol. The deputy relaxed a bit, or as much as she could currently, knowing that things were being handled already. Still, the knowledge of potential danger the patrols could meet out in the forest made her fur prick, so she stood up from her spot and made her way towards the leader and Cloverskip. Dipping her head in a greeting, she asked, "What are your plans today, Cedarstar? I wanted to check in with you before I sent out any patrols."

featherpaw | camp | 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 Featherpaw awoke, sunlight bathing her silver pelt. She shook out her body to get the want to return back to sleep out of her, and began grooming herself. As she got her fur to lay flat, she couldn't help but notice that many of the apprentices had already cleared out of the den. I can't be late for training, she thought, as she quickly got to her paws and began leaving the den. She saw numerous cats already busily setting up patrols outside of Cedarstar's den, and quickly padded towards them. Peering through the small sea of cats, she saw her mentor - already caught up in a conversation with Cedarstar. She didn't want to eavesdrop, but snippets of their conversation revealed that no patrols had been sent out by Cinderrose yet. That was good. "Cinderrose!" she called. "I'm here! I got up on my own this time!"blossomfeather | medicine den | Falconwing briarfur 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 AbsoluteZeroGravity Blossomfeather awoke from her steady slumber, and on instinct, looked over to the patient resting inside of her den. She smiled at the sight of Mothpaw already being with her, on what seemed to look like a hunt for a flea in her mentor's pelt. "I hope you're doing well, Sandlily," she called from her nest. She approached the wounded she-cat and gently nudged her apprentice aside. Immediately, she began inspecting the warrior. "You're only getting stronger each day, though I do hope that the poppy seeds have done their job in soothing your pain. I have some horsetail that I'll apply to your wounds - StarClan forbid that any of them become infected." She stepped back from the she-cat and took another look at the warrior before her. "You're very strong, Sandlily. I - and StarClan - will have you healed as soon as physically possible. I promise."
Her ears pricked at the sound of paw steps. She peered behind her and spotted a familiar white pelt. "Hollowbirch. Hello." She smiled. "I assume you'd like to speak to your former denmate? I'd appreciate it if you could help Mothpaw keep her company; she needs all the support she can get in trying times like these."
The medicine cat moved out of the tom's way, stepping outside of her den. Cool air fluttered past her, but the sight from above was dark and cloudy. It certainly wasn't one of the best days throughout history. She padded through camp, peering into the each den. She stopped when she got to a place she had been to many times - the nursery. She went in, and stopped when she saw one of the only kits in the nursery - one she had seen before yet never spoken to - striped and light gray.
"Hello, there," she meowed softly. "You seem a little too big to be a kit."birchclaw | camp | open Birchclaw stepped outside of the warrior den, and immediately padded through camp towards Cedarstar's den. He was eager to get assigned on a patrol, and the speed of his strides showcased it.

Out into the clans terriotry Stagbellow led the small group east straight for the Shallow Crossing. Moving at a swift pace he listened to his apprentice try to get out of this training session and he couldnt help but chuckle. "You must be prepared to fight in any type of environment. With the rogues at our doorstep, I dont wish for anything to happen to you", the sorrel tom couldn't help but think of poor Sandlily and Hollowbirch who were just recently injured. "But we can definitely do some hunting afterwards." It wasnt long before he came to a halt at the Shallow Crossing. With all the rain that they just recently started to get the rivers water level was high and fast flowing, making this crossing point a dangerous one. "Think we should go further down to the Dead Pine?" He questioned turning to look at Beetleclaw.

Moving here had been the best thing to happen to the small group in a long time. The only issue was that the clan cats were very persistent about keeping hold of this land and there had been constant fights. River had been thinking hard and the only way that she saw her little group staying was if they had more cats willing to fight. "I've been thinking, and I know that we all wish to stay here, but the clan cats are strong and they outnumber us. We can only keep up these sherades for a little while longer before they come at us full force. The only way I see us standing a chance is if we recruit more cats." Expressing her thoughts to the others River continued on to the focal point of the conversation. "That being said I think that I will leave for a couple of days to try and find some cats willing to join us to help make us stronger."

Sandlily felt such relief when Mothpaw found the flea and rid her pelt of it. "Ahhh", she breathed her body relaxing. After a moment she heard the ruslting of the den entrance and she opened her eyes to see Hollowbirch. Heart fluttering she couldnt help but try and shift her body to see him better. Gritting her teeth and clentching her eyes shut she pushed through the pain and lifted her head. Her muscles welcomed the movement but her battered pelt screamed otherwise. Taking a second to catch her breath the pain settled and she opened her eyes to look at the tom. "You look well" she meowed softly, "Your wounds seem to have healed nicely." Just then Blossomfeather came in to assess her and she blinked in response. "I can feel myself improving, I just wish the process would go a bit faster. Thank you for everything Blossomfeather." Aso more cats arrived Cedarstar went back over his pateol plans with everyone telling them that there would be two differnt patrols. One going south to Elk Herd Clearing and the other east to the Shadow Pines. Then they would meet up together just outside the Grasslands and gather as much intell on the rogues as possible doing their best not to be seen nor get into any fights. "Cinderrose will you lead ome of the patrols.... and Nettlestep you can do the other", Cedarstar did his best to choose experienced cats to lead these important patrols. "And Cloverskip you are correct to want to make sure camp is well guarded. I will stay with two other warriors to keep watch over the camp while the patrols are out. Everyone just remember to stay vigilant and to never go off by yohrself bacuse thats when they seem to be attacking."

Beetleclaw carefully assessed the shallow crossing and noted that the waters were high and fast. "Crossing at the dead pine would be a much safer choice," he finally stated. "We already have enough injured cats back at camp from the rogue attacks. We don't want to risk anyone else getting hurt unnecessarily."
Dovekit sat up as Blossomfeather entered the nursury. She had seen Blossomfeather before, but they had never interacted with each other. To be honest, Dovekit didn't know anything about Blossomfeather, not even her name. "That's because I'm six moons old!" she stated. "I'm going to be an apprentice soon!" Dawn || 25 moons || Female
Dawn is a lithe, short-haired she-cat. The main color in her tabby pelt is what one may describe as "sandy" though in some lights she can appear light ginger. Her paws - along with her tail - are tipped with white, and her muzzle follows suit, being white under her nose and over her mouth. The stripes that adorn her coat are a dark ginger, and her nose is a dark pink. Her eyes are green, but far from piercing, and her gaze is always soft. She also has three scars running down her flank - each of varying sizes. Despite her soft look, Dawn is very opinionated. She isn't afraid to release those opinions, either, because she wants only the best for others, and feels that criticism is the way to improve - making her one that is difficult to warm up to. She stays on her own most of the time, yet longs for a mate; she has a soft spot for kits and wants some of her own desperately. Despite the soft spot, she is a skilled hunter and has won most of the fights that she's gotten herself into - evident in her scars. She refuses to make others clean up her messes, though will often take things into her own paws for the cats she cares about. She was born in the wild, but elderly two-legs found her looking for food and took her in - making her a kittypet, and naming her Melody. She became incredibly attached to the two-legs, yet due to their old age, the two of them both died, and she was there to bear witness to both deaths. She retreated back to the wild and joined the rouge group, but she often drifts from them to be on her own. Oblivious to the slight quiver in the kit's voice, Blossomfeather got up from her seated position and got to her paws. "I wonder who'll end up being lucky enough to be your mentor," she meowed, allowing the faintest laugh at the end of her sentence. "I mean, I'd love to be, but StarClan knows I won't be getting an apprentice any time soon." She looked at the kit, considering. "It doesn't hurt to teach you the little I remember from warrior training, though, as a sort of head-start, I suppose. So, let's see your best hunting crouch." The calico got into the stance herself, trying to be an example; making sure to keep her body low and her tail straight, she showcased one of the only things she remembered from her brief apprenticeship training to be a warrior. After a few seconds, she got up and assumed her sitting position from before. "Now, let's see you try, Dovekit."

Dovekit tilted her head slightly. What did Blossomfeather mean by "what little she remembered"? Wasn't she a warrior? Shouldn't she remember everything from her training, rather than just a little bit? Dovekit's train of thought was interrupted as Blossomfeather lowered herself down into a hunting crouch. Dovekit watched nervously; she had never enjoyed play fighting with the other kits, so she wasn't completely comfortable with her crouching and pouncing abilities. Still, she knew this was her chance to show off her potential skills to one of her clanmates, so she vowed to try her best. "Um... how's this?" The little gray kit lowered herself down into a crouch. It looked right for the most part, but her haunches were a bit too high and her paws a bit too far apart.
