(Word of mouth really, which would include people she's stolen from, people who've hired her, and in the early days at least, people she approched. Also as far as she's aware, no one knows that her real name is Elwyn Azal and most would probably be introduced to her as Stardust.
I'll be slightly flakey for probably an hour or so because I'm doing some DnD.)

(Okay so I've come up with a few ideas for something to do with Elwyn. 1) She can be hired for a job or hired to work alongside someone. 2) Thinking about it, since she does a lot of sneaking around she could be hired as a spy of sorts. She could also be asked to work with someone on that kind of job. 3) Paid for giving info. As I've said before she's probably picked up some information during her jobs, so for the right amount she could share what she knows. Those are a few ideas I had, do you have any?)

(I would imagine many warehouse locations from each faction, important memebers, their typical hangouts, and a few personal details like family or history, what the security's like(so how well trained everyone is, what ranks people might be, or how well guarded things are), and big events like parties.
Also what would the time period be? Modern? 1920's? Mid 20th century? etc.)

--emilien fournier ; fournier owner
Watching her stop and gape at a jewelry store wasn't particularly reassuring to anyone, but Emile didn't need her as a thief. They owned most expensive things anyway, and if there was something they wanted then they had professionals to do the deed. Sometimes, however, you needed someone a little blue collar. A black Mercedes rolled up next to Elwyn on the sidewalk and the back right tinted window rolled down. "Stardust, if I'm not mistaken?" Emile asked, voice low and confident even though it was posed as a question. Whether or not she would recognize him was not important--it was his white suite that was. White suit, white tie, black button down underneath; it was the uniform of high ranking Fourniers. Though his looks didn't differ from his brothers and they were often mistaken, their personalities were very different. If Elwyn did, however, know what the twins looked like, his fluffy but tamed reddish-brown hair and freckles did him no favors. To make matters worse, even though his Adrien was softer as a person, they both knew how to intimidate, how to glare and smirk and prod. Hopefully that wouldn't be needed. He needed a job done, and the problem with their current business model was that any Fournier was easy to spot whether or not they were in a suit. There was a certain demeanor and class members carried, and that was completely intentional. However, it meant any reconnaissance could get spotted or identified rather easily. And for this, they had to source employees elsewhere. "I think I have a proposition for you." And the door opened, an offer for her to enter.

Elwyn contiuned to walk in silence, head still down. She noticed a black car as it slowed to match her pace. Despite her better judgement, the woman paused and watched the window roll down. She was greeted by a man in a white suit, a clear mark of his affiliations. Elwyn rolled her eyes, not caring if the man noticed. Great a Fouriner, she thought with contempt. Before she had a chance to speak, the Fouriner called her by her code name.
The dark-skinned woman nodded. "Yes, I'm Stardust." She said nothing more and began to study the stranger. Her face was flat and she stood still, trying to reveal nothing. She noticed an air of confidence around the man.ย By his dress he was clearly an important person within the faction. That likely helped boost his confidence. He was bold, but probably careful and secretive.
"A job?" The thief asked as the door opened. She hesitated and eyed the man suspiciously. A car would be diffcult to escape from and potentially dangerous. However she would manage, she always escaped. After a moment, she got into the black vehicle and closed the door.

When she entered the car, รmile was already on the other side--the seats were smooth black leather and he was unbuckled, so it was easy to slide. It was cold in the car, air conditioning working efficiently as the early summer sun started to heat up after morning. It smelled like ozone, too, but only in the vehicle, and there was no reasonable explanation for that. The driver in the front wore all black with his hair combed back and sunglasses on, something so uncannily Matrix that it was almost laughable. Then, however, was the gravity of the situation. Once the door was closed, they drove off, รmile crossing his legs in the ample room made for them as he lounged. "And a good one, I would think," he said, smiling lightly. He knew, of course, she would take it--sure, there was high risk, but there was also high reward. The best thing about hiring an outsider was the ability to brush it off; how could it have been the Fourniers? Look at her, she's clearly not one of them. And they wouldn't be dumb enough to leave a paper trail, either. "You know what's become of Ver Tahesh, correct?" He asked, relaxed and unconcerned--acting too serious, too uptight, it scared people away. It became too real. Which, all of this was, but he could create an illusion of familiarity. "And what happened last night, that we moved into Radial City. I want to know more, however--I want to know what's going on with them." He didn't ask directly, รmilien's intentions clear through his insinuations. "How good are you at acting?"

Elwyn sat in silence, waiting for the man to speak again. She shifted in the seat as the car began to move, trying to get settled. As she moved, she mentally noted the features of the car, the silent driver, and the streets they were taking. Even if the man was just hiring her for a job, it was wise to know where they were at. The car was uncomfortably cool and the smell wasn't pleasing. She wrinkled her nose and tried to ignore the scent, instead focusing on the current situation. When the man spoke again, Elwyn nodded in reply. A good job? By your standard or mine? She didn't, of course, say that out loud. It would've been unwise. She stayed silent until the man spoke again.
The thief snorted. "Of course I know what happened to Riven Shah; everyone does. And yesterday, well everyone knows what happened there too." Elwyn didn't say anything else as she watched the man. She saw how relaxed he was in the way he leaned into the seat. In the way his shoulders were slightly slumped and in the softness of his expression. Elwyn felt comfortable, she felt like she could easily talk with the man and she hated that. However she sat still and tried to hide the fact that she was getting comfortable.
"I'm good- I have to be to do my job. Otherwise we probably wouldn't be talking." Elwyn paused and narrowed her eyes with curiosity. "Why?"

Well, she was right on that front. Emile wouldn't go for something without any research even with his magic. Elwyn knew what she was doing, and if she didn't it would be easy to wash his hands of her. "I want to know what's going on inside Ver Tahesh," he said again, inspecting the cuff of his coat like this was nothing to him. "And I would be willing to pay you to join them and spy on them. Once it's done, we would provide protection, of course." And money grew on trees for him, so it would be no problem negotiating. He looked up at her, smiling calmly. "Would you be up to this? I fully understand if not, and we can drop you off wherever you like."

(I've been meaning to write this all day, but I haven't been feeling to well for some reason. But on the bright side at least I got this posted.)
The woman blinked in surprise and glanced at the man for a moment. "So you want me to spy on an enemy faction for your gain? Why? Ehat information would you want specifically? You know they don't take getting betrayed lightly and it will be diffcult to gain their trust in the first place." It was true from things she's heard. The Ver Tahesh rarely had members leave, and those who did successfully had to watch their backs. The idea that the Fouriners would provide protection was also displeasing. She didn't want to rely on them, they were worse in some ways. They were always up to something. And yet she didn't say no to the offer. The thought of sneaking around gave her a rush of excitement. The notion of understanding the inner workings of the faction, which would help in her thieving, was enticing.
Elwyn suppresses her feelings and regained focus to the task at hand. "So how much is the pay?" That was important. If she was going to risk her life, it had to be worth it. She was reckless at times, but she was no fool. No matter how interesting the job was, if it didn't meet her standards she would decline.

That was exactly it, and so รmilien nodded and let her quickly mull it over. "Anything, really. And we know, which is why we offer our protection. Even if it gets rough while you're in, you can beg off." An easy out, with muscle at your beck and call after the job. Of course came the pay question, and how he handled it was... not the best. Certainly not the worst, and it came off as fantastic, but the workings of it was suspicious. "Well, what do you want?" he asked, inspecting his nails. Again, uncaring. She could aim high and get high, but then the question begs--how high before they say no? And she could aim low and get it, but then you're dissatisfied. If he gave a number outright, it offered her the chance to negotiate, to haggle, to truly see where the bank tanked out. Usually, however, to low crime, it was an amazing deal. Middle tier may or may not know better, but only high crime and experienced employees knew what this tactic was. He wanted to see where Elwyn landed, and if she was smarter than she seemed.

[Phew, exams are a killer! Sorry this took moving to a whole knew page before i could get it out.]
"You may as well sit then, if you're not going to kick me out," she said, gesturing to the seat oposite her and removing her feet fro the chair so they were then firmly planted on the ground. This man was an enigma to her, a curiousity, and her one seeing eye scrutinised him carefully. As much as she would have preferred to be alone, he'd piqued her interest and she wanted to know more.
She understood the implication of him getting her anything perfectly well, and knew it extended to anything illicit, which was odd, she thought. At least, Samar wouldn't go around offering to get drugs for strangers. But then she supposed she would kill for them, but only for a particularly high price. And that had been before she'd entered in her contract to work exclusively for the Fourniers.
"I don't need a hospital," she groused finally, taking a moment to consider the offer before deciding against it. Even if anything had worked, she wouldn't take any offers not drawn up on paper from someone she'd just met. "Or anything else for that matter. Nothing is going make this headache go away so all there is to do is just ride it out. I just need darkness, and calm, and I have found that right here," Samar gestured to the lounge around them. She was bargaining on at least a few more hours to be able to stay here and wade through the headache until she reached the other side. But with her phone firmly switched off and without anything else on her to tell the time, she couldn't know for sure.
