Astrape Vetton This above all: to thine own self be true
Astrape had just been through a very emotional goodbye with her parents, who were devastated at what they already seemed to see as the loss of their only child. They treated her as if she were already dead, which devastated her. Sure, she was young and her chances were small, but she was still there. And she was still going to try and do what she could to win.
Now she was escorted onto the train, still dressed in her reaping clothes; her dark navy dress with the stars and her red hair in its dutch braids. She was shown to the compartment of the train for District Five. She took a seat by the window, resting her chin on her hand as she looked at the landscape outside. The train wasn't moving yet, of course, but she couldn't deny that she was a little excited for the journey. She'd never been on a train before, after all.
She looked away from the window when the door to the carriage opened, and there was the male tribute from her district. Otto Wildes, she remembered his name was. At the reaping she'd thought she recognised him, maybe from school? She knew he was a little older than her, maybe a year or so older. In the Games, a year or two could make all the difference in terms of survival.
"Hi," she greeted softly "Otto, isn't it? Astrape."
She knew it was dumb, that he had heard her name at the reaping. But there wasn't really a better way to lead into conversation. She couldn't exactly just start chatting about the Arena or the Games or about their limited chances. Astrape was determined to be positive about the whole thing, but that still didn't mean that she had any intention of just immediately jumping into talking about the Games.
"So, looks like this doesn't just happen to other people, huh?" she asked with a light chuckle at the end.
She'd always thought of the Games as something distant, something that it wasn't worth worrying about. Something that happened to other people. Obviously, she had known there was a chance she'd be chosen, but she'd found it easier to not think about it. If you thought about how you could get chosen every year you'd go insane.

Burton Acton And either victory, or else a grave
It was time for Burton's interview, and by the time it was his turn he had already watched the interviews of most of the other tributes, an interesting experience to say the least. They were all so different, and were all clearly operating under different strategies given by their mentors and stylists.
Burton thought about the outfit his own stylist had put him in; Livia had done a pretty good job, he felt. He now had a colour scheme, with some blue in his hair and in his suit. It was clearly a nod to Livia, since her signature colour was blue, and he knew it would make him more memorable to the Capitol so he honestly didn't mind. Anything that would help at this point.
As he was called out he strolled confidently across the stage, waving to the Capitol crowd, which they were absolutely lapping up. They genuinely seemed to be loving this.
He took a seat opposite his interviewer, smiling.
"So, Burton, welcome to the Capitol. Are you enjoying it here?"
"Oh, sure," Burton said with a laugh "I mean, the food alone is enough to make me love this place. Any everything's so huge. I don't know what that's about, but it's fun."
The crowd seemed to find that one funny, which was good. It meant he was off to a good start. He waved off their laughter with a smile. He was just glad he'd gotten away with only superficial praise of the Capitol.
"Now, you seem to have a pretty laid-back, jokey attitude to the Games. Why is that?"
"Well, I think even the bravest among the tributes can agree that the Games is scary, no matter how strong or prepared you are. Because for all but one of us, the Games will catch up to us eventually. But I've always thought that the only way to truly take the power from a scary situation is to laugh about it. If I can make myself, and everyone else, laugh at a scary situation, then I've done everything I need to do."
"I know many of those who watched your reaping will remember two girls in particular in the crowd. I'm assuming you left family behind."
"Ah, yes, those girls would be my sisters, Lea and Twylla - and I'm saying their names now because I'm sure they'd be super mad at me if I didn't say their names on camera at least once. It's bad enough having 23 people who want to kill me without two more people at home too"
There was a chuckle from the crowd there before Burton continued.
"I left them behind, as well as my parents. They visited me."
"And did they say anything when they visited you?"
"Just that they wanted me to try and win, which I intend to do."
The crowd cheered for that, but then Burton remembered something.
"Oh, and Lea, Twylla?" he asked, looking at the camera "My district partner, Holly, she has a cat called Catastrophe back home. Can you two find it and take care of it for her?"
The interviewer then continued with his questions, now beginning to ask about the Games.
"Do you have any special skills to help you win the Games?"
"Well, uh, I'm fast, and I can do incredible things with a sewing machine," he joked, before continuing "I have been training with a variety of weapons to cover all my bases, and I guess I'm pretty good at thinking my way out of tough situations. I've been training very hard recently, and I'm a fast learner, so I have complete faith I'll be able to adjust pretty well to whatever Arena I face."
"Do you have a plan for in the Arena?"
“A plan, am I meant to have one of those?” Burton joked “Well, my plan is to use the landscape of the Arena to my advantage in any way I can. I’m going to make sure keeping myself supplied is a priority, and then that will give me the strength I need to face the other tributes.”
"Who would you say is the biggest threat?"
"Second to the Arena itself?" he asked with a chuckle "I don't know, there are a lot of good tributes this year. My district partner Holly might get sick of me and snap, you never know. There's no predicting these things."
"And, finally, are you ready for the Games?"
"Well, I mean, unless the Games are an opt-out thing, it doesn't really matter. But to answer your question, yeah, I'm ready. I've done all the preparation I can, the only thing there's left to do now is do my best once I'm in that Arena."
Here's my inspo for Burton's outfit, 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇 . I know you have Livia so feel free to add/change anything you want
inspo for the suit I could see him wearing this scarf but closer to the shade of his suit or else just a complementary colour

Burton Acton And either victory, or else a grave
"You have a cat and you named it Catastrophe?" Burton asked with a chuckle "that is officially the greatest thing I have ever heard, its name is a pun. Now you have to win so you can go back to her. In the meantime, I'll ask my sisters in my interview if they can keep an eye on her for you."
Burton thought about what she said about the careers, nodding in response.
"Yeah, I suppose you're right. Or maybe they're so dumb they think it's all just acting or something and they're not actually killing anyone. You never know with these people."
He smiled when she got all huffy, saying the katana thing wasn't a joke. He laughed and gave her a little nudge.
"Sure, and we'll fight with all the many katanas that are always in the Arena," he joked, before continuing "Seriously, though, I think we should try and cover as many weapons and skills between us as we possibly can during training. Though we should both cover the essential survival stuff in case we get separated or anything."
Or for when one of them died, but he didn't want to mention that. It would kind of sour the mood and ruin the good atmosphere they had going at that point.

- - - - - Holly Alandria She broke out into small laughs, her straight face falling again. “I hate you,” She said through laughs, “For pointing that out.” She said, before her small laughs fell, and she turned to him. “Make sure to warm your sisters that’s she’s Claw-strophobic.” She warned, grinning, “It would be claw-ful if a fur-end was stuck in the House too long.” The whole thing was a joke, and the message was a bit serious, and a little sadness filtered through her gaze, she looked down to hide the fact. She wasn’t open on emotions, but a lot of her actions were a facade to feel better. Especially now.
She listened, nodding to his reply of the careers, and noted that.
“I’m not exactly the nicest person, or the best people pleaser. If I help you with stealth, weapons, and a plan, would you like to help me with my interview?” She questioned, glancing at him again. “Because I don’t think leaving me to my own devices is exactly the greatest move, at least with the interview,” she added.
She then went silent, thinking about home, and the dread to come. But she smiled softly, “Yeah, I think working together would be better than dying alone. To stand against the careers, we need our own pack.” She stated, smiling at her district partner.

Ari sighed, scraping his fork lightly along his now empty plate as he thought about that one. "I dunno," he finally said, "Fluff up my traits, maybe? Or just become invisible... Show myself as little as possible to the other tributes - make them forget that I'm even here. I know there've been several instances in which career packs never went for those types of people."
He grinned mischievously as he finished talking, "I could sit in my king-sized Capitol bed all day, infuse myself into their technology ridden culture, and only come out for dinner every once in a while." The more he thought about it, the more appealing it sounded. And yet, at the same time, it began to sound more and more bizarre. Doing nothing except eat and leave yourself to your thoughts? No. Chances are he would go crazy, knowing that his time was ticking down. The clock in his room would become a mortal enemy, symbolizing the little time he had left to live.
Shaking himself out of his daze, Ari realized he had eaten at least five rolls and half of a chicken. He grabbed his stomach, half in pain and in paradise. "I guess I'll just have to employ the fat strategy if I really can't resist Capitol food this much."

[ I can just imagine Ari becoming obsessed with movies and watching as many as possible before the Games, then making references to them during his interviews and such xD The Capitol would love him, but alas, </3 ]]

When they had called out the name of the 13 year old boy, declaring him the male tribute for District 2, Everest did not hesitate to volunteer. Not out of pity, of course. He could care less about some kid who had gotten his name called in the reaping. No, he wanted to be in the Games. So after training his whole life for this moment, and rehearsing to himself in the mirror night after night, the words came easily.
"I volunteer as tribute!"
His voice was firm, commanding. It was the voice of a victor. Out of all of those who had trained alongside of him, Everest knew he showed the most promise. As the child of a victor, he was expected to volunteer, just as his mother had when she was 18. As one of the oldest tributes, he would have the edge of strength and experience--experience most of his competitors wouldn't have had the luxury of having, since most were not careers, like him.
As he walked up to the stage, Everest stood tall, filled with confidence as his friends, family, and district cheered his name. He would make them proud. He had to. He had no doubt in his mind that in four weeks, he would be back, and the cheering would be even louder.
