This will be the last time I ever talk about Dovewing, since her entire character topics cause problems for everyone.
I am starting to think the only reason they forced Dovewing back with Tigerheart was to finally have a main Shadowclan POV in her kits. She is the only one of Firestar's kin to move clans and have kits in the clan they moved to. And add onto the fact, Dovewing used to be a main character and POV, so her being the only Firestar kin to do this makes sense to give another clan POV in a new arc.
Leafpool wasn't a super main POV, but she still had some POV and also had a cross clan relationship, but she and Crowfeather planned on leaving ALL the clans. Leafpool didn't or couldn't move to Windclan. She was on Firestar kin to not move to another clan. Her kits ended up staying in Thunderclan.
Twig and Violet don't count since they aren't Firestar's kin.
Literally no one else of Firestar's kin has done this to produce a Firestar kin related protag in a new clan.
So you mean if Dovewing had a mate in River, Wind, or Skyclan, she'd move to those clans with her mate and we'd finally get a Firestar kin protag except in a different clan than Thunderclan?
So if Shadowpaw moved to Riverclan and had kits with someone there, we'd get a new series in Riverclan?
This is the same kind of meta that ruined Squirrelflight and Leafpool. The only reason Squirrelflight is magically fertile is to produce new Firestar protag, which was Alderheart. Same is happening to Dovewing. She's forced back with Tigerheart only to move to Shadowclan and finally have a Firestar kin protag in another clan for new POV.

I think you're mostly accurate. Forcing them back together so as to have a POV in another Clan seems likely. However, I think a large part of that decision was just because of the drama it would cause and maybe they were also running out of ideas b/c GOD I hate Tigerheart and Dovewing together. Literally makes no sense. She completely moves on from him to Bumblestripe, only to go right back. Imo, it doesn't even fit her personality to do that.

at least we agree on how much DovexTiger sucks and has rendered both characters OOC, mostly dovewing. dovewing could have grown stronger as a single woman. she could have taken time to move on, but no, tigerheart is shoved back into her face and then she runs away with him? ok. tigerheart's shadow is such garbage anyways.

The Dovewing that started to like Bumblestrip would've never run off with Tigerheart. When I first heard about what happened in TS I was shook. Like her personality just did a 180.

I actually thought this was kinda obvious already since this is still a business and the series has basically become a cash cow at this point, so yeah, this is entirely possible. I don't care much for it though, I'm just glad Dovewing's story is finally over (even though it should've ended in OotS).

I don't care much for it though, I'm just glad Dovewing's story is finally over (even though it should've ended in OotS). she and ivypool deserved to end their arcs in OOTS by being single and growing stronger by being independent. especially dovewing since she was the one with the in ur face love drama :\ what kind of message does it send if dovewing gets back together with a toxic guy, where they had fought and broke up all the time, and weren't truly committed to eachother in the long term? Dovewing should have been a strong independent woman who took her time in moving on and learning how to think for herself and find happiness within herself instead of with other people. All of that has been thrown away by forcing her to get back with Mr. Toxic himself.
