Bouldersplash frowned a bit at that comment confused on what Sprucemask was trying to accomplish "Probably should make sure it is dead before we get too far, wouldn't want to cause a fight" His voice dropped at this point, feeling that talking about death and killing within the camp would not end well. "That aside, because that is the least of my worry, why do you want to smell like that?" His tail flicked a bit back in forth, his confusion apparent on his face.

Shadefang nodded; they could definitely do that after. If it all went well, anyway... She headed toward the entrance and, when they left, began bounding up the tumbling rocks to the top of the mountain. She couldn't help how her paws shook with every step, and her stomach churned the closer they got to the top. She turned and made sure Fawnstep was following behind her, then pulled herself onto high rocks and turned around as Fawnstep came up behind.

A flash of movement caught Littlepoppy's eye, and he noticed Bumblekit silently making her way out of the nursery. He let out a quiet purr of laughter, then flicked his tail lazily. He'd see how far she'd make it out and follow her. Bumblekit was notorious for wanting to escape the camp, so Littlepoppy had to keep a close eye on her. So far, though, she hadn't made an attempt to leave camp yet. He waited for her to leave the nursery, then slowly got to his paws and shook out his pelt.

Chickadeepaw snoozed inside the apprentice's den, ignoring the morning light as it filtered into the den. They weren't used to the early schedule of an apprentice yet and missed snuggling close to Littlepoppy and Magpiepaw. They were still sleeping close to their sister, but it wasn't nearly the same. Chickadeepaw mumbled something incoherent in their sleep, then struck out a hind paw and smacked Magpiepaw in the flank without waking up.

Fawnstep followed close behind, trying to keep her hopes up but they weren't too high to begin with. She sighed to herself when she felt the ground even out to herself and turned to the she-cat, catching her breath. "We are here, Shadefang, what's going on?" She was about to let her speak but she felt her pelt pricking from fear, should she? Could she just tell her she didn't mean it and forget the whole thing even happened?

Bumblekit continued on her way, peeking at the fresh-kill pile for a few moments. It was...something. She couldn't wait to try the prey out for herself but she really wanted to try something new today, something better..she could catch a mouse herself. Yes, that'd prove she was worthy to leave camp by herself to explore. She quickly picked up her pace, beginning to make her way to the entrance but trying to hide from the wandering eyes of the warriors. She, however, didn't notice Littlepoppy hot on her trail.

Shadefang took a seat in front of her and let out a long sigh. "I-I've been thinking about what you told me. During the battle," she began, keeping her voice as steady as possible. There was no turning back now. "I couldn't bring myself to tell you sooner... I was scared of getting close to you." She shook her head and chuckled. "But we're already so close... I shoudn't have been scared. I want to be your mate, too." She met Fawnstep's eyes, enjoying how they glittered in the light like a leaf-fall leaf, and smiled. "I love you."

Scorchfeather was laying between his sisters, stuck between being sleep and awake. He constantly was stuck like this, it was something he couldn't shake from his pelt. He knew that he had duties to this clan, he was safe with this clan, but the worries still plagued him. Somehow, Fogstar had trusted him with mentoring Chickadeepaw, he'd have to take them out sometime today wouldn't he? He slowly lifted his head and nudged Poisonface awake, glad that at least she had an apprentice too. He hoped Snowfrost wasn't jealous of this fact, she'd get her own sometime soon he was sure of it.

Littlepoppy moved outside of the nursery and stopped, watching as Bumblekit sniffed at the fresh-kill. To his surprise, she didn't stop and take a piece, instead continuing to the entrance. She weaved her way through all the warriors, although Littlepoppy could still spot her scrambling paws a tree-length away. He let out a purr and started making his way across the clearing in her direction, trying not to make it look like he was following her.

Bouldersplash tilted his head to the size a bit "I don't think Cederclan is a problem anymore?" His statement came out as pretty much a question. He couldn't think of a reason Cederclan would be back for another battle, they just lost their leader and quite a few cats, so he didn't foresee them coming back soon. "Unless....you know what I'll ask on the way" As much as he would like to ask 'are you planning on going back to the old territory' he really wasn't in the mood to deal with curious cats who managed to overhear them. Shaking his head one more he took a few steps towards the entrance.

Fawnstep was quiet, her fur hot. She...what? She started laughing a bit, out of relief for the confession. "You waited this whole time, dragged me half up a mountain, to tell me that?" She licked Shadefang's cheek quickly, purring loudly. "I love you too, you big old grump." She mewed, pressing herself into her fur. She felt relief in this moment, a great deal of it. The past moon she felt so off but now...it was well worth the wait.

Bumblekit noticed the warriors approaching the entrance and stopped herself, eyes wide. She'd have to wait, but what was her excuse if someone saw her? She carefully pressed against the wall of the clearing, pretending to be playing against the wall by herself. She was growing bored though, this was tiring and mouse-brained. Anyone could see that she could care less about this wall.

Cloudsplash stirred slightly in her nest, then slowly blinked open her tired eyes. Her kits had taken their time falling asleep last night and, despite her best efforts, she couldn't bring herself to sleep until she knew they were resting. Looking down, she noticed that Bumblekit was absent and immediately looked around the den. Noticing Littlepoppy's empty nest, she let out a sigh of relief and wrote it off as Bumblekit playing with the tom in the clearing. Cloudsplash flexed her claws in a feeble attempt to stretch a bit without waking her kits, then finally gave up and lowered her head once more. Once Flintfur wakes up, I'm sure he won't mind watching them for a bit, she decided, gently licking her sons' heads.

Shadefang purred. "We're already halfway up the mountain," she retorted playfully, returning the lick on Fawnstep's cheek. She pressed against the she-cat and felt herself purr louder than she ever had before. She had a mate now... a mate! She never thought she'd get to this moment before, but here she was with the prettiest she-cat in FogClan. She looked out over the treetops as the sun made its way past the horizon. "Now what?" she asked, looking over at Fawnstep.

Littlepoppy paused near the center of the clearing, noticing Bumblekit moving around at the cave wall. She must have been trying to avoid the other warriors' gazes, but Littlepoppy knew every trick in the book at this point. She would be stalling a moment longer before getting out of camp as fast as possible. And he'd be ready to catch up to her and make sure she didn't get into any trouble.

{Flintfur}
Seeing that Mr. Jingles was busy, he quickly grabbed a piece of prey off the pile before running to the nursery with it. He noted it was a small mouse and cursed himself for grabbing such a horrible piece of prey, but it'd have to do for now. He gently made his way inside and placed the mouse in the nest in front of his mate, purring. "Good morning, Cloudsplash. The kits look lively." He commented, he had seen Bumblekit leaving the nursery but he swore Littlepoppy was following so he paid no further mind to her after the fact, a plus parent. {Bumblekit} Bumblekit saw the chance and took it, dashing outside the camp walls in victory. She was about to figure out what way to go when she felt a piece of the rocks slipping out from underneath her, causing her to fall down the side and plummet onto a ledge just a bit further down. She sniffled to herself, crying out loud for Littlepoppy. "LITTLEPOPPPYYYYYYYY" She screamed, hoping the tom would hear her, she knew her parents wouldn't be able to but maybe the tom had left the camp in pursuit of her after all. {Fawnstep} "Well...uh..we could continue our hunting or do something else, it's all up to you, Shadefang. You were the one who chose to leave camp." She gave her a small smirk before gazing out to the sunrise with her, it was true. She had finally found someone for herself after all this time and it felt great, she didn't care what they did, they could go pick ticks off Eldermoon's back for all she cared.

Littlepoppy followed her out of camp, and let out a gasp as she tumbled and landed on a ledge a little way down the mountainside. "I'm coming, Bumblekit!" he called before edging his way down. He didn't leave camp as much as the warriors did, so he wasn't used to maneuvering down to the forest. Thankfully Bumblekit had landed on an open ledge, but he knew the kit wouldn't be able to figure out her way back up. He landed beside her and pulled her close with a paw. "Bumblekit, you can't just leave camp without a warrior," he said softly as he gazed down at her.

Shadefang laughed. "That's true. Let's go hunt a little before Ashpelt hunts us down for patrol," she said. She looked up into the sky to see if there were any hawks or eagles nearby. It was morning, so they'd be on the prowl for mice and birds like they were. "Do you see anything?" she asked, looking back over at Fawnstep.

With the passing moon Palemouse had entrapped herself in the warrior den. Moping around after the passing of her apprentice had led her to become more withdrawn. With a sad sigh she drug herself out of the den. She couldn't help but feel a hint of jealousy as life continued on.As her eyes drifted around camp they ended up settling on Emberpaw. For a few seconds she stared back at the apprentice. It was easy to say the two could relate to each other. Deeming both she-cats were in the same predicament. Emberpaw was without mentor while Palemouse lacked an apprentice. Although it seemed like she was she was waiting on someone.After mustering up some courage Palemouse softly called out to Emberpaw.βErm...Good Morning Emberpaw.β

"Tigerstripe?" Brambleflower called softly as she entered the medicine den, her voice slightly muffled by the mouse she had clamped between her jaws. She wasn't sure where Owltuft or Seedpaw were, but Tigerstripe was still unable to leave the den on account of his recovering bones, so he would most definitely be inside. As if on cue the dark tabby lifted his head and blinked at her with bleary amber eyes, likely just woken up. His face, while still bruised and scarred, was void of swelling now, and if you were to avoid looking at his legs it might seem as though he was back to normal. Brambleflower held her brother's gaze, wanting to do just that. "'m still alive," Tigerstripe grunted with a snort, his whiskers twitching, "but I won't be for long if I have to stay in this nest for another moon." Brambleflower rolled her eyes and did not answer him, instead making her way over and dropping the mouse at his paws. "You broke your legs, you mousebrain," she pointed out dryly, "you can't walk two fox-lengths without collapsing, Owltuft keeps you in here for good reason. You must be the luckiest cat in the Clan - not long ago they didn't think you'd ever walk again." The memory of Seedpaw's whispered confession chilled Brambleflower's bones even now, and the tawny queen shuddered. Whether or not Tigerstripe picked up on this remained a mystery to Brambleflower, as the tabby tom quickly changed the subject. "Will you bring the kits later? I haven't seen them in so long, they must be getting so big." Brambleflower nodded, a small smile making its way onto her face. They were indeed getting big - even at only three moons old Cherrykit and Redkit would be the size of Magpiepaw and Chickadeepaw soon. "I'll bring them later, when Owltuft and Seedpaw are awake," she mewed, turning to duck out of the den. Tigerstripe mewed a goodbye that she returned warmly before she padded back out into the camp.

Kitepaw sat quietly in his nest, his tail curled around his paws. For a moment he debated waking up one of his denmates so he would not have to go out into the camp alone, but he quickly dismissed that idea; his denmates had not spoken to him much since CedarClan's attack. Since I killed Reedclaw. He had tried to speak to Snailpaw on a few occasions, but the silver apprentice had almost always found an excuse to avoid him. He missed his best friend, he missed her more than anybody, and it hurt knowing that she didn't want to speak to him anymore. I wouldn't want to speak to me anymore either, if I was in her position.
He rose to his paws and crept out into the camp, staying close to the walls of the den. He couldn't see Shadefang outside, so he assumed naturally that she was either already out of camp or she was still asleep; his mentor was never usually one to sleep in so it was more likely the former than the latter. He did, however, spot Brambleflower leaving the medicine den. She was probably visiting Tigerstripe, he reasoned; his uncle was in much better shape than he had been after the rockfall, but his hind legs were badly broken and it was common knowledge by now that the medicine cats had not expected him to ever walk again. Emberpaw and Palemouse were also outside, as was the kittypet Mr.Jingles and Darkberry.

Emberpaw almost jumped out of her fur when Palemouse approached. Both her quiet demeanor and voice made it almost impossible for even a cat who was paying attention to notice and she was a bit distracted by other things. After forcing her pounding heart to calm down, she turned her head to Palemouse and gave a smile "Good morning" She replied, trying to offset Palemouse's greeting with a more excited one. It took only a moment for her to re-realize that had lost her apprentice, she hoped that her cheery demeanor wouldn't put her off. She remembered right after they had escaped Cederclan-was it already almost six moons ago?-that the last thing she wanted was to be around someone cheerful, and she remained that way for quite a few moons.

A small smile appeared for a moment when Emberpaw had been startled. Gotta Work on being more louder she thought to herself. Palemouse looked around nervously before settling next to Emberpaw.βI know you should be having an assessment coming up, β she began. Her eyes wandered back down to her paws. Feeling a twinge of sadness Palemouse tried her best to brush it off.βDo you need any tips on passing it?β She asked hoping she could be some type of help to Emberpaw.

Rainkit head popped up when he heard his father's voice. He rolled over to stretch briefly only to notice Bumblekit was long gone from the nest. Seeing his parents were not concerned Rainkit relaxed slightly. Sitting up, he gently prodded Smokekit awake. His head turned to the nursery entrance patiently waiting to give a Bumblekit earful on her latest escapade.

{Bumblekit}
She clinged onto Littlepoppy's leg, looking wide eyed at the surroundings. She couldn't wait to tell her siblings about this spot of camp! It was hugeeee! She purred loudly and bounced up and down in her spot. "Again, Again!" She cried, forgetting her recent terror now. {Fawnstep} Fawnstep narrowed her eyes, searching the sky for something, anything, but so far it seemed lacking. Until she saw a flash, it wasn't big, actually it looked really young, but it was a small eagle searching for something not too far away from them. She poked Shadefang with her tail and nodded to the bird, purring. "Wanna try for that? Then when we get it we should get you back to camp for Kitepaw." She remembered she had to share her mate with the apprentice for now, he needed the training.

Emberpaw tilted her head a bit, she knew she was one of the older apprentices in the den now but it didn't quite register yet that she might be getting closer to becoming a warrior than she originally thought. "I cant...really think of any" She paused a bit, frowning as she tried to think of what she didn't know-which is a lot more difficult than she thought. "I was actually looking to see if anyone was going out for training today, though instead of that" she paused, this shouldn't be an issue as Palemouse did have an apprentice before and it wasn't like she really had an official mentor that wasn't currently trying to heal "could you help me get better at fishing? Its my least favorite way to hunt and I always end up in the river"

Shadefang nodded, gazing up at the young eagle it the sky. βIβm gonna ask Fogstar about letting Snailpaw and Kitepaw battle train together or something,β she said. The two apprentices hadnβt been together very often since the battle, and she hoped they would start getting along together soon. The eagle began swooping closer to the high rocks, and Shadefang padded closer to the center of the rocky clearing. βYou got the hawk last time, so Iβll get this one,β she said to Fawnstep with a wink.
