Shadefang hurried to follow after her, making sure she didn't drop the bird or trip over it. "You got it?" she asked as she carefully maneuvered down the mountainside. But Fawnstep looked sure of herself when she looked back at her, so Shadefang continued on. After a few more moments, the two made it to the camp entrance. The scent of hawk blood was strong here, just as it was at High Rocks. "It was a hawk," she muttered.

"I wonder what happened?" She laid her own hawk down as she sniffed around and tasted the air. It was pungent with the scent of the bird but there was something else else with it, what could it be? She looked to Shadefang. "Do you scent something else with it? I can't really put my paw on it..." She looked inside the camp, should they go ask someone? She really didn't want to bother any of the warriors inside though. "It looks like everyone is safe though." She could hear the sounds of her clanmates walking around and chatting to each other.

Shadefang sniffed at the air again, then felt the fur on her neck start to rise. There was only one cat with nursery scent that was out here recently. "Silverkit!" she hissed in a whisper, before getting her own look inside the camp. The kits seemed to be playing with Silverkit now, and there was a hawk in the fresh-kill pile. "Seems they figured it out," she agreed, looking back at Fawnstep. "We can put your hawk in there so you're not dragging it around the forest."

She made her way into the camp and towards the fresh-kill pile. She sat it down on top and let out a small purr of pride. She turned and walked back to Shadefang before flicking her tail on her shoulder. "I could have carried it through the whole forest if I had wanted to." She bragged, trying to make her seem stronger by bunching up her muscles. "Where do you want to go hunting? Any part of the territory is good for me!"

She followed after him quickly, she loved training. It was her favorite part. She had only been in one battle though. It wasn't really a fight, she just chased of a kittypet. She turned her attention back to Ice'Breeze and they headed towards the training grounds.

"Alright, let's get training," Icebreeze meowed when they reached the training grounds. He turned around to face his apprentice. "Since you have already learned more basic battle tactics, today I would like to put more focus on more advanced, but harder hitting moves. One of these moves is the Belly Rake, which I have discussed a little bit before with you," he moved to get in a battle stance, yet keeping his claws sheathed for training, gesturing Jaypaw to show him what she has learned.

Hmm I would say next moon, right when Flint get's back! Then maybe Cedar'Clan could hold him captive because they found him?))

{ I don't think they would, Cedarclan is not too far away but they wouldn't come across him unless they are in the forest themselves. Then they'd probably kill him instead of holding him captive because Ravenstar is p angry. }

Shadefang smiled at Fawnstep. "I'm sure you could," she teased, although she fully believed it. Then she flicked her tail tip thoughtfully, looking back into the forest. "We'll go to Twin Trees," she said. It was always abundant with prey, and the best place they found to hunt so far. She started walking into the forest and added with a laugh, "I'll have to hunt twice as much now to make up for that hawk."

She followed in step beside the she-cat, letting out a purr. "I'm sure you can do it, Shadefang. If you do, then I think that deserves the rest of evening to rest though." She picked up her speed a bit, knowing the way to the twin trees pretty well. She wanted to catch a few more pieces, they had more mouths to feed after all. "What do you think of the new kits?" She asked, trying to make some small talk with her while they walked. She didn't know what else to speak about besides the new bundles of fur they had in the nursery. She hoped they wouldn't be too much trouble in the upcoming moons.

{Ravenstar would want to do a surprise attack, he wouldn't wait and watch he'd just go in and attack. He's thinks of himself as Starclan themselves so I picture him thinking he could take out the clan without any preparation. }

Shadefang twitched her whiskers. "After we take our apprentices out, anyway," she said, suddenly remembering the rest of the instruction Ashpelt gave them. The she-cat hurried along with Fawnstep so they could get to the clearing faster. "They haven't caused too much trouble yet, surprisingly," she said as she looked over at Fawnstep. The newer kits came to mind, and she paused a moment. Their father still hadn't returned. "The little ones are pretty cute."

She scrunched up her face in mock disbelief. "Kits, cute? I don't know about that." She rolled her eyes, laughing at her own comment. She knew they were cute but she could only see them as little troublemakers right now. "Our apprentices, yes I almost forgot. How about we catch at least one or two more pieces of prey and head back? I was wanting to teach Willowpaw a bit more about fighting on the mountainside. Do you think Kitepaw will be up for the task? I don't think they have mountains back in Cedarclan.." She tried to picture the former clan's territory based on what she had been told but it was difficult for her.

Palemouse awoke to her belly rumbling.She quickly rose to her paws slipping out the warrior den. She padded across the clearing. Making a beeline for the fresh-kill pile. She sat on her haunches pawing through the pile being rather picky.
Good day folks))

(Hey guys my exams start on Monday, so I doubt I'll be online very much if at all for at very least the first week of the exams. It calms down after the first two weeks because I have a week off and then exams every other day or so, so I'll likely be back on properly in the last week of the exam period. Just wanted to let you guys know! ^^)

Shadefang laughed with Fawnstep, then gave her a shake of her head. "No, it was just a forest. But I think he'll be up to it," she said, her chest filling with pride a moment at her apprentice. He had already adjusted well to the territory, although they hadn't spent much time up the mountains. "He'll have to be up to it sooner or later, I guess." Shadefang then realized they had well reached the twin trees; she'd been distracted talking to Fawnstep. She lifted up her muzzle to sniff the air, and the scent of so many forest rodents hit her nose. However, one seemed to be close enough. "I think I got something," she whispered before moving away from the she-cat.

Fawnstep watched her for a few heartbeats for going off in search of her own prey. The only scent she could smell was the one Shadefang was already after. She let out a short hmm as she looked up to the trees. If she climbed up them, she could possibly catch something up above. She crouched down and leaped upwards, digging her claws into the bark. She shimmied her way up to the first branch and let out a sigh of relief. It shook slightly under her weight but it soon steadied itself. She looked over to the twin trees that were a bit of a distance away. No prey would be in those trees..so she climbed up a bit higher, listening for the chirp of birds.
{ Is this a good time to mention Fawnstep cannot climb down from trees very well haha }

Shadefang crept toward the scent as it got stronger, then darted behind a bush. There was a squirrel intently nibbling on a nut, not paying attention to its surroundings. She crouched down and padded toward the sound, and she kept her pawsteps as light as possible and her scent downwind. Once the squirrel was in range, she gathered her haunches and leaped, slamming her claws on it. The squirrel didn't even know what was coming!

Fawnstep crept along the branch, seeing a bird not too far off. She made the mistake to jump at it, she missed it. She felt the branch shake beneath her when she landed and she lost her balance, tumbling down. She scrambled to grab a hold of the branch below it, her front legs aching as she lifted herself up. Her fur very short fur was standing on end as she caught her breath. She took a chance to look below but the ground seemed to be moving beneath her. She knew better than to go climbing up a tree but thanks to her wanting to impress a certain fluffy she-cat she had climbed up here.
{Also! We reached 1,000 post a lil while ago I'm so proud ; w ; }
