Blackpaw got rather close to the rabbit before spooking it, and the rabbit took of running. Determined not to let it get away Blackpaw sprinted after the rabbit, quickly catching up to it and delivering a killing bite.

"You really think so?" meowed Blackpaw as he lay the rabbit at his paws, "If I wasn't fast it would have gotten away."

Bramblestorm looked down at the kit. "It's fine," he meowed, his mind more set on his and Snowfeather's future kits.
Mossheart nodded, "A rabbit is fast, and that's why a cat must be faster, we'll be doing a lot of training to build up your speed." |

"Ok," meowed Blackpaw excitedly. In SunClan he had been one of the faster cat's in the clan even as an apprentice. The young tom was starting to realize that speed would actually be more useful here.

Mossheart purred and pointed to a rabbit just across the field. She dropped into a crouch, her belly fur brushing the ground, she stalked a little foward until the rabbit turned. She launched into the air and landed behind the prey, the rabbit screeched and immediately reacted by fleeing. Mossheart chased after the rabbit and as she closed up in the rabbit she used her jaws and grabbed it by the tail and yanked it between her paws. |
