Shadowstar's Life, but the preview for Redtail's Debt has me really hyped for that one too.

RD and SL. I'll still read TC if only to finally get into Tawnypelt's head, but I'm still disappointed that it isn't set when she's younger. Hopefully it'll have flashbacks, but I doubt it.

My boy Redtail. I could care less about Shadowstar or Tawnypelt.

I really liked the clear emotion between Redpaw and his sister Willowpaw! It made me curious to see if I recalled how the characters acted incorrectly. Despite liking warriors, I haven't read it in years, and I now feel the characters don't have much... life, I guess? Like I don't recall them being very emotionally involved with friends and kin. I want to see if the other books are like that or if it's just my brain forgetting things.

I haven't read The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, and Power Of Three in about... 3-5 years ago. I kind of want to re-read them, especially The New Prophecy, but I never re-read before and am kind of nervous about doing it. I am curious to see how reading it would feel years later reading it again, especially since I matured a lot since then.

Did anyone else notice that Sparrowpelt said "years" in the Path of a Warrior sample?

Yep...
And the writing style has changed too. Not that I'm complaining, but the writing has a more quirky? more emotional? vibe to it even though we have the same authors. It's an improvement from the bland and emotionless writing we've had for years now, but it feels like a lot is changing. It's kind of weird.

I noticed the year thing! I was a bit surprised. cx
@ Hazel I have wanted to reread it for awhile since it's actually been over 10 years since I read the first series in like... 2009 or so? Wow... ok thinking about it that way I forgot how long it has been.
Same thoughts though! I actually just read only the first few chapters of the book so far; I think my main change is for some reason the stigmatization against kittypets really bothers me? It's my least favorite part of the warriors lore. It doesn't drive me crazy but... idk I don't like it. cx
Actually in 'Into The Wild' one of the characters said year... honestly I didn't think the warriors ever used that word so I'm surprised it was said that early.

I'm not sure if the authors had it completely fleshed out in the first book. I always felt it was like a "let's see how this goes" kind of book, if that makes any sense.

Did anyone else notice that Sparrowpelt said "years" in the Path of a Warrior sample? It actually wouldn't be the first time they used years. It was used once in ItW in the prologue, and again in CP.

Oh. My bad, then. I'm just curious on why they don't use it more.

I’m excited for everything in Path of a Warrior! There’s something fun about going back into the past of Warriors instead of delving into new material. I’m happy the series is still going, though!

I don't really think it's childish. I actually prefer it to the old one, it's just that it seemed a bit different from the monotone writing we've had up until AVOS.

Yeah, the whole thing with the long paragraphs on the shape of the mountain crevices or how the shades of the leaves looked in the sunlight bored me to death. Every book was 80% description, 20% dialogue.

I think that's just on the new Erin writing the novellas, though I can def. see how her writing style differentiates from the other two now that it's brought up. I really like it though.

At least it has changed, there is more dialogue and character relations now, so at least it's improving a lot! It only took them forever to realize their mistake.
