(Oh of course! Feel free to claim a cat! But you if you want to create a cat totally feel free! When making one of your own, you can make a loner/kitty pet that will get taken in by the clan, or you can make a cat that is releated with cats here! I would basically just insert them into the family tree ^w^ As for paying, don’t worry! It’s my treat, but it’s also why I can only allow one per joined, otherwise I would be broke lol!)

Umberlee softened their discussion by bringing up something else, not wanting to dampen the mood before they even got to hunting. She had gotten some juicy details about him though, she’d have to watch him closely when they entered the grotto to see if there was still some trace of squeamishness. They joked and laughed, chatting lightly about their duties, dreams, aspirations, until they reached the mouth of the cave. The cavern itself was easy to miss if you didn’t know where you were looking, being tucked behind a thick fan of conifer trees, and covered up by large boulders. But there was a small gap, though still big enough to fit even the largest warrior, squeezing through there opened one up to the hollowed out magma chamber. Unberlee squeezed in first, the floor under paw turning from hard pine needles, to smooth, cold stone. For a moment she wasn’t in complete darkness, blinking and squinting until her eyes adjusted to the inky blackness. The grotto was a scary place for sure, mainly because of how much was unknown about it. She still couldn’t believe that no one really knew what was at the end of the tunnel. She stared down the long corridor, her fur prickling at the thought... But, she had to stomach her fear, after all, the grotto was an excellent source of prey. The most plentiful being the bats, even if they were hard to catch. Umberlee looked up the ceiling, and sure enough, even this close to the entrance, she could see at least 30 small, furry bodies hanging upside down. They were all asleep, only one or two occasionally stretching open their large red eyes to peer down at her before closing them again. “Sure you’re not still a liiiittle afraid?” She playfully teased, looking back to her mate to see him squeezing into the cave himself. In the dark his fur nearly completely melded into the dark, leaving only the bright markings across his coat.

{Black Sea}
He rolled his eyes, giving her a gentle nudge with his shoulders at her teasing. "Not as much as you might be when I somehow manage to accidentally startle all the bats in this cave." He whispered in her ear, trying to keep his voice low so they bats wouldn't already begin awaking on them. He moved past her for a moment, carefully entering deeper into the grotto. He stopped to taste the air, sure enough the taste of bat hit him and he tried to even his breathing. Truth be told, no he wasn't fully over his fear of the bats but he could at least stand them when they weren't fluttering around like crazy around the place. He tried to spy any that might be hanging low, hoping he could catch one to prove to himself he was indeed the hunter not the hunted. He saw a few not too far away from him, their eyes closed as though they were in a deep slumber. That was always so strange, how they fall asleep at this time but wake up in the night. He steadied himself, questioning how he would go about getting the bat.

Umberlee giggled quietly, silently trotting after him, making sure to keep her tail up off the ground so it wouldn’t drag. She tasted the air around them, it was always tricky to find any other scent besides bat, but moles were also common here, and even mice sometimes. She slowed to a stop when Black Sea had paused, looking confused for a moment before she noticed the bats, hanging where the ceiling had curved down, not too far from the ground, but still several fox lengths worth of leap. The salmon shecat contemplated, looking to the walls of the cave around them. Maybe they could get enough of a foot hold to climb a little higher, and then leap? She stalked towards the wall, careful not to kick up any pebbles. Umberlee placed a paw on the wall, but it was very smooth, she unsheathes her claws to try to get a hold, but it scraped right down, making a loud screech as it did...

{Black Sea}
With the loud screech, the bats flew down sending the warrior to jump over to his mate, knocking her down and pressing her to the floor with his stomach as though he was shielding her from the bats were actually just fluttering above like mad, not attacking them. He pressed his head down and tried to hide his face in her neck fur, breathing a bit heavily. A bat grazed his back in it's flight and he let out a low whimper, like a kit as he tried to keep up his tough cat act. He spared a glance up, then quickly ducked his head back down when he saw the amount of bats they had disturbed. He fur was bristling now and his heart was hammering in his chest, hoping they would stop soon. "I, uh, think we should try a different spot!" He called to her below him, jerking his head back upright again. The bats were now flying higher and he saw a perfect time to escape but he couldn't move.

(Sorry for the late response! Had to get to bed for work. Running a mail route... *sucks* XD)
Umberlee’s own heart lifted in her chest, alarm making her temporarily numb. She shut her eyes tight as Black Sea’s body collided with hers and he held her down low. She blinked open her eyes to look up at the torrent of wings tearing through the air, the bats chittering as they ripped through the air. The sound of thousands of beating wings was almost deafening. Umberlee looked to her mate to make sure he was okay, and her heart sunk when she saw the terror in his eyes. She hugged him close, pressing her head into his neck fur in turn, her tail tightening around his. “It’s okay, it’s okay. They won’t hurt you.” She whispered beside his ear. The only real feasible option was to wait out the assault. The two embraced each other tightly, lowered to the ground as low as they could, but even still the occasional foot of a bat would scrape against their fur. Eventually however, the rumbling in the cave stopped, and it seemed the last of the bats had ran. There was a line straggler who screeched after his friends, then he disappeared out of the mouth of the cave. For a moment neither of them moved, the only sound being their heavy panting. “Hah-hah... H-Hey, I was the only who s-startled them all.” She added in a small, humorous voice.

{You're okay but I can only imagine, is it biking? I'm sorry I just woke up, my husband works weird hours so I usually pull 24 hour days to see him sometimes}
When the bats stopped moving around, he slowly moved away from being on top of her. His chest was heaving and he looked like he just ran around the whole camp territory twice, he gave her a weak smile and licked her cheek. "See? Totally not scared still." The tom may have been quick to anger, but he couldn't find it in his heart to be angry with his mate for setting the bats off. She couldn't have meant to, right? "It's okay, but uhm perhaps the grotta wasn't the best of plans." He chuckled, still trying to regain his breath for himself.

Umberlee purred softly, giving him a gentle lick on the cheek in return, smiling at him apologetically. "Hey I don't blame you after that! We had bats on the farm, but not that many... That was like a tiny thunder storm." The hackles that had raised along her shoulders and back finally settled as she looked around the cave. How in the world did anyone hunt here...? Maybe they were all just really good at jumping. "I'm really, really sorry for messing that up..." She looked back to Black Sea, or rather, the hovering markings on his pelt, and frowned. "But, maybe we could go to the swamp? I think it's nearby, right?" She looked back to the mouth of the tunnel that was now a dot of light in the distance. Umberlee also wasn't too familiar with the swamp land, though, to be fair, she was really only comfortable with the farm where she had lived her whole life. She knew that place like the back of her paw, but she wanted to learn and adapt to the rest of the territory. Even the murky, muddy, marsh lands.

"Yes, we could try there." He began to make his way to the mouth of the cave on his shaky legs. Despite the way his legs were acting, he kept his head up. When they finally had left the darkness to the now brightening morning, he let out a breath of relief and seemed to calm a great deal. "We might need to keep our hunting short, the day is beginning and who knows if Distant Star may need us today." He gently placed his tail over Umberlee's shoulders and led the way to the swamp, taking in the rising sun. "I will never get over that. The beauty of it all." He nodded to the the colors painting the sky now, hues of light orange, yellow and blue.

Umberlee was thrilled to be out of the cave, now that she was in the sun her fur could finally lay flat. She looked to her mate with wide eyes as he commented on the beauty, turning her head up to the sky. The horizon was an oil canvas of colors... “It really is...” She purred. The molly had spent so much of her life outside that she supposed she had become numb to the beauty of it all, but taking moments like this to reflect, it made her feel humbled. Sometimes she took for granted the life she had... Unfortunetly, the serene setting did not last long. The tree line around them began to diminish as they entered the marsh land, the bouncy green grass under paw soon became soaked, and then came the mud. Strands of grass stood poking up out of the mud, a testiment that this plant was truly the most hardy of them all. Trees were now mere dots on the land scape, the conifers now replaces with the downward leaves of weeping willows. In a way, the marsh land was also beautiful... But, not really. Umberlee grumbled, whining as her paws squelched through the big, getting her salmon fur all dirty. “Aug! CloudClan actually used to March through this stuff all the time?” She complained, looking around at the seemingly barren land scape. “What is there to even catch here?” To an inexperienced eye, this place seemed to do nothing but occupy blank, unfavorable land. But, to someone who knew it, they would find this place was teeming with life. Frogs, for one were a very common form of prey, and relatively easy to catch if you were quick on your feet. Birds were in no shorter supply, many small ones liked to take refuge in the willows. But the best catch one could get here? The herons, and egrets. These birds were very large, and seemingly very dangerous. They were so big that it took more than just one cat to take down, and an apprentince would have no hope. They weren’t exactly rare, but coordinating an attack to take one down was difficult. “I mean, I feel like I’m going to sink in this!” Umberlee sounded like a difficult kit, throwing a bit of a fit as she trudged through the mud.

{Black Sea} He laughed and gently moved her head to view a bird on the other side of the swamp, unaware of them in it's own pursuit of food. Then he nodded to the frogs that were hiding not too far away. "Don't worry about sinking in, you shouldn't." He hummed, teasing her as a sort of revenge for earlier. "I've never heard of a warrior sinking in and drowning at least." He stepped one paw into the mud then retracted it, now coated in mud. He gave Umberlee an impish smile before giving his paw a thorough shake, splattering mud everywhere including her. He was really just trying to lighten her mood before they hunted but he heard the croak of a frog and he moved his head to try and view it. It wouldn't be much, but it was better than nothing. He quickly ran off in pursuit of it and returned with a decent sized frog, big enough for at least maybe an apprentice or kit to enjoy. {Sorry I've been busy busy! I shouldn't be this weekend though} {Spider| In Nursery } The kit woke up and looked around, trying to figure what time of the day it was. Is it feeding time? They asked themselves, their belly already full. The nursery den let in let from all sides, hitting the cats inside with it. Spider scooted in closer to their parent, tucking their paws underneath their chest. The soft brown fluffy kit let out loud mews, trying to wake some cat in the nursery up. "Wake up, it's morning!" The kit cried out, heart beginning to race as the shadows in the corner of the den formed into giant evil cats in their mind.

Finally, the two were able to get in some hunting! Umberlee beamed to her mate as he trotted back with a frog clamped in his jaws. She didn’t think she’d ever had a frog... By the look of them, they probably tasted slimy and salty, but someone had to have a pallet for that, right? “Great catch!” She purred, pressing her forehead against his shoulder lovingly. The salmon colored molly made sure to keep her long tail up off the ground as she looked around in search for her own prey. She spotted a red bellied robin resting on the bough of a willow tree, preening it’s feathers blissfully. Umberlee trudged through the bog, sinking her claws into the bark of the tree and silently hauling herself up. She kept her eyes pinned on the bird, knowing that any noise she could make would scare them away. Her scent was thankfully down wind, if Umberlee did this right a catch was almost assured. She made sure not to climb into the same bough as the bird, knowing that her weight would shift the branch and alert it. Her body slid into a branch right below it, she crept forward until she was close enough to pounce, and with clean execution she sunk her claws into the bird, and quickly killed it so it would suffer as little as possible. Thrilled with her catch, Umberlee hopped off the tree and bounded back to Black Sea, a cocky glint in her eye.
Wing was fast asleep, pressed into the stomach of their parents belly, his body sprawled over that of his siblings. When he heard the smaller, squeakier voice of his den mate however, his eyes shot open and he was instantly surged with energy. Almost immediately it was like he had been awake for an hour already, and ready to move. He rolled off of Dizzy and pushed to his paws, giving his fluffy, thick fur a shake and bouncing towards Spider. Spider was much younger than he was, something Wing was thrilled about because everyone was so much bigger then HIM, that it felt nice to be big to someone else. “Finally!!!” Wing bat his paws against the ground, crouching into a playful position in front of Spider. “Did your mama finally let you walk around!?” He mewled. Wing had wanted to play with Spider and Web before, but was turned down, saying that the kits were too young to play with him yet. But he was tired of waiting!

Black Sea chuckled softly, calling her a show off underneath his breath as he made his way past her. He brought his tail underneath her chin and lightly tickled her, still laughing as he went off in search of something to one up her own catch. He didn't spy anything immediately, instead all he saw was the bleakness of the swamp and the scent of it too. He refused to go back now though, he had to catch something better than her bird. He went further in, trudging through the mud now and letting it pull on his long fur. He felt the weight of it, ignoring it as he trekked further into the swamp in pursuit of something. Then he saw it, a fat bird standing not too far from off from the mud where he was, pecking at the ground. It was rather large, way bigger than he was, and would certainly be out of his range of a catch. He knew that catching it would be next to impossible but his own stubborn ways clouded his rational side, he crept up on the bird and lunged forward. It flapped it's wings, not even bothering to fly away, stepping a few feet back as the tom fell flat on his face from the weight of the mud on his fur. He groaned, utterly embarrassed now. The gray and black bird gave him a quick, soft peck on the side before tilting it's head to the side and sauntering off, deeming him not worthy of eating.
{Spider} Spider hid their face under their den mates quick questions. They didn't mean to wake the tom kit! Just their parent. "I-I guess I can walk around..." They began, looking anxiously between their parent and the fluffy pink tom. "Wh-What were you thinking about doing? I hope it's not something crazy. Mama wouldn't want me to go running around the whole camp." The brown fluffy kit steadied themselves on shaky paws, finally getting up. They had been the last of the litter to open their eyes, the last to walk, the last to do everything. For once, they might be the first to do something. "We could maybe go see what the elders are doing? That sounds safe." They suggested, looking out of the den to the camp, hoping Rotted Leaves or Bracken Splinter might be awake right now to talk to them.

Poor... Poor Black Sea. Umberlee had seen the whole thing, her ears perked up as she heard him pounce on the bird, before flinching back when she saw him critically fail, and fumble into the mud. The fat heron gave a squawk and shuffled away, only a bit of it's feathers ruffled from the encounter. Umberlee trotted towards her mate, standing in front of him, his face not daring to lift from the mud just yet. "Hey! You were just warming up, gotta get that birds expectations set real low before you WOW 'em!' She chirped cheerfully, lowering her head to give her mate a gentle lick to the back of the head. "Come on, get up out of the mud, it makes you look bad." Umberlee teased.
The elders? Jeez, this kid didn't know what fun was. The fluffy pink tom rested back on his haunches and groaned to the ceiling, thumping his short tail on the ground in a sign of frustration. He had only gone to see the two stinky elders at least like... Well at least more times than he could count! And he could count very high, he liked to believe. But, this was Spider's first time out of the den, right? He should warm them up first, before jumping into the real fun stuff! With renewed enthusiasm, Wing bounced around the smaller brown kit. "Well, okay! We can go stop by and side hi to them I guess! This is your first time out, right? Stick by me, there's a lot of big scary guys out there, but I know how to get around 'em." The fluffy tom boasted with his chest puffed out. Yeah, he was practically a master at being a big kid, he was like a warrior, trapped in a kits body.

{Black Sea}
He grunted, still not lifting his head as he thought of ways to let the ground suck him up. His ears were burning with embarrassment right now and his body ached from his fall. The tom adjust himself, slowly drawing a paw forward to brace himself so he could get up. Instead though, he just turned his head over to reveal it covered in mud, slowly trickling down. "I wasn't warming up, I was just..." His mind raced for an answer, trying to think of something, anything to hide his humiliation. "I was scaring it away before it scared off all the frogs around here, yep that's it!" He groaned as he finally brought himself to the sitting position, his usually black and white pelt now coated a dark brown. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to help me clean all of this off, would you?" He sheepishly joked, for once out of his comfort zone. "We should maybe soak me in the water before returning to camp, that way I don't scare the healers or kits into thinking a mud monster is attacking camp." {Spider} Spider's fur bristled at the thought of big scary cats waiting for them beyond their den. "Mama said there was only clanmates out there, not big bad guys!" They whined, diving behind Wing as though they were under attack right now. "We are heading straight for the elder's den right? You won't leave me alone to be attacked by the big baddies?" The brown tabby kit mewed quietly, trying to scuffle underneath Wing but failing miserably. "Mama would sure miss me if I didn't come back.."

(Of course that would be perfectly fine! ^w^ Lemme go change that for you.)
Umberlee purred, mewling with amusement at the thought of Black Sea wobbling into camp, caked in several layers of mud. The kits back at camp really would think he was some kind of monster. She went in to nuzzle his cheek lovingly, but shyly retracted at the last second, she didn't want to get herself needlessly filthy as well. It was already going to take long enough to clean the tom's long fur. "Of course not." Umberlee purred, nudging him back towards where they had left their prey. They had already done a good job for today, morning hunting patrols hadn't even been sent out yet. "Come on, let's clean you up outside this bog. I'm tired of walking through of through mud." She playfully slapped his behind with her tail to get him up on all fours.
Wing peeked down at the tom attempting to cower bellow him, part of him felt proud for being the most powerful kitten here! The other part felt a little bad for making him so scared. But, the best of both worlds would be for; "Don't worry! I'll fight them back for us. Those big nasty warriors are so scared of me, that they flee every time I come stomping out of the den!" He rose his voice to purposefully make himself sound larger and more intimating than his tiny [ink body would lead one to believe. He carried this facade as he marched out to the entrance of the den, now sunlight streamed in through the make shift windows and grand entrance. The outside world was so... Big. To the kits, the small island the clan made their camp on must have felt like the whole territory! And there they were... Giant, massive warriors, all congregating out of the warriors den, and huddled around eating prey. Wing puffed out his chest and took the first steps outside.

He followed her, feeling the extra weight of the mud on his fur. He let out a small sigh, questioning how far the walk would be to the closest body of water for them. "Honestly, I guess I can say I'm somewhat glad that we got Appleclan territory too, because I don't think I can stand coming back here for a while." He was trying to make light of what had happened but he was still quite bitter. He could feel some of the mud hardening around his face and he made a futile attempt to wipe it off with his paw but all he managed to do was wipe more across his muzzle. He went cross eyed, just for a moment, to glare at the new mud on his muzzle, before staring ahead. "I can carry my frog, it will just need to bathe with me in the water before we reach camp I think." He picked up his frog gently, trying to avoid any mud hitting it but failing at that. I must look pitiful right now, nothing like the strong warrior I really am. {Spider} When the light hit Spider, his eyes grew wide and he squealed, scrambling behind Wing. He peaked out from behind him, settling his eyes on the vast land before the small kit. He knew the clan had a sizable camp, but never this big! In his mind, the cats looked big enough to squash him underneath their paws, though that was far from the truth. "Are they friendly? They're our clanmates, aren't they?" He asked the pink kit, tearing his big eyes off the cats to him. "I didn't know there was so many or that they were so big!" He had an idea before how big the cats of the camp were, there were queens of course, but these cats had more muscles to them.

Umberlee gently picked up her robin, and together the two of them slowly trudged until their had reached the edge of the swamp. Hauling themselves back up on dry land felt like a fish coming out of water, any longer in there and Umberlee was sure her paws were going to become webbed. Luckily, there were several ponds and small streams close by, it didn't take long walking until they found a small creek. The salmon molly trotted forward, gently dipping her paw into it to test the waters, but it was freakishly cold. "Hah! Well... If you weren't already wide awake, you will be soon." She murmured while shaking her paw clean. It wasn't only Black Sea who had to go in there though... Umberlee might not have fallen flat on her face, but her smaller body was still in there, so the mud was almost up to her haunches.
Wing took pride in the fact that he had memorized some of the faces here already! He glanced back to Spider, who still hadn't strayed far from the nursery's entrance. He smiled and nodded eagerly. "Yeah! They're our clan mates, look;" He bounded back to Spider and sat down beside him, using his paw to point out one of the cats in the clan. A fluffy black cat with white swirls on their fur. "That's Frail Sneeze! they're the healer, which mama says is super important. Like, they're the most connected with our ancestors, and they know what to do if you get hurt!" He quickly scoped out the next cat that he knew, pointing to a dirty brownish-green cat laying flat on the ground, dozing outside the warrior cats den. "And that's Smoking Leaf! They're a warrior, which is what *I'M* gonna be when I grow up!" Wing puffed out his fluffy pink chest. He then moved his paw to one more cat, a light blonde tabby stripped cat. "And that's Cool Cucumber! They're an apprentice, which is what we're gonna be soon! When you become an apprentice, you get your true name!" Wing bounded back into the sunlight outside of the nursery and struck a pose, the sun glinting off his fur magnificently. "My name's gonna be SUPER COOL! Like! Like! EXPLODING WING! OR! Or... or... uh..." The fluffy tom deflated when he realized he hadn't really day dreamed any other name than the extremely cool 'exploding wing'.

{Black Sea}
He stared at the stream for a moment, glancing over at her and taking a deep breath. "Well, I guess the best way to go about this is to just wade in..then take a plunge right?" He took a timid paw step forward. As soon as his first paw made contact with the water, he felt his teeth clamp down on the frog still hanging limply in his jaw. He quickly dropped it down into the creak and tossed it back onto the dry land. "I-I never w-want t-to go h-hunting t-there a-a-again" He stuttered, bracing himself as he dove into the water. When his whole body made contact, he felt his muscles tighten up. For a heartbeat, panic settled in but he relaxed his body and scraped at the ground below, turning himself around. He eventually crawled back to the shore, a soaking mess now. He looked like a sodden rat, a muscular sodden rat, but still a rat. He caught her eyes and smirked "I look better, right?" {Spider} Spider took in all of this information before glancing at Wing with a quizzical look. "Escploding Wing? That makes it sound like you escploded" He couldn't quite pronounce exploding right, but he was still pretty close in his own mind. "Which sounds like a not very good warrior." He tried to muffle a laugh, turning his eyes away from Wing. "I think you should be Proud Wing with how much you pride you have in yourself!" He teased, warming up to the tom.
{Also I got Livid Storm's picture btw, I don't know if you got it too ^^; }

(Oh yeah! I just added it while you were writing that post I think. c: He looks so good!! ;;w;; )
Umberlee had plunged in with her mate, hissing as she flopped in, almost immediately hauling herself back out again. She hated water. She hated water. She hated it. The shecat already looked small, but having very thick fur to make herself look larger, but somehow she looked even smaller when she was wet. She flopped onto the land again, shivering, an annoyed grimace on her face. She didn't get it - that place seemed like nothing but trouble! She could definitely agree with Black Sea to never go hunting there again. Umberlee looked to her mate, a laugh getting stuck half in her nose as she looked at the way his fur hung off him like a mop. "I've never seen you look so good!" She joked, padding towards him and playfully licking his nose. "If you had come to me that first day looking like this I would have said we should be mates that very day!" She laughed warmly and set her paw on his shoulder, giving his fur a rough lick. It was going to take a while to get them both clean, but it was just more time she could spend with him... Over all, she thought it was a pretty amazing morning so far.
Wing's previously deflated chest rose again when Spider stoked the flame of his ego, even if it was meant to be in a teasing way. He was RIGHT! He did have pride in himself, because he was destined for greatness, and Proud Wing didn't sound too bad! "Oh yeah? Well I bet your name's gonna be Scaredy Spider!" He teased, jumping into a play crouch again and wiggling his tail back and fourth. "Come on slow poke! Let's go see the elders!"

{Black Sea}
He smiled at her, licking the top of her head. "I'll start jumping into water more often then, given it's not that cold!" He examined her and took in her own small frame, chuckling to himself. "We should head back now, I think Distant Star will let us settle down for a bit and clean ourselves off." The tom scooped up his frog and began to make his way back to camp, stopping to glance over his shoulder at her. He flicked his heavy tail to gesture for her to walk beside him "I'm glad we took this little adventure, even if we were just going hunting and now we are both stinking of creak water." {Spider} The kit narrowed his eyes at the name suggestion, wondering if it was true. "Spiders are Scary though, so you have a point. Which way is the elder's den again? I've never been out here.." He tried to spot any frail older cats, but his senses were still a tad overloaded by the several cats in the clearing. He pressed himself to Wing's side, even though the kit was just teasing him he felt close to him due to the fact he was the only cat besides maybe his other parent he truly knew out in the camp.
