Yeah yeah, of course! Mana and health will play a part. I have to agree that mana will be much more key in a rp. What are your ideas on the items? Since there won't be much farming since once a boss is taken down it's down for good, but I still like the idea of having some items for rewards and maybe having them be important in a few side quests. If we decide to do that.

Hmm, like I said I am willing to keep a log or something if it comes to that cause who knows. Might prove useful at some point not, but anyway I'm in agreement with not much farming but I do think that the Kraken should stay, cause he basically serves as practice for less experienced wizards but maybe he can have more importance or something idk. But more important bosses definitely yeah on staying down once they're done. Tbh I think maybe we can make up our own items for the sake of making it easy and not digging around a wiki? So we can make our own benefits and perks or whatever but how that's done can be up to you. And maybe, like you said, some items or clothes are important for certain characters or necessary to continue the plot like a key or whatever cause of some sort of magic.

Hm, yeah! My main issue really just comes down to, if we limit the items everyone might have the same ones and it could get boring and if we don't limit it there will be too many. You idea of people making their own could potentially be good, but with how the items are limited based on levels we also run into that problem. People would constantly have to be changing them haha. If we let people make their own we'd also have to keep on eye on them so no one got too over powered. Which is totally doable of course.

Maybe instead of items we can do enchantments? Like in the game? Like when they reach a certain tier or defeat a certain boss the reward is a perk or enchantment or whatever. And maybe only a certain amount of enchantments can be had at a time. And one of us can keep a log or whatever idk. That would still keep the idea of items but without all the hassle of sorting actual materials out idk x3

Ooo that could work. Kinda like BOTW, if you've ever played that. Your clothing gets upgraded instead of having to get a whole new outfit.

Ooh, I like that. And btw, a new question. Space did suggest keeping wands, but can we alter that to just be vessels of magic? Like in the game some wizards use a staff, or a sword, etc. My bear oc uses a harp so yeah x3 And those can be upgraded like the clothing? Cause I like that idea you suggested about same clothing, different perks as we go.

Eek, a lyre not a harp, harp came to mind first lol cause lyres are basically little harps, but anyway yeah she uses that and I'd like her to keep it x3

When I think of wands I just think of everything haha, so yeah! You can have just about anything that acts as a wand. Of course the spell it provides will be upgraded as your character levels up and gets stronger.

Alright, cool. So, are we gonna have everyone start out as beginners or? I think it would be better to let them start with some experience cause to start from square one would take forever to catch up?

Well I kinda want everyone to start out at the same level and be on the same page. Just so one character can't go ahead and defeat all the bosses and leave nothing for lower leveled characters. I was thinking of starting pretty much at square one, just so we can set up the basics for people who might not have played before, or don't remember the story line. Plus starting out as new students could be interesting. But if you guys don't want that we can discuss other options!

Hmm I think if you have everything explained in info and rules new members can look over then it would be fine to give them a little more progress cause if you have members who have played they might not have as much fun starting right from the beginning cause I'll admit I don't like that idea too much cause it's like a gigantic reset button. Maybe dont allow characters to start out particularly strong or anything like that, but maybe not square one? Perhaps a sort of getting the hang of it stage idk x3

I see where you're coming from, but just from a rp point of view I think starting the story somewhere in the middle might be inconvenient. I think that if we just jump into it there will be issues with characters making connections as well. Like, we can't just say characters are friends without rping them meeting. If that makes any sense?

Idk, I kinda like the idea of starting way back then? Itβll be easier for everyone to adapt to and then like, from that point they can learn more as the roleplay progresses? Like part of the reason the game is easy to get is because you start of easy and learn as you go, which would be handy for anyone joining? Thatβs just my two cents at least

Well yeah that's what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying let's start at the krokotopia plot from the start or whatever, but I kinda don't want to have to start at the very very beginning in terms of skill. I guess what I'm saying is that yes we start from the beginning of the plot, but not start out as little wizards who only know Ice Beetle, y'know? Give them a little skill or something, cause tbh I doubt that any of the npc wizards had no skill at all before schooling or whatever. I'm sure that wouldn't be too hard for beginners idk.

To put it simple, yes we start from first plot but just give them a little more to use, y'know?

I have to agree! But at the same time I want to start the rp at the beginning of the school year. Maybe the baby spells were something they were required to learn over the time off school or something? Just so we can step up the spell cards a bit? Or we can always just say that people just know the basics anyways :3

I can agree with knowing the basics, and even then we will likely have to start with minor spells in battle anyway cause that's a must when you're a beginner, and you learn to save pips and whatnot to be able to use good spells later in battle.

Makes sense. At the very least I think we should give them access to spell cards that in the game were for level 5 to level 8. Of course we can go higher if you want though.

Alrighty, cool. For the rp I also kinda want to do more world building/exploring than they did in the game. I think since we are rping it, it will allow for more freedom on that front.

Yeah I think so too, cause you do find out about the worlds yes but there's a surprising amount left up to interpretation.

Not to mention we can build on characters who seem pretty one dimensional at first haha. I'll try and type up the new basic list of ideas we have and then we can go from there. There are a few things here or there I might edit. What else do you think we should discuss?

Oof sorry for the poof. I realized that we should probably plan out a few side stories/quests. Ones that aren't in the game just to make things interesting. What do you guys think?

Not anything concrete, but I was thinking we could play more into fishing, gardening, and pets. Like a fishing competition of sorts. Or maybe we could make up a myth about a fish and the group that chooses to rp it could look into it. Like River Monsters, if you've ever seen that. I also think doing some competitions between groups could be fun as well. Kinda like the PvP battles. But with better rewards.
We could also do things for crafting where rpers would have to travel into uncharted territory and collect items from monsters or the rivers/forests. Stuff like that I guess that builds on the Wizard101 world?

Ooh, I like that. And maybe certain pets tie into stories or something? Like maybe there's only one of a certain kind of pet, and there's a whole little story/quest revolving around it? Cause some of the pets are so cool and W101 doesn't really tap into that x3

OOo that would be fun! I'd love to see more done with the pets for sure! We'd have to come up with a story, but it would be cool for sure! I'd like to see more myths behind them as well, like if you own a specific pet you'll have good luck. Or this pet brings bad luck. Stuff like that y'know?

Agreed. Maybe characters start out with the regular pets like the pig and little dragon or whatever, and can only have the cooler pets if they're earned through rp?

Ooo good idea! We can make a few exceptions maybe for characters who come from rich families, but I like the idea of having people gain pets either from buying them or finding them in the rp.
