Their relationship is horrible. I already posted a reply that talks about this, but their relationship is so bad and toxic that it boggles my mind they kept getting back together despite it never working. It's so horrible and immature. Their "love" had no basis to exist in the first place. Their excuse for wanting to meet in secret makes no sense since in book 1 of OOTS, their relationship didn't even exist beyond just "acquaintances on a journey." Their whole reason for meeting doesn't exist and makes no sense, so therefore, their entire relationship is built on nothing but irritating instances.
Their "love" is stupid and toxic. Nowhere near "true love." The only true love pair I can think of if SandxFire because they are the best couple (had slowburn development, they are an actual good pairing in both partnership and romanceship)

It’s like a less bad SkyxStar, they both enable each other’s bad behavior

Because Tigerheart is the only one who treats her right, and like the Super Edition explains: He can simply be himself without worrying about anything, or having to deal with the pressure of being deputy.
As for Dovewing, she likes him because he is "naturally everything she wishes she was", and that he's handsome. Both cats seem to love each other for their personalities, which is sweet, imo. Many cats usually like each other by looks. It's exactly why Tiger x Dove is neutral for me. Cute but annoying moments, however, both seem to accept, forgive, and love each other for who they are.
