Introduction
You wander aimlessly. Ever since the sun has turned red and the ground sizzles under your paws, and there have been no twolegs or other cats you've seen.
It has been hard to find prey, and harder to find water. You have started to run out of hope that your hunger and thirst will ever be quenched, no matter how many crispy and dead plants you paw over.
Until one day, you see it.
The Clan that had been spoken about as far back as you can remember, meant for those who didn't want a soft life filled with pampering.
You begin to run, but days without food have caught you and you crumple to the ground. All hope seems lost, and you can't muster the tears to cry over how close you were to salvation, until you hear faint voices.
"Copperstar! Quick, there's a survivor!"

General Information
BlazeClan is set during the days when the sun has become a red giant and is swelling, and most of humanity has died out due to frivolous wars during their last days. Despite this, BlazeClan have found a home in the valley of two great mountains, where the temperatures are a little cooler and a large lake continues to survive against all odds.
Before you begin to roleplay or join, there are a few rules that need to be followed no matter what.
Bolding is for the rule.
Normal text is for why the rule is in place/what the rule means.
1. Follow all forum and ProBoard rules. I don't want this thread to be deleted or for anyone to be banned, so please make sure you follow everything. If you need a refresher, click here.
2. Do not steal anything from this roleplay. I spent a while coming up with this idea and then trying to execute it so do not steal anything from this thread. Exceptions will be if you are given direct permission from me (or in the case of a character, the owner of the character).
3. Be active. This Clan is going to be my first serious Clan, and I don't want it to fizzle out. If you think you cannot post at least three times a week, please do not join this Clan. If you are in a position of power (leader, deputy, medicine cat, head scout) you must post at least four times a week. Also, saying (Hello!) does not count. Please make it a legitimate contribution. If you will be gone, I will excuse you as long as you tell me in advance. If you are absent for one week, I will send you a message warning you that your character(s) will be deleted. If you do not (a.) respond with a reason, (b.) post a contributing roleplay message in the thread, or (c.) tell me you will be gone for longer, I will delete your characters after one more week. You have two weeks in total to talk to me or post in the thread.
4. Be literate. I want this Clan to be a semi-literate to a literate roleplay, so absolutely no one-liners! A good rule of thumb is to match someone else, or have around four lines/five sentences per response. Also, no txt tawlk pls XD uwu. It's hard to read and definitely not in the original books.
5. Be reasonable. When in doubt, ask yourself if whatever you're doing is possible in the given universe. Obviously male tortoiseshells with blue eyes don't exist (normally) in our world, but they're possible in Warriors. However, purple pelts, three eyes, wings, or telepathy are not possible in Warriors. This also applies to the actual roleplay -- do not godmod or powerplay at all. It sucks to have to respond to and is in general really annoying. Also, make sure you do not have a Mary/Gary-Stu. It's unreasonable for your cat to catch prey and win the fight every time, especially in the BlazeClan environment.
6. No kit anything. Don't steal kits, don't kill kits (unless permission is given), and absolutely no ***ting ever!
Regarding character creation:
1. Keep the ratio of males/females and apprentices/warriors even. By "even", I mean that there is a reasonable amount of each side. 16 females and 3 males is not even, and 7 warriors with 15 apprentices is not even. This is why I request that you make two non-apprentices at least, one male and one female. In order to make an apprentice, you must have made two other cats (combinations can include two warriors, one warrior and one elder, one warrior and one medicine cat, or one warrior and one queen).
2. Keep the amount of cats you have reasonable. There's that word again! This time, I mean that if you can't roleplay twelve cats, don't have twelve cats! There is no pressure to have more than two cats -- in fact, if needed, you may PM me about only having one character. If you want to have twelve cats, just roleplay all of them evenly (or as evenly as possible).
3. Don't make your cat a high position if you haven't asked. Please PM me if you want a high position. I don't like turning people down so please don't assume I'll choose you because you requested the position. Also, there is no code word so don't search for one.
Those are the nine golden rules! Please follow them all!

BlazeClan is at a status of folklore for the Clan cats because the history of the Clan goes back for so long. Many cats are unnamed and lost to time, but some still try to retell the story of BlazeClan. The kit's tale goes something like this:
Long ago, a cat spoke to the stars, and they told him one day the sun would eat the ground away. The only way to stay safe for the longest amount of time possible was to find the valley -- an area where water pools at the bottom and there is enough land for many cats over many moons.
The cat traveled for almost his whole life before discovering The Blaze: the legendary vision of flames sprouting from the water. Once the cat had seen them, he began recruiting cats and decided to call themselves BlazeClan to honor the star cats, who told him they were called StarClan.
After many, many moons the sun began to get larger and turn red, and twolegs began to flee and leave their housecats alone. They had to venture and find shelter, food, water, or anything that would help them. After a while, they would always have their paws guide them to BlazeClan.
In actuality, the founder of BlazeClan called himself The Wanderer, and he was not the only one to experience The Blaze. Instead of being sent to the Moonstone or Moonpool, the leader must stand on the Great Boulder and StarClan will see if the new leader is fit to lead. If not, they will not see The Blaze or gain their nine lives.
In this Clan, the prefixes Blaze, Fire, and Sun are not allowed, as they are considered sacred or dangerous. While moon/water related prefixes and suffixes are common, they are in no way the norm and are just used as a sort of 'good luck' charm.

Territory
The BlazeClan territory is large, and for the most part sits in a valley of two mountains.
The leftmost mountain is called Fire Peak and the rightmost mountain is called the Scout's Outlook.
Fire Peak is where the Great Boulder is, but since it's so high up the climb usually takes a day to get to. It's not dangerous, though -- you can actually walk up most of it and the Great Boulder sits on a relatively flat area. There's enough room for the whole Clan in case of emergencies like forest fires, but it's better for small groups of ten or less cats. Fire Peak is covered in small rocks, dirt, gravel, and small plants and grasses. Occasionally goats can be seen climbing the mountain, but this is usually during leaf-bare or green-leaf.
Scout's Outlook is what the mountain is called, but the actual area for the scouts is at the middle (a point higher than the Great Boulder). This area is like a mini-camp for the scouts and scout apprentices because of the clear view of the lake and surrounding area. Because of the long trek, scouts take turns on who must go down to report to the current leader every day. The cat will usually sleep in camp with the others, eat something, and then travel back up the mountain. The job is usually unwanted because of this, but some are called to the task and treat it with the respect it deserves.
The camp is set in the middle of these two mountains, and is surrounded with various rocks, bushes, and brambles. The dens are sunken into the ground, and if more dens are ever needed they're carved away as the ground is made of clay/dirt and is easy to dig. The leaders den is the farthest from the entrance, and has a flat rock covering half of the opening. The shade reduces the temperature and the clay stays cool during the day (when the cats sleep). The medicine den is by a large tree with a huge canopy of leaves, so herbs can be stored by the roots to dry during the day, and the actual medicine den is a very shallow sinkhole with the canopy of leaves shading it from the sun. Various rocks and cat-made barriers help prevent herbs blowing away in the wind and reduce draft inside, and during storms rain pools in a dug-out area near the entrance for ill cats.
The warriors, queens, apprentices, and elders den are all on the left side of the camp and are shading with trees, bushes, or flat rocks jutting out. All of the dens can be likened to the tunnels in WindClan mixed with caves -- they are hollow and big enough for many cats and the only problem is during occasional hurricanes/heavy storms when the dens can begin to fill with water, however ditches are dug by the entrance of all dens to help prevent this.
In the middle of camp is where the prey pile is and during Clan meetings, the leader will climb the tree by the medicine den and sit on one of low hanging branches.
After exiting the camp and walking forwards, you will find the lake. Most prey is caught near or in the lake. If you go backwards from the camp, the valley continues. Only scouts roam there.
Continuing to the left of the lake, you'll find the boneyard and Red Tree. The boneyard is a place where the dead are buried, and some cats often go there to reminisce in memories. The Red Tree is just an abnormally tall tree, and apprentices are often tasked with climbing at least half-way as part of their test to become a warrior/scout.
Continuing to the right will lead you to a forest and the old twolegplace. The forest is relatively cool so prey is usually found there. Walking for two days will lead you to the twolegplace, which has been abandoned for many moons. Kittypets, rogues, and loners often come from the right of the lake for this reason.
The red tree to the edge of the forest is the widest part of the territory, and the midway point of the valley to the midway point of the lake is the longest.
Not much else is know about the land surrounding the territory, but most cats believe that the moorish, rocky ground is consistent forever. Perhaps one day the cats will discover something beyond their borders...
