Considering the circumstances, do you think she was a good spy or not? Why do you think this?

For the most part, she had her moments when she almost slipped up.But I admire her courage and would've admitted and exposed myself the second I smelled Mapleshade's rank breathe trying to drown me.But in all seriousness she was really smart in the way she got around every obstacle.

Looking back, yeah, she didn’t get any information really but it wasn’t as if she didn’t try. She tried a lot but one way or another- she was woken up, or the leaders didn’t trust her enough, and she barely got anything useful.
And really that’s why I was never a huge fan of that plotline. Not because Ivypool’s “a horrible spy”, I mean she tried, but because it was just teaser filler to me. It kept getting our hopes up that we would finally find out a bunch of secret information yet no matter what she did it never availed to anything- the best she ever got was becoming a sort of “trusted” trainer- but still blocked off from most of the real important information. Maybe she heard some gossip about Mapleshade saying to target the kits first but what’s new/important about that? And sure, she knocked the sense into the ThunderClan trainees to protect their clan... but that’s the best she could do really.
I mean don’t get me wrong if you’re super into Ivypool as a character her being all secretive and brave in the dark forest was probably pretty cool. But as someone who doesn’t really care for her the plot was dull, not worth it in the end, and meaningless in the grand scheme of things, and the plot would have moved on fine without her in the dark forest.

No. The plot was dumb and literally Dovewing could've done her job with enough practice. So in the end, Ivypool was useless and if she didn't exist, all that would be lost is a horrible sister drama plot that no one cared for/no one liked.

No. Ivypool only existed as a pair of eyes for the Dark Forest and filler chapters. She's just as useless as Dovewing to the prophecy. Take her out and she wouldn't done anything significant to the story.

Ivypool is useless filler who actively withholds information rather than giving it out but gosh if it isn't fun and badass filler. I know I can at least look forward to an Ivypool chapter to give me my dose of dumb fun if the surrounding chapters are dull.

Ivypool is overrated because the books themselves like to make believe she did impressive and important things, when in reality, she didn't do ANYTHING useful or helpful in any...way...

no because it didn’t make sense. supposedly df/starclan cats are aware of what goes on in the living world so you would assume they’d know she was a spy

She could have been better, but I blame the writing.

She wasn't because she didn't give anyone any information

I think the whole spy plotline was a cool premise that they did absolutely nothing with. Really all it amounted to was Ivypool really not wanting to train in the dark forest but doing it anyway, and since Dovewing showed she could see into the dark forest there was really no reason for her to do it. it was just a way to keep her in the dark forest so we get the POV while also keeping her one of the good guys.
