𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Dakar walked with Akriel to his home, which looked a little on the larger side, as if a wealthy family owned it, but too big to be considered a mansion. And it definitely didn't look grand, instead having a more homey feel to it. And, there were a few smaller structures surrounding the main one, especially one that looked like an observatory. "I keep a lot of books, so half of these are basically serving as a library. Luckily though, the guests rooms are book free and open to your customization for as long as you wish to stay." Walking to the main doors, they opened without needing a hand to move them. The inside looked a little nicer than the outside, but still had a homey feel. And, the halls were decorated with paintings, sculptures and more, some of the art looking rather old too.

Samandriel After the talk with his general, Nanuk had decided to go to his training room in the castle. He had servants search for the toughest rocks and metals for him to break, and super heavy things to use as weights. And currently, he was working on lifting some of his usual weights, which were the normal type instead of just some heavy log or whatever. Wearing only some black cloth pants, his huge hands grabbed the weighted bar, and he picked it up effortlessly, hefting it up to his chin before holding up with straight arms. He repeated this for a while before turning to what looked to be diamond. It was artificial, but close enough, as pure diamond only came in small amounts 99.9% of the time. Clenching his fist, he reared it back before snapping it forward. A crack appeared, and then another as he punched again. And he did this until the diamond chunk was no more than rubble. Ah, yes. Satisfaction. It felt good to know that he was one of the strongest in the land. Maybe he would go to the arena later and kill some criminals and peasants for fun. Nodding once to himself, he picked up one of the diamond chunks in his large hand, staring down at it. Hm. He would call in the servants later to take these to the jewelers.

"My King, I would remind you diamonds never did anything wrong to you." Came a joking voice. In the doorway, bowing her head as he turned, was Jerra, eager as always to see Nanuk Sanilak. She was devoted not only in duty, but in love as well. The only man that had ever caused her fluster, ever made her smile just but presence alone. He was larger than life to her, and she had fallen in love with it. And she had been quietly building their relationship the past months. Using her position as a messenger, she had built connections that could garner information, and as ambassador to surrounding tribes was also the main voice for them. This position had gained her council with the throne, also Nanuk's eye. She was confident around him now- well, more confident than the rest of his circle.

Samandriel Nanuk grunted upon hearing Jerra, turning toward her. He looked down at her, though he had to look down at everyone. After a moment of just studying her, he turned away, snorting "I must keep my strength up. It's the diamonds' fault for being what I want to break." Not a good attempt at a joke, but it was the only time he would ever try, around Jerra. She was the only one that never seemed intimidated by his presence. At first, he would admit, she was annoying. Annoying because she was always around at first. Annoying because he couldn't compute that she was not necessarily afraid of him. He then came to notice that she wasn't acting as such for show. Hm. But she would not be a suitable... match. His mother said so, said that he would be doing all the work protecting the babies. Jerra was a capable fighter though, so surely that meant she could protect babies, as a maternal fury usually went unmatched anyway. Huffing, he turned away and went back to his weights. "What do you want? Do you bring news? I've been wanting results from those pests living on our land." And by pests he meant a harmless tribe of wolves and insects that weren't locals. He swore, if they didn't clear out soon he would have them captured and thrown to the Glutton. "I've wanted them gone for weeks, but they are sticking to my land like parasites, and parasites are to be killed. Not left alone, or they will infect the host."

Jerra set her walking stick against the wall, and walked towards the center of the room. "As you should, your majesty. Strength is certainly an important quality." She had never agreed that strength was the absolute important quality. But she did concede their nation was greater with the laws in place based on strength. And then, she reached over for the largest set of weights near her. "I'm here to report on them, yes. They do not want to leave, as it is their only place they aren't chased off immediately. But while the wolves are quite prideful and likely to be a nuisance, they could be useful as an example. Meanwhile, I came to give you a great bit of information. The insects have sent me with an olive branch. The constant skirmishes you suggested have warn them down. They're weak enough to force off with a full-blown attack." With little effort, she grabbed the weight and lifted into the air. It was a little strain on her, but she did a good job of hiding that in front of her king. "And... I won't lie, your majesty. I also wanted to get in on the action. This is usually around the time you sharpen your metal against death row, isn't it?"

Samandriel Nanuk listened to her news, finding her voice to be one of the very, very few things he did not find annoying. Huffing, he had begun pacing a little, thinking about what to do. He honestly couldn't care less about them, and wanted to throw them all over the cliff. However, Jerra stated the could be useful. Probably not all of them though. Thise insects were going to go either way though. Hm. As he thought it all over, Jerra spoke again. Turning toward her, he blinked slowly. She wanted to busy herself with pests. Hm. Not his problem. Scratching his chin, he remained silent for another short while. Then, he eventually spoke. "I want a group taken out to both tribes. Soon. You will go to the wolves first, kill some of their pack and bring the rest to me. This will also be the case with the insects. Kill some of their swarm and bring the rest to me. I will have some of the remaining thrown over the cliff, including their leaders, and then we send the rest on their way." That was usually how it went with pests. If they did not come to officially join his kingdom, then they either had to leave or face the consequences, because Nanuk always found out about stains on his land. The large bear once again looked down at the shorter woman, to see what she thought of this idea, though there was none more than a sliver of a chance that she had to change his mind. At least she would be getting to go out and round up the tribes though, right?

"And you'd like me to head such an operation, my liege?" She asked, dipping her head as his gaze fell upon her again. Jerra tossed aside the weightless weight. "I would be honored to. Who would you have me take?" Now, no matter what group of soldiers he named, she had more power. Recognizing her as a leader would be enough to propel her, in her eyes and the eyes of his advisers, to a higher status. And she couldn't help but smile- that would also lift her up higher in his own eyes.

Samandriel Nanuk listened to her response, nodding once. "Yes, you. Sabre is busy with the tournament we discussed anyway, and I don't trust any of the soldiers themselves to lead a small-scale raid, trained or not." Though he said it a little bluntly, it was still a good thing that he picked her at all. When Jerra asked who she should take, he went quiet again, still pacing. Then, scratching his chin in thought. He didn't need to waste the time of his best soldiers, and Mythicals forbid his royal guards, so he would send some the higher end of the common soldiers. Not complete idiots, and strong enough to handle a raid by far. He then told Jerra of his picks. "Hit the wolves first, so they do not try to scramble and escape before you get to them. The insects are of less concern because they are probably under the assumption we will not use much force anymore." Little did those parasites know. Soon they'd learn the consequences of trying to leech off his territory without even approaching him. He didn't look it, but he was more willing to accept things if he was talked to first, but the problem was that people were usually too scared to approach him

Jerra dipped her head one final time with a smile. "It will be done, my lord. I shall leave at once, to prepare." However, even as she made her way back to retrieve her staff, she went slow, hoping to hear something else from Nanuk. What did she hope for? If fate would have it, anything would do. If he needed someone who could keep up in a sparring match, she could do that. She would make a great sparring partner- even if she was hit, she would absorb the kinetic energy, and do more damage in return. IT would be a great way to gauge his power, and a way for her to finally match him eventually. But she had no idea what was in his head right now. Perhaps a king as great as he only wanted silence.

They continued walking and Eri eventually pulled out some dry fruit from her bad, snacking on it as they went. She rarely carried a lot of food for herself, but the dried berries, meat, and other foods took up little space and were good enough to snack on while she was going between towns. Plus they lasted longer.
Akriel nodded, more intent on looking around than replying. When they entered he asked "Have you always lived here? It looks like you've spent a lot of time and money putting it together." he figured that Dakar would still buy things, ancient being or not. The painting especially caught Akriels eyes and he looked them over carefully before following after the lion.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛He watched the horizon for the city, knowing any moment he would begin to see it. The magnificent city of opportunity. Perhaps there he would find a job. "What was your father like, Eri?" To break the ice, ironically enough, he talked about what he left his world of ice for.

Eri chewed on the fruit thoughtfully before swallowing and saying "He's really smart. I'm not so sure how he was as a kid since he never talks about it, but he's been nothing but good to me and my mom. Though my mom would be sure to let him know if he wasn't." her mother was fiery and a force to be reckoned with "His work ethic is really admirable." she then asked "Are you close with your family?"

Samandriel Nanuk didn't say anything else as Jerra moved to go grab her staff. He had no other use of her at the moment, not even in the mood to spar and practice off of her unique power. He was more concerned with seeing to those pests being cleared out along with the tournament. Hm. Speaking of, he said "You should participate in the tournament Sabre and I have recently started planning." He mulled the idea over as he started scooting broken diamond into a pile. "Should be happening soon, and you'll be able to have the honor of having the losers sent over the cliff." There would be additional prizes too, like money, but Nanuk found that as only second best to watching your opponent lose both a fight and their life. "Just make sure you are in the group of winners," Nanuk grunted. He would not bend the rules for anyone. "Tishka will also be participating."

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Dakar nodded. "For the majority of my life, yes. This plane exists separate from the mortal realm, but it was... shown to me, by something. A portal opened up to somewhere I could peacefully and safely dwell." As he walked down the halls with Akriel, he added "You will be at your safest here, too. There are others living here, but they are kind, and the only one outside of this realm who can get in is locked away, never to leave." He frowned slightly at the thought, but made no further comment on the matter. Instead, he said "So, I'm sure you must have some questions."

Smokey Feather(I hope you don't mind me stealing your format of replying- it's just so clean <3) Jerra came to a stop and swiftly turned to face him. She brought her staff to her chest, breathing in deeply, and nodded with an elated smile. "Of course, your majesty! I will show honor and strength enough to make even you proud! This I vow!" Tishka. The other fisticuffs fighter within Jhotinai. An unspoken rivalry was felt between these two, and at the thought of an all-out fight between the two had a shiver of excitement running down Jerra's back. She could care less about killing her defeated; her true focus was always the fight itself. The rush of adrenaline, the excitement and life that flowed in her veins, and the recoil of force through her fists as her gauntlets found purchase on her enemy, all of these were intoxicating.

"I'd like to say we do, but honestly most of the time we're just working." Eri replied, scratching the back of her head "The closest we get to celebrating anything is when one of us will have made a big sale or trade and we'll have enough money." it wasn't as if they were hurting for money, but they also knew to be careful with what they had and to save up when the opportunity presented itself "Ever since I moved out I celebrate even less." she shrugged.
Akriel nodded "Who else lives here? And are there requirements that have to be met when coming here? I mean, I assume someone could trace the magic and if they were strong enough, break in." the idea of magic this powerful being broken was stunning, but Akriel guessed that it could happen. Especially with the tone Dakar took on "Oh, I also wanted to ask if we were going to start right away." he couldn't wait.

"We celebrated often." He began, glancing ahead once more. "My brothers were always worth celebrating. Feasts over their first lay, their first kills, their birthdays, hell, if my eldest had a funny joke we might indulge." He snorted at the thought. "We were prosperous, despite our hostile conditions, and rather than save we indulged. Often. But never for me." There was a lot to unpack there.

Samandriel Nanuk simply grunted. Why was she so eager to please him? It was weird, but he supposed it was a good thing. Weird, but good. Maybe he would get used to it some day. Huffing, he just said "Don't embarrass me. If any officer or adviser does bad in a public event, or any event, it makes me look bad." He trusted that she would not disappoint at least though, but he warned her cause she was of higher rank than the officers, as unlikely as that was, because she was in charge of retrieving information that usually ended up dictating what would go on for battles and such. Looking down at the diamonds, he tilted his head before deciding that he would take them to the jewelers himself. So, he lumbered over the door, looking out for a servant and barking st them to fetch a large sack and a smaller one. Turning back inside, he grunted "... would you want to go with me to drop this all off?"

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Dakar led Akriel down a hallway of rooms. "This realm is actually a sort of... pocket. Like it was taken from the mortal realm and set in place separately. About... well, a very long time ago. You will eventually meet them when I can take you to have a look around." He then thought for a moment. "And no, there are no specific guidelines really. Just don't go causing trouble, and do not use your magic to sway things in your favor." At the question of when they were to start, the lion flicked an ear. "Well, I suppose we could get a small lesson in. It will be nighttime soon."

Smokey FeatherShe had almost run off to get ready. Now Jerra prayed thanks for her patience. "Of course, your majesty." Not even entertaining the idea of questioning him, as a task like this was for servants, she padded over to him swiftly, kneeling beside him to gather shards into small piles, easy to pick up. I'm going to spend time with him, one on one! Whether he just wanted company, or if God bless he wanted her specifically to come with him, this was exactly what she wanted. Jerra took the small bag from the servant, and immediately began filling her bag with the shards. They weren't heavy, but she could tell their hardness must be incredible. He really must be the strongest...

Samandriel Nanuk made sure to take the larger shards, which were broken into sharp pieces. Stuffing them in the bags he was give, which wouldn't rip, he made sure he was satisfied with what he had before straightening up. Even with both of them carrying diamonds, there was still some left over. Those would go to the castle jewellers specifically, who made pieces for the higher-ups of the castle if requested. Letting Jerra go first, he followed her out, scooping up the remaining diamonds left over into his palm, the other hand holding the two sacks he had for himself. And soon, they were walking down and out into the open to head to the marketplace. He didn't care if others saw what they were carrying, hinted by the pieces grasped in his hand, because he knew no one would dare try and mug them, lest he smash their heads in. As the two passed, people would immediately just... stop, and watch. Nanuk was already a tall man, but on top of that he looked like a mountain with fur and muscles, and he wasn't even wearing his armor. Just his pants at the moment, his large figure and fur more than enough to keep him warm in the cold, crisp air.

Jerra shivered as every gaze was on her and Nanuk, her King. Instinctively she drew closer to him, still pridefully leading the way for her King. The most direct route to the jewelers. Even as they passed through questionable areas of town, Jerra was unafraid. The strongest man in the world, Nanuk Sangilak, was just behind her, prepared to lunge forward and protect his people. In thought, anyway- she would be the first to spring to action, as his underling, to protect her King. As they arrived, she strode up to the nearest stall and dropped her bag. "His Majesty, King Nanuk, has graced you with a gift. Rough cut diamonds. You are then expected, as is your duty, to create elaborate and impressive jewelry worthy of him." Jerra spared a single glance back to Nanuk, to confirm her words were to his liking.
