Vance had his eyes closed, nearly drifting off again until Elenor's voice shocked him awake. He looked to the bowl she had made, and he let surprise pass over his face for just a moment. He had know idea she had the ability to make that in such a short amount of time. Most of the time, the pottery the campers made was lumpy and misshapen. It took him a moment to realize Elenor had asked a question, and he turned to look at her. "I don't have anything better to do," he replied with a shrug.
Elias saw the other boy, Simon, settle farther into the bed. Now Elias was content that he could run and disappear before Simon could catch him, if he said something to set the son of Hades off. Elias ran through all the possible lies in his head before settling on the most believable one. "Some kid of Hermes stole my good shoes," Elias lied, stomping his Sketchers for emphasis. They lit up unenthusiastically. "I've been looking in every cabin for them. Figured here was as good a place to look at any." Elias bit his lip, and the quiet was suffocating. Elias had never been a great liar, but since coming to camp, he had learned.

Lani catches a glimpse of red hair and soon spots Riley. She couldn't help but stare. Lani was aware that Riley is the Head Counselor for Aphrodite cabin. From what she heard, Riley was a pretty tough cookie. Lani bites the inside of her cheek wondering if she should go talk to her or not. I should play it cool.

Elenor smiled just a bit at him, rather excitedly gathering another lump of clay. Even if she didn't know him that well, it was still fun to show someone how to do one of her favorite activities. "So you need to come sit over here by one of the wheels, because I can't show you anything from over there. Now to start, you've got to get it centered right, before you do anything," Elenor said, making sure the second wheel was set up as she spoke.

(Alrighty! Sorry for the poof xD)
Axel had settled himself rather deeply into the woods, sitting on the ground and reclining against a rather tall tree. He pulled out his novel and settled it on his legs. As he began diving into the words before him, his ears heard slight hissing and crunching of grass. He ignored it for several seconds, the actuality of the noise not really registering in his mind. Suddenly it hit him. Axel slowly raised his eyes, there were 5. 5 basilisk. 3 of them were huge, longer then his arm and the other two were only slightly shorter. His book slipped out of his hands and he was on his feet in milliseconds. All their eyes turned to him. His heart thumped loudly in his chest and he scrambled to grab his short sword from inside his jacket. Realizing even Hercules would struggled to fight 5 at a time, he shouted as loud as he could manage as he started backing away from them. "Hey!! Hey!! I could use some help over here!!!"

Allie had been a short ways into the woods, using the smaller monsters that sometimes strayed that close to the main camp as target practice. She'd had her throwing knives for a few years now, but she still wasn't as good as she wanted to be. Then, just as she bent down to pick up the last of her knives, she heard the scream. Allie bolted up right, one knife in her hand and four on her hip, and started towards the sounds. Who ever that was, it sounded bad.

Eris paused. She had been heading a different path than she saw Axel go to avoid bumping in to him again, yet was close enough in the area to hear his call. "Boys, always finding trouble." She muttered, her hand reaching into a shadow of a tree, pulling out her long, slender blade. Even if he had irritated her and she had no intention of being friends, she hated knowing she left someone who needed help. She ran in the direction of the yell until she stumbled upon Axel

Vance moved around the table to sit in front of the wheels, staring at it as if it was some new kind of monster. Vance copied Elenor, taking the lump of clay he'd been playing with and placing it in the middle of the wheel. Vance squinted, trying to make sure it was in the middle. He felt like a kid again, sitting next to Elenor and learning how to sculpt pottery. "So that was the hardest part, right?"

"Well, you've also got to make sure that it's really stuck, because if not then it might go flying off when you start the wheel," Elenor continued, checking the clay, then starting the wheel spinning for him. "Now you've got to work it out a little bit. You won't have to do as much as normal, since I worked it out before. So you pull it up, then push it back down, using both hands to make sure you keep it in a mound and not a disk," Elenor added, demonstrating on her own wheel and clay, but watching him closely.

Axel started running backwards, trying to keep his eyes on the snakes, but there were five and they were coming fast. Wet globs of their fiery spit came flying at him. He ducked and yelped as a small amount of splatter landed on his shoulder searing through his hoodie and burning his skin. He stumbled to the side and pulled out several throwing knives. Axel threw them with deadly aim. However the Basilisk's slipped around the blades, tails brushing the blades and dissolving them into ashes.

Eris leapt over a bush, her sword raised at a diagonal as she touched the ground. "Tch. I hate snakes." She narrowed her eyes, disgust clear on her face. Instead of running backwards, she rushed the retched beasts, brandishing her sword like it was a cross to the devil. "Burn in Hades." She ducked as they spit their poison towards her.

Vance stared down at the clay, wondering if fighting of a horde of monsters would be easier than this witchcraft. Vance watched the clay spin for a moment, unsure of exactly how to start. Vance watched Elenor before attempting to mould his own clay the same way, moving the clay in a rhythm he could get used to. He knew that his pottery would end up looking like those of the eleven and twelve year old campers, but finding something to occupy his mind and his hands was always better than letting them wander.

Allie finally broke through the trees to the fighting, her eyes zeroing in on the two demigods and the five snakes before her. She readied her blade, studying the monster farthest from Eris, and then threw it, hoping to at least take out the tail, if not turn the monster to dust. The blade landed, slicing through the first few layers of snake skin just below the acid of the tail, but then it stuck fast, not quite enough to take out the monster.
Elenor smiled slightly as she watched his progress. "Don't forget to keep the clay and your hands yet. But not too wet, or it'll all just start falling apart. When you think it's soft enough you can press down on the center with your thumbs, and pull it open, that's when you start shaping," she instructed, using one of her hands to push a bowl of water a little closer to him, still watching his technique so she could catch him before he made any huge mistakes.

Axel scrambled away as two campers he didn't really get a good luck at, jumped out and started going at the snakes. He took the time they provided to slow down and stop to examine his situation. None of his weapons would work well against a Basilisk with their poisonous skin. He shifted his short sword in his hand, feeling a bit more comfortable with the odds now that he had two more campers to help him out. Since he weapon was short, he decided to go for one of the shorted snakes since that was clearly the smarter move. He started toward one of the shorter ones, dodging a couple spits of fire, his shoulder aching from the burn.

Eris twisted last second, swiping her blade in an upward motion that accidently ripped through part of the grass as well as she tore throw part of one Basilisk. It exploded into nothing but ash and dust. She wrinkled her nose. How distasteful. I'm gonna be coated in snake ash. She sighed inwardly, rather amused by the word snake ash. Upon the arrival of the third person she felt both a twinge of relief and disappointment. The help was necessary for these. The downfall was the fact it was another camper who had shown up

Allie continued to run closer, unsheathing another of her throwing knives as she went. Finally, as she prepped to throw the knife she stopped, aiming just below the head of the snake she'd already attacked. She sent the knife flying end over end, watching as it landed true again, this second injury enough to turn the snake to ash and lower the number of snakes to three. Then, she drew her third knife, more than aware that she was quickly running out of weapons, if she didn't get a chance to retrieve the other two soon.

Axel faked a swipe toward one side of the snake and as it lunged for his blade, he pulled it away and sliced at it's head. It's body exploded in ash and he looked for the last snake. It was slithering around by the other two campers and he figured they'd have it handled. He stuck his short sword into his jacket and cautiously went to pick up his book. Keeping his eye on the last Basilisk, he bent down and snatched up his novel, shoving it into his pocket. Axel winced, suddenly remembering there was a burned hole in his shirt. He frowned in annoyance and reached across his chest, pulling the sleeve down to take a look. Could probably be fixed. He thought lazily to himself.

Delilah laughed as he finally cracked a smile. At least she was getting somewhere. "Right, sure, if that's what helps you sleep at night." Her tone full of sass and sarcasm. Her eyebrow arched at his final comment, the sass from her voice leaking into her facial expression. " Oh my gods, I am just so honored to be given permission by the great-" "Sebastian isn't it?" "-to stay up on a stable roof and interfere with his 'me time'. Should I, like, tell all the girls about it?" She spoke in a 'valley girl' accent, flipping her hair over her shoulder dramatically at the end of her statement. - Sorry! I ended up having to work yesterday and I'm about to go in now so I'll be poofy - Bash couldn't help himself and let out a loud groan, "Gods please don't. Do whatever you want but please not that. You're more than enough company, Lilac. I don't need any of those Aphrodite kids up here, gods they can be annoying." Much to his dismay Sebastian was smiling, laughing at her terrible act. He hated to admit it but was enjoying her company, even if she had woken him up from his nap.

From what she heard, Riley was a pretty tough cookie. Lani bites the inside of her cheek wondering if she should go talk to her or not. I should play it cool. At some point during her walk Riley decided her destination was going to be the lake, seeing as she had very little motivaton to train at the moment. She caught sight of Lani nearby and gave her a small smile and a little wave in greeting before continuing on. Only a couple minutes passed by and the daughter of Aphrodite smiled to herself as she neared the waters edge, scouting the area for a good place to sit. She made her way over to a large tree not too far from the bank and sat beneath it. Her fair skin tanned easily so she was greatful for the shade it provided.

Delilah grinned and laughed quietly, looking at him with an amused expression. "Lilac huh?" She wasn't even bothered that he didn't know her name. In fact, most of her friends called her Lila, so his guess was actually relatively close. "You think my name's Lilac? Is it just because I'm a Demeter?" She cocked her head to the side, with a sideways smile.

Vance listened to what Elenor told him to do, to his own surprise. When he pressed his thumbs into the clay, he nearly yanked them back out again. He wasn't sure what it was, but something about the clay's texture felt wrong. Despite this, Vance tried to shape the clay into a bowl, knitting his brows. He hadn't even noticed how lopsided his bowl was becoming, despite the fact that he was so concentrated on not royally messing up.
Elias felt almost offended by Simon's judgement of his shoes. "Picture this," Elias began, spreading his hands. "You're running in the dark woods, far away from civilization. There is no light. Something is chasing you - it can see you, but you can't see it. It's almost upon you, you can smell its horrid breath but you don't know what it is, where it is." Elias stomped his shoes, sending bright light across the floor. "And then suddenly you can see! You're light up shoes just saved your life," Elias laughed, his shoulders shaking.

Elias shrugged. "To be honest, I'd never really thought about the practicality of Sketchers before today," he answered. "However, one would have to specify which monster was chasing you. If it's one of those Underworld ones with the bad eyesight, then I'm thinking the sketchers would burn those tikars söner." Elias tried to resist a laugh. Here he was, in the Hades cabin, talking about how Sketchers would benefit you when running from monsters.

Elias leaned with one shoulder against the wall. He hadn't expected Simon to be nice. He'd expected a brooding, angry son of Hades like most of the camp portrayed the Hades kids as. Elias smiled back at Simon, but found himself surprised when he asked about the language he'd spoken. It seemed most campers had come to expect it and accept it. "It's Swedish, actually. I'm a Swede, born and raised," Elias grinned, "and between you and me, Chiron cares a lot more about English swears than Swedish ones."
