— Leopardstar on RiverClan in Secrets of the Clans, page 40 Riverstar was the founder of RiverClan. You would always see his silver-gray pelt weaving in and out of dens, checking on members of his Clan. He worked with Thunderstar, Shadowstar, and Windstar in developing parts of the code. He was indeed generous and warm-hearted to his own Clan. However, his known flaw was his lack of interest in the affairs of the other Clans. He would skip Gatherings if he could.
Hailstar was the leader before Reedstar. He was a gray tom and known to have fought constantly with Shrewstar of ThunderClan for Sunningrocks. His valiant efforts were noticed and he is remembered even today. His notable deputies are Shellheart and Reedfall. Notable medicine cats during this time were Brambleberry and Mudfur. Reedfall succeeded Hailstar after he lost his final life in a battle with rats.
Reedstar was a small, brown tabby she-cat. She continued Hailstar's dream of reclaiming and keeping Sunningrocks with a stiff claw. Unfortunately, during one of these events, she had murdered the ThunderClan deputy and her reputation with the other Clans was forever tarnished. Mudfur, the medicine cat during her time, had saved the Clan from several bouts of whitecough but was unable to save the strong warrior leader when she fell ill herself. Her tactics in reclaiming Sunningrocks had costed her most of her lives. Her most notable deputies were Ripplepool, Salmontooth, and Ottersplash. Her reign was known to be one of the most bloodiest in recent RiverClan history. Ottersplash succeeded Reedstar.
Otterstar was also a brown tabby she-cat. She planned to repair RiverClan's bloodthirsty reputation by allowing moons of peace between ThunderClan and RiverClan. During this truce, she planned a calculated effort to retake Sunningrocks. It was a brutal plan that landed ThunderClan a crushing defeat, with a raid not only on the rocks themselves, but on ThunderClan's camp. Her forceful take made her not appear weak, but a tactician in the means of war. Unfortunately, she lost her final life in a brave rescue for RiverClan kits, drowning during a storm. During her reign, she only went through two deputies: Shimmercreek and Ducksplash. Mudfur, RiverClan's known longest living medicine cat died during her leadership. She was succeeded by Ducksplash.
Duckstar is the current leader of RiverClan. He was appointed deputy by Otterstar after the death of Shimmercreek. Due to Otterstar's recent death, Duckstar has yet to make a proper name for himself, but the Clans and RiverClan itself look forward to see how he plans to carve his own path. |

Yep definitely!
I was thinking it would be something similar to the clan tours in the guidebooks. So like a clan leader or cat in the clan would be directly speaking to the audience. That way you could fix in clan virtues and attributes without having to create a seperate section for it. I'll post an example when I get on my computer later today!

hey guys! i’ll try to get some work done on shadow today, but i had an idea i wanted to swing by y’all. keep in mind that it’s entirely okay to say no bc it’s kind of a cliche ^.^’
but i was thinking - what if we had some half-clan kits that were getting close to their apprentice ceremony? i was thinking maybe whichever parent they didn’t stay with was killed or died of sickness or something, so they have no idea about said parent. then after their apprentice ceremony, they go to a gathering and some cats there can’t help but notice that these apprentices look a lot like the younger apprentices from another clan - like, a couple of them are almost identical. and these apprentices all meet and are confused because “you look like me wth who are you” and have their own little adventure of figuring out that “oh my god we’re half-siblings? but? what?” and they become good friends through it and promote inter-clan friendships and stuff
idk it’s a cliche and not thought out entirely but i had an idea for a half-clan kit and got muse xD but fr i’m cool if you’d rather not lmao

Later today smh. So it turns out that I was actually a lot more busy that I thought I would be and I didn't have time to type of my introduction. If you want a better idea of what it is, remember the weird camp tours in the guidebooks in which, like, Squirrelflight represented Thunderclan and everything. It would be similarly set up, in which a cat would almost be touring the clans, and each clan would basically make a "pitch" and explain what their clan is all about. The cat giving the tour could be the leader or deputy or just a warrior. This way we don't need seperate sections for like, clan attributes and traits because most people already know those.
Ahh I think that's really cute khale! And like maybe the parents are like "hey maybe don't keep saying how close you look to so and so" and the apprentices can start completely oblivious to the fact that their trying to hide something. Very cute, 10/10.

It's just a really cute idea! So obviously one of the cats in the forbidden relationship would have to also have a mate in the clan, right? We're you imagining an Appledusk senerio where one cheated on the other, or something more along the lines of cats that split up, and one found a new mate?

So I think SkyClan is kind of a mix between ThunderClan territory and ShadowClan territory. So it'll be a dense forest that blends to a pine-ish forest. The border with ShadowClan is a twoleg path. They also own halfbridge, greenleaf twolegplace, and the clearing. So that's four landmarks. I got this off the wiki page for SkyClan. |

hmm - i think maybe a split bc they realize they can’t raise their kits in both clans. maybe the kits stay w the dad, and the mom takes another mate in her clan to make sure no one suspects anything? like a bluefur scenario, where she “lost” her kits or something?

You lower yourself deeper into the underbrush as unfamiliar voices pierce through the forest. You inhale softly, trying to slow your heartbeat- trying to stay calm. You don't know why you're so nervous. Two sunrises ago you'd been approached by five strangers, each speaking of cats in the stars and so-called "clans". It had taken you a few minutes to realize they were asking you to join them. Which was ridiculous. You were never one for large groups, and they were asking you to settle down, to leave your nomadic freedom in the dust.
And yet, when they had offered, you agreed to indulge them. They would make their best pitch, and you'd make a choice. You'd known from the moment you agreed that your life was about to change.
But there you stood, half-hidden under a fern, doubting all your life choices.
The bushes nearby rattle with movement, and you hear the voices again.
"We're not here for a fight. Especially not with someone who might not be aware of our borders."
"But how could you miss them. I me-""Hush now. The trail here is fresh." You hold your breath as two cats step out from the undergrowth, heading straight towards you. The first one, [brief cat description here], takes a few hesitant steps, his/her/their nose tracing the forest floor. The second cat follows close behind, her dark grey pelt a mess of tabby stripes and scars. Nervous energy crackles along your spine. If you don't make your presence known, there will be a lot more explaining if they discover you. But if they don't find you... Your tail twitches. Your ear flicks. The two keep getting closer. Making up your mind, you stumble out of the fern, hissing as your paw catches on a root. Before you can explain yourself, however, a heavy weight slams into you, knocking you to the ground. "Who are you?! What are you doing on ThunderClan territory? Did Skyclan send you?!" You blink, your mind trying to process everything that is happening. The tabby she-cat was starring daggers at you, her paws pinning you to the ground. "Uh- I, well you see...""Peace Tangleclaw." You flinch as another voice cuts through the forest, and a huge golden tabby tom emerges from a bramble patch directly behind the ferns where you were hiding. Has he been watching me this whole time? you wonder. How did I not notice?
"Goldenstar."
You immediately feel the weight release from your chest as the cat- Tangleclaw, steps backwards. "You two can head back to camp, this cat is a guest." The tom rests his tail on your shoulder, a friendly smile on his face. "Of course. I- we weren't aware." [Warrior description] states dipping his/her/their head in respect. As the two cats retreat into the forest, Goldenstar turns his attention to you. "I apologize for the rude introduction, not all of our warriors were informed of your audience today" You his, still in a state of shock. "Welcome to ThunderClan, the clan of honor and courage." |

ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ ». Okay so then one pair of apprentices would be older, like almost warriors, while the others would have to be younger. I'm not sure the actually length of pregnancy in warrior's canon, so if you know better feel free to share. Otherwise I think it works pretty well!.
kiwi cheesecake that would be really useful! I'm not sure about the other clans, but I know ThunderClan has definitely been trying to gain territory from it's neighbours so they probably don't get along well with SkyClan and WindClan. However, relations with ShadowClan and RiverClan are still probably decent, unless you have a reason!
mimikyutie I'm glad you're interested! Even if you don't have a clan, feel free to help us work out plots if you have free time!

Alright. I wasn't sure if warriors had stuck true to reality but I looked up a couple of examples, and with the exception of weird timeskip issues, they seem to last 2ish moons. So I would suggest a minimum of 3 moons of age difference, but it would more likely be somewhere around 4-5 moons if you wanted it more realistic.

Okay, this is a dopey plot idea inspired by something in a warriors fangame, but what if at one point, a few apprentices find a little hideout inside one of their territories, maybe towards a border, and decides to gather a small group of apprentices from other clans, and they sometimes sneak out sort of practice fighting together, sometimes just goof off. It'd be lighthearted, probably just friendship unless a crush or something comes out of it.
I dunno.

That could be cute, and definitely exploited for plots. Like if one of the apprentices decides to use what they've learned in an attack against another clan. If it extend to warriorhood, maybe what they learn about the other clans could even make one of the cats very popular, maybe a serious candidate for an apprentice or the next deputy and a rival or someone discovers the meetings and decides to blackmail them, threatening to ruin their life.

We have a lot if ideas for apprentices right now, did anyone have anything in mind for warriors or anything? I know we have the dark omen going on in SkyClan but there could also be a multitude of plots having to do with medicine cats and their relations. Like maybe two if them have beef with each other, and are trying to get the others to chose sides and all.
Speaking of medicine cats, leaders you have the right to decide if you want a medicine cat apprentice for your clan or not! You don't have to have one, so don't feel pressured if someone is asking you to make one. If it doesn't fit with the clan, it doesn't fit!

It'd also give good personal conflicts with the characters involved, having friendships beyond the borders, knowing that they'll likely be facing them in battle at some point.

Perhaps one clan could have a deputy that was getting close to having to move to the elder's den, and there's a lot of competition and rivalry between a few warriors that seem like the most likely candidates for the next deputy.

that could be interesting, especially if the cats in the rivalry were willing to get really dirty with it. like cats are getting set up, or false rumors are being spread about them, just the whole middle school girl tactics. maybe it would just be a couple cats causing problems, but the whole group gets the same reputation. maybe even that makes cats try to avoid being put in the spotlight because they don't want to become targets or something.

would you prefer me to make the shadowclan medicine cat or deputy khale? cause i have ideas for both so it really just comes down to preference? if you wanted to have the deputy lot tho, maybe you could have the current deputy as well, and then the actual deputy rank could go to the cat who inherits the role after they retire? idk just spitballing.
