(Thank you for understanding. I'm glad that you still like me enough to keep roleplaying with me :3 I'm really enjoying this actually.)
For a brief moment, Lucy did panic for real and she had to remind herself that this was Ryder and he wouldn't genuinely try to hurt her if he could avoid it. She followed his advice thrashing against the cloth in her best impression of a woman fighting for her life. Running on as little sleep as she was, it did tire her out and she cursed herself for maybe taking it too hard. Allowing herself to fall limp against Ryder's chest was releasing for more than one reason. It felt good to be pressed up against him, and at the same time it was a nice break just to relax and not have to worry about what would happen. The nagging thoughts did try to push their way back into her head and she clenched her teeth to try and stop the guilt and the worry from washing over her.

(Yay! I'm glad you like it. Would you like to do it?)

wow. ;-; that's really flattering. Thank you. ^_^ A lot of the time I don't get a response on my posts and it makes me feel really crappy ._.
(Yeah I've got no idea either. Perhaps we should say that it's modern times, but with very old ideals and only the very very rich can properly afford the technology?)
Lucy reached up to grip his collar instinctively when he picked her up, peering out through squinted eyes. "I packed a bag." She said very softly, "it has medical supplies and some clothes." She wasn't too concerned about the clothes, but she rather not be without he medical supplies should she be able to help it. "I want to be able to help you if I need too." She added after a quiet moment of walking. To b honest with herself, she though as a blush rose to her cheeks, it had been a very very long time since she had not had to walk somewhere it felt good to be able to be carried by the man that she loved.
--
New York City was large for the unsuspecting tourist - a person that went through the city as a fresh face and spent their time looking at menial things. For the resident, it was so much smaller and packed with too many people on an every day basis. But, for the spy, the assassin, the members of the Elite the city was so, so, so much bigger. Filled with crooks and scandals and less than legal activities. Though Elite was not completely legal in its own right, it still worked to make sure the crooks of the Big Apple stopped it from going rotten. Apparently Elite had been watching for this company for some time hence why Natalia was currently in the briefing room for some kind of mission. There were two chairs. She cast a look at the director who looked like he had no intention of starting until the occupation of the second would arrive.

(I know, right? And when you do, it's usually one sentence compared to the paragraph that you wrote. >.> )
(Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Almost like a semi-dystopian world. )
Ryder paused the moment she mentioned her bag. Of course, he had seen it, and had meant to grab it. Yet he had forgotten it the moment he picked her up. Casting another glance back, he acted as if he spotted the bag for the first time. Then quickly went back to retrieve it. They were wasting a lot of time, hut he knew how much her equipment meant to her. So, grabbing it the best he could, he took off once more.
~*
Dallas hurried down the hall towards the director's office. The man had been called for twenty minutes ago, but, like always, he had taken his sweet time in obeying the call. However, he spent a little too much sweet time. He had only meant to be late by five or ten minutes, but he accidentally got delayed even further. If he wasn't such a flood member of the Elite, he would have been fired, which might happen now, hence why he was adding a bit more haste in his steps.
Finally, at the 25 minute mark, he opened the door and strolled inside. "Sorry I'm late. This time, it wasn't my fault," he said, casting the director a grin as he sank into the unoccupied chair beside Natalia.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTING - I sometimes reply with sentences but I always bounce back if I can. - ROLEPLAY - Lucy nodded slightly in what seemed to be approval as he returned and got her back. She knew that they were wasting time as well, and she made a note to suggest that they go to a cashpoint sometime soon so she could take her money out before it was frozen. She was fairly well off from what wage she had from her work as a doctor. "We should see if we can steal a carriage." She murmured again, opening her eyes to look up at him.
--
"Dallas." Natalia greeted him formally with a nod of her head before turning her head back to the director who looked less than impressed at his tardiness.
"Now that you're both here, we can get started." The director looked between the two. "You two are so of my best agents, and I don't put that lightly." He tented his hands. "I know very well that the both of you can take care of yourselves in your own missions. But for this one, I need you to work together." Natalia leant back and scowled, but she knew better than to open her mouth. The director continued.
"Red and his men have been reporting to me that there is an issue with one of our face companies. What it is, we aren't sure. We are cautious to be sending in the both of you, so you will monitor the business from the outside and engage only if necessary." The director made a face before his expression returned neutral. He slid a folder to both of them. "This contains the necessary information for this mission."
He stood, excused himself and left. Natalia huffed and opened the folder, flicking through it idly. he looked up at Dallas through her eyelashes and then looked back down. "I'll organise the accomdation and our covers. Can you collect some weapons for us just in case?" She spoke formally and didn't raise her eyes from the papers in the folder. Even for someone who didn't know her, it was eay to tell that she wasn't happy with this arrangement. -"Knock 'em dead, darling."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTING - Below are some points I was hoping to do for the second plot. * While Dallas is recovering from the poison, Nat sneaks out to check on HQ * while there, she of course realises what happens and steals whatever documents she could carry and wipes most of the computer files, but in the process of this she' caught * she escapes with several cuts and bruises but nothing worse than a small slash across her arm * when Dallas is almost fully recovered there is a knock at the door claiming to be room service but is actually the people who destroyed Elite. * stuff happens * running away * etc.
You get the picture. - ROLEPLAY - -"Knock 'em dead, darling."

"Too risky," Ryder muttered as he navigated the alley ways. "If we can make it to the outskirts of town, I have a ride waiting. As well as a disguise that I wore coming here. No one but the people of this town would question it, but we're not going to be riding through this town again, so it should be fine."
The man stole a glance down at Lucy, his gaze softening. Adrenaline was starting to drain away, which meant he wasn't on killer mode, yet at the same time, it meant he could feel the pain and exhaustion beginning to creep into his body again. He tried his best to fend against it as long as he could, but after running for thirty more minutes, he had to stop. "I don't remember this town being so big," he muttered as he glanced around them.
~*
(Sounds like a great plan to me! We can fill in more details as we go, but that's a nice outline to follow. I'm excited. :3 ) (I also want Dallas to call her a nickname, just to get under her skin even more, but I didn't know of what to call her. Got any ideas?)
Dallas scoffed. "I've already got a truck full of weapons waiting for me behind the base," the man said, standing and stretching for a moment. "We're all set to go in that department. Is that the only thing you trust me to handle, or can I do something else?"
The question was a playful, yet he knew the girl wouldn't appreciate it. She was radiating with dislike for this mission. Even if she hadn't complained, he could tell. Which only means that the man couldn't resist getting under her skin. Of course, once the mission was underway, Dallas would become more serious. However, right now, he still had about 24 hours to be his normal, charismatic, and possibly annoying, self.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - Tali would really piss her off. - ROLEPLAY - Lucy had nodded at his response, and from that moment on had continually insisted that she walk on her own. When he finally stopped, Lucy looked up at him firmly. "You're still recovering from almost dying." She said, in her best doctor voice. "Put me down so I can help you walk. You've pushed yourself too far and I haven't come this far to lose you again." She pushed his chest lightly. "Let me walk, I'm perfectly able to."
--
Natalia bit back a scowl, silently telling herself to be polite. She knew that that voice wouldn't last long in the face of this man. She didn't know much about him, but from the few minutes that she did know him he was already grating on her nerves. Finally, she shook her head. "Do whatever rituals you do before you go out on missions." She finally looked up, eyes narrowing as she studied his face. "Whatever they may be." Without another word, she brushed past him lightly, pulling her phone out of her pocket as she called the hotel that was written on the forms. She stopped by the door and watched Dallas as she booked the room.
"Hello!" She said into the phone, her voice bright and unlike how she had sounded earlier. "Could I book a room please? My husband and I are going on our second honeymoon and we would like a room with a view of the whole city. Can you do that for us?" She held the phone to her ear and scribbled something on the page with a pen she pulled from her pocket. It looked very similar to the pen that the director often used. "Thank you! My name is Julianne Parker and my lovely husband is Gabriel Parker. Thank you. See you soon." She hung up, and pointed the pen at him. "The address is on the third page. The room is 4280." She spun on her heel and marched away. -"Knock 'em dead, darling." --

(Tali it is! XD)
Ryder sighed but knew she was right. She could probably move faster than him at the moment. So he set her down on the ground, making sure she was balanced before letting go of her. "We should be close to the edge of town now. Hopefully they're slow about raising the alarm. We might have time to get completely away before they renew the search," he muttered. Shifting the bag from one hand to the other, he used his free hand to take Lucy's before starting to walk again. Despite the ache around his wounds, he wouldn't stop to inspect them until they were safely hidden away at his place.
~*
Dallas couldn't help but laugh at the mention of "rituals." Did people really do those things? Well, he knew of some people that looked like they might, but he was certainly not one of them. Unless you call spending a night in a bar a ritual. He guessed it was possible, but he didn't tell that to her.
A smirk played on his face as he listened to her book a room at the hotel. The voice and tone she was using completely contradicted how she was acting a few seconds ago. He had to hand it to Natalia, she could be very convincing. She didn't even give him any time to comment about it before she told him the room info before storming away. Shaking his head, he grabbed the notes she had taken and left the room. This was certainly going to be an interesting mission, he thought to himself.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy squeezed his hand in return, glancing at him as they started to walk. Although she itched to check him over - all that running combined with her weight probably wasn't very good for him - she refrained from saying anything. It took them several minutes of walking to reach the edge of town, where Lucy noticed a cashpoint against the nearby building. She dropped his hand and dashed over to it. It didn't take long, but she withdrew several hundreds of dollars of money before running back over to him. "I had to get some out before they froze the account. Hopefully, this should last us." She showed him how much she got before she shoved it all in a safe place - which just happened to be her bra.
-
Natalia sighed as stopped, finally alone in the hallway. She slowed her pace and slowed her breathing once again, something she did often - mostly out of habit these days - because often times a lot of traps relied on the person's breath and heartbeat for it to work, but if it was nearly non-existent, it wouldn't be able to work. This still held dangers for her, she was aware of this and she knew what precautions to take.
She glanced behind her before stepped to the left of the path and taking the left turn, heading towards her quarters. There, she collected what little she needed to become Julianne and what supplies and personal weapons she used when on kill missions. With her bag packed and sitting by the door, she sat in the middle of her bed with a closed book on her lap and just sat there like the dead. -"Knock 'em dead, darling."

Ryder stopped when he felt Lucy pull away from him, yet he didn't follow her. It would be too risky if he did. Chances were, would of what happened hadn't spread here that quickly, so she should be safe while he stayed out of sight. When she returned, he couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Don't worry, you'll find money is not an issue," he assured her. "But it still might be good that you took some out. Might as well take as much of your belongings as you can. Now, my ride should be just around the corner here.
~*
Dallas walked up the hall to his own quarters. He didn't stay long, though. He just stopped in to fix his hair and picked up his wallet and keys. Then he went to hunt down his regular drinking buddies. Jason and Clyde were the two men who usually joined him for after work drinks. The two lower agents were actually good friends of his, and he had worked with them on many cases.
As they headed down the hall again, Dallas took a detour to Natalia's room. Stopping by the door, he knocked to let her know he was there. "Hey, Tali, not to ruin your beauty sleep or anything, but why don't you come join us for drinks. It'll be an early day tomorrow, so might as well get use to me."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy nodded in response. Looking up as they finally rounded the corner. She tilted her head at seeing the ride and smiled slightly as she recognised the horse that was going to be pulling it. It had been a foul when she had first met it and hadn't seen in for years. "Is that Cale?" She asked Ryder with a fond smile.
--
The knock startled Natalia out of her meditation and the nickname had her seeing red. She glared at the door as if her eyes could melt it. If looks could kill, even through the door Dallas would be dead twenty times over. She considered a snarky remark back but sighed and climbed off her bed to open the door. She was still glaring, but it wasn't as deadly as it had been. "If you want to be hungover for tomorrow morning. Be my guest. I'm not your wife who will be giving you an aspirin and some water." She leant on the door. "Got it? Good. Don't interrupt me again. and don't call me Tali." She slammed the door in his face and returned to her meditation. -"Knock 'em dead, darling."

Ryder smiled at her comment. "I'm glad you still remember him," he said. Walking over to the cart, he placed her bag in the back. Then he took off his mask before taking off his armor. "Here, I have an extra shirt and pants you can put on," he said, handing her the clothes. He took off his own shirt, showing the bandages that were starting to be stained with blood, and pulling on the simple, gray shirt.
~*
"Well, I hate to burst your bubble, sweetheart, but you kind of are," Dallas stated. "Isn't that right, Mrs. Parker? Besides, I don't get hangovers. I know better than that. I figured this would be a good chance to at least get to know each other better and work out a game plan for tomorrow. You know, so we're both on the same page."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy accepted the shirt and trousers and was about to step away to put them on when she saw that he was bleeding through. She covered her mouth to hide her concern, but it still shone through. "You've broken your sitches." She murmured, the concern even evident in her voice.
--
Natalia scowled at the wall, eyes narrowed. She hadn't forgotten that their cover was supposed to be newlyweds - but here, in this envirmoment, still at Elite they were just partners and nothing more. She sighed, climbing off the bed once again and opening the door. "Fine." She responded, "I'll come." -"Knock 'em dead, darling."

"I know, but we can fix them when we get to my place," Ryder said, pulling on his shirt. He then stuffed his armor into a wooden box before covering it with his tent and other camping supplies. Whenever he traveled to towns like this, he always made sure to bring this gear. As a poor traveler, it would be common for him to stop by the side of the round to camp out on long journeys. So if he got stopped, no one would be suspicious. He glanced back at her and motioned to the back of the cart. "Get on. You can just pull the clothes on as we go, but we have to leave now. You can move up front with me once where away from the town."
~*
Dallas gave no attempt to hide his smug grin. "Great! It'll good to have some female company for once. These two get can get kind of boring sometimes," he said, his voice joking as he nodded to his friends.
"Says the man who leaves us whenever a cute girl is in sight," Clyde shot back, fighting against his own grin.
"Because they're much more interesting than you," Dallas responded. He chuckled and stepped away from Natalia's door. "Come on, I'll drive and pay for the first round."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy nodded as she climbed up, resting for a moment as she started to pull the clothes that she had been wearing off. Keeping low, she managed to change quickly, even with the rumbling of the carriage. After several moments, they did finally leave the city outskirts and Lucy climbed out to sit next to Ryder.
-- Natalia sneered at him from behind his back, finding his comment extremly offensive. She followed after the three of them, closing her door behind her and double locking it with the key.
When they arrived at the bar, Natalia didn't say a word to any of them men that she had arrived with, rather ordering a large soft drink for herself and settling at the bar, alone and far away from Dallas and his friends. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be in her room, doing her mediation for what the mission would bring. As she slowly slipped her drink, she allowed herself to look around the bar. This place was run by Elite - under the table of course - so most of the patrons here she recognised. Some members of the public came in too, though they were more likley to be kicked out if they caused trouble. -

Ryder jumped into the bench seat, grabbing the reins. He waited until he was sure Lucy was inside the carriage before telling the Cale to trot down the road, away from town. He didn't look back as they left behind their old home town. Mainly because turning around would have caused more pain. When Lucy joined him, he smiled and looked over at her. "Are you okay?"
~*
Dallas walked over to the bar as soon as they entered the bar. He told the bartender to charge him the bill for the first round of drinks his companions ordered, taking a seat on the bar stool. Caleb took a seat beside him, ordering one of the more expensive drinks because Dallas was paying. The other man didn't have a problem with it. The Elite paid good money, so one expensive drink wasn't a bother.
Jason, however, walked over to Natalia. He was a bit more sympathetic to the woman who would be working with his friend. "So, you're going to be spending the next few weeks with Dallas," he said, sitting down next to her. "I don't envy you."

Lucy rested her head against his shoulder, but flinched away when she remembered the state his wounds were in. She rung her hands together in her lap. "I was running on adrenaline. I'm a little shaken now, tired." She murmured, absently listing off her symptom like she would if she was at a doctor's appointment. Habit she supposed, if she thought about it later. Right now, she was too tired to really notice.
-
Natalia eyed Jason out of the corner of her eyes and deided that his company was tolerable - meaning she didn't snap at him when he took the seat next to her. "I say that he likely feels the same about me." She responded, staring into the glass of her soda. "We normally work alone. That's how it's been for years - and now the director thinks that he can shove two agents together who have two very different styles and just believe that everything will go like it should?" She sighed at her little outburst and pushed her half empty glass away, moving to stand up. "I was right in the beginning," she said as she moved to get up. "I shouldn't have come."

"If you need to rest, then rest," Ryder said. "It'll take at least two hours to get back to my place. I'll wake you up when we stop." He turned his head o place a gently kiss on the side of her head. Everything felt normal again. It was amazing that even though moments before they were running from the cops and sewing up his injuries that he felt at ease. Lucy as next to him, and he wasn't constantly worrying if she was okay or if she would hate him if he ever went back to her. A weight had lifted from his shoulders which made the ride a bit easier to sit through.
~*
"Come on, you don't have to go," Jason said. "Yeah, Dallas is bit hard to get used to. It took me a while to let his personality roll off my shoulders. Once he's in the mission though, he straightens out, sobers up. He acts completely different. You'd be surprised. It's just when you're not working he can be a handful."

Lucy hesitated, but eventually nodded, "if your wounds get too much to handle, stop and let me tend to them." She squeezed his arm lightly before pressing a kiss on the side of his head. She climbed back in the carriage and rested her head against her bag. She closed her eyes and promptly fell asleep. She hadn't realised how tired she actually was.
-
"Dallas isn't the reason I'm leaving." She responded, still standing. "I understand what you're saying and I know that a lot of people are like that. Hell, even I'm like that. This - being here is not how I prepare for a mission. I don't care what other people do and how other people handle it - but not be. I don't like being in a crowded place drinking. I like to be alone for the time that I can be." She tilted her head as she considered him, "I appreciate your words, but this just isn't me." She moved to leave, "Tell Dallas that I'll see him in the room tomorrow, would you?"

A smile played on Ryder's face as she kissed him. "Rest well," he called her. It took more than two hours to make it to a small stables on the outskirts of one of the larger towns. In the distance, buildings reached into the sky, looking more like New York instead of the small town they had just left.
"Lucy, time to get up," he called.
~*
Jason nodded. "Alright, I'll tell him. I would offer to walk you back, but I don't want to risk getting hurt," he said with a small smile. "Good luck tomorrow."

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - You should sleep if you're tired then. - ROLEPLAY - Lucy let out a quiet groan as she woke up. She didn't feel very rested, but it was better than nothing at all. She moved and peaked her head out, looking over towards the small home, though her eyes did get drawn to the city. "Woah." She murmured, "Nice view."
-
Natalia gave him a look that very much said that would happen as she left. When she finally returned to her room, she resumed her meditation, eyes closed and breathing slow as she allowed herself to calm down from the last half hour of forcing herself to do exactly what she hated.
In the very early hours of the next morning, Natalia pulled herself out of bed, performed her morning routine and left the room with the bag she had packed last night - along with a few extra things thrown in on a whim. It was early when she arrived at the hotel and the concierge looked concerned that she hadn't turned up with her 'husband'. She waved it off claiming that she couldn't wait to see the city sights from their room and that he would be along shortly.
When she arrived in the room, she pulled out her knives to start cleaning them. After she did that, she sat in the middle of her bed. Not meditating - but once again breathing like the dead. -
"Knock 'em dead, darling."
