I adore ACOTAR so much!!!! In my humble opinion, ACOTAR is better than ToG. I mean, don't get me wrong, ToG IS a stinken fantastic series, but ACOTAR just grabbed my heart and would not let go!!! Rhys is there, in all his beautiful and wonderful glory, so what other book series can really compete? XD Gosh I can't WAIT for the books about Nesta and Cassian. Just destroy my life now because it's going to be a ride.
Seriously though, Maas is the ultimate author. QUEEN INDEED)

Oh my gosh, Kingdom of Ash had me bawling my eyes out so many times. I was not prepared for the majesty of that book. I literally holed myself away in my dorm room for two days (because that book was thicccc) and cried. My roommate would just watch me with this half worried, half confused look. Rhys is my baby. I love that man. T-T He is the reason why my standards are too high. I'm going to put my comments away so spoiler alert to Leo if you plan to read these books. aaaahhhhh yessss the endless debate in my brain. You know, I'll be honest. I can't decide. Part of me really wants Elain to soften to Lucien because I love him and I want him to be happy. When I first read about them, I kind of desperately wanted Elain to come around. he was just a little puppy following her and I get it. She went through a lot and lost the love of her life (even though he was a Grade A jerk to her), but I felt it was a little unreasonable to not even talk to Lucien. I felt bad for the guy.
Now, I lean more towards Azriel because Lucien was so absent in Elain's life. I mean he basically went off and abandoned her and Az was there. In my opinion, they have better chemistry than Elain and Lucien. I think Elain feels more comfortable with Az than her mate which really makes me sad. I understand not everyone is truly meant to be, but the romantic in me wants to work it out somehow. However, if Az can ever get over Mor, I think he would be good for her.
Sorry for the rant. Long story short, I can't make up my mind. XD What about you?

Cecily Abernathy “Alea iacta est...”
☼☼ ☼ ☼☼
It was only after she finished making the rounds on the wounds that Cecily finally succumbed to the numbness that had threatened to shallow her whole. She sank to the ground wordlessly, chest rising powerfully with a large breath. With her legs against the warm ground, she tried to think over the roaring ringing in her ears.
It was becoming hard to think. Hard to do anything except feel the pain in her head and abdomen. Gingerly, she put her hand to her sternum, her ribs and winced. Defiantly a few broken ribs in there. Fun. Cecily looked to the sky and gave a short, breathy laugh. How much more could go wrong? She supposed she could die from infection or a brain hemorrhage. Yes, that would defiantly make things go from devastating to deadly.
Cecily closed her eyes against the idea. It didn't sting as much as she thought it should. Maybe it was because of the shock. Nothing seemed potent enough right now. Shock was dangerous if prolonged; she knew that. Yet, what was she to do?
So she leaned back against the tree and watched as the other survivors either scrambled or walked around aimlessly. Over the roaring, she heard a snide comment from a man beside her and turned. His name was one that she had failed to commit to memory, but she remembered him... from somewhere. The plane ride seemed like a faraway dream. If things had ended differently then maybe she would have worked up the courage to ask him his name just so she could talk to him.
He was handsome. Even around the grime and dirt, blood and sinew, he was handsome. Cecily felt another tear slip down her cheek. He looked like the frat boys that would come to bars after football games and get so drunk they would sing till the last song played. His hair was the same shade of black, his mouth framed with the same laugh lines. He looked... normal. They all did. She trained her eyes on him and continued to feel the tears slid down her cheeks.
Cecily knew she would never be normal again.

(So imagine one race of people oppresses another for years on years and there is a whole other ancient race of magic creatures that were betrayed and almost killed off cause of reasons #ExplainingABookPlotBadly.
And basically how we start out is, one of the main characters, Laia, is part of the oppressed race and watches her older brother be taken into custody and her grandparents killed all in one night because oppressive race, Imperials, think her brother is part of the revolution against them. She joins the revolution only to get her brother back but ends up jumping through so many hoops that she just kind of gets roped into doing stuff. Other main character, Elias, is part of the Imperials and a trained soldier who basically doesn't agree with everything the Imperials are doing. And then it gets all dramatic, sad, and magic like)

Has anyone read An Ember in the Ashes (I have some words about this one) or This Savage Song? cause those are two series I really enjoy still) I have! Well, I've read An Ember in the Ashes, anyway. It's been a while now, but I remember it being a really awesome book. I've been meaning to reread it, but I'm kind of stalling because I don't want to fall in love and then have to wait ages for Ember4. xD

Sorry for the rant. Long story short, I can't make up my mind. XD What about you? SAME THOUGH. D': I had to stop reading because I couldn't see the words through my tears. It was definitely the best of the series. <3 Again, same. it is thanks to Rhys, and other amaze-balls book guys, that I will never find true love. xD You know, I'm the same. I love both guys and want them both to be happy, but I think I lean a little more toward Azriel and Elain. I feel like, given time, she could be happy with either, but I agree with you, I think she has better chemistry with Azriel. He deserves so much better than Mor (not that she isn't great in her own way, but she really needs to grow up where Azriel is concerned and tell him the truth of the matter), and I think Elain could be that someone. She has her own growth to go through before she can be with anyone, but that's what will make it such a great book.
As for Lucien, I kinda want to see him with Vassa. I think that's just the kind of unexpected but perfect match-up he needs. ;D

Agreeeeed. Such a good book. Honestly, Leo that series sounds interesting as well!! I’ll have to log that little tidbit of info away in the good old memory files. XD I have so many books I need to read.... it’s sad really. XD 100% agreement from me. Az and Elain could make a fantastic couple, but Vassa and Lucien just feels forced to me right now. Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen enough of her character to really know how they interact yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Could be good, but we will just have to wait and see. And why the heck did you do that Dreamer? XD I didn’t realize both Magic and Mylo were handsome with black hair. XD I mean, I’m not complaining because that is completely my aesthetic. I love black hair so much. But sorry I wasn’t super clear! It was Mylo that she was looking at because he was the one that made the comment about the plane exploding. Though I suppose it could be either or both. And Leo, feel free to introduce either of the twins. Cecily can handle another convo. )

Honestly, same. My to-read pile is so long, and it only gets longer every year when my favourite authors publish new books. xDx Yeah, I can see how you'd feel that way. It's something that could totally work and be epic; or it could just flop. We'll just have to wait and see what Maas has planned for those two (four). She'll probably find ways to surprise us. ;D Sorry? xD I originally only joined with Magic, but then I wanted a second character but I didn't know who to use. So I gave Elo three choices, and she chose Mylo. Although, there was a two in three chance I would have ended up with two black-haired guys anyway because I too favour dark-haired guys. xD And it's all good. Mylo had my vote, but I wanted to make sure before I replied. ;D

Mylo Evans ~ * ~ * ~ Staring at the burning plane became rather boring after a minute, so Edge turned away. Even though he was hurting, he felt restless. He needed something to do, but he also knew doing what he wanted to do - pull out his guitar, which, of course, was the first thing he'd pulled off the plane, and check it for damage - was a very selfish desire. He wasn't sure he cared, but he was distracted from that line of action when his gaze net that of the girl sitting at the base of a tree.
He paused, head canted as he held her stare. Where had she come from? Or had she always been sitting there? And why was she staring at him? Attention officially snagged, Edge changed direction and limped toward her. When he reached her side, his smart remark died on his lips. He was close enough now to see the tears falling down her cheeks, and while he would be the first to admit he could be a real asshole, even he drew the line when it came to teary women.
He leaned one shoulder against the tree above her and crossed his arms over his chest. Since she'd decided to stare at him, he returned the favour and kept his amber-eyed gaze on her the whole time. “You okay, reinita?” It was a rather stupid and pointless question - they were just in a plane crash, of course they weren't okay - but it was all he could think to say.

Cecily Abernathy “Alea iacta est...”
☼☼ ☼ ☼☼
As the man walked over - more like limped over - Cecily kept his gaze. Even when he stopped beside her, she tilted her head and too the side so she could continue to look in his eyes. It was harder to see him from afar without her glasses. With him so close, she could make out the color of his eyes and the blood on his leg. Was that why he was limping or what that someone else's blood? For his sake, she hoped it was foreign to him.
A minuscule piece of bark fell when he rested his arm against the tree, but it was enough to make her eyes squint. Around the ringing, she heard the address. Cecily tried to look away from the stunning amber of his eyes. Yet, his tone was fluid, homey... honeyed almost. She found she like the timbre of his voice. Besides, there was a slight accent, especially when he spoke in Spanish. So she didn't look away even though she knew she was staring and it was rude.
I banged my head hard, didn't I?
With a light shake of her head, she gingerly brushed away the tears. The stress and pain of her wounds brought out the brunt of her accent, "I'm fine. Your leg though... you're limping on it. Would you... would you like me to look at it? I have medical training."

Right? xD
Mylo Evans ~ * ~ * ~ Edge canted his head, causing a lock of dark hair to fall across his forehead. He ignored it, since he was used to his hair doing that. It fell forward all the time when he was playing music, and he almost never took the time to remove a hand from his guitar to push it back. He no longer bothered doing so even when his hands were unoccupied. "Medical training, huh? You going to be a doctor?" If he was unnerved by her staring, he gave no sign of it. He slid down the tree until he was crouched beside her, his bad leg stretched out in front of him, and his weight supported by his other leg and the tree at his back. "You can look if you want, but there's nothing to see. It's just sore." He shot her a crooked smile. "That's what happens when a plane crash gets it stuck under a seat." He didn't mention his possibly broken rib; the pain in his side had faded to a point where it was easy to ignore, so he was holding out hope it was just fractured, or possibly uninjured and simply sore because of the old break being aggravated by the crash.

Cecily Abernathy “Alea iacta est...”
☼☼ ☼ ☼☼
Cecily’s head tilted with his, mirroring his movements as he slid to the ground. The tears slowed to a crawl. Preoccupied now, she felt the thoughts racing through her head drift off into the corners. They would lurk there until the man left and she was left alone to really digest them again. But for now, she was thankful for the questions and the smiles. She tried to return a smile of her own.
It felt more like a grimace.
The recent graduate reached two grimy hands towards the man’s bad leg and singled to him before she began to feel the skin and muscle, “A surgeon. I worked as a paramedic for the past year or so. I’ve been accepted to Harv-”
She pursed her lips slightly. No. That would bring more tears. She trained her eyes on the beat up muscles. Cecily’s long fingers were well adjusted to physical examines. Lightly so not to hurt the man anymore, she worked her way up his calf and over his knee. There were defiant tender spots. She hit a knot and she began to message it out tenderly. The young woman looked at him again, “I don’t feel any broken bones, but you should be careful. You’ve got a bit of swelling in the lower calf. Sometimes swelling can cause more problems than the other injuries. You should really prop it above your heart to reduce the amount of swelling.”

Mylo Evans ~ * ~ * ~ At her silent urging, Edge shifted so she could reach his right leg. His pant leg was ripped along his calf, but whatever had caused the rip had, thankfully, not cut into is skin. As he'd said, his leg was just sore, like it was covered in one giant bruise, or like he'd fallen and twisted his knee wrong. He'd done that once, though he had to admit the pain now was a little more intense than the pain then. Some of her probing made him flinch, but some of it actually helped too. Maybe he should mention his fractured - broken? - rib.
"Harvard, huh?" he asked. She'd stopped before she'd finished naming the school, but it didn't take a genius to figure out what she'd been about to say. "That's impressive." He waved a hand to indicate her ministration on his leg. "So is that. It feels way better than it did. Muchas gracias, reinita." He offered her one hand for a shake. "I'm Edge, by the way. Music major."

Cecily Abernathy “Alea iacta est...”
☼☼ ☼ ☼☼
When the knot finally released, Cecily let a small sigh out. Her fingers moved up his leg towards the more tight spots and settled there as they talked. That's impressive. She shrugged, not looking his way. Harvard had been the only option for years. She had worked her way into their program; she had never deemed it an impressive feat when anyone could do it if they worked hard enough.
"I worked hard." Cecily bit her lip and closed her eyes to think. Her eyes had only recently started to ache without her glasses. She had attributed it to stress... she supposed that could still be the case. Stress and fear and pain. All of the above.
Dropping a hand away from his leg, she reached out and gripped it as firmly as she could, "Cecily Abernathy. Biomed. I wish we were meeting under different circumstances, Edge." A slight smile inched its way onto her lips. "I would say thank you back if I knew a bit more Spanish. Unfortunately, I only know Latin."
Being the parent of several languages, including Spanish, she should be able to pick up on more than she did. However, Spanish had always been hard for her. French had come easier than both Spanish and Italian. I really should have tried harder in high school.
Cecily moved down towards the swelling and worked there. Overall, his leg was in better shape than she had expected. With proper rest and care, she knew he would be fine. Still, she worked at the knots and swelling, if only to keep her hands and mind busy, "What instruments do you play?"

hey guys! So I have some kinda bad news. Due to some outside situations, and just being a bit overwhelmed with life, I don’t know if i can keep being active online. I’m gonna take a break for a while, and try and get my life together for a bit, and I’m not sure when I’ll be back.
That being said, I totally want y’all to continue this RP! If someone wants to take over my characters, feel free! Or, feel free to kill them off or something.! I just don’t want this to die bc I’m unable to stay active.
Again, I’m so sorry to leave like this, but I’m sure y’all will do great things with this RP! And I just didn’t want to ghost without warning.)
