Hey Quail!)) Littlepaw led them into the forest, searching for sight or smell of the owl. Finding little evidence, he trotted along, taking care to move quietly and stay within view of the coop. If the owl was picking off chicks, surely it had sight of them at all times? That's what the clan did, didn't they? Eventually the small tom caught sight of a large bird nest and his ears perked up, listening for the owl.

Flowerpaw followed quietly, making sure not to trip or step on something. This owl could easily kill one of them too. If it was big that is. She listened, her ears flicking at each sound made.

Flowerpaw could see he was going to do this without her and she felt a bit offended that he let her tag along yet wasnt going to let her help. but if he thought he could do this then he could she guessed. She took a seat and let him try.

Littlepaw managed to find a mouse quickly enough, and dashed out to the clearing, setting it down there. He waited below the tree, watching the owl fly out of the nest and towards the mouse. He quickly and gracelessly scrambled up the tree, barely managing to pull himself into the nest. The air was silent for some time, before the owl returned home and Littlepaw attacked. He soon realized he could not do this alone, however, as he was lifted into the air by the giant bird, barely clinging to it and letting out a blood-curdling screech of terror, along with, "FLOWERPAW HELP!" "Oh uh, that's a rogue we saw while hunting...He came with us back to camp but Ravenstep and Haysun told him to leave since he wasn't going to join us and was kinda being rude." he looked to the gardener apprentice with a small sigh. He hadn't ever seen Haysun threaten a cat before, if that was meant to be a threat. "Ah," Cloverpaw said, sitting next to him. She sat in silence for a few moments, then realized she should probably continue the conversation. "Why did he come here in the first place, then?"

Flowerpaw hopped up quickly, following the scream. She was luck this bird didnt have a hawks strength. It was too weak to carry littlepaw, even if he was smaller than the average apprentice. She prepared herself and leapt at the owl, clawing at its wing to drag it downward.

Flowerpaw clawed her way onto the bird and attempted to claw at its eyes though she wasnt all too successful.

The bird's sharp beak poked Littlepaw, tearing huge gashes along the small tom's pelt. Biting deeper into the bird's wing, he leaped back, wrenching the bone in a way it wasn't intended to go. The shriek the owl let out was horrifyingly loud, but it meant the apprentices didn't have to worry about the bird flying ever again. Letting go, he got directly in front of the bird. "Flowerpaw, when I say go, I'm going to run. When the bird moves after me, you'll have a clear shot at its neck. I need you to kill it. Got that?" His tone was calculating, free of snide or even fear as he thought through his plan.

Flowerpaw nodded. She had to admit, even if he was typically lazy, Littlepaw was smart when it came to planning things out. She prepared herself to pounce on the owl, awaiting Littlepaws signal.

Flowerpaw quickly leapt onto the thing and killed it with a rip at its neck, the bird letting out a sqwuak of short lived pain before it died.

She smiled at him, thankful for his genuine gratefulness. "No worries. If you want to tell Gracklefur you did it on your own though I have no issue with that." she nodded. While doing her best was important Gracklefur had sent Littlepaw out to kill the owl and now Flowerpaw. Not that Littlepaw didnt do anything, his planning made the kill possible.

"You are a tad lazy sometimes you've got to admit that. But I will say that you were reslly good at planning out how to kill this thing. Gracklefur ought to be impressed." she nodded to the owl when saying 'this thing'.

"If its worth something, I was impressed." she comments with a smile as she leans down to grab the owl and drag it to the camp with Littlepaw.
