So I got really interested in Mothflight's thread a while back about ThunderClan's timeline, and so I decided to make an approximate timeline between SkyClan's exile and Bluestar's birth, based on what I know:
I'm speculating a lot on this, but it's roughly based on this information (credit to Mothflight for some of the information) :
1. SkyClan were driven out 20 years before Bluestar's birth
2. Mapleshade's Vengeance pakes place 9 years before GC
3. Pinestar's Choice starts 3 years after Mapleshade's Vengeance (but most of the book will be the end of Pinestar's leadership) meaning it will contain ThunderClan before GC all the way to mid-way BP.
4. At the end of GC, Moonflower became a warrior- meaning GC lasts for 1 year.
5. Around the same time Moonflower becomes a warrior in GC, Speckletail and Oneeye are born. By BP, Speckletail is a young warrior and Oneeye is an apprentice (obviously a result of ill planning) but in general we can assume that they were around 1 years old. That makes the time from the start of GC to the start of BP around 2 years.
6. Redstar was leader when SkyClan was driven out
7. Oakstar probably succeeded Redstar
So in general, looking at the filled gaps I assumed, Mapleshade -> Bluestar's birth lasted 10 years, while another 10 years lasted from Mapleshade back to SkyClan being exiled. I think XD
However, I don't know yet when Doestar became leader. All we know is that she succeeded Beetail and later succeeded Oakstar. And we don't know how long Redstar and Oakstar were leader :/
So... regarding Pinestar and Leopardfoot, if that timeline's true- Pinestar was born 3 years after Mapleshade died, became leader at the age of 5, was 7 years old when Bluestar was born, and then 1 year later, at the age of 8 had kits with Leopardfoot- who was almost 2 years old...
Idk... yeah, the age gap is pretty big... but it's not terrible? If anything, the generation gap is scarier than the actual age gap. Pinestar was 4 years old when Leopardfoot's mother, Swiftbreeze, was an apprentice.
But anyway, I think I heard one of the Erins say that SkyClan was driven out half-way between the beginning of the clans and Into the Wild or something. If that's still true (which I doubt, since that statement was, like, ages ago), then if
Bluestar's birth -> Into the Wild lasted... say 4.5 years, that would make SkyClan's exile -> Into the Wild about 25 years. Making the end of DOTC to SkyClan's exile probably another 25 years long. Making the clan's existence till Into the Wild around 50 years long (give or take a few years that include DOTC, or pre-clans)
But yeah, if anyone wants to correct anything, that'd be great.
