"Fluffpaw! Stop!" Eelshock moved to the apprentice's side and nudged her back. "That's Waspstrike! He's my father!"
Waspstrike sat down a few feet away from them, eyes watching closely and whiskers twitching in amusement. "Quite the little she-cat you've befriended, my son."
"I don't understand." Eelshock looked back at his father with surprise still hanging on his face. "You're alive?!"
"No." Waspstrike looked away. "You were correct in your hunch, Eelshock. This is the Dark Forest. I called you both here for the past couple of nights." He looked back at his son. "You seemed at home here."
Eelshock tilted his ears back. "You and mother always said the Dark Forest was nothing to fear."

I’m anything but little.” She growled lightly with warning, though something told her that running at this tom was a bad idea.

"A fire in the little fluff, that's good." Waspstrike huffed in amusement.
"Why are we here?" Eelshock looked at his father in confusion. "It's not that I'm not glad to see you, but Earthstar forbids anyone from coming here."
"Earthstar is blind to what can be." Waspstrike shook his head. "Eelshock, Fluffpaw, I called you here because I've listened to your conversations. I believe you two can do better...you can succeed where we failed."

She kept at Eelshock’s side, knowing that a part of her should have been defending Earthstar. Even so, she couldn’t bring herself to. “And what exactly have you been overhearing?” She frowned. How far could the Dark Forest hear?

"You think a father would check in on his son?" Waspstrike frowned lightly at Fluffpaw. "I've been hearing your grievances about Earthstar and everything that is happening to the Clans after the fire. ShadowClan is allowed to have Fourtrees without any objection? And the Clans are fighting over scraps of prey?"

“That...” Fluffpaw hesitated, stubbornly turning her head but nodding softly. “Yeah. I guess so...I’m surprised that you seem to care. I thought cats that go here didn’t fancy the clans anymore.” She inquired, the heat in her voice fading into a more curious sternness.

Waspstrike sighed softly. "We did fancy the Clans. To tell you true, Adderstar had noble intentions when he started AdderClan, but his own ambition and power got in the way. The goal of AdderClan was to unite the Clans for the better, but we blinded ourselves and corrupted our cause."
Eelshock blinked at his father, his ear flicking in uncertainty.

Eelshock blinked at his father, his ear flicking in uncertainty. “So you failed.” Fluffpaw mewed bluntly, stepping a bit closer to Eelshock, but keeping her eyes on the dead tom. “You all led your Adderclan to ruin...that’s what I was always told. I was taught that my grandfather and grandmother were cruel and selfish, and that their followers were blinded by arrogance...so you’re saying you believe we could do it the right way?” She asked.

"It's StarClan's will that it is done the right way."
Eelshock blanched in surprise. "StarClan's will? What do you mean?"
"You think Adderstar got the idea to bring the Clans together on his own?" Waspstrike snorted. He got up and walked around his son and Fluffpaw. "StarClan appeared to Adderstar in a dream when he was just an apprentice. They destined him to unite the Clans and bring peace to the forest. StarClan wants to end the fighting, end the borders, and end all differences. Adderstar was on the path to do it; however, he took destiny into his own hands. He took the power that StarClan gave him and decided for himself who gets to be a part of the single Clan. He decided only the strong deserve the entire forest and when StarClan expressed their disapproval, Adderstar thought himself better and he defied them. StarClan would not have opposed AdderClan in the Dark War if Adderstar had just followed them. He would be the leader of all the Clans like StarClan destined had he not fallen to his own ambitions." Waspstrike let out a sigh and shook his head. "Now, all of us are condemned here because we blindly followed Adderstar. Our only shot at redemption is to set things right."

Fluffpaw listened with wide eyes, not sure if she believed the tom's words or not, though the prospect of Starclan once believing in Adderstar did hold a shred of sense. How else was he able to even become leader if he truly was an enemy of Starclan? How could he succeed if he only believed the strong deserved a place? It was the duty of the strong to protect and care for the weak. It would be what she would have done...
"And you think we are suited to do it better?" Fluffpaw asked lightly, a part of her giddy at the thought of that. Of being good enough to one day lead her clan to greatness and peace.

"You are already asking the right questions." Waspstrike nodded to Fluffpaw. "Already seeing that Clans would be better off as one. If I approached anyone else, they would laugh in my face, but you two." He looked from Fluffpaw to his son. "You two already know that the Clans need each other. Perhaps, StarClan has destined you to right our wrong?"
Eelshock blinked in surprise. Did his father really believe that? That they were destined by StarClan? "Could it be possible?"

Fluffpaw was silent for a moment as she digested Waspstrike’s words. Of everything she was told, the Dark Forest could not be trusted, was full of evil cats who wanted nothing but control...and yet, his words did hold a ringing of truth. It was what she wanted, to end the battles and deaths by ensuring all the clans stood under one allegiance. Surely Starclan had to favor Riverclan by sparing the land in the flames. They could make it better, they could... “Say that we did agree with you.” Fluffpaw started carefully, her ear flicking. “If we told the clan, surely they’d think we have bees in our brain. Are you saying that our thoughts are supported here?” She asked.

(Of course! Wanna start lol) (Bet) Meadowbrook gave a light growl as she stood to her paws. Pregnancy was wretchedly inconvenient, but she had grown more and more keen of the thought of kits being born from her, to teach and to raise and to fight for and alongside. She flicked her tail, her belly beginning to swell to show evidence of her pregnancy. Fallenlight had already known, but perhaps she would enjoy the fact that she had convinced Brownleaf to choose her over Windclan once the time came.

Fallenlight flicked her ears the windclan exile shaking her head as she chuckled moving from the darkness as if she melted into view from the shadows, "My My My look at you," she smirked before twisting around the pregnant she-cat. Her gaze never leaving Meadowbrook before she sat down off to the side her tail curling neatly around her paws, "You look fat," she rolled her eyes.

Her gaze never leaving Meadowbrook before she sat down off to the side her tail curling neatly around her paws, "You look fat," she rolled her eyes. “I would assume so with kits growing inside of me.” Meadowbrook snarked back calmly, though she dipped her head in respect to her powerful mentor. She mewed tersely. “Brownleaf was easy to reach. Windclan truly doesn’t know how to spot a rabbit in a rabbit-hole anymore. Needless to say, he’ll be at my side again once our kits are born. Given enough time...and I’ll have my kits ready to get rid of Swiftstar and his Moor-Runners.” She decided.

The she-cat watched her, eyes seemingly emotionless as she smirked her tail tip twitched, "Good to hear. You better be sure to hold up to your promise. The more of us the better. Teach your kits well....let the darkness roam through their veins," her gaze trailed down to the she-cats belly, "They are our future," she meowed. She held her head high there werent too many of them anymore and that needed to change. With so many dead they needed live bodies to work through the clans. So far things had been a disaster and it irritated her to no end. If she was still alive she would show the clans a thing or two. Her body shifted slightly, "Since training is out of the question. I want to hear your plans on corruption. Explain to me how you will get more cats to willingly follow the darkness, to give into it, and enjoy it," she meowed.

Meadowbrook watched Fallenlight, basking in the she-cat's confidence and strength. She aspired to hold that kind of power in her paws. All the blood she had spilled between her paws held nothing to the kind of victory that Fallenlight held over herself. She knew her destiny and her path, and never wavered. Meadowbrook's tail lashed quickly. "Though they may not train here anymore, Splashstone made something clear to me after a training session. His fear of Starclan holds him back, for he and his sisters are half-clan. I have a suspicion that they are not the only ones. Perhaps it's time to begin turning the faithful into the faithless. Siltpath was rouge-borne, with no Windclan blood. They believe that this fire was a sign from Starclan. One of punishment. I want to feed off of that loss and fear. I want to turn their fear of Starclan into hatred for a system that will never see them as Windclan warriors no matter how hard they work." She started.

Fallenlight couldnt help but smirk watching her, "Turning the faithful into the faithless is always a strategy. When the truth is told and the understanding sets in I want you to watch and soak in the light dying in there eyes. Im sure you have watched the light fade when one dies. But watching as a soul is broken and ripped from its faith is so satisfying," she smirked stretching out as she tilted her head, "In the end the stars hold no power like the faithless. They will tear families apart for the sake of anything real they can hold onto. Use that to your advantage, once they loose their faith. Blood will be spilt and the ground will run red once more. Those moor-runners will never outrun the red river," her eyes glowed wickedly.

"Kin are not dependable. Starclan even less so. Starclan never protected my father. Starclan let him perish, and it will continue to let all those that follow it blindly fall into line." Meadowbrook growled hatefully, the root of all her anguish still lying in the death of her father, the body that had never been found, lost somewhere in the tunnels, never to be seen again. Her claws flexed furiously before she took a breath and relaxed her muscles. "My own sister...as if she could ever understand. Windclan is stronger without Starclan. We all are stronger without Starclan." She decided. It felt so utterly good to say the words with such certainty. Why had she ever once feared Starclan, when power like this could so easily be in her paws instead?

With that confirmation Fallenlight smirked darkly. The darkness having totally consumed the she-cat in front of her, she could practically taste it rolling off of Meadowbrook. The inky blackness that tainted everything it touched and consumed the light would never leave her. The she-cat slowly got to her paws the powerful killer was rather proud as she padded closer her paws stopping by her side as she whispered into her ear, "Never forget what you have just said. Revel in it... let it fuel you," she smirked before moving away, "Come I want to show you something," she spoke. The way she worded that could have been taken as a suggestion but the tone was an order, a command and one not to be ignored.

Fallenlight smirked before coming to a stop the fog was thickest here though the air here shifted, "Take a good long look," she meowed her eyes drifted around her, "This is the edge of the darkness.... through the fog...there is light beyond. We can not pass....but on that side....the light glows. The stars are waiting to be snuffed out one by one," she growled lowly.

She narrowed her eyes furiously, lashing her tail. “I want nothing to do with them. They never spared my father, they do not protect the Tunnelers. I bet they are simply skipping at the chance to lord their pure power over us all.” She looked at her mentor, the hatred in her heart growing even more as her misery in youth, the days and nights searching for Jayberry, the envy she felt for the respect her sister gained as a Moor-Runner. Starclan had made her feel weak. The Dark Forest had made that weakness into strength. The blood on her paws had proved it, the death of the clans strongest Moor-Runners had proved it. “I’ll snuff them out at your side. Now and forever, Fallenlight.” She promised, looking at her mentor with promise.

Fallenlight's tail tip twitched but her body remained still as she stared at the border, "One day the darkness with snuff them out. Little by little we will cloud there light until its suffocated. Once powerful leaders will cower like the pathetic kittens they are. True strength lays in the darkness. It hold you fears and anxieties and pushes you past them," she meowed looking away from the boarder back towards her apprentice beside her. The pregnant queen held promise and surely she would continue the darks works. The path laid out in front of them....they will take control of the skies and the forest below. The light will fade, that was a promise.
"We will hold you to that promise....you and those that ally with us will have your day," the ghostly she-cat nodded her head looking at the boarder once more.

A world where strength and determination would come from pain and weakness. A world where no cat had to ever bow to Starclan’s pretty lies. She shifted as one of the kits inside of her moved, and she released a breath, as though trying to soothe the unborn kits into silence once again. Her ear flicked lightly. “Siltpath is still young, and may be easier to persuade back, though I find the younger the cat, the easier to make see sense.”

Having family, loved ones, and those they care about be taken by the stars can break ones heart. If you can sneak a speck of darkness into them....watch it slowly spread and grow. It always works with the broken and they in turn become the faithless," Fallenlight meowed smirking slightly.

The death of my kin fueled me. Perhaps we can use the deaths from the fire to fuel another. Life in Highstones has awakened new possibilities. Perhaps when the time comes, Windclan could one day permanently claim them. Perhaps we can prevent cats from even contacting Starclan. What good is a Moonstone if the clans cannot get to it?” Meadowbrook mused, looking deep in thought. “Swiftstar is too cowardly to ever do it. I plan to get rid of him first and foremost. These kits, they may be the best way to do it.”
