" i'm coming for what they said i couldn't have. " Accompanied by: Rosalina Kaolin sat beside his sleeping sister. He grinned softly to himself before picking one paw up, and digging it into her side. He prodded her in this manor twice more before he decided to stop.
"Ros. Ros. Ros, get up. I wanna spar, and no one will spar with me. I know you remember how to fight. Pleaseeeeee," he begged, leaning down so that he was level with her smaller body. He loved his sister, and she was very notably his best friend in the clan. They'd always been close, since she was born, and Kao had deemed himself her protector. It didn't exactly hurt that he was training to be a protector. He'd always been a bit too strict with her, but it was only because he loved her so much.\

| A ugustus sat in the corner of watching as everyone part took in the feast. He could feel the excitement ,joy, and cheer everyone had for this banquet. He was indeed graceful for Spiritclan, the rest of his house, and clan mates to be here as well. It's just...something felt off and couldn't keep his paw on it. Everyone seem fine but on the inside he had this feeling that something was off. Why, he couldn't say. As son to Dame of Soldiers and being a well-respect solder himself he could just get himself a choice hare and be done with it but no. The blue tabby just look onward at the feast and his participants. He wasn't hunger anyway. He looked up and sky wish he could see the stars fully but there was nothing expect clouds that blocked his view. He even went without his collar to show off. What would his mother think now? Maybe just knowing everyone was having to great time was good enough for him. |

ϟ Gallius ♛ Saptarishi ϟ [ Camp ; ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » ]
If Gallius was shocked to see Freyja - the tough, perky Princess - cry, he did not show it. Instead, he simply wrapped her into his embrace. A gesture that seemed both so right and so wrong for the stoic and cold-mannered tom. He allowed her to lean into him, cradling her body like she was a little kit. "I had a sister," he began, struggling to keep the tremors from his voice. "Her name was Sayonara. She was beautiful, strong and brave. A lot like you, Freyja. Stubborn as Taurus she was." Gallius chuckled softly. Sadly. "We were best friends, did everything together. An inseparable pair. Of course, we had our fair share of disputes, but it would usually blow over in a day. We'd argue, declare our vehement hate towards one another, then make up in time for bed. And that would be that," the King felt his breath hitch in his throat. As if the words, the ones he'd swallowed back for so long, caused him physical pain to utter. "Then, a plague swept over the Clan. It was a bleak and frightful time. Cats that were healthy one day would suddenly fall ill and die the next. The plague took the lives of many SpiritClan cats, including the lives of both my parents." It was here where Gallius broke. Silent tears rolled down his cheeks, blurring his vision into a foggy haze. "Looking back at it now, I can see how we dealt with our grief differently. Sayonara and I. She, being five seconds older, took a more responsible approach. She busied herself with leading the Clan in my parents' stead. She was young, barely older than you are now, and the pressure was massive. But she never broke, never cracked. She couldn't afford to." Taking a deep, calming breath the tom continued on. "I, on the other paw, ran wayward. I became obsessed with putting a name to the illness that took my parents and finding its cure. Just as she lost herself in leadership, I lost myself in research. It got to a point where I decided to become a Healer, abdicating my status as Heir, and the responsibilities that came along with it. Needless to say, Sayonara didn't approve of my choices. I was the only Celestial Summoner left in the Clan and thus, the more reasonable Heir to the throne. She and I argued over and over again about how to clean up the mess we were in at that time. She'd say that I was running away from my duties, and I'd say that there was nothing keeping her from taking the position of Queen. Since, there's nothing written in the SpiritClan laws about which House a leader has to come from in order to be eligible to lead. It eventually got to a point where we stopped speaking with each other for days on end. When we did speak, it was to argue and bicker. One night, after a particularly bad argument, Sayonara stormed out of Camp. I was too proud to run after her, and figured she'd be back before morning." Gallius paused here, trying to re-gain his composure. "That was the last time I ever saw her. She went missing. Search parties combed the territory for days, but the only thing we found was her scent, a few tail-lengths from the border wards. For the longest time, I was numb. Unable to do anything but lie in bed and feel sorry for myself. It took lots of tears, screaming and moping, but eventually I was able to piece myself back together, and step up as a leader." Blinking back his tears, Gallius looked Freyja, dead in the eyes. A fierce expression upon his features. "I wasn't a good leader from the start. I made mistakes. Terrible ones. Those mistakes cost me the life of my sister, but I learned from them. These burdens, Freyja, the ones you've shared with me. They're only natural, and they're not going to go away, or even lighten. It's up to us to learn to live with them, and eventually become stronger."

Castiel- - - Camp, with Whom, Tags. Returning to camp not long after the king and his daughter, the shy healer did his best to keep to the shadows as he wound his way through the cats until he had found his nest. There he set down his find for the afternoon, not prey but herbs he had been searching for. Whilst not as successful as he might have hoped his efforts would be, but it would have to do. As much as the Yuletide feast was meant to be a celebration, some of the more unruly cats took it as an opportunity to beat the mouse dung out of one another, and in preparation of such; Castiel had ensured he had plenty of herbs to treat any of the various wounds that might result from sparring. Needless injury, he grumbled to himself with a shake of his dark furred head. The tom had never understood the need of any of it. Despite being one of the younger healers, Castiel was rather mature for his age, and in the eyes of some of his peers rather condescending. But Castiel wasn't the type to especially care for reputation, more than happy to keep himself to himself unless needed. But on days like this, even the most isolated of cats had little choice but to join in the activities. And whilst he had no intention of hurling himself head first into a battle of any kind, in truth the handsome healer looked forward to a celebration with his clan. He of all cats understood the need to celebrate. Difficult times were ahead, and opportunities like this were prime for bringing the morale of the clan up. Castiel could only pray their future would be simplistic in spite of the harshness of the weather. But Castiel knew not to be overly optimistic Rasping his tongue across his maw when he heard the announcement from their king, the tom cat remained where he stood in hungry silence. His gaze fixed solidly on the fresh kill pile, but knew to wait his turn. Young as he might have been, he wasn't stupid enough to risk stepping out of place until it was his turn to move forward. Even if he didn't want a fight, that was a sure fire method of losing an ear or two at the claws of a more competitive higher house. As a result, the tabby tom waited as patiently as he could manage. Rather fixated on an especially plump juvenile hare that seemed to be tempting him. Settled quietly, he watched his clanmates make their way for the fresh kill pile. Left to simply hope by the time it was his turn his choice would remain among the options.
Roevra- - - Camp, with Whom, Tags. .Having worked herself until her paws felt like they were on the brink of falling off, the last thing on the midnight black shecat's mind was eating. Instead returning to her nest sounded especially appealing at that moment in time, but she knew she would be deigned rather a party pooper had she decided to take a moment to herself to rest. As a result, the dark furred crafter was settled comfortably to the side of camp's centre, content to watch her clanmates for now, but not join in the festivities. Almost asleep by the time the king had made his announcement, Roevra blinked her eyes open once again to see camp alive with activity all at once. Flicking an ear back as she heard Kaolin challenge Rosalina to a fight. Roevra poorly stifled her chuckle at the conversation, never one to turn down an opportunity for a good fight to test her skills and busy her paws. Even the black cat couldn't find the energy in her to put up a reasonable fight. But once the night was properly rolling, Roevra felt no worries that she wouldn't be sparring like the best of them. But for now she was quite content to rest her eyes. Roused from her light doze as the king and his eldest daughter walked past, Roevra was clever enough not to make it apparent just how closely and curiously she was watching them. Unfortunately they had pulled free of her hearing range, but found herself surprised and made uncomfortable to notice that their princess and future Queen was crying. Twitching her ears with shock, some future queen she's going to make, she grumbled to herself turning away from the pair mostly from frustration. Roevra didn't approve of the clan's system, and whilst she wouldn't admit it aloud for the fear of he life. If she had her way things would change, and cats would gain position from their worthiness to it, and not because of the blood they carried. But the beautiful crafter knew things were not going to change any time soon. Gallius would never allow it. More refreshed but mostly from the frustration now burning through her veins, Roevra cast her gaze over camp with a curious flicker in her eyes. She realised it appeared to be her turn to take something to eat, and seized the opportunity without much hesitation. Weaving her careful way through the cats, she sifted through the piles offerings. Until she made away with a rather plump trout for herself. Noting indignantly that it had a little snow caught in its scales, but still deeming it worthy of her first meal of the night. She made her way away quietly, and settled down alone to eat.

༄ Esmeralda ❀ Cygnus ༄ [ Camp ; 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] Esmeralda had recently returned from fetching holly for the Clan. It seems I made it back in time for the feast, she mused. Glancing around Camp, she saw that the Queen and many other high-ranking cats already had a morsel in front of them. Being born to the esteemed Elika Cygnus did occasionally have its perks, and this situation was one of them. Her high birth meant she was eligible for a piece of a fresh-kill before most of the other Healers, and even a few middle-ranking Soldiers and Shadows. Placing the hard-earned holly near the rest of her herbal stock, the she-cat padded towards the fresh-kill pile. She held herself with a quiet air of dignity, that seemed to resonate with the other cats, who parted quickly for her. It was no secret that Esmeralda was one of the best Healers the Clan had seen in a while. (Some said she was even better than her mother, which made the she-cat shiver with an inexplicable emotion). She chose to take a juicy deer leg. Clamping her fangs around the morsel, she could already taste the delicious meat. It made her salivate. Now all that was left was to find some company to share the evening with.
A slight frown curled her lips as she scanned the crowds. Esmeralda rarely spoke with her fellow Clan members, and there wasn't in particular she was close with. However, once she spotted Castiel sitting alone, she strode towards him. (Dragging the deer leg behind her). Stopping in front of the tom, she offered a shy smile. They were acquaintances, and had spoken to each other a few times. "Hello, Castiel," she greeted. "How are you faring on this fine evening?"

" move in silence. only speak when it's time to say 'checkmate'. " Accompanied by: Gallius Oh. Oh. She - she hadn't known, about his sister. She hadn't even known her father had a sister. And - oh, spirits, her father was crying. Freyja leaned into her father, pressing her warm pelt against his. She couldn't find words, but her gesture spoke enough that she didn't need to. Her father never spoke of a sister, and Freyja supposed she could understand why. If anything ever happened to Rue, well, Freyja was sure she'd be inconsolable.
"I didn't... I didn't know you had a sister, pa. I'm sorry, about what happened to her. But - thank you, for telling me. And for reassuring me. It makes me feel better, knowing that whenever I get scared or I make a mistake, I've got you and everyone else to help me through it. I love you, pa," she meowed, closing her eyes and settling down onto her stomach. She flicked her tail tip quietly for a moment, before looking up at her father once more.
"Come on, Pa. Let's get back and eat some more," she purred, her fears finally diminished.

ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » Those are fighting words, XD. Augustus would love to put his skills against the heir and princess. The princess and Heir to Spiritclan against the son to the Dam of soldiers. That drama, spicy drama. Maybe a rivalry will happened to whoever wins. Augustus would watch with interesting and take notes on Freyja weakness in hoping of getting the edge against her.
