I was first introduced to Warriors, not by the books, but by roleplayers on the online community on the DSi called Flipnote Hatena. I really looked up to this particular artist and roleplayer in the four clan rp that basically shaped the rp community there to have... very edgy cats. The four clans were Lightclan, Goreclan, Phantomclan, and Spiritclan, and most characters were everything you picture when it comes to edgy Warriors ocs, and they often didn't have proper warriors names (A lot of them, including mine, had one word names). That creator who lead the way had an oc with goggles and a spike collar, so wouldn't you know it, my character also wore goggles. It was also a major trend for characters to be possessed in some way, which my character was as well.
I later learned that Warriors was a book series, so I got into reading through the first series. I didn't have anyone to play with in real life, so even though I had Flipnote Hatena to rp on, I tried to get my 15 year old brother to play Warriors outside with me, and I actually carried leaves in my mouth to be like a medicine cat. He made fun of me, so I didn't try to LARP Warriors again after that. I was 11.

Why is "playing warrior cats" when you are younger cringey? It seems completely normal and fun and not embarrassing to play games like that with your friends when you are a kid. Same thing with forum RPs (which I did do) The only thing cringey about it would be if you created stupid plots or characters (like those edgy oct earlier posters had mentioned) or Mary Sues with a thousand powers or multicolored cats or something like that.
Personally, I never did the larping with classmates thing but I did play this game with a die where you would make a warrior cat and roll to determine what happened to you (like if you died, or advanced to a higher rank) and sometimes I would get my mom to play and act out/tell a story. I still do it sometimes with my 11 year old brother, who turned out to like the game too. But I don't see why that's cringey, unless all kids who play imaginative games are cringey.

I think it’s how out of hand it gets (young children hissing at teachers or scratching/biting classmates over ‘territory’ or other disputes), or the age you do it at (there’s a difference between a 6 year old and a 14 year old doing imaginative play; I don’t really have an issue with either but I certainly cringe at stuff I did when I was 14, and if one of those was warriors larping in high school..I dunno how I’d feel about that). But I don’t consider dnd (what it sounds like you’re doing) cringey. If one of my friends came up to me now and bit me claiming that I was invading their territory I’d probably cringe pretty hard tho.

I don't think I've done anything cringy, but I do have some old (and pretty bad) drawings of Warriors characters where I basically copied the end result of a drawing tutorial instead of actually following the tutorial...

Oh god... I remember doodling awful ocs in my binders. And then getting slightly better, but my art looking less ugly cute and more unsettlingly bad.

My friend had her own RP site...which I joined...and made many terrible OCs. She eventually lost interest in Warriors and handed ownership over to me. I still technically own it if the host site hadn't killed it yet.

Just think, there must be someone, here among us, who used to write Warriors lemons ......... it could be anyone ............. it could be you![](https://media.tenor.com/images/4df49bcb1ceb2886070154aef8b6c27d/tenor.gif)
So funny story over a year or two ago I found out there were warrior lemons for the first time and it freaked the heck out of me despite me being a grown adult i was just not expecting that to be what i was reading on fanfiction and all when i clicked the title i freaked out so bad i guess my brain short circuited because I had the GREAT idea to post the link here and be like "WTF EVERYONE WHAT IS THIS LOOK AT THIS" which got me to a 90% warning level (which has since been taken away) and had "No sharing lemons" added as one of the bold moderator-made threads that you see on the top of every page. And not Lightflame won't let me forget I was the reason they had to explicitly ban lemons Oh God I remember that.

When I was in the fifth grade, the boys in my class liked to play fight by pretending to be knights, ninjas, or anything like that. I told them that they should be warrior cats instead. They didn't know the books (I was the only kid in my class to have read it) so I acted as a narrator. Basically I made up my own DoTC story of how the clans were formed, long before those books actually came out. Also I didn't know SkyClan was a thing. Like you got Thunder, River, Shadow, and Wind fighting in a clearing but then all their allies died in the battle. Then a spirit cat named Star floated down from the sky and said you have to form the clans in order to survive. We got in trouble by the teacher because we were getting too loud ![](//storage.proboards.com/6575102/images/EYovFCWKvybdNMI4vmTh.gif) Also, I argued with one of those same boys about how cats were much better than dogs purely because of the series. I drew really bad BloodClan fanart of Scourge and all of them with dog-tooth collars to flex and say "You think you're dogs could beat this?" (We later added similar species like other types of canines and felines to the fight. Since I added hyenas since I heard that they were closer related to cats than dogs, he added kangaroos to the dog team because he though he kind of looked like dogs) Truly this was where I hit my peak. I will never be as great as I was back then

I never did any Warrior Cat LARPing (although it sounds super magical), but I do have a story from when I joined my first RP site. It was a chatbox kinda thing, but everyone still roleplayed one of two clans, DuskClan and DawnClan. One time they had this whole battle, but 5 people were on DuskClan's side while only me and the leader were on DawnClan's. So, I ended up RPing ike 10 characters at once to out number them. And eventually we ended up throwing foxes and stuff at each other, which made like zero sense. I didn't get to see the end of it, but apparently the two sides combined to join SunClan :p

Adding onto this lemons thing, until I saw the story was M rated, I thought it was just the Warriors eating lemons...well, at least I know a way to troll some people (probably going to end up doing it on FFN just for laughs).

I never did anything cringey, but there were and occasionally still are times where I'd nearly say "Oh My StarClan," "Foxheart," and "Fox-length."
Also, not super cringey but I remember on the old WCF there was a Dark Forest RP. It was a pretty serious RP, but then some people started to fade away from it and me and a couple other users started wreaking havoc on it. Basically, Mapleshade threw a hedgehog at Hawkfrost and all the other cats thought it was so cool that they started chucking hedgehogs at StarClan and eventually bringing in cannons that they would use with hedgehogs and spike balls and try to kill everyone. Plus this was the time when I first started role-playing so I using using caps and bad grammar galore.
If I found someone from that RP I would die.

My classmates and I did a reenactment of the 1st journey made to see Midnight at the Sun-drown-place. (Everyone was assigned to act out skits of books they've read and naturally I suggested Midnight). I think I may have been either Feathertail or Tawnypelt. It was just so cringe-worthy.

When I was nine I used to try to scale the refrigerator and at one point I climbed big rock in the park and called for a "Clan meeting". I also would "clean" my wrists and "communicate with my Clanmates" (meowing at the housecats which just made them give me these terrified/confused looks). I believed I had the spirit of a cat and thus acted as if I understood them. My Warrior name back then was Shiverpelt.
Then there was Haneko, my "Warriors doujinshi" that revolved around over-the-top dramatic backstories, love octagons, general lack of logic, and rabies-inducing berries. The name doesn't mean anything I was just trying to sound Japanese as I did with everything back then. It was a traditionally drawn, ~200 page atrocity that I was determined not to "publish" until I finished it, and thank god I didn't.
Then there was my terrible roleplaying and fanfiction writing that lasted a while. wheew
To this day I still get cringe attacks.

So this happened 2 (?) days ago; not sure if this is cringey or not, but my friend and I took some psychadelics and just watched the Man On The Moon map over and over and over again. At one point my trip started going south so I started "talking" to Jayfeather and I was pissed that he was helping me out of the bad part of the trip because he's one of my least favorite characters. Still enjoyed the map.
Don't do drugs kids.

I used to roleplay in real life with my friends as warrior cats. We all had these really basic but trying to be edgy names like "Silverpaw" , "Sparkpaw" and so forth. We would go out on the playground in elementary during recess or out to nearby woods outside of school and just roleplay all the time, sometimes for hours on end. The worst was the one time I tried turning in a cringe-worthy, gory speed-paint of Swiftpaw's death as a school project.
