In light of people complaining about how there are too few platonic relationships in warriors I am going to make a list of all the canon warriors friendships that I can think of, that are from the books I have read, and that never developed romantic feelings and aren't family or mentor friendships

Icecloud and Briarlight
Toadstep and Icecloud
Lionblaze and Berrynose at first
Firestar, Graystripe, and Ravenpaw
Squirrelflight and Shrewpaw
Leafpool and Sorreltail

I don't know if Squirrelflight and Bramblestar are still friends with Crowfeather but I'll include them anyway

i think what people are wanting are a tom and a she-cat who are only in platonic relationships. probably one where they grew up together were apprentices/warriors/elders and become lifelong friends but no romance isn't involved much in their relationship.

honestly, i just think fans want consistent and well written friendships in the Warriors world. a lot of friendships fall apart or aren't followed up on, especially friendships formed in the second arc (which are a lot of the ones you have listed). a lot of the time, friendships formed are forgotten and not followed up on, and are usually between two cats of the same gender (i'm not saying that in itself is problematic, but the lack of male/female friendships is annoying). friendships take a backseat to romance, which is quite annoying, especially because the series is full of forbidden or frowned-upon relationships, which grow old after a time.

to be completely truthful, i want to see some well-developed and consistent friendships in the Warriors series.

I think people are after best friends not just friends because as said before, friendships tend to be kind of fleeting and less focused on. Kin and romantic relationships tend to get most of the focus and are really the only super tight friendships we've seen since earlier series.

It would be interesting to have a pair that don't spend a lot of time together but still have a strong bond which is easily seen by the readers.

Oh and Rainwhisker was friends with Swallowtail.
