Welcome to the Wild... Introduction...
You would be forgiven for assuming you have reached the edge of the world. Forced to skid to a stop before your legs send you skidding from a clifftop. Your heart races as you realise just how close to a terrible fate you were. Despite having spent the last few miles at a full out run, desperate to escape from a past which seemed to chase you relentlessly. You allow yourself a moment to at last breathe. Faced with a steep drop that leads to a valley bellow. You barely notice your surroundings as you heave, desperate to catch your breath. When at last you manage, you sit up straighter. Tail flicking from side to side, you realise continuing your run won't be all too easy given the difficult nature of the paths ahead. You pause, contemplating for a moment going back with the hopes of snaking around your pursuers. And finding a different place to go. But before you set off again, a scent catches your nose. Twirling on your tongue, you realise just how heavy the air is with that one scent. Cats. It was unmistakable. And there was safety in numbers. Careful to contemplate your choices, whatever the valley bellow has to offer surely can't be as bad as the past behind you. So with great caution you descend into the valley. Little do you know, fate at the paws of the steep drop or at the paws of those that chase you. Would be preferable to the chaos you will find ahead. Rules... ♦Welcome. Thanks so much for getting this far through the absolute mess of my first thread. It means a lot that you've clicked on it. So welcome to OakClan, I really hope you take the chance to join us! ♦ Forum Rules. Please don't do anything to get this clan deleted, and follow all rules that are enforced by the forums. They are there to keep us all safe and happy after all! ♦ Literacy. Whilst I am new to the forums, I would like to start with a reasonable standard for the clans I work hard on. As a result, I ask that if you wish to join our ranks, you be capable of achieving at least 5 lines worth of roleplay per character you are writing about! Grammar need not be perfect, but please aim to be legible, auto-correct is my best friend at times! ♦ Characters. The exciting bit! But please be reasonable when you make them! No perfect characters nor unkillable ones. Unless agreed for the purposes of plot, powers wont be accepted in OakClan. And cats with traits impossible to a cat, i.e. wings, luminescent green fur, etc, will not be accepted. LGBT+ characters are quite welcome, but please don't join as rogues or loners just yet as this is supposed to be a rather isolated Clan. ♦ Joining. For the purposes of ratio equality, I ask that you join with at least two characters when you first join our ranks, one of each gender. The password to join is Walking a Narrow Line! ♦ Relationships. Relationships formed prior to joining [as long as you ask of course] is not something I have a problem with, feel free to ask I'm quite happy to couple off my characters if I feel the duo could work! I admittedly saw this in a couple of other threads, so lay no claim to this rule. But to help develop the clan, where characters of yours share traits with that of another cat [or multiple] you ask if they can be related to them in some way. Its not mandatory, just something that i thought sounded fun. ♦ Plot. Whilst we have an existing plot in line, I am happy for it to go in different directions if you guys have new ideas or additions to make it even more fun. Furthermore, there is no limit on how many plots that can be going on at once is, as long as it doesn't get ridiculous or ludicrous, I encourage you to have as much fun as you can! ♦ Plagiarism. Though this isn't an especially amazing thread, I worked really hard on it. Hence, please do not steal anything from this thread, character, writing, coding or otherwise without the permission of the creator.
Joining...
♦ Cat Name. Please write a description of your cat's appearance, personality and if you feel it is relevant their history. Please try to make it a reasonable length, about 5 lines long or more. @screenname Your Cat's Rank. Your Cat's Relationships, Siblings, Parents etc. Anything Else? [Hint, Hint] Joining Page.

About our Home... Territory...
OakClan makes its territory within a large valley at the foot of a mountain range to the west, and a large lake to the east. Leaving our land rather well defended in terms of its borders. It is inhabited largely by woodlands and forests, which are interspersed with meadows, fields and moorland. Providing ample hunting grounds for our cats. The majority of our prey are bulkier in size, as these are easiest to catch for most of our members. Hence, squirrels, rabbits, birds, and hares as well as the larger varieties of fish frequent our fresh kill pile.
♦ Clinging Oak. Where OakClan gets its name is a place that largely encompasses our cats, in that life can thrive even in the harshest of environments. It is an Oak Tree found at the very peak of the local mountains, growing quite literally off of the cliffside but still manages to grow.
♦ Crow Ravines. A massive canyon torn through our lands on the moorlands to the north of the territory, its two sides are linked by the Tree Bridge, it is named for the great number of crow nests which litter either side which often cause a great deal of noise.
♦ Glade. Much like it says on the tin, this is the clan's glade found to the west of the territory a short way from Riptide Lake. It is made up of cherry blossom trees for the most part, meaning it is a rather beautiful place in the territory.
♦ Owl Fork. The Clan couldn't be described as being especially imaginative in their choice of names. This is quite simply a massive tree which was once home to a family of owls, but during a lightning storm it was struck and the result of this was the tree was shattered down the middle.
♦ Riptide Lake. The massive lake which borders our lands to the west of the main territory, it is so immense that it looks less like a lake and more like an ocean, and its edges span outside of our territory. Its waters are fast flowing, giving way to its apt choice of name.
♦ Sleeping Cat Hill. Quite like the name implies, it is a hilly area which from a distance appears to take on the form of a sleeping cat. The place itself is littered with a variety of bushes, and as a result is a prime place to go herb hunting for berries, i.e. juniper berries and raspberry leaves.
♦ Tree Bridge. You would be forgiven for assuming the Clinging Oak was the sole bizarre foliage within our land, but you would also be mistaken. For within the ravines of our clan, the two sides are linked by a great tree, whose roots span either side of the canyons steep sides, providing a bridge. Camp... OakClan makes its home within a small offset of the Crow Ravine, providing a comfortable canyon like space for the clan to make their lives within. It is rather large, and its ceiling is open providing plenty of natural life.
♦ Leaders Den. The smallest of the dens given it only needs to hold a handful of cats at most. It is found within the hollow of a large birch tree found growing on one of the ledges of camp.
♦ Medicine Cat's Den A more isolated den as to help quarantine the clan should the need arise for it. It is found within a gap between the wall of camp and its floor, providing a cavern under the camp, and is well supplied with moss to create a comfortable den.
♦ Warrior's Den OakClan's largest den, it is the centrepiece of the camp when one looks into the camp from the entrance. It is a massive cavern within the camp walls itself. Carefully carved from the original cave it was to provide a roomy den for the warriors.
♦ Apprentice's Den. Whilst a smaller den compared to most of the camp, but the apprentice's tend to find this one of the more enjoyable features of the den. It is found within the roots of a small sycamore tree found on the eastern side of camp.
♦ Nursery. At the heart of OakClan camp is the nursery, found within a large thicket bordering the walls of camp, providing a comfortable and spacious den for the clan's queens.
♦ Elder's Den. Found pressed against the wall of camp is a large boulder fallen from the ledges above which has been propped a more barren part of camp to provide the elder's with a place to rest their weary heads.
About the Clan...
Made of a bulky and muscular group of cats given the arduous terrain we have to traverse on a day to day basis, making a reasonable degree of athleticism a necessary trait to our cats. Though those of smaller build are able to make themselves usefull on the small amounts of moorland on our territory, its just they aren't as common. Due to the generally diverse nature of our territory in terms of colour, from the greys and browns of the mountainsides, to the dark greens and brighter colours of the forest, and the more barren nature of the moorlands. There isn't necessarily a coat type best suited to our territory, save for being thick in nature to provide shelter from the cold winds from the lake and the mountains. .

Leader... ♦ Stormstar. Once a rather beautiful shecat has since been left more scarred than a cat of her age has the right to have. Predominantly cloaked in a pelt of midnight black, she is mottled with faded orange and splashes of white on her muzzle, flanks and underbelly. She bares the marks of her father's brutal regime, from which even she and her siblings weren't safe. Training session after training session and battle after needless battle left her a veteraned warrior very young. Named for the dark grey of her gaze, similar to the shade of the sky during a thunderstorm. A cat who had to grow up very fast, she fought her father's battles before eventually turning on him herself. The result is a quiet but strategic young cat, with a loyalty regardless of your opinion of her, most struggle to doubt. Whilst not a quick cat to open to others, she would do just about anything to protect those in her allegiance. This is a cat who has walked the line between the dark and light for the longest time, and it has left her a broken cat despite the strong persona she puts out. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ Deputy... ♦ Featherpool. As soft as a feather, this young molly is a silver and white gorgeous tabby with beautiful blue eyes and a relatively short coat. While it is short, it's pretty thick and keeps her warm in the harsh cold. Featherpool has a few nicks on her ears, and a scar running from one cheek, to the other, over the bridge of her nose. She has trouble breathing, but she can run in short bursts. She is agile, a quick thinker, and enjoys the sun. She is loving, caring, and motherly, but she can be very defensive and protective of anyone and everyone. She has a sharp tongue, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע Medicine Cat...
♦ Bluerose.
Bluerose seems to be the perfect combination of her two parents, one being a blue, the other being snowy white. Her base coat is a light cream, the color or fresh snow or warm milk, dappled all across of it in indistinct patterns is a deep, crisp blue, like dark, turbulent waters. This shecat possess the build expected of a cold climate, lithe and small, with very long, thick fur to combat against the cold. Giving her a quick glance over, one wouldn't see anything out of the ordinary. But upon closer examination one will find a giant, nasty gash over her chest, split right down the middle. Her thick, fluffy fur helps hide this. Other than that one imperfection, Bluerose is untouched, not even a split in one of her ears. She has a very long, feathery tail, and deep, almost terrifying dark blue eyes. Bluerose isn't the nicest cat... She is in fact, very flawed, and objectively rather rude. She shows no patience for childish games, and handles everything with a dull, uninterested expression. She is mature, though can snap rather childishly at times if you upset her, as she has problems when it comes to anger. For the most part thought Bluerose is rather... emotionless. She is very smart, with a great memory and problem solving skills. Even though she isn't the nicest cat, there is no doubt that she does her job very well. This shecat is also very in tune with StarClan, acting like, for lack of a better word, a priestess. Everything she does she does for StarClan, she puts them above everything, she communes with them every night. She has a hatred for those who have cast away their faith simply because they feel StarClan is not caring for their clan, as she seems to think that there is a reason for their behavior. Fiercely independent and never afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and yet, Bluerose also tries her best to keep her anger at bay with her clan mates. Although she never mentions it, this shecat is on a mission to try to regain her honor within the clan. She feels an intense burden and guilt for sins that she did not commit... Long ago. Bluerose was born the only child to Littlerose, the former medicine cat of OakClan, and Darkcall, a very dependable, and noble warrior. The clan was understandably outraged that the medicine cat had betrayed the code and had kits, so things were always turbulent between the parents, and the clan. Right as Bluerose had started her apprentice training, Darkcall announced that he was tired of how the clan was treating them. He, and Littlerose left the clan to forge for themselves, traveling to the outskirts of OakClan territory to live out their lives as loners. Things were peaceful, for a time. Bluerose had begun to learn the art of medicine from her mother, while their father provided for them. However, this peace did not last long. Darkcall began to act strangely, Bluerose believes that he was hearing the voices of some false Gods. He would ramble on and on about the secret to immortality, and the ingredients needed. The former warrior began to lure apprentices, and even warriors towards the outskirts and would murder them in a profane, disgusting manner. When he got everything he needed from the carcasses, he would dump the bodies at the border. It is unknown how many cats died to the hands of Darkcall, but he can be tied back to a string of missing cats, and murders. When Bluerose was approaching the age of a warrior, her mother attacked her father in hopes of killing him. She ordered for her daughter to run, and so she did. She ran all the way to the OakClan camp, and on that day of arrival she promised herself to right the wrongs of her father, to try to regain the honor of her family name... She does this not out of a sympathy for her father, but for her mother, who's name she inherited. Bluerose has never seen, nor heard from either of her parents again. Medicine Cat Apprentice... ♦Magpiepaw. Built into the muscular yet graceful mould observed for her breed, the Siamese, Magpiepaw has quite the athletic form. There comes equal beauty from her frame, looked upon as slender and dainty, though lined neatly with firm bone and lean muscle. Most notable for finesse and poise, limbs of a proportionally fine and narrow origin levels her similarly slim torso with nimble elegance, as though literally made for the sophistication and dignity of a queen. Her face is soft and warm, complimenting the innocent friendliness awash deep within her almond-shaped light blue eyes. Downy fluff fills her cheeks and ears—ones identified for being triangular in shape and quite large in size. Pelage of a silken texture swathes this physique in a colorpoint array, creamy brown for a base, with a beautiful overlay of a dark chocolate mask, socks, and tail bands—a great indicator to her Siamese origin. This fleece cascades in feathered plumes that tufts just about all surface area in equal length, concluding in a beautifully tapered tail, downy to the touch. Buoyant and boosterish, Magpiepaw is an immediate choice for company. She embodies what it is to keep a childish heart. Her friendliness oozes into her enthusiasm and optimism, making for quite a parcel of positivity. She's very intelligent. ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע

Warriors... ♦ Appleshine. On the thin and lean side, Appleshine is a elegant blue point siamese molly with gorgeous blue eyes that look like crystal clear waters. Appleshine has a slim and sleek pelt. Her tail is long and pointed. The tip of her left ear is cut off, and she has a thick scar on her back leg. Appleshine is a quiet and shy molly, with a care for anyone and everyone. She wants to help everyone, even if that means putting herself in danger. She's very sensitive, and just tries her hardest to be a good warrior. If she has kits, she'll probably remain as a permanent queen- as fighting was never her strong point, though her sense of smell tends to be very good. -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 ♦ Batwhisker. Batwhisker is long-boded, long-legged, and just an overall lanky cat. He's awkwardly tall and long, a gangly thing that never really quite grew into his body. With his large, pointed ears and long, slender tail he looks more mouse than cat. His fur is a deep black and short and his eyes are a gleaming amber. Personality wise this tomcat is rather skittish and timid, a nervous wreck really. He's jumpy and always on edge, acting as if something is out to get him. He's awkward as well, not really sure what to say. A part of him is afraid to speak and interact with others as he believes he'll slip up and say something wrong which in turn will pin others against him. Batwhisker does try his best to be friendly and kind, though. He wants the Clan to accept him at the very least. He just wants to feel like he's welcomed. Feathertalon ♦ Bramblesplash. Predominantly carrying the markings very common to tabby cats, he gains his name from the dark brown of his fur similar to the prickles found in thickets and bushes. But his prefix from the strange splash of white, seemingly from nowhere which marks his muzzle and the space between his eyes, a splash of white seen nowhere else on his body. He has dark blue eyes, tinted with dark greyish silver the closer to the iris one cares to look. A flirtatious and good natured tom, he loves to push the limits of others and is rather playful to this extent. He has an infectious laugh and a mischeivous tone which carries this cat's general aura. However, he isn't often a malicous cat, and knows when to stop. But he is rather young, born just before the regime came to an end he doesn't have as many memories of it as others do. But was raised with the stories, the result of which is a loyal tom who would do anything in his power to keep his clan safe. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ♦ Boulderfrost. A good descriptor of Boulderfrost would be “looming”. His facial scars and somewhat tattered ears don’t help him look any less intimidating. He’s a tall tomcat but not lanky. Underneath his mostly black pelt, his muscles ripple obviously. Since he was born, his mother, Doveflight, had always worried there wasn’t something right with the tom cat despite being the largest of his litter, not the runt. Despite being mostly black, he has a few odd patches of white, including one around a blue eye--with his other eye being dark amber. His father Hemlockfur, a pure white tom, was however proud to see that the kits were his. While one of Boulderfrost’s sisters, Nettlekit/paw, was gray like their mother, Egretkit/paw was amber-eyed white. Despite his often-anxious mother’s concerns, Boulderkit grew strong and became favored by their former leader, Stormstar’s father, when he was only an apprentice. Because of this, Boulderfrost became one of the former leader’s right paw cats from a young age, alongside his father, Hemlockfur. In fact, Boulderfrost was one of the last to turn on their former leader, only doing so when the leader requested he kill runt kits; in return, he helped Stormstar organize his demise. Boulderfrost still holds a lot of guilt about his actions and hopes to improve the clan, protect the weakest from the cruelty he went through as a kit and apprentice and the violence he caused as a warrior. collided ♦ Bugstep. The first word that comes to mind when describing Bugstep is tall. This lean, thin, long legged tom is probably about 90% leg, making him tower over his fellow clanmates, which could possibly be intimidating if it wasn’t also for the fact that Bugstep is practically skin and bone, with hardly anything sticking to him, this lean black and white tom looks like the cat version of a walking tree, and from there he only looks more awkward with too long of whiskers and ginormous ears, Bugstep is mostly just an odd proportioned cat. The only thing that might be considered captivating about the awkward looking tom would be his brilliant, bright yellow eyes that stand out against his black and white thin coat of fur. Bugstep is also a rather unfriendly tom, generally not the type of cat others want to willingly be around. He always has a smug comment to share and seems to find the rest of the clan tolerable at best, flat out dumb and annoying at worst. He’s sour tempered and easily annoyed. However he does care, he just doesn’t exactly show it, or if he does, it’s in his own special Bugstep way. Doesn’t change the fact that he needs to be nice though. 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
♦ Cicadabuzz. Cicadabuzz is quick to the trigger, in shortness. This shecat is fluffy. Like... Wow I didn't think cats could have that much fur. She must be hot under there. Carrying the beautiful, though cursed coat of a Siberian cat. Her base coat is a light chocolate color, that on top of that are marbled markings of black that sketch through her fur, and ring around her tail. Lighter colors of white show most predominantly on her mane, muzzle, two front toes and two back socks. She has large, bug like green eyes, which is where she receives her prefix from. This molly is huge, she easily squares up against the most toughest toms in the clan, not only in size but in muscle. Due to her build, Cicadabuzz is a much better fighter than she is a hunter, so much so that her giant body makes it hard to traverse the forest floor quietly to spring on unsuspecting prey. That, and she doesn't have the patience for hunting. Cicadabuzz is fueled by an inner molten core of unrelenting anger towards the world, it seems. She's always in an angry mood, she always finds reason to complain, she can never seem to take a chill pill, as it were. There are upsides, and downsides to this of course. Let's start with the positives. Cicadabuzz has a fiery determination, and ambition. She is constantly working to serve her clan, to provide for those she cares for, and to protect what she holds dear. She never does a job half done, and her intimating nature makes most other kick into action with her. She is a brilliant leader, taking the helm of most patrols simply because she has a way of keeping everyone focused. Fear tactics get you a long way. Now, for the negatives. Cicadabuzz doesn't have a lot of friends. Some clan mates are afraid of her loud, booming voice and angry nature. The warrior often overworks herself, sometimes going full days without a rest, or a meal. It is hard for her to show care for others, even though in her heart she cares deeply. She just doesn't seem to know how to say it... Cicadabuzz is only so hard on others because she is in equal parts hard to herself - and that's because her father was hard on her. Growing up with only one parent, Cicadabuzz lacked the nurturing care expected of a mother, and only had her father, Leopardclaw. He was a respected warrior, but he had much the same personality as his daughter. He worked his litter hard, crafted them into respectable, and strong soldiers, but never once in his life did he show them the love and nurture that a child needs. Leopardclaw worked himself to an early grave, and now rests with his mate, Fawncloud. Although Cicadabuzz does not remember, she is often told that she looks exactly like her mother used to. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
♦ Cricketchirp. Not being particularly tall or long, Cricketchirp falls somewhere in-between. A pretty average tom, with decent fluff (especially to his face) and a largely spotted soft brown pelt of fur that’s lighter and darker depending on the area, and olive green eyes, Cricketchirp practically blends right into dirt and dust. His paws are also quite large and fluffy, giving them a soft appearance and enough of a bounce in his step that Cricketchirp is plenty capable of bouncing wherever he goes, the trick is getting him to stop. He’s a friendly tom though, always willing to listen to others and to chat. However he’s got a hidden level of snark that few cats see an often surprises most. The easiest way to describe him is a ray of sunshine, or even just the sun in general. Beautiful (though he really isnt), bright, and welcoming, but if you look too closely, you get burned. 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ♦ Dapplefeather. Dapplefeather is a relatively largely built, long-haired, Maine Coon, with relatively average paws for her size. Her eyes are those of one's who you might become lost in. Her iris's are of a dark navy blue color at seems to hold an endless ocean abyss. Around her pupils lightly scattered are golden flecks, enhancing the mysterious aura her eyes originally hold. She is very persistent in keeping her pelt shiny and tidy. Her pelt primarily consists mostly of an off-white cream color, with light fawn colored paws speckled with white on her toes. Dark stone grey speckles splatter lightly along the middle of her back and fade into her flanks the further they spread down. Her tail is long and quite plumey to say the least, being a light off-white cream and ending with a fawn tail tip and hint of grey speckles among it. Dapplefeather, to say the least, is very social. Not to say that in a bad way; she also loves to eagerly express what's on her mind, and what she's thinking. Her personality is also sometimes feisty, although, she is very sweet and soft spoken. She tends to have a more motherly composure towards the kits. Dapplefeather strongly believes in that making mistakes and getting hurt is a lesson in itself and that those are the only ways you will truly learn on your own. Around her friends she is polite but kind of has a sarcastic tendency. Dapplefeather is reckless at times and energetic. She's daring, and enjoys taking the riskier way to accomplishing things, simply because she believes finding new ways to do old things is entertaining 𝒯𝓌𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒹𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 †
♦ Dimheart. A long-boded and slender silver-white tabby molly with striking amber eyes. She's built more so for speed and agility, not so much for fighting, but that doesn't mean one should underestimate her fighting abilities. Her fur is thin, allowing most of the scars that she receives during her life as a warrior noticeable. This feline is known to be distant and cold to others at best. She places her service to her Clan above anything else. Calling her a workaholic is perhaps the best way to describe her when it comes down to it. She's also ambitious, a cat that yearns for power. Well, more like she yearns for the Clan to recognize all that she has given for it. She wouldn’t injure or kill for the sake of rising through the ranks, but she won’t deny her ambition, either. All in all she’s a rather stoic cat who would give her life nine times over for the Clan without a second thought. Feathertalon Foxfire.
Foxfire is a tall, long-furred Somali tom with pale leaf-green eyes. His fur is a deep red color, which darkens on his shoulders and forehead, and along his spine, and lightens towards his paws and chin. His tail is long and fluffy, and darkens at the tip. Foxfire is a bright, bubbly young tom, with a knack for getting into stupid situations. He loves to befriend others, and is known as quite a flirt among the warriors. However, he isn't often flirting on purpose - that's just who he is. He's willing to get his paws dirty if he has to, and has no qualms about showing someone just who they're messing with, but only if necessary. He'd rather talk things out and make lighthearted jokes than fight, but make no mistake. Foxfire is one of the best fighters around, simply because you wouldn't expect him to be the type to fight. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ »
♦ Heronfeather. Heronfeather can best be described in a single word, lazy. This dark colored auburn somali has a long, lanky building. It's surprising he can keep his figure so lean (though it's closer to gangly) seeing as how he rarely ever exercises. Despite how stupid he acts, his keen electric green eyes give off an intelligent vibe. As expected for one of the somali breed, this tom has thick, course fur with darker coloration on his tail, and light tabby markings upon the head. His fur is mostly ragged and tangled, instead of a delightful fluff. There is a slight limp to his back left leg because of an injury he received as an apprentice. There are rumors going around that by now that limp should have healed, and that maybe Heronfeather is just using it as an excuse to remain complacent. Yes, Heronfeather is lazy. While most of his clan-mates find something productive to do during the morning or afternoon, this tom would prefer to snooze it away, when he can get away with it. He simply does not have the passion to hunt to provide for his clan, he would much rather take from the community pot and laze away. This doesn't mean he's completely useless though, right? Well, he is pleasant company. There is an aura around Heronfeather that he likes to call his chill zone. And once you're in it, you just feel... Calmer. Or at least more lethargic. When he talks his voice is slow, and drawls out of his mouth infuriatingly long. His tone rarely rises or falls in emotion, instead carrying a calm, easy note. If cats could smoke weed, he would be a stoner, let's put it that way. Heronfeather does have a tendency to make shecats fall for him though, and he does this unintentionally. Heronfeather is so naturally playful and painfully unaware that he has a habit of flirting, or being suggestive with shecats when he doesn't mean to be. This tom is in fact, homosexual, but he doesn't bring it up to anyone out of fear of disappointing his parents, or some of the less accepting of his clan mates. But, if you can handle his stupidity and his refusal to do anything, you'll find a sweet, and open minded tom underneath. One that is great to talk to when your emotions are getting the best of you. Heronfeather has a way of settling down cats in a panic, mostly due to his easy going nature. Heronfeather is a social butterfly, he soars in situations where other, more introverted cats might shy away from. He isn't against doing something stupid if it might lighten the mood, or if it will just make him look cooler. During his early moons of apprenticeship, Heronfeather leapt from a tree at a wrong angle, and crashed to the ground, shattering his back left leg. It was quickly taken care of, though the tom still limps on it today. It was during this long break during his apprenticeship, where he was being healed, that people spectate his lack of enthusiasm for work came from. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ ♦ Nightfrost. Nightfrost is a massive solid black tom, built for brute strength and intimidating stares. His paws are larger than most kits' heads, and with slightly longer canines than the average tomcat, Nightfrost could be the think from your nightmares. And that isn't even mentioning his cold, vivid green eyes. Despite his appearance, though, Nightfrost is a calm, even-tempered tomcat. He loves to play games with the kits and younger apprentices, and comes across as completely ignorant of his duties as a warrior. Some would say that he is the complete opposite of his sister, and they would be right. However, when it comes down to it, Nightfrost is a great ally to have on the battlefield. Not only is he intimidating, but he is also quick for a cat his size, and can bring down an opponent before they realize he's on them. Some cats would say that he is unempathetic in battle, what with his lackadaisical manor and aloofness about those he kills, but don't be fooled. He is just as affected as the next cat. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » ♦ Rabbitblush. Rather tall in height and lean in body shape lends to Rabbitblush’s overall athletic stature, though hints of a scrawny undertone is often displayed by his unusually skinny appearance. His limbs are long, thin and spindly, more inclined for sprinting than brawling. Pelage of a reddish chocolate coats the dainty figure in strands of curt, silken origin, eventually ending in a narrow, completely russet tail—though extra feathered fur is notable for tufting his ankles and neck in an aesthetic fashion. His face is round and soft, exuding a babyish charm that can be seen as adorable to some. Likewise, his ears are silkily furred as they poise daintily at the pinnacle of his head; their size being oddly large, with little flopping at their tips. Discoid eyes are housed within this slender cranium and are hazel in color with flecking of an emerald pigmentation.
Though coming off as skittish and rather obsequious in nature, it’s all a facade to heavily mask the manipulation and deceitfulness plaguing his heart and mental status. He was once an innocent apprentice, but was tainted by the ideals and power the Dark Forest had to offer. He’s grown in their toxic environment, taking each combat technique or recommendation and manifesting it into something dangerous and lethal. His outlook on life has since grown pessimistic, though he tries his best to convey optimism as not to blow his cover. In reality, he despises the filth and weakness that has come to make up OakClan, and hopes to rid it of its debility. ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע ♦ Rowanshard. Encompassing many of the traits common amidst OakClan, namely he is built like a brick wall and is capable of hitting just like one. His survival was never in doubt, not that it is something he is proud of. And has adjusted reasonably to a more peaceful life, though few will ever hear him talking about it. He is a strange cat, once close to the past leader but has since shown no problem with his new life, it has left some to wonder if he did it with the purpose of survival alone, but again, he isn't an especially talkative cat. Muscled and large in terms of stature, he has thick dark brown tabby fur well scarred with souvenirs from a past existence he has long since put behind him. It is striped with black and brown, and splashed creamish white at the muzzle and chest. His eyes are a pale, grey colour like a clouded over morning sky. He is a quiet tom, independent and happy to do his own thing. He isn't one to search for the approval of others, happy to stick to the shadows and keep himself to himself. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ
♦ Silvermist. Silvermist just like her sister Dappledfeather is relatively large maine coon. Both sister standing a bit larger than your average maine coon she-cat. Silvermist has bright, electric amber eyes, that tend to burn right into you with intensity. It's definitely one of the aspects that makes her look very intimidating. Her coat is long, thick, and fluffy keeping her warm in the winter moons, and making her die of heat exhaust at another time of the year. She has a light gray base coat with intense darker gray markings of your typical tabby with a white mane that fluffs up around her neck. Her underbelly, chest and tail tip is white. Often described as sassy, irritable, and overly invested in other peoples business, not exactly the nicest of qualities. That and the fact that it gets herself into some pretty sticky situations. Silvermist comes across as harsh, though once she opens up to you, the girl can be a sweetheart of a companion. She is loyal to a fault and a bit stubborn and sharp-tongued, refusing to take no for an answer. She is determined and a bit of a perfectionist, which in turn goes hand in hand with her not-so-nice qualities. Silvermist has a bit of a difficulty showing a softer, more emotional side, but once she does, it’s like she has become a whole new person. 𝒯𝓌𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒹𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 † ♦ Shadowstream. Shadowstream is a lean, mean, fighting machine. Unlike her brother, she is lithe and sleek-furred, though she shares the solid black pelt coloring that their deceased parents gave them. She has pale, icy blue eyes that could hypnotize any prey. Shadowstream is the complete opposite of her brother - where he is aloof and cool, Shadowstream is temperamental and blunt. She is nothing if not ambitious. Her goal is to become deputy, and one day lead Oakclan into great glory. She's a vision on the battlefield, quick and efficient when it comes to getting the job done. Due to her constant tension and the pressure she puts on herself, she tends to snap easily, and has been known to make an apprentice cry without intending to. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » ♦ Thistlemask. There’s a certain grace to Thistlemask that’s hard to miss. Perhaps it’s the way she walks, or the icy aura around her, yet it’s unmistakably there. Thistlemask is a soft, short furred shecat that falls slightly on the smaller side of things. Her pelt is a soft, solid cream color with a darker brown face, ears, tail, and paws, as if the shecat had dipped the darker parts of her fur into a paint of chocolate and mud. Her paws are delicate and small, while her tail is long and typically curled right at the end. Thistlemask is light on her feed and completely silent when she walks. Finally, her eyes are a pale yet bright blue, standing out against her darkened face. Thistlemask is a cat that thinks far before she acts. Everything is planned, every little thing has thought put into. Likely too much thought actually, but it seems to work for her. She’s a brisk cat, one that seems to always be moving with some place to go, and when she walks it’s not just for any reason, there’s purpose behind it. However she isn’t the most friendly or outgoing of cats, preferring solitude over the company of others, and when she does talk to others - especially when nothing “business” related is involved - Thistlemask easily and quickly turns into a pile of stumbling over words, unsurity, and a sense of awkwardness that just isn’t there when she’s alone or busing herself with things. 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ♦ Waspclaw. Once referred to her mother as a “little shadow” for her small size and habit of following any bigger kits around, Waspclaw grew into a fierce-looking she-cat. In fact, even for OakClan, she’s large for a she-cat, all barrel chest, huge paws, and bulky muscles. Notably she has a scar across the bridge of her nose, but her pelt is riddled with them from her history. Her fur is thick and unlike Stormstar’s more of a mix of colors: her body seems almost striped by black and ginger, like a wasp, with white splashes on her legs and tail tip. Her eyes are grass green. Despite her colorful pelt, she is also rather plain, not nearly as beautiful as her sister, Stormstar, with her unusual gray eyes and more feminine appearance. This doesn’t bother Waspclaw at all, and she hardly notices as she’s always been Stormstar’s little shadow. She’s always followed after her sister with stars in her eyes; Waspclaw’s paws fitting into her big sister’s paw prints perfectly. Her loyalty to her mother and her siblings over her father is how she ended up on the right side of history, despite the fact her father’s praise came easily. She’s a great fighter, focused on pure strength, and she’s a good hunter. Despite this, she does have quite a few flaws. She does tend to go with the flow and seems to struggle if she has to make choices for herself. She relies on the opinions of those she loves maybe too much. She also isn’t the most socially aware cat and often ends up somewhat oblivious and tactless. While she does know some about strategy, she’s often seen as being somewhat dim-witted due to this. collided ♦ Willowdapple. An older cat and one who has survived the darker side of history longer than most would have guessed. Towards the end of the previous reign most had her ranked to be the next to be 'lost' mysteriously, and chance alone meant she is still alive to this day, and Willowdapple is all too aware of this. A beautiful shecat even in her older age, she is mottled with dark silver grey fur that is splashed white at the muzzle, underbelly and each of her four paws, with stripes of darker grey and silver running down her now rather thin ribs. Her eyes are a pale, yellowish colour that is dappled with a green speckling. Thankful to still have her life, she is one who lives every day to its fullest in thanks to starclan that she is still amidst the ranks of OakClan. She is a bashful but kind older cat, with a good heart and a determination that rivals that of cats far younger than herself. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ♦ Windshear. A large framed gray and white ticked tabby with soft green-yellow eyes. He has long fur and a relaxed frame. Windshear gained his name due to how quick he was on his paws. He has a slim frame, and silky soft fur. Windshear is kind, light-hearted, stubborn and caring. He is pretty fatherly, too. He tries his hardest to help everyone, but he tends to get angry and snappy easily, especially when he gets stressed out. Windshear can only see in the gray scale- having a slight color blindness. He finds that his scents and hearing are a lot better than his sight alone. This helps with fighting along side his clan. He's very protective of his family, too. Windshear is pansexual, and open to siblings. -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 ♦ Wolfheart. Just like his sisters Wolfheart is a large main coon. He towers over both of them though, so I guess you could say abnormally large. Wolfheart has big bright green eyes that almost seem as if the turn different shades of green at different times. He has a long tabby marked coat, that keeps him incredibly warm in the winter months. Some like to say his sister look almost identically except for their eye color, and they're right. Bramblepelt was the odd one out of the litter, getting their mothers brownish hued pelt, while his sisters got the silver hued pelt from their father. He has medium brown base coat with hints of silver in between his black tabby stripes. Wolf heart is fairly intelligent and friendly to his clanmates, and is rather playful. He enjoys spending his time playing with the kits or battle training with the apprentices. Though, he has his moments when he just likes to relax and not have to worry so much. Due to Wolfheart's large muscular frame, he is a very skilled fighter, but he tends to enjoy hunting more, even though he is at more of a disadvantage to most cats due to his large size. Wolfheart has a genuine caring and nurturing nature and he hopes to one day meet the right she-cat and have kits of his own. 𝒯𝓌𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒹𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 † Apprentices... ♦ Crowpaw. Thinner than most, but broad and muscular, Crowpaw is a black and white tom with wideset green eyes that are round in shape. Crowpaw has a tear in his left ear from a training session. His tail is fluffy, despite the rest of his body being medium haired. Crowpaw is, how do you put it, angry. He feels as if the world is against him. He's ambitious, snappy, and tends to be rude towards any cat. He isn't afraid to give lip, as he back talks almost all cats. With a high fear of being alone, he tends to shut himself away, as he doesn't want anyone in his life, fearing they will up and leave him. -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾
♦ Houndpaw. A long-legged black tomcat with long, silky fur and incredibly pale green eyes. Underneath all his fur he is quite lanky and long, his physique made more for speed and stamina than brute strength and force. While all of his fur is long and feathery, his tail is even more so. This tomcat is rather wise for his age. There's something about him that makes him seem older than he really is, like he's seasons ahead of his actual age. He's also very laid back and relaxed, not one to jump to conclusions or make assumptions. He's level-headed and rational, a thinker before a doer. He's also the type of cat that serves his Clan dutifully and expects nothing in return. He goes the extra mile for his Clanmates so that others don't have to, yet he does this not for any special rewards or praise, no, he simply does it to see his Clanmates happy and less stressed about their own duties. Their happiness is his reward, and this tomcat wouldn't have it any other way. Feathertalon
♦Icepaw. Icepaw is a small, lithe young molly built for speed. She has narrow shoulders, long legs, and sleek fur mottled with a calico tabby pattern. Her base coat is a white-silver color, with deep black and gray markings scattered about, and painted with pale ginger spots on her legs, forehead, and tail. Her eyes are heterochromic - her right eye is a pale amber, and her left is a bright sky blue. Icepaw is a vicious fighter, cunning and strategic even in the most dire of situations. But that is only when it's required of her. Outside of battle, Icepaw is a clumsy, sweet molly with a love for kits that says she was born to be a permanent queen. She can be a bit ditsy sometimes, but pick on someone she cares about and you'll find that her teeth are sharp, and her claws are sharper. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ »
♦ Mistypaw. Being extremely small and fluffy, nothing about Mistypaw screams “threatening” about the small she-cat. What with her silky soft light silver pelt dusted ever so slightly white, delicate and small paws, tufted ears, and olive green eyes. Mistypaw is not one would immediately be afraid of upon first glance. However it is wise not to be fooled by the soft, small appearance of the young she-cat, as she is a spitfire of sarcasm and snark. Being a highly opinionated cat, Mistypaw is not afraid to tell you exactly what she thinks and likely not in a nice way either, no matter what rank you are. She’s got a fiery temper and enough personality for a cat three times her size. She might not physically be the strongest, but she’s uses her size to her advantage, often dodging and striking fast, not hard in attacks, and though Mistypaw is far from the nicest cat out there, she’s fiercely loyal of those she believes deserves it and would walk through fire and brimstone for them. 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
♦ Sparrowpaw. Sparrowpaw is small, lean young apprentice that could be easily mistaken for a simple kit. Their coat is a base of charcoal black, mottled with pale white and ginger markings. These markings help them blend into the forest around them, making them an excellent hunter. Their eyes are a brilliant blue color. Sparrowpaw isn't a fighter - they never have been, and they likely never will be. They hate fighting, mostly because they're too small to do any real good, but also because they have an intense dislike for confrontation. Sparrowpaw is a very nervous cat, and many thought they would have been a medicine apprentice, were it not for their complete lack of an ability to memorize the herbs and their uses. Their small size makes them an excellent hunter, and their light weight gives them the ability of stealth that a large number of warriors have to work for. Sparrowpaw is easily frightened and flustered, and has been known to shriek when surprised. They are genetically female, but despite their capability of having kits, they don't want any of their own. ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ »
♦ Sneezepaw. Sickness just seems to find it's way to Sneezepaw, and there's nothing the poor cat can do about it. Sneezepaw is a snow leopard patterned tom, with short, slick fur, except for in awkward patches where the fur is slightly more course, and sticks out, like on his chest, and his cheeks. He has sharp features, almost too sharp, like he isn't getting enough nutrition. His eyes are a opulent gold color, and he has a small little pink nose. The first thing one might notice about Sneezepaw, other than the fact that he's constantly dying, is that he is much too short for his age. Despite coming from a litter where all his siblings were taller, the tom still seems just the size of a 5 moon old kitten. This makes training really hard. But what makes it harder is the fact that Sneezepaw is constantly pent up in the medicine cats den. At least once a moon, Sneezepaw contracts some horrible sickness, and has to stop training for at least a couple nights until he feels well enough to go again. His immune system is just so low. This does not mesh well with the tom's fiery determination to be the greatest warrior OakClan has ever had, and one day maybe even deputy. I say deputy instead of leader because Sneezepaw is a follower at heart. So much so that if someone he admired told him to jump off a bridge he'd do it without hesitation. On the scale of introvert to extrovert, Sneezepaw sits right in the middle. Not too introverted to not want to socialize with others, but just shy enough to never make the first move when it comes to new people. He is a very social tom, making him hate the fact he has to be sick all the time even more. Sneezepaw is very insecure, and even though others around him might not be bullying him, his own head is. It's hard for the tom to cope with feelings of self worth when he feels so useless to the clan. Sneezepaw has a very even temper, and patience in abundance. It's hard to rile up any strong emotion from him other than happiness, and fear. Two things one should know about Sneezepaw, he is very excitable, and he is afraid of everything. Heights, water, birds, bugs, fish, the dark, you name it and he's probably got a phobia of it. This makes him very irresistible to prank. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
♦ Treepaw. Sharing a similar look to that of her sister, Treepaw is also rather fluffy, with a soft gray tabby pelt and a white underside that goes down to her paws and all the way up to her muzzle. Treepaw also has darker gray, nearly black swirls going down her back in a marbled like pattern. Her ears are tufted, with fluffy long fur sprouting from them like wisps of mist. Along with this, Treepaw (much unlike her sister) is extremely tall and lanky. With no muscle whatsoever going for her, this cat is mostly made out of legs and fur, with her long white legs ending in large paws that seem awkwardly out of place on the she-cat. Her legs fall limp to her side, scarred and numb, she’s paralyzed in her back legs and has to drag them around wherever she goes. Then finally, her eyes are a brilliant, captivating green and are easily the first thing others notice about her. Treepaw is a soft, curious she-cat at heart. With a need to learn and a desire for knowledge, Treepaw is always seeking something knew to learn about, and has also taken up quite the knack for mystery solving whenever cases for that arise. However, she’s not much of a fighter, never having taken an interest in fighting of any sort. In fact, she’s more of a pacifist than anything else, which does not bode well for a warrior in training. Plots... The history of OakClan has been one littered with the bloodshed of the innocent and unnecessary death. A cruel leader held the clan in his brutal grip so long it almost left the clan on the edge of extinction. His intention to make OakClan the strongest that had ever existed, capable even of taking down wolves and dogs. But this path to strength was soon tainted with the bodies of the weak decided unworthy of this clan. It appeared that this leader was blinded by his need for power, and didn't see the destruction he was putting his clan through. That if he didn't stop the strong clan he was so desperate for would see its end before his wish came into fruition. His reign continued, until even his own blood was brought into the world of war. His own kits weren't safe from his regime, and his own kits were placed in the same cruel life of their elders. But his own kits would be his downfall. Rebellion had begun to spark amidst its own ranks, and Stormstar joined them. Placing herself in its ranks, she fought her father never with the intention of taking her clan over herself, but making it a safer place. The battle which took her father from this life, took many members from the clan. Both those who fought for the light and the dark, leaving the clan small and broken even compared to its ruined state before the battle. Stormstar was chosen as leader, much to her own surprise. But peace was never meant to last. And the shadows are sparking once again, and if they can't take the clan for themselves this time, they will see it destroyed once and for all. And when cats start dropping dead like flies, and clues point to the cat at the head of a peaceful reign. Civil war might prove just as fatal as the shadows of our past. Additional Plotlines Stormstar and Windshear have drawn apart as a consequence of the leader's uncertainty as to whether or not she wants kits. In search of comfort, he falls into the arms of Hummingfrost, who becomes pregnant with his kits. At a similar time, Stormstar does in fact fall pregnant, soon after learning of her mate's betrayal with another cat, but for now all appears peaceful. However, soon after the birth of Hummingfrost's kittens, one is found dead, and evidence points to the pregnant Stormstar having killed it in a fit of rage in vengeance over her mate breaking her heart. Stormstar, believed to be following in the footsteps of her father's dark heart, is exhiled, and forced to leave her kits behind. Relationships...
