@angelfur
The bell above the bookstore exit jingled as Ryushi pushed through the door and out into the crisp, cold night. He pulled his jacket tight around his body, feeling the chill through his clothes and all the way to his bones. I could really go for some hot tea right now, he thought as he walked down the sidewalk on his way home. He had spent his evening doing what he loved, which was looking through books at the local bookstore. But before he knew it, the time had gotten away, and now he really needed to head home before it got too late into the night. So he shoved his hands inside his jacket pockets and walked, his breath visible in the autumn air.

(It's not a stupid question at all! They can drink animal blood, but it wouldn't sustain them as much as human blood. Animal blood would be more of a moral choice in this universe.)

He was very low on energy since feeding on animals for a good bit of time, his own choice but now he was done being drained and wished for a real meal. Sure drinking human blood at a time like this wasn't good but animal blood was not happening. Nope not today. Hmm or would it? A lot of humans he saw were wearing something silver. Darn. He saw a man coming out of a bookstore, he didn't see any silver but didn't mean there wasn't any. Just needed to wait for a chance of the guy going somewhere secluded, if not then his meal would be rabbit blood.

Ryushi quickened his pace, eager to be in the safety of his own home. He was wary; constantly looking over his shoulder every few minutes just to make sure he wasn't being followed. To others, Ryushi would seem far too paranoid. But he had good reasons for doing it, he swore. So when he saw another man nearby, he couldn't help but jump. He soon managed to recover his composure though. It was just one guy. What were the odds of him being...one of those. Right? α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄Christopher clicked his tongue. That was exactly what he was hoping to avoid, letting the mortals see their fight. But there wasn't much he could do about that now; he couldn't exactly bite an entire party's worth of people and make them forget. Nor would he even want to. With luck, hopefully the party was wild enough that most of the guests wouldn't remember anything anyway, whether from being drunk or just distracted.
"Okay. We'll have to drive somewhere else then, if you're okay with that." he said, glancing at Finn. He then strode forward, hoping the smaller man would keep up behind him. He crossed the street quickly without event, and carefully crept across the yard to where his car was still parked, the key left behind in the seat. He had to thank whatever twisted deity might be watching him that no one had stolen his car while he was gone.
He opened the door on the passenger's side, grabbed the crumpled empty blood packet, and stepped back, holding the door open for Finn. "Your...chariot? Awaits?" he said awkwardly, and immediately beat himself up inside for saying something so ridiculously dumb in a situation like this.

β½Boopβ½ Finn gulped and followed Christopher across the street, reluctant to be letting the vampire take him somewhere else but also knowing that it was necessary. He glanced longingly at Riley's house as they went, making a mental note to talk to her over the phone later.
The werewolf made a strange face at Christopher's comment when he opened the passenger side door for him. He hadn't expected Chris to be light about this situation, but his awkwardness managed to pull the corners of Finn's lips into the slightest smile. He ducked his head and seated himself inside the car, leaning his shoulder away from the backrest. For some reason, Finn didn't like the idea of letting his blood stain the interior of a vampire's car.
"Where will we go, then?" he asked once Christopher was inside as well. His hand was still clamped over the punctures in his shoulder, and he'd be lying if he said that his arm wasn't getting tired, or that he was feeling any less weakened. His hand was now stained red, but the bleeding had at least slowed. Finn wanted Chris to fix his shoulder as soon as possible. It was only one bite, so caring for the injury wasn't too urgent, but the sooner Finn could put this behind him, the better. "Take me somewhere close by." (lol Finn is so suspicious of Chris right now, but that will definitely change later)

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ (huehue yes it shalllll) Really? Chris berated himself as he walked to the other side of the car. Your chariot awaits? What are you doing, taking him on a date? Though admittedly a date with a guy as cute as Finn would be great, that was a terrible thing to say regardless and why would he be thinking like that this is serious! This guy could kill him if he wanted to and he might have half a mind to do it!
...Anyway. poor chris the stress must be getting to him When Christopher sat down in the driver's seat and closed the door, a new problem surfaced. The smell of blood permeated the car; how was Chris going to drive under this distraction? Well. He was just gonna have to suck it up (pun not intended but ya know what, I like it). He had many years of driving experience, being a vampire and all, so as long as he could focus, everything would be fine.
Gah, when this is over I'm gonna have to satisfy this stupid thirst somehow.
"Close by, huh? I guess the best place would be my work, then." Chris answered Finn as he finally put the key in the ignition and turned the car on. "The library isn't too far from here, and it's closed now so no one should be there." He put the car in reverse, backed out of the driveway, and pulled onto the street in the direction he'd take to get to the library.
The dimly-lit streets were quiet as the car progressed, the only sound being the hrummm of the engine. Christopher didn't try to make small talk on the way; he may have been plenty awkward tonight, but he wasn't completely tone-deaf. It wasn't very long before they were in town, and the familiar building drew closer in his field of vision. He turned into the darkened parking lot of his workplace, picked a parking space in the corner, and turned off the car.
He glanced at the over-head light, which had switched on when he took the key out of the ignition. Would it be too bright? He worried about whether he should turn it off. His gaze flicked to his companion, and he directed a finger towards the light source. "Are you still worried about being seen?" he asked. Chris knew he would be able to see just fine without the light, but Finn might not have those particular perks. He also wasn't sure if Finn would trust being in the dark with him, a vampire who had just bitten him earlier.
(Oh boy I just,,,ran with this one)

β½Boopβ½ Finn was already shrugging off his bloodstained coat as they pulled into the parking lot. Well, he did his best attempt; It wasn't exactly easy with only one arm, but he managed. The white t-shirt underneath was also stained with blood. If I had known this would happen then I wouldn't have worn white, Finn thought. But now was not the time for morbid humor.
Finn's alarm bells rang in his head when they came to a stop and the overhead light flicked on. He turned to the driver. Chris was asking if he was worried about being seen. So now Finn had to deliberate. It would be incredibly stupid and risky to trust a vampire to fix his bleeding wound completely in the dark, when Finn wouldn't be able to see him. But at the same time, with the overhead light on there was a possibility that humans could spot them. They would see a bleeding guy in the passenger side of a stranger's car and call the police. And more attention was not what either of them needed.
"Yes," Finn answered, his voice surprisingly confident. "We can't be seen." He then reached his free hand up to the overhead light, delicate fingers searching for the switch that would turn it off. When he found it, he hesitated, his spearmint eyes casting a distrustful look in Christopher's direction. "Don't you dare try anything," he threatened once more. Then he flipped the switch, enveloping the both of them in shadowy darkness.

There is another side to the alley which you can run through or you could run by me but that's more suicidal if you don't own something silver." The male said as he stared but not at the other guys face rather his neck where he could hear the jugular pulsing with blood. That sound almost made him want to rush and bite but he held strong, maybe due to morals? Or something more sinister? Who knows.

Ryushi blinked, a bit confused. He didn't quite understand why a vampire would advance on him like this but then let him get away. But maybe it didn't matter. The best thing to do now would be to run, right? His fight-or-flight instincts were telling him to flee, but at the same time, maybe it would be a good chance for him to stand his ground. "...Maybe I do own something silver." he muttered darkly, his hand quickly diving into his jacket pocket to fetch something. With this item, he could fight the vampire and not have to worry about becoming a meal.

Now go before I change my mind." The vampire said, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he watched the human male. The sound of his blood pumping made him really have to fight to keep control. Why must he be a vampire and not a human. At least then he would have no need to drain another of their plasma.

bullets "Hmmm." Daniel sat back for a bit, his expression calculating. He couldn't abandon this other boy, even if protecting him had been a slight inconvenience for him. He supposed that he would need to administer some medical help, in one way or another. Well, at least he knew some of the basics of first-aid. When he made his mind up, he gave another sigh and leaned forward again.
"We've gotta stop this bleeding," he repeated with a flat tone. "Here, put some pressure on it." He took the other boy's hand and placed it over the wound on his neck. Obviously it wouldn't help, but it was better than doing nothing until Daniel got some bandages. "Can you stand?" Anthony bit his lip, and, pulling his legs underneath his torso, attempted to stand. But when he got there, when he got to his impressive height of 5'4, his brain went haywire. Dizziness overcame him, and he nearly fainted. Again. It got so bad that he couldn't see straight. Letting out a small yelp of pain, both coming from his head and his neck, he tried his best to position himself so that he was leaning on this newfound person that had come to his rescue. Strings of curse words exited his open mouth as his blood crept down his shirt, Anthony not even fully understanding what had even happened. ( π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β gotcha !! ) .samael. Samael quickly caught onto Adelaide's suggestive tone, raising his eyebrow and a real smile pricking at his lips. "Oh yeah? Where would you like to head off to?" He was hoping that she'd want to head out somewhere... remote... somewhere where nobody could hear her screams. But that was likely not going to happen. Sigh. Guess he'll have to do it the old fashioned way... by dragging her into an alley late in the night and, well, proceeding to do his thing. But either way, he had to make this quick. "There's a greasy spoon down the road, if you'd like." Truth be told, there was one nearby, but... not as close as he suggested it to be. Hopefully she fell for it, she seemed like the type to. ( and everyone else i'll get up responses in a sec !! ) Adelaide smiled slightly up at him, "Well I was thinking the local bar, really. They have great wings and I'm still not drunk!" She giggled as she ran a hand their her soft silvery strands. "But if you'd like we can go to the place you were talking about! I don't mind, I was just hoping to get a little tipsy tonight!" She smiled as she walked back towards the back door into the house. She stopped and looked back beckoning him with her hand a little bit. "Come on! I'm starving!" She exclaimed as she slipped into the mass of people inside, making her way towards the front door. Samael couldn't really decide where he wanted to go. The bar seemed like a good idea, at least to the human side of him. But to his more monster side, he really wanted to go to the greasy spoon because, well, it's small, cheap, and there's many... hidden places around that area. But if she wanted to go somewhere else, I guess he could find some way to work around it. "Wherever you want to go, my pretty." He now deployed some slight... grooming... was that the right word for it? Whatever it was, it almost always worked. Make the other feel good, lead them off somewhere with promise of... less innocent things (at least, that most most often the tactic he usd to lead someone off somewhere), and then go in for the kill. The whole scheme made it more fun. For the vampire, at least. Samael smiled at the thought, before chasing her down through the crowds, appearing behind her as they walked out the front door. "I'm down to go anywhere."bullets "Well, then." Julian's tone grew noticeably relaxed at that. He continued wiping down the glass as he began speaking. "My sister called me this morning-we're twins, you know-and she's trying to pick out costumes for some Halloween party with our old graduating class. She's just dying to be a matching pair and I totally get that, but she wants to do something like twin fairies and...that's cute I guess, but I'd rather do something like an incubus and succubus. It'd be a lot more eye-catching, you know? If we're not the most attractive guests, then what's the point?"
And he kept going. "And then I was at the grocery store and I ran into my ex. Who would've thought! Well this happens often actually; I have a lot of exes but eh, who's counting? But anyway this one wanted to get back together and they were so gorgeous I almost took them back right then and there, but then another ex walked by! And-you won't believe this-" His grey eyes began to shine with excitement; he could barely suppress his grin. "It turns out they were also exes with each other! And both of them proposed that we all start over on a fresh page and go on a group date together. The offer was really tempting, but then I remembered the reason I broke up with them in the first place and just walked away." He shook his head as a small chuckle escaped his lips. "It was...an interesting experience, to be sure. But I suppose not altogether uncommon."
"And then there were those customers from earlier. Today really has been something." He set down the glass and propped his elbows on the counter, cradling his cheeks in his palms. His bright gaze illuminated his features as he looked into the audience's dark eyes. "And what about you? You certainly seem like the type to have all kinds of adventures."
(An average day in the life of Julian, lmao. I just kinda let improv flow with this one) Wow. Sarah really didn't expect his life to be that interesting, if she was honest. But then again, humans always are sort of interesting, they all have their own stories. So Sarah, trying to appear as human as, well, humanly possible, she went on her own little thing. "So I went to the record store today, you know, scoping out some, uh, new rock bands I guess. Didn't find a whole lot that I haven't already listened to. I dunno, there hasn't been much lately. The Bleakridge music scene is kinda shit, if I'm honest, for that good old rock and roll, you know?" Sure, there were nightclubs and music venues and all that here, but, at least from what Sarah knew about, there weren't many shows and venues that catered to her type of music here. Which was kind of sad to her. But she had to stop herself there, for risk of going overboard with how much she loved some music and hated others. "I was at the ice cream shop I work at earlier, and this dude comes in, looking sick and pale as all hell, asking if I had any spare change? I'm still real confused on that." Truth be told, that actually did happen, but Sarah knew what that was about. A homeless vampire, doing what he had to. Sad, real sad. "Other than those two things, my day has been kind of slow. Went to the book store, went to the bank, blah blah blah." Sarah sighed. "Not too much happened today."

@angelfur "I...I wouldn't be too sure of that." said Ryushi, with a slight stutter to his voice. "It'd be your words against mine, anyways." From his jacket pocket, he pulled out a small knife. It gleamed in the light cast by the streetlights nearby, revealing its coating to be made of silver. "Now, why don't you start running?" Ryushi said, pointing the knife in the other man's direction. Right now he was feeling uncharacteristically brave in the face of a vampire. Perhaps it was the adrenaline. bullets Daniel kept a watchful eye as the other boy attempted to stand, as he still appeared to be woozy. So when he saw that Anthony was leaning dangerously in his direction, he reached his arms out to catch him and steady him on his feet, letting the teen lean his weight against Daniel's shoulders.
"Uh...fine. Let's get you...somewhere else," The werewolf muttered, not exactly thrilled to be having to carry this guy's weight. He slowly began walking down the sidewalk with Anthony in tow, looking around for a convenience store that would still be open at this hour. One that might sell some cheap first-aid supplies. There. Daniel turned his head in the direction of a single store across the street that still had its lights on.
So the two crossed the street at a slow pace, luckily there were no cars out in this lonely part of town. There was another bench nearby, which Daniel figured would be a suitable place to put this injured teen while he went and got the needed supplies. He looked down at the shorter boy to see if he was still conscious.
"Hey, don't go fainting on me!" he snapped, roughly prodding Anthony's shoulder with one finger. "Think you can sit here while I go get some bandages?"

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄In an instant the light was off, and darkness surrounded them. But even without light illuminating Finn's features, Christopher could still clearly see him. He appeared wary, still looking at Chris with blatant distrust. He deserved it of course, but he had to commend Finn's bravery in this very moment. Not many mortals, even a werewolf, would willingly sit in the darkness with a vampire, especially when wounded. "I won't." he assured earnestly.
At this moment he realized he should be moving, and so move he did. He reached past Finn and popped open the glove box on the passenger's side. Inside was a first-aid kit. (One might wonder why he would have something like this in his car, as he didn't need it for himself. The truth was Brooke had left it one time when she was here, and Chris just didn't bother doing anything about it. And so it stayed. But he had to be thankful for that, as it was finally getting its use now.)
Inside the kit was a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, a series of bandages and gauze wrap, and tape, among other things. He poured the hydrogen solution over a pad of cotton and leaned in close over the puncture wound.
The bleeding had slowed over time, but there was still...a lot. Suddenly there was a burning in his throat and Chris became uncomfortably aware, once again, that he was still thirsty. Holding one hand over his nose to block out the scent, he gently tugged at the collar of the white t-shirt Finn was wearing to push it aside and expose the wound. Then he scrubbed the pad over it with a tender carefulness. This would do two things: help wash away some of the blood, and hopefully keep off infection.
Next was the gauze. "Sorry." he whispered as he tugged Finn's sleeve further down so the collar dipped over his shoulder. He unrolled a section of the gauze, ripped it off with his teeth, and wrapped it around Finn's shoulder, making sure it was snug before taping it.
"Well, that should do it." he said after he was done. He looked down at his hand and noticed that some blood had gotten on the side of his index finger. Shit, he thought, the stress from holding in his instincts finally undoing him at the sight. Before he could stop himself the skin was in his mouth, the metallic tang on his tongue.
He hoped Finn couldn't see him in the darkness.

β½Boopβ½ (Pfft, it's all good. It builds tension and serves to remind that vampires aren't perfect. Those pesky instincts. ) Finn couldn't help but tense sightly as he heard the sound of the glove box opening somewhere to his right. Any little sound that Christopher made sent the hair rising on the back of Finn's neck, and he had to try and force himself to relax. The anxiety was creeping in, yet even still, Christopher's earnest tone in his voice seemed to at least help things a little. A small thought fluttered through Finn's mind that maybe, just maybe, the vampire could actually be trusted. But there was no way to be sure yet. And Finn still couldn't let his guard down.
He flinched when he suddenly felt the sting of the hydrogen peroxide on his wound. Finn hissed, his hand flying up to shove Christopher away but he managed to stop himself from doing it, telling himself that Chris was only helping him. After that he tried to stay quiet as Christopher bandaged his shoulder, holding back any whimpers of pain.
Then, finally, it was done. Once Christopher had leaned away, Finn immediately reached over to his jacket and slid his arms through the sleeves. Having the jacket on made him feel safer somehow, despite the situation.
"Well, um, th-thank you..." Finn murmured in the dark. He didn't turn the light back on, still worried about being seen. "...For bandaging me up. If you were willing to do that, then m-maybe...maybe you had good intentions after all." He looked away as he said this, his cheeks warming in the faintest blush. "Maybe I can believe what you said. About not wanting to hurt the humans."
@angelfur Any confidence that Ryushi had right then left him when the vampire suddenly smacked the knife out of his hand, sending it clattering loudly onto the sidewalk. His breath caught in his throat as Larkin loomed over him, ready to attack with his fangs. The vampire was far too close for comfort, and Ryushi's fight-or-flight response kicked in once again. He brought his hands up and shoved the vampire away with all his might, backing away a few steps as he did so. Then he dived down onto the ground in a desperate attempt to reclaim the silver knife.
