Banebreaker: This large two-handed greataxe speaks of a warrior far stronger than any seen normally. The black leather-wound grips, stitched with blood red threads, are positioned at three equidistant points along the hefty ebony-carved shaft, providing several different ways to grip the weapon. The large curved blade at the head features a raven etched into the deeply blued steel, and a nasty hook on the underside. Opposite the blade are two parallel spikes of equal length, fashioned to resemble talons. A blood-red ruby the size of a small chicken's egg is set in either side of the head where it joins the blade, and a smaller third spike protrudes from the top of the haft, mirrored by a rounded spike on the bottom. Etchings in silver and red down the length of the shining black haft depict crows, ravens, and other creatures of death and carrion. The haft is bound by strong enchantments: it can never break, and is perfectly balanced in any grip. The axe head can cleave through any living material with great ease, though non-living things still part like crumbling paper at the weight of the weapon. "And from the pits of blood and darkness, Evil did come forth, the embers of his eyes reflecting in the shining blade of that fearsome weapon..."

I must admit you've piqued my interest! Pendant of the Aerie: This ornate piece of jewelry is more than just pretty to look at; it holds power only known to but a few. The long, slender silvery chain is made of not one, but three rows of tiny links, interweaving in a strange pattern that twists as the eye follows the length. The clasp will only come unhooked at the will of the wearer, and the chain does not tarnish, cannot be cut, and will not irritate the wearer. The cunningly crafted pendant itself is composed of two thee-sided pyramids of shining gold wire set flat to flat, a weaving of smaller gold threads binding the two together. A smoothed, irregular green gem sits in the center, its shape seeming to change if viewed at different angles. The pendant has several effects on the wearer, the first and most powerful being very heightened natural senses. It also gives considerably increased balance and dexterity, and higher stamina. The final ability is somewhat strange: the wearer often will see and feel beings and forces intersecting with their plane of existence, yet that are invisible and intangible to others around. These glimpses of other realms often drive the wearer mad if the pendant is worn too long at length. "And out of the white shadows, I beheld a slender hand bedecked in fine jewels, and it caressed my face, leaving me staring in confusion and fear at the rippling air between my lover and I..."

Shadowforge Blade: This short one-handed arming sword packs a much bigger punch than you'd think. The dark crimson blade is honed razor sharp on both sides, enchanted to never dull or break. And when it touches flesh, the flesh melts into flaming shadow, blood boiling and skin burning into ash. The black diamond set into the silver crossguard holds a spell that can immobilize enemies with fear, and the wicked spiked pommel can spit deadly poison. The blade balances easily in the hand, and is lighter than it should be. A shadow and a cold wind seems to follow the sword no matter where it goes. "Bodies dissolved at his will as the demon razed through our ranks, shadow and fire and ice laughing gleefully in the wake of the child of destruction..."

Helm of the Usurper: This elegantly wrought helm of kingly status carries more weight than evident in its sun-bronze and star-steel plates so intricately woven into regal crown; it first belonged to the man who overthrew all known kingdoms in a single conquest. The helm itself is composed of cleverly interlocked plates of alternating sun-bronze and star-steel, forming a solid shell that wraps around the head, leaving the face to be covered by a movable visor that can slide up or down. Two curling ivory horns adorn either side of the helm, etched in spiraling patterns and inlaid with sun-bronze. A single small emerald is set in the brow of the visor, binding powerful spells onto the helm; it allows the wearer to retain normal hearing functionality, changes shape around the neck to allow for more varied movement of the head if needed, and allows the wearer to see much better in darkness or smoke. In addition, the helm is completely impervious to purely magical attacks, and is reinforced against physical weapons beyond the strength of the metal itself. "His eyes glowed from beneath that shining mask, his fury flashing bright in the emerald on his brow as his twisted magic wrought the world to his will and kingdoms were vanquished overnight..."

Cloak of Envy: A long black cloak, studded with ebony and trimmed with deep green weaving on the edges. A tall hood can obscure the head, and an extra fold of cloth hanging around the neck can be pulled up to entirely cover the face. It's held at the front with a silver clasp, featuring a black onyx gem surrounded in finely etched depictions of wolves, phantoms, and other dark creatures. The fabric is enchanted to never tear or snag on things, and three pockets within the inner folds can hold nigh unlimited things without weighing down the user. It also muffles any sounds of movement, and simmers like a shadow, averting the gaze of anyone who isn't intently focused on the wearer. The cloak, however, has some nasty side effects on anyone who wears it for too long; they become bloodthirsty, jealous, and skeptical of even their closest friends, sometimes even being driven to murder or other heinous acts. "Cloaked in Envy, he stalked the cold stone halls, killing the guards with daggers in the back, and slipped silently into the treasury, gold and silver and jewels folding into his cloak as he folded away into the shadows, never to be seen again..."

Grieving Gauntlets: Two thin silver bracelets, flat but twisted in such a way that a finger run along one edge will loop along the other and all the way back to where it started, completely unadorned save for a tiny mark depicting a teardrop on each. Bound with powerful magic, they will only activate when supplied with substantial amounts of negative emotion from the wearer, the most powerful being mourning. When activated, tiny threads and ribbons of silver weave themselves into gauntlets over the wearer's hands, fitting more snug than any glove and yet proving utterly impenetrable and sturdier than a solid plate of steel. Small spikes adorn each knuckle, and if the user wills it, talons can extend at the tips of the fingers, razor sharp and deadly. Inlaid with burnished copper on the backs of the hands is same teardrop shape, lined with runes that spell words of great sorrow and pain. "That single salted tear, dropping silent and still, mourning those gone dear, changed the hands to those that kill"

Super down for this. Just wanted to know if I could use it in something once you give me a relic or is it just for fun? Idm either way Rod of Nine Hells: A short, simple metallic rod about 8 inches long and no thicker than the pinky finger, but sharpened to a point on one end and rounded smooth on the other. Small black runes run along the length, spelling out an ancient curse, and are the only decoration on the entire item. The holder is protected from any physical attack, whether it be a stab or a poison, the rod dispels any attempt to harm the holder. In return, whoever initiated the attack is inflicted with nine variations of it in full force. The rod can do nothing against purely magical attacks, but even if a physical attack is accidental or not intended to truly harm, it will still react without differentiation or mercy. This means that the holder must be very wary when coming into contact with people, as the rod can often interpret a simple handshake as an attempt to strangle. "At the click of the steel dagger against his mail-clad arm, I felt my entire left side go numb. The pain then came upon me, fire and ice and steel and stone, and I fell screaming to the floor, looking up at his cold, emotionless eyes... He'd known this would happen."

Ring of Hungry Flames: A small gold ring, flat and woven of three bands fit snugly together. A small white gem is set in the top, with curling lines of red bronze swirling around it and then wrapping the ring in a warm embrace. Whoever wears the ring has an immediately heightened sense of heat and cold, but isn't bothered by cold nearly as easily. They gain more control over the sense the longer they wear the ring, but also gain more abilities. They can focus their body heat into a point or points, and emit heat and eventually flames. They become hot to the touch, uncomfortable for others to be near as they start to burn anything flammable they come into contact with. If they do not take off the ring at this point, they cannot ever again. The process quickens, becoming more violent then. They cannot wear regular clothing, they burn the water out of the air in a room, and they leave red hot footsteps in their path when they walk. Eventually they are wreathed in constant flames that cannot even be extinguished in the icy winter seas, and they burn and burn at an ever quickening rate until they are simply flames, tiny suns on the ground. Finally, when there is nothing of them left, the heat and the fire will slowly dissolve away, leaving no trace behind. "He left when things got bad, when the fires couldn't be put out. I saw him once more, many months later, it had to have been him, but it was simply a fire, a smoldering lump of flames burning in a field in the middle of a thunderstorm..."

Dagger of the Daring: This dagger was forged by a group of powerful smiths, wizards, and scholars working together. The blade is made from the highest quality steel, deeply blued and etched on the surface, revealing a swirling, folding pattern that fans the length of the blade. The hilt is carved from a dark cherry wood, with a thin sweeping crossguard of wrought bronze. A bronze pear shaped pommel with a blunt spike caps the other end. The sheath is crafted of a tough leather with colorful fringes of wool woven in. It is stuffed with five small rubies down the outside. When the sheath is worn and the dagger is sheathed, the wearer experiences an enormous boost in confidence and bravery. The moment it is unsheathed, the effect dulls considerably but is still present. "The moment the buckle clicked and that dagger rested on my hip, I felt the strength of ten men course through my veins."

The Raging Reign: This intriguing stone is a small octahedron cut ruby, measuring about 1.5cm wide at the points. It is mostly homogenous in color, with a few darker streaks running through the center. It is set in a very thin wire case, wrapping the opposing points and providing a loop to be attached to a chain, but it is most often found alone. The magic embedded in it is very complex and not well understood; many have died of natural cause before uncovering much more than to warrant a single note on the item. The spell it places on the holder causes them to be highly prone to anger and fits of rage, but the triggers for such episodes are not well understood. They do not cohere with what would normally anger the person, and so are very difficult to predict or avoid. During such episodes, the person acquires a red tint to their eyes, and most report that they personally see things through this red tint. Their strength is increased tenfold, but they have no concept of such, and often break things without even meaning to, with seemingly minimal effort. The most often found side effect besides the anger, is a what has been described of as a creeping thought that worms though the holder's mind, eventually convincing them beyond all doubt that they have divinely inspired power over all others regardless of rank. "I watched as the king's body crumpled before my hands, the crown lifted from his bleeding face, gold like putty in my hands and I plucked the jewels from it, tossing the mangled circlet on the mangled body with disgust, and lifting my shining prizes to the glittering red sun..."

Dice of Madness: A set of five dice, carved from bone, polished bright and etched with gold. Each is on of the five Platonic Solids with 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 sides respectively. They are each numbered by counting numbers on each side. The dice have no special effect whatsoever unless rolled all together with a shout of "Madness!", when which they will speak a phrase telepathically to the one who threw them, often of riddle-like structure and nature. The only problem with this is that whoever threw the dice cannot physically speak the exact words or any paraphrase; they simply are able to describe the nature of the riddle, and often it is so complex in nature that no other can understand it. Most say that the riddle has to do with the very nature of the thrower of the dice; it is a fundamental observation that holds secrets to their very existence. The quest to try and uncover the meaning of such a riddle has unfailingly driven the quester completely mad, with some choosing to take their own lives rather than have such a question haunt their every waking moment, and others going to such extremes to find the answer that they have been pegged as tyrannical lunatics and had bounties placed on them. The dice have then been passed from thrower to thrower, never by choice and never being answered, locked up many times, and as often cast by their jailers only to once again end up travelling the world. "And if the Dice Land Foul, still we carry on."

Breastplate of the Seas: A piece of burnished steel plate armor that fits anyone who wears it perfectly, providing protection against any and all blows it absorbs. It is unbreakable, unpierceable, and does not rust, scratch or dent. It weighs little to nothing, and is easily equippable and removable with no extra help. It is formed of one solid piece, with a pronounced ridge running down the middle to deflect blows. When struck, the metal turns a vibrant hue of blue-green like seawater, and emits a low hum like that heard in a seashell. If it is struck with excessive repetition or force, mist and foam will begin to be expelled at random, potentially blinding enemies in a salty spray. The humming sound is said to hypnotize enemies, calming and weakening them and bolstering the wearer's own mind and body. "He walked the battlefield clad in a suit of sea-green, enemies simply laying down on the ground before him, and he was ever followed by a gentle soothing hum."
