i gotta look through my charries to figure out who else to use
I might switch out that character for my morally just charrie with a hero complex. She's a cute patoot and would always be like "guys we can't just land on the planet, we gotta call them and ask if we can!" or always be forcing them to stay somewhere to help a species out

(I'mma go with the name DAISy- for Dual-core Artificial Intelligence System.)
(She will be an AI that has a robotic body she can use if she needs a physical form, but prefers to stay on the ship and advise people from a distance. She can be used to analyze and store data like the creatures they discover and stuff and can go inside machines and hack them and stuff like any good AI.)
(And she is very logical, being a computer program. She doesn't understand emotion and will likely conflict with everybody else, often.)
