Sign me up! None of my info has changed. I'm not officially participating in NaNo - due to the sudden occurrence of a job-related incident - but I'm working on finishing up the first Corvidae book in the few afternoons I get, and I'm always keen to talk to people about that

I honestly have no idea what NaNo is. But I do still want to write and have my story checked out and such. Nothing changed.

There are pirates in it, now. And witches. Sort of. And it turns out pirates were very superstitious people, so that shall be extremely fun to play with.
What about you? Are you doing NaNo?

Sea: This is NaNo. You poor soul, if you have not run into this time eater: nanowrimo.orgDingo: Ooo! Witches (sort of) and pirates??? I need all the details! Put a woman on the ship! Put a cat on the ship! Do everything wrong! I'm doing NaNo, being the crazy gal I am. I'm working on Will C. Morgen book 2. It's called Last Will and Testament and it's a murder mystery. O3O I just need to work on making it good now.

Technically they're witches, but they're referred to as Sages. Slate is a Sage, although she uses her talents for harm rather than healing - a big no-no, which is how she ended up serving the Overlord. Exile is not fun. Snakeeyes was a pirate before he served the Overlord. The pirates in this story are mostly nuisances, but at some point they found a valley, built an awesome Venice-inspired city and stayed there. It would be impossible to get rid of them now. They still raid/pillage/plunder, but most people have a 'they're not our problem if they leave us alone" mentality. There is definitely a cat on most ships. Gotta keep the mice away from the food stores. Considering bryony ends up on a ship, there is definitely at least one woman on board (probably more, gotta work out what the other members of her family are doing)
I love the title. It's glorious. And I love murder mysteries, so bonus points! Can't wait to see how you go!

Never heard of NaNo, but it looks fun! Don't think I'll participate this year, but I'll keep it in mind for the future~!
Mint, I wanted to ask if Crossovers and LGTBQ+ relationships were allowed in our writing pieces. I was thinking of doing of one of my favourite fandom's characters Warrior Cats style... :3

I would die if I tried to do NaNo... mostly because I don't have the time or ability to write fast enough without procrastinating to do that and I would fail miserably

My highest word count that I reached over the last two years was only 11,000/50,000. This year I'm already seeing an improvement in how much I'm writing a day! Don't think of it as homework or a chore, think of it as an excuse to write and be creative while being a part of something taking place all over the world!!

That's still amazing though! .o.But of course I don't see it as a chore. It's just hard. ;-; I've already been forcing myself to write every day even if it's just three hundred words and it makes me happy every time knowing I've accomplished something. The little things add up. You might say "it doesn't make a difference if I write a hundred words or not" but if you do that every day, for, say, a year... 0 × 365 = 0. While 100 × 365 = 36,500. So yeah. But doing that much in one month is like... writing 1,000 words a day. At the very least. That's a feat I could only accomplish during the summer.

I've never participated in NaNo, thought about it, but never did. Shortest time I ever put together a book was OLD GENT in 2016 or so, and that took me 6 months. . . .

Sorry, Phantom, there's been a little bit of a miscommunication on my part. Since you already had a week last month, we need to make room for someone who hasn't gone yet. You can re-enter in December!
This goes for everyone. Once you have a week, you must wait until the month after the next to participate again. This way it's not the same people two months in a row!
