A Plot

Just as he was getting lost in memories, a voice ripped him out of the past and into the present. In front of Robbie was a woman wearing the same thing as some others he had seen. "Ah, I'm working here starting today so I'm just waiting for my badge." He leaned against the counter as his brown eyes glanced around, taking in the lobby of the building. To get to his work space, Robbie would have to go up the elevator to the sixth floor and find someone named Keith. Or was it Ken? Either way it started with K. The lady came back and gave him the badge, saying, "I hope you have a good first day, Mr. Williams." Robbie nodded with a smile before clipping his badge onto his shirt pocket and heading towards the elevator. He waved at the woman who had come up to the desk while he was there, not recognizing her either. If he had, then Robbie would have embraced the skinny girl and sobbed, apologizing softly and repeatedly until he lost the ability to speak. The regret from having to move had weighed on him as a child and made him into the solitary man he was today.
