I was re-reading my old name rater thread and got the urge to bring it back. There doesn't seem to be that many active name rater threads on here anyway.
I rate these names based on my opinion. Names are rated on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, plus being put in the Hall of Fame.
Also, I do have a name guide if anyone is interested, although it is quite old and is in need of updating.
Rules:
- I only rate Warrior names, so no Tribe/Apprentice/Kittypet names, please. - You may post however many times you want, but I only rate five names at a time. - Not sure if this would be considered a traditional rule, but I really dislike names starting with "Star" and "Moon," so I won't be rating names with those prefixes or suffixes.
Hall of Fame:
- Rainlilly (Redfleck)
- Sneezewhisker (Redfleck)

Orchidbloom Nightrunner Jaggedleap Spottedwing Pikefang Orchidbloom - 5/10. A cute sounding name, but I've never been the biggest fan of the prefix "Orchid."
Nightrunner - 8/10. I've always loved "-runner" as a prefix, and "Night," fits quite nicely! Reminds me of a very stealthy black cat!
Jaggedleap - 4/10. "Jagged" is one of those weird prefixes that I've never really liked in warriors, it doesn't make much sense to me and seems to fit tribe names much better. Although, "-leap," does make the name sound interesting, just not my cup of tea.
Spottedwing - 3/10. I really dislike "Spotted," as a prefix and "-wing" doesn't really match that well.
Pikefang - 7/10. A simple, but decent, name.

Cindershade Redwing Skyflight Wingstep Lilystem Cindershade - 8/10. Never been the biggest fan of "-shade," but this name is super pretty!
Redwing - 5/10. I like "Red," as a prefix, but I'm not the biggest fan of "-wing," being used with it.
Skyflight - 4/10. It kinda makes sense, but I really don't like how it sounds out loud and the look of it.
Wingstep - 3/10. Never really seen "Wing," be used as a prefix before. Although, it does remind me of a cat that is really light on their feet.
Lilystem - 8/10. Very pretty name!

Ripplestorm Smokefoot Rainlily Dewlight Sneezewhisker Ripplestorm - 5/10. Interesting name, never been the biggest fan of "Ripple," though.
Smokefoot - This name is canon.
Rainlily - 10/10. Super pretty name, I really do love the imagery that comes with it! Was gonna rate it a 9/10 but I think it's too pretty to be rated anything but a 10!
Dewlight - 8/10. Another pretty name!
Sneezewhisker - 10/10. This name is just adorable! I don't know why but I've really fallen in love with the prefix "Sneeze," even though it shouldn't make sense.
Congrats on the two hall of fame names!

Mountainfrost Mosquitowing Blackblossom Vixenheart Elkrun Mountainfrost - 7/10. A very pretty name, although maybe somewhat of a mouthful.
Mosquitowing - 3/10. The name does make sense, but poor Mosquitokit.
Blackblossom - 5/10. While it's an interesting name, and somewhat pretty, it's strange to say out loud because the prefix and suffix both start with "B."
Vixenheart - 1/10. "Vixen," is one of my most disliked prefixes, sorry.
Elkrun - 6/10. A good name! I like to see "Elk," being used more.

Scruffytail Icespark Flashstrike Canarysong Coldstorm Scruffytail - 5/10, It's a pretty unique name, I understand what you were going for, but I'm just not the biggest of the prefix "Scruffy"
Icespark - 7/10. Overall, just a decent name!
Flashstrike - 6/10. I really love the use of suffix "-strike" with this name, reminds me a fast cat, I'm just not the biggest fan of the prefix.
Canarysong - 7/10. Like it Icespark, it's a decent name overall!
Coldstorm - 7/10. "Cold" is always such an interesting prefix, and "-storm" goes quite nicely with it!

Sunwillow Juniperleap Rainsong Echobird Clearwing (Thank you!) Sunwillow - 9/10. Ah, this is such a pretty name! There's nothing I would change about it!
Juniperleap - 5/10. I love "Juniper" as a prefix, but I don't think "-leap" makes much sense here.
Rainsong - 9/10. Like with Sunwillow, this one is such a pretty name as well!
Echobird - 3/10. I've never been the biggest fan of "Echo", and while it's nice to see "-bird" being used a suffix here, I just don't think it fits well here.
Clearwing - 6/10. Not much to say other than it's a decent name.

Sunshine Silvermoon Gemglow Dreamwish Windgust Sunshine - 3/10. It's a kinda pretty name but it also has been overused to death at this point.
Silvermoon - 4/10. A very literal name, not the biggest fan of the suffix but it works here.
Gemglow - 3/10. I really think "-glow" could work quite well as a suffix but "Gem" doesn't really fit here, nor am I the biggest fan of cats have minerals in their name.
Dreamwish - 3/10. The suffix is interesting, I'm just not the biggest fan of the prefix. It sounds pretty, I just don't think it works that well as a name all together.
Windgust - 1/10. These words mean almost the exact same thing. This would be like naming a cat Fireflame. I'll give you a point because the name sounds kinda cool but it does not work at all.

Briarberry Darkfall Tangleclaw Mottledpelt Blacktail Briarberry - 7/10. It's kind of a cute name, and the double alliteration isn't that bad.
Darkfall - 5/10. It's an ok name. I've always like "-fall" as a suffix, and while the prefix works here, it just doesn't make the name stand out all that much.
Tangleclaw - 5/10. I like the prefix "Tangle", and while "-claw" is fine by me, it just seems kinda strange with this name. It's an odd name to say out loud.
Mottledpelt - 4/10. It works as a name but I've just never really been a fan of the prefix.
Blacktail - 5/10. It's just an ok name overall.

Forestfire - 4/10. It's an interesting name, but I can't really picture a cat to go along with it. As nice as it is to see "-fire" being used as a suffix, I don't really think it goes well with the prefix "Forest".
Tinyflame - 2/10. I understand what you were going for, and I really like "Tiny" as a prefix, but I'm just not the biggest fan of "-flame" being used here, I don't really think it matches well.
Snowsong - 5/10. I think the name sounds really pretty, but it doesn't really make much sense given the fact that snow is quiet when it falls.
Ashfall - 5/10. It's a decent name, albeit a rather common name as well.
Icygaze - 4/10. I really like "-gaze" as a suffix, but I've just never been a fan of "Icy" as a prefix.

Torrentcloud Cascadestorm Wolfshade Doveshine Wavefrost Torrentcloud - 2/10. I like "-cloud" as a prefix, but I've never been the biggest fan of "Torrent".
Cascadestorm - 2/10. While the name does sound pretty, I feel like those two words don't make much sense together. Also it's quite long.
Wolfshade - 2/10. This is literally just me, but I just really am not the biggest fan of both the prefix and suffix, I just feel like it's a little too over used. "-shade" doesn't make much sense to me here either, as when I think of this suffix being used, I think of a cat that is stealthy/light on their feet, and wolves really aren't know for that.
Doveshine - 5/10. A decent name, I've seen it before. Don't really have much to say besides that "-shine" sounds a little weird when paired up with a bird prefix, but I'm pretty sure doves can have iridescent feathers.
Waveforst - 6/10. Sounds pretty! I like this visual I get when I think of a cat with this name.

(I have returned with more!) Silentstep Whisperwind Tumblestep Emberflash Lostpath Silentstep - 5/10. It's a decent name. I'm normally not the biggest fan of action sounds being used as prefixes, but "Silent" gets a little bit of a pass from me because my first ever WC OC was called Silentsparrow. xP
Whisperwind - 3/10. I really like seeing "-wind" used a suffix, but I'm just not the biggest fan of the prefix.
Tumblestep - 5/10. It's decent. I can imagine a warrior being renamed to this if they have to retire to the elder's den early due to an injury or something.
Emberflash - 4/10. It's alright.
Lostpath - 2/10. I like seeing "-path" being used, but poor Lostkit!

Here’s some random names of OCs off the top of my head. Hope you like them! Rainmist Tideleap Martenscar Bearwood (I know this one won’t grade well but it’s my first OC so I had to include him ) Claystripe Rainmist - 9/10. Man, this is such a pretty name! I can easily picture a cat to go with it, along with some nice imagery!
Tideleap - 7/10. A decent name! It sounds quite pretty, honestly. Love to see the use of "-leap", it's quite an underrated suffix.
Martenscar - 5/10. Literally had to look up what a Marten was because I've never heard of that animal. Interesting name, but if those animals are native to where the cats live, then I guess the use of "Marten-" is acceptable.
Bearwood - 2/10. I don't mind "Bear-" being used a prefix, but I'm struggling to think of why it would be paired with "-wood" as a suffix, other than the fact that both of them are.. brown?
Don't worry, my first OC was called Silentsparrow, it's nostalgic to me but I wouldn't rate it very high now.
Claystripe - 7/10. A fine name! "Clay-" is interesting, and I think "-stripe" works well here with it! It's nice to see that suffix being used in general, I think it's rather underrated.
