If anyone is curious about the ShC deputy situation, it goes like this: First Tawnypelt, second Juniperclaw, third Cloverfoot. This is from the spoilers I got. seriously? no strikestone? the most trustworthy and loyal shadowclan cat besides tawnypelt? i am disappoint Yeah, I wish Strikestone could've been deputy. He was the only good one in Dawnpelt's litter. Well, in my opinion. He was my favourite of the litter, that's for certain. He's also the only one still in the Clan.

What happens to Skyclan in the end? I know that they stay at the lake, but nothing else...
Also, who dies in this book, if anyone?

Many people will be happy to know that Tigerstar's character is suddenly something other than Literally Perfect in this book. At the first Gathering in chapter 6, he pulls a Kuvira and declares that now that he has made ShadowClan strong again, they no longer need SkyClan for anything, and ShadowClan will have full hunting rights on SkyClan's territory. And, get this, Harestar sort of backs him up. Harestar whyTigerstar not being Literally Perfect is great but please don't drag Harestar down with you

Honestly am happy that a she-cat is deputy of ShadowClan ... they haven't had a female leader in ages. I just hope Cloverfoot got some good development in the book.

Finleap disgusts me in this book. He basically tries to peer pressure Twigbranch into having his kits even after after she says she wants to focus on her duties first. His reason for this is because he wants to make sure that Twigbranch wants him and so that he'll feel at home in ThunderClan. Here's the line:

In response to the "Who dies?" question posed: Juniperclaw dies while saving Shadowkit. Beforehand he had taken on more of an antagonistic role by causing trouble with SkyClan.
Only confirmed death so far ...

Harestar whyTigerstar not being Literally Perfect is great but please don't drag Harestar down with you Wasn't Harestar mentioned to be xenophobic before though? No, if anything he's been very reasonable. He wanted to give ShadowClan the herbs they needed in Thunder and Shadow, he's pro-SkyClan in Darkest Night, and he's apparently willing to shelter some RiverClan cats in River of Fire. That's why this is so baffling and horrible.

I need to feel like I belong to you - that you want me. If you never want kits with me, I'm unsure if I'll ever feel at home in ThunderClan." *sigh* Yay, another nice love interest going down the Road of Bumblestripe so we can cheer against him... Seriously, that's gross. Is it really so hard to write a tom who's okay with being rejected, Erins?

You'd be somewhat correct! He actually dies saving Violetshine, although Shadowkit is in the scene. Seems like Strikestone is the only decent cat out of his littermates.

My only care and Question Does Berrynose live? Yes! He has a short cameo near the beginning (9 mentions in all)
But his Norwegian name translates to "Bear Nuts" which is super embarrassing for him

And, get this, Harestar sort of backs him up. Oh my god. ...Is it bad that I'm kinda happy that they seem to be ruining Tigerheart's character? Pfft. I'm horrible. But also what the hell, Harestar? What is happening? Are we in the dark timeline, Warriors-wise? Crowfeather's book was (arguably) good, Alderheart is feeding cats deathberries in the vague hope it'll help, WindClan has regressed after Onestar seemingly jumped into Harestar's body after Harestar was shown as a reasonable cat, Tigerheart has gone watered-down Brokenstar 2.0 and demanded hunting rights in another Clan's territory, Twigbranch is being strict with her apprentice after having two strict mentors and hating it, and I'm so confused!!! This is the work of Mapleshade
