Nettle suddenly stopped as she'd found one. The she-cat quickly flipped the rock over and went to kill the snake swiftly. If she'd been too slow the snake could've bitten her or gotten away. This method wasn't exactly what Beefur had taught her but it seemed to work.

"I won't." Jaggedtalon looked back at Slenderoak. "Suppose, we ought to get you back to the nursery." He said though his tone was reluctant. Jaggedtalon missed being close to her.
Heathernose nodded her head in approval. "Although, you will always be a mousebrain in my eyes."

Eveningbreeze sat outside the warrior den eating a tiny mouse, or what meat was actually left on the mouse. Fewer prey was coming in and those that were found were tiny, meager scraps with barely a couple bites on them. This was not a good sign being only the begining of leafbare.

Moosecharge had managed to find a scrawny squirrel on his last hunting trip, he was still injured, but the clan needed food more than he needed time to sit and rest. After dropping the prey off with the queens, Moosecharge lifted his head and glanced around the camp. Spotting Eveningbreeze, the large tom flicked his tail and meandered towards her, a limp still slightly evident in his gait. As he approached the she-cat, he dipped his head and settled down beside her. "Winter is coming, eh?"

"Too quickly," Evenigbreeze mewed, looking up at the tom with a heavy sigh. So many of her clanmates were still healing from the wounds which made her feel guilty for being realtively uninjured. "I was actually about to go back out and hunt," she mewed. The snow falling gracefully from the sky buried into her thick white fur, making her pelt look as shiny as the snowbanks around the camp.

Moosecharge nodded along with she-cat's words, feeling the cold wind blowing in his face only further proved her point. "It will not be an easy one, not with more mouths stealing our food." The tom shot a glare towards where the rogues usually hung out, his tailtip twitching irritably. If there was one rule of the warrior code he would be okay with breaking it would be the one that is against killing, those rogues deserved nothing less. "I managed to scrounge up something as well, but it was nothing much, just a scrawny squirrel, the queens got that one."

Eveningbreeze nodded. "Once I finish this I'm going back out. Want to join me?" She asked, "we can wait a while and let you rest if you need to."

This method wasn't exactly what Beefur had taught her but it seemed to work. Sweetdapple watched her, ready to help but not quite knowing how. He watched the she-cat hunt and found a pleasantness in her focus. Nettle was like him, sharp-tongued and dissatisfied. At least now she looked alright.

Nettle looked to the tom "should one be enough or do you want to try and collect more?" she asked before picking up the snake.

Truthfully, the tom did not want to go collect another. But, ever prideful, he refused to be one-upped by the younger she-cat. So he padded off to try and catch his own like he'd seen Nettle do, not knowing she hadn't exactly used proper tactics. He managed to locate one on the back corner of a shaded rock, hiding quietly before pouncing on it. Unfortunately for Sweetdapple, he had no idea how to actually kill the snake properly, so he stomped on it until it stopped moving, which seemed to work, however inefficient. He picked it up and happily prodded over to her before saying, "Two's fine!" like he was some sort of serpent expert.

She resisted laughing at the tom just a bit, almost letting out a snort and dropping the snake. She nodded to Sweetdapple and began back up the gorge, remaining slow as to wait for Sweetdapple. Nettle hadn't enjoyed her time here in a while. Most of the time she'd just been really upset or pessimistic towards her clanmates.

Nettle followed closely behind him, watching and listening for anything. She was just a tad paranoid that the rogues had possibly followed them on their hunting trip.

Rain growled softly as he glared at the wolves. He wished he could be older so that he could kill every last one of these miserable rogues! He digs his claws into the ground and imagines that he's clawing at their miserable pelts! A part of himself hated that he shared rogue blood.

Ever since the clan was taken over by rogues, Brightmoss has been storing away his own prey. It wasn’t much and no one else knew about it but himself. The tuxedo cat was burying a small robin alongside his other kills. He knew it was selfish of himself to not share with the clan but he was scared of getting caught by a rogue. ‘Maybe I can sneak some in at night? Slenderoak and Raincloud would appreciate it. I can’t just let those lovely queens starve.”

"Talking to yourself?" Babette purred from a tree branch above Brightmoss. She enjoyed lounging high in the trees where no one could see her. She learned a lot that way.

Brightmoss quickly hovered over his buried stash and looked up at the glowing eyes of the she-cat. His tail swayed with nervousness over the fact that she may have seen him bury prey. “Hello Babette. Fancy seeing you here...” He said in his usually flirty tone. “And me? Talking to myself? Oh everyone talks to themselves Babette. I’m sure you do too.”

Babette sighed and flicked her tail. She knew about his prey stash, had known for a few days now but decided against saying so. Instead she shrugged nonchalant and mewed, "me? Never. It would give my position away when I'm observing...which I'm always doing..."

He looked at her weirdly and set his snake down for a second, "Nettle, are you okay?" She looked too intense for a hunting session, and he was beginning to slightly care about the apprentice.
