ShadowClan has just completely fallen apart since Rowanstar became leader. Blackstar--as much as I disliked him--was a great leader. And none of this would be happening if he hadn't of died. Rowanstar is just an atrocious leader imo.

But in all honesty, I don't know how Puddlepaw will do. If ShadowClan is going to fall in the events between Thunder and Shadow, and Shattered Sky, it is possible he might even die. Hard to say.

All I know is that I feel bad for that poor kit. I mean, we don't know that he even wants to be a medicine cat and they expect him to be fully trained in a few months when it takes a warrior 6 moons and a medicine cat takes more than that.
Rowanstar is doing a terrible job leading ShadowClan. I mean, Littlecloud was sick for some time and Rowanstar did not think to choose an apprentice for him sooner. Not to mention he is doing a bad job at keeping his apprentices in check.

His choice in deputy is terribly bland, he treats his own mate like a kit, he's super stubborn about asking for help in BrS but is an utter hyprocrite and comes begging TC for help in AVoS. 5 mice says he'll ignore what they've done for him, like in BrS, and be utterly ungrateful foxhearts again. His apprentices are so disrespectful, most of them are more focused on battle training, instead of hunting, they sneak off, and don't even preform their apprentice duties right. Poor Dawnpelt was doing her best to help Littlecloud on her own, the apprentices should have been caring for him, yet they think he's some sort of waste of time. And Puddlekit being forced to become a medicine cat, we've seen what this does to cats, either depression and unhappiness; Cinderpelt, or nothing but grumpiness and solitary; Jayfeather. Also making newly made warriors have newly made apprentices, like what?? And do they not understand they're ripping away Puddlekit's normal life as a warrior? What about what he wants? He's probably too young to understand it now, just like Violetkit, they think just because they're young that they wouldn't have a say or feeling about these type of stuff. No wonder Rowanstar can't control his clan. It's bad enough there's rebellious apprentices, next up is a rebellious medicine cat, or a rebellious prophecy cat. ShadowClan had no right to Violetkit, just like they have no right to force Puddlekit to be a medicine cat apprentice. This is why I want one of them to be evil or something. I mean think about it, an evil medicine cat, or an evil cat that's supposed to save the clans because of the prophecy. They wouldn't really be evil either, just rightfully angry. ShadowClan deserves what's coming to them tbh. |

And that's what I was thinking. Rowanstar could've waited until now to give Wasptail and Stonewing apprentices since there were plenty of other warriors before and these two had only just become warriors in the previous book. |

At first, I defended his behavior since he was a new leader and he was trying to establish himself. But not? What the h*** Rowanstar. That is not how you run a Clan.
I honestly don't think that's a bad name. It kind of reminds me of Wings of Fire.

I don't think it's all Rowanstar's fault. At least when it comes to Puddlekit/paw. Littlecloud nearly died in Night whispers from greencough, and Flametail drowned. No one bothered to find an apprentice for him after that. And Blackstar was the leader at that time.
ShadowClan has always been flippant when it came to their medicine cats. Yellowfang's Secret show how they have very little respect for the position. I don't know if their attitude stayed that negative but I don't think that their attitude has improved all that much.
