{ Sometimes you just have to use the name Littlefoot. Of course! That could be very interesting. Thank you. I look forward to being in this Clan - I'm a little (read: very) rusty in my roleplaying. }

(Awesome! This is going to be good fun! And no worries, we’re happy to have you! Would you like to roleplay? I have mothshadow, slatewhisker and wildwater free. Unless youd like to add pigeon into the mix with wolf, frosted and wolverine for some dramatic fun XD as wolverine has just found out frosted is having kits, so it might be amusing for granddad to find out too XD)

{ I'd love to roleplay. It might take me a few posts to settle into it though, aha. Oof, as fun as that would be - I'd definitely like to start small at first. Little or Hemlock with someone would be fun - with whoever you're feeling the most muse for of your free cats? }

Littlefoot VerglasClan Camp With Slatewhisker [@velveteenwolf ]
She woke up with a startled gasp and a tense body. Fur sleep-ruffled and ears perked to attention, it took her far too long to realise where she was. Littlefoot's claws dug into her nest as she tried to slow the rapid pace of her heart, sides heaving as she took a few moments to count in her head. It's okay, she told herself, raising a shaky paw to pluck some moss from her claws before she sheathed them, you're safe. It was just a nightmare. Was there anything just about it? She decided not to think about it too hard. Her back arched into an elegant stretch and she stepped one paw out of her nest, and then the other. Slow, calculated movements. As her breath began to settle, she realised that she had slept through the night. A longer sleep than she had seen for a few moons - though she would not dwell on it now. Instead, she pushed herself forward and shook herself out as she nosed her way out of the Warrior's Den, fur along her back flattening as she did so. "Oof," she took a step back as she bumped into someone far larger than herself. Scent reached her before she opened her eyes. Slatewhisker? Her eyes widened a little as she looked up, and she hopped elegantly to the side. "My apologies," her mew was sleep-thick. "I wasn't watching where I was going."

Slatewhisker - - - VerglasClan Camp; Littlefoot; @aconite
An ambush at this early hour and especially at the centre of camp had not been what Slatewhisker had been expecting as he attempted to make his way into the warriors den. Skidding to a stop but not in time to prevent himself colliding with the far smaller shecat, it was apparent just how taken aback the dark furred tom was by this sudden wall. Though he was tired, he couldn't remember there being a wall in camp before, but here he was stopped in his tracks. And most certainly he had not been expecting a wall capable of talking back to him. Blinking his eyes open as best as he could, they were blurred with the need for sleep but he did his best to carry himself with the usual pride he had, even if he was all but stumbling on his paws with the attempt to stay awake after a long night of hunting and chasing. His ears perked forward, as though trying to figure out who the cat was until the familiar scent struck his nose. Littlefoot, he told himself, though if the fact remained in his brain, it was yet to be seen. "Its fine," it took a lot of effort for the muscular tom to not slur his words as he sat in place before the warrior. "Are you ok?" Blunt as normal, but at the very least he had been kind enough to make sure the smaller shecat was alright.

Littlefoot VerglasClan Camp With Slatewhisker [@velveteenwolf ] Upon closer inspection, she noted that the tom seemed exhausted, for lack of better words. Though she doubted she could hold his weight in the event of a collapse, Littlefoot moved to press herself against his side to offer support. That was what Clanmates were for, after all - to help another in the time of need. Her nose twitched as she picked up on the scents of their territory. Interesting, she thought. Curiosity got the better of her. "Have you been awake all night?" she asked quietly, before backtracking to his question. "I'm fine. Thank you." Littlefoot wondered if it was hypocritical of her to question Slatewhisker's sleeping habits. She was prone to the nightly wander herself, after all - but this was a different matter, she supposed. It was rare that she was tired to the point that it was this noticeable. "I apologise for keeping you from your nest," it was a realisation that made her feel more than a little bad. Her ears half-flattened as she ducked her head, watching the tom's face for an expression.

Slatewhisker - - - VerglasClan Camp; Littlefoot; @aconite
On a normal occasion the independent natured tom would likely have recoiled from the touch of a cat he didn't know very well, but at that moment in time he likely wouldn't have noticed if a pack of hounds came strolling through camp. It seemed to take a moment or two for the tom cat to realise he had been spoken to once again, and when it did he took a heartbeat or two to form an answer. "I'm fine," there was the more gruff tone of voice that most cats were used to hearing from the warrior. "Fox," the word sounded delirious and not entirely fully formed on his tongue, and frustratingly vague. However, fortunately the fact that he showed no signs of wounds on his muscled frame was enough to assume no fight had taken place that day. "I'm fine," he would have given everything he owned in order to curl up in his nest and just sleep for the rest of time.

Littlefoot VerglasClan Camp With Slatewhisker [@velveteenwolf ] Don't be overbearing, Littlefoot scolded herself, remaining at the other warrior's side as she tried to support him. She began to walk towards where she could smell Slatewhisker's scent the strongest, nudging him along with her nose. Her gaze flicked over her shoulder. For a moment, her mind began to wander - until the word fox brought her back. The little molly tensed. "Fox?" the word was repeated with a hint of tightness, "did you find one?" But she saw no wounds. Perhaps it had just been the scent? Worry nagged at her, made her stomach tense. If he told her, maybe she could--what? What would she do? Tell someone, maybe. Or she could go out and double-check, just to make sure it wasn't the sleep deprivation. Never doubt a Clanmate, she thought. It couldn't hurt to check again.

His initial response was one of sarcasm, along the lines of do I look like I found the fox, however he didn't have it in him at the time to voice such a response and shrugged his shoulders with a grumbling sigh. "I tracked it to the ridge beyond the Evergreen Cliffside, but otherwise couldn't find it any further," he explained firmly. Clearly annoyed at his own ability to find the animal who had tormented most of the night and stolen a piece of prey he had happened across. Tail flicking from side to side in frustration, not grateful at the idea of a vicous animal as close to camp as he had initially managed to find it. "But at least it seems to have gone from the camp," but the silver lining was a fine one.

Littlefoot VerglasClan Camp With Slatewhisker [@velveteenwolf] Littlefoot patted Slatewhisker's shoulder with one tiny paw before she hopped away, fur along her spine bristling anxiously. I can track it, she realised, ears perking forward and whiskers twitching. That's something I'm good at. She could confirm what Slatewhisker had scented, right? That wouldn't be too dangerous. She shifted between her feet and peered towards the den's entrance. "Alright," she mewed gently, "I can check it out. You should get some rest. You seem exhausted." Logically, she knew that she was stating the obvious. But she wasn't sure what else to say - pushing him to sleep (though she supposed she was keeping him awake) seemed like the best choice. Her tail lashed from side to side in a restless manner, eyes flitting back and forth from the other warrior to the entrance.

Up until then the tom had been rather lethargic, his body aching to the point where he could barely think straight or keep himself on his shaking paws. However, at the smaller shecat's response, the tom cat perked up and worry darkened his gaze nearly immediately. Slatewhisker, independent and frosty as he might have been on the best of days, was nothing if not loyal. And he wasn't about to let his clanmate get herself killed, regardless of how tired he was feeling. Grumbling a little, shifting his flanks from side to side and at the very least trying to appea more alert than he was in fact feeling at the moment. But the simple matter of fact was that he didn't know if he could make it from the warriors den to the camp exit without collapsing and falling unconscious from lack of sleep and exhaustion. Sighing with frustration at his own inabilities, the tom lashed his brown and white striped tail in a frustrated manner. "At least take someone with you, I'd rather not get you killed."

This was my last response with Firesnap I beleive. Firesnap found the question slightly odd, seeing that the two of them were not close, but just continued to entertain the apprentice. Once a tail length away he sat down and curled his fluffy dark ginger tail around his fuzzy paws. "I slept okay, okay as anyone who sleeps next to Hazeflight." The tom spoke the beloved old shecats name in a hushed tone, not wanting to embarrass anyone. His whiskers twitched in amusement at his own joke, and his dark amber eyes glinted playfully. "How about you? Is the apprentices den warm enough for you and Smokepaw?" His second question came when he noticed the poor young she-cat shivering. She was small so her body didn't produce nearly as much heat as his larger more furry self.

Lynxgaze and turned and began to hunt as well. As she wondered about, the dark tabby came across the scent of rabbit. Sniffing the air she singled out it's location and stalked in it's direction. Slowly the moved around one of the Tumbled Trees until her green eyes were locked on the brown fuzzy rodent. Playing it safe she waited for the rabbit to move before she moved, and every time to creature did another little hop Lynxgaze closed in on it. Finally close enough, hee tabby pelt helping her blend in perfectly to the tangle of branches she waited for the time to strike. Just as the creature dipped it's head to eat, the warrior gathered her muscled and leapt forwards landing squarely on his back shoving it into the ground. Her claws dug into it's pelt and she gave a swift bit to the neck.
'A clean kill, thank you Starclan', she thought to herself as she rose to her paws and processed to carry the rabbit back towards where she left Smokepaw. Holding her head high she did her best to not let the rabbit drag, and she quietly moved towards Smokepaw just as she made a kill. "Well done, how many does that make?", she question a soft pride filled purr sou ding in her chest.

Littlefoot VerglasClan Camp With Slatewhisker [@velveteenwolf ] She moved to stand by the entrance, turning to look at Slatewhisker from the corner of her eye. A little chirp sounded at the back of her throat as she dipped her head to the other warrior. But she made no promises and instead ducked out of the den without so much as a farewell - save for a little wave of her tail. Littlefoot's pace was quick as she darted out of camp. Her jaws dropped open to catch the scent of fox, though the task was a little more than she had expected. I'll find out if it's left the territory, she told herself firmly, setting at a determined pace.

Returning to the apprentice and her mentor with a flick of his tail, the tom cat now added a plump vole to the growing pile of prey they had managed to accumulate between themselves. Making a silent prayer of thanks to StarClan, his gaze drifted across the snowy abyss they found themselves in, his nostrils flaring in search of further scents but for now finding none. All the same, the trio had done will considering how close they found themselves to leafbare, and this would easily feed a good portion of their clan. "I think we've done well," he exclaimed, puffing out his chest in a proud manner as he continued to swivel his ears around, but the clearing was peaceful and he felt there was little to be owrried about.

Hey guys, hope you're all well! Just glanced through and caught up. I'll post starters if anyone is open. ^^ A fox sounds exciting, mwuhaha xD))Pineshade - Evergreen cliffside | Hunting Pineshade hurtled towards camp, fleeing the woodlands with his ears flat to his head. A trail of belligerent yellow and black striped insects flew in pursuit; only to stop after the tom left their nest's berth, buzzing accusingly. While out hunting during the waning hours of sunrise, he'd disturbed the wasp nest in the Evergreen cliffside. A sickle-winged thrush flapped at an awkward angle from his teeth, a mouth-watering prize that bore consequences. The bird had fluttered upward in panic once it had spotted Pineshade stalking it, but stubborn as he was the large white and orange tom launched after it. Breaking its neck on impact, his momentum lead him crashing face first into the hive.Noticing that the wasps' angry buzzing had ceased, the white tom cast a glance over his shoulder for good measure. Winded but unharmed, he only nursed a bruised ego. Making his way back to camp with his bushy tail held high, Pineshade decided to keep this little altercation to himself. Fawngaze - Camp | Waiting to be usefulFawngaze observed camp absent-mindedly, her pale grey eyes inexpressive as sleep's cloudy grasp was slowly blinked away. Pale cream fur hung in ringlets from the ruff of her neck, still disheveled from the previous day. Smoothing it down with a swift lick, the cowlicks stubbornly sprung back- although the light colored she-cat didn't seem to care. Her attention was drawn elsewhere. The dark and lithe forms of Slatewhisker and Littlefoot piqued her interest, especially with the terse mention of a fox. Fawngaze wasn't eavesdropping, she hated intruding other cat's privacy. But being in close proximity to the warrior's den, she had overheard the exchange. Kneading the footing under her paws apprehensively, the mental images of the menacing canid flitted across her mind. With vicious teeth and a fairly large stature, foxes were dangerous. Especially if they were close to camp. Fire danced in Fawngaze's stomach as she readied herself for a possible fight. Not the strongest cat out there, the pale warrior always had to fight twice as hard to match her clanmates vigor.

{ Will do! }
Littlefoot VerglasClan Territory Alone If there was one skill she held confidence in, it was her tracking. The scent of fox was not a hard one to pick up to confirm Slatewhisker's story - but the freshness of it unnerved her. She began to trace it with a determined mind, bouncing along carefully to ensure that she was quiet but quick. Her ears twitched at every sound, her pelt jumped at every movement. This was dangerous - stupid, even - and she started to regret coming alone. But she couldn't have just asked anyone to come. There was a sort of nervousness that came with it. Her sharp nose picked up the scent of other VerglasClan cats. That's...Lynxgaze, Blizzardtalon...and Smokepaw, she thought to herself, veering off-course to head towards the trio of scents. When she spotted them, she approached with her tail raised and her ears perked. She appeared far more confident than she truly was; being the size of a young apprentice was an unnerving ordeal. "Greetings," her mew was soft, so as not to startle them. "How's the prey running?"

{ Of course! }
PigeonsongVerglasClan Camp With Fawngaze [ Tekoa ] Age made him ache. He was tired and irritated, one ear perked to listen to the sounds of the camp. Time seemed to pass so slowly when he was unable to do much beyond linger around camp. It was nice, of course, to have his food given to him...but life didn't really feel as good as it used to. He hated being an elder, but he had chosen to retire. Had felt himself slowing, knew that it was his time. Pigeonsong gave a low groan as he pulled himself to his paws, bones creaking and muscles tensing. It took him a few moment to begin moving, exiting the Elder's Den and entering the main camp. His tail lashed back and forth as he moved forward and let himself settle onto the ground, belly pressed flat and ears half-pinned. There was a cat nearby. Fawnpaw? No, she had to be a warrior by now. It was on the tip of his tongue. Fawngaze. That was it. He wrinkled his nose and gingerly rested his chin upon his paws, staring at the world through narrowed eyes. It was the movement that caught his attention again, only moments later. Pigeonsong lifted his head and curled his lip, trying to sense what had the younger cat worked up. Eventually, he decided it best to ask. "What are you doing?" he rasped in a low growl. Perhaps it was just the way he spoke; his friendly tone and his aggressive tone were not particularly different, after all. "If you're restless, do something productive."

Sorry! My internet cut out and I had to retype my post. )) Fawngaze - Camp | Pigeonsong (@aconite )
Distracted by Littlefoot leaving camp, Fawngaze was drawn back to the present by a gruff voice. Fairly startled, the curly-furred warrior scanned the area to find whom it belonged too. Recognizing the grey form of Pigeonsong, the she-cat felt her ears warm in embarrassment as she was scolded. Expression turned sheepish, Fawngaze readied to defend herself against the surly elder. "I'll find a way to be productive, I swear it." She responded, her tail curling around her paws to still them. "There was a fox sighting last night apparently. I think Littlefoot just went out to investigate, I was just about to-" Fawngaze cut herself off, unsure if the elder was even addressing her in the first place. Angling her ears towards the tom, she looked over his expression, and as always, struggled to read her clanmate's expression. If only she could figure out some cats as well as she hunted. "Did I disturb you, Pigeonsong? I could grab something from the freshkill pile if you're hungry."
